Wow. Erik Erikson at Redstate is having a complete mental breakdown on his site today, consumed with his obsessive hatred of Sarah Palin
[ Click above to embiggen -- it's a screengrab of Redstate's Google feed from today]
[ Embiggen the above...it's Erik Erikson's running taunts of Palin supporters all day today, beginning at 6am and presumably going through midnight tonight if he keeps this up. The screengrab shows the taunts through 11am ]
Folks — check out what’s going on at Redstate.com today.
Please keep screengrabbing the site throughout the day and send the JPEGs to us at HillBuzz@gmail.com. I’m not on a computer that can screengrab right now, and I want to preserve the insanity at Redstate.com for posterity. Every hour, Redstate takes a punch at Palin supporters and I don’t want it disappeared down the memory hole.
Erik Erikson, Redstate’s Editor in Chief, has an obsessive hatred of Governor Sarah Palin. Erikson has become, essentially, the new mouthpiece of the Cocktail Party GOP establishment — what Governor Palin calls “the permanent political class” — and is truly obsessed with beating the drum that the Governor cannot enter the presidential race for 2012.
Meanwhile…Erikson and his fellow sexists at Redstate make no similar remarks about Chris Christie, Donald Trump, or other males who are currently strategizing on the sidelines awaiting the best opportunity to make political moves of their own.
Governor Palin has a plan. She’s had a plan for at least three years now. 2012 is her best chance at winning the presidency and she well knows it. Everything she’s done has been to run the most unconventional campaign in American political history because she knows she’s up against not just the Left, the media, the Obama White House, and villains like George Soros…but she’s up against the Cocktail Party GOP establishment and guys like Erik Erikson as well.
She will not play by their rules or adhere to their timetables. She will do things her way, AND SHE WILL WIN.
In 2008, Chris Matthews, Tim Russert, and Keith Olbermann teamed up to demoralize and berate Hillary Clinton’s supporters in the Democrat primaries to push Obama towards the presidency.
In 2011, Erik Erikson has either been assigned, or has presumed, this role in the 2012 Republican primaries…but this time the woman that’s targeted is Governor Sarah Palin and the objective is to demoralize and berate HER supporters.
I wonder if Erikson drives a red, flashy sports car. Traditionally, that’s how guys with small penises compensate; though, in Erikson’s case, he does have Redstate at his disposal, so chest-thumping like he’s doing today, in an aggressive and repetitive assault on Governor Palin’s supporters, must be how this man asserts “No, really, I have an at least average sized penis. Really. Don’t believe anything you’ve heard or assume anything from the way I behave myself. Really. It’s not microscopic at all, and it’s almost fully functioning”.
For some reason, I’m not surprised that a guy like Erik Erikson in the Cocktail Party GOP establishment sports a shriveled up Vienna sausage and feels the need to compensate for it in the most childish way imaginable.
Whatever respect I had left for Redstate since Erikson took his gig at CNN is now forever gone.
Every hour on the hour he’s, very brattily, excoriating Governor Palin’s supporters shouting “She’s not declared yet!”.
I have news for Erik “baby dick” Erikson: Governor Palin will indeed declare her candidacy, precisely on the day Governor Palin chooses to.
It will more likely than not be after the October 18th GOP debate…since every debate men like Rick Perry lose more steam and the Governor benefits from not being the sole center of attention she knows she will be the moment she declares.
The Governor learned volumes from what men like Erikson did to Hillary Clinton and her supporters in the 2008 race. She is not repeating any of Hillary’s mistakes, and is stalking the GOP race like the master huntress she is.
Erikson is beclowning himself today and having quite a tantrum. His shortcomings are bared for all to clearly see.
Can someone please document it, so we can all call him out on this sometime after October 18th and show what an abject fool he’s made of himself today?
Please screengrab Redstate’s homepage from top to bottom so we get a complete record of today’s beclownment.

UPDATE: At 6pm 9/30/11, Erikson started making jokes about suicide related to Palin supporters.
It’s 6pm. Still No Smoke on the Horizon for Palin 2012
I’m thinking we need to put out the suicide prevention hotline. There has been no announcement.
Again, to quote U.S. for Palin:
Sarah Palin however has said she will make an announcement before the deadline to declare by the end of September. It is now September 8th, 2011 and all the media and her supporters have to do is wait till September 30th, 2011.
That’s *US* for Palin as in AMERICA itself people!!!!!
Here’s something Erikson and the guys (and I’d wager it’s probably 90%+ male dominated over there) over at Redstate don’t understand: they are going to trigger a backlash against not only themselves but the Republican Party by engaging in behavior like this.
Speaking as someone who has been conservative his whole life — but who was a Democrat until 2008 — this type of behavior is PRECISELY why I never felt any affinity for the Republican Party.
This is the behavior of immature, privileged, frat boys who taunt and gloat and make needless enemies because they think they’ve “won” something in the moment.
This is the sort of behavior that could very easily make Governor Palin’s supporters sit the election out if she does not run, because they feel alienated by childish “men” like Erikson who spend an entire day taunting them while representing the Republican Party’s typical members.
THIS IS A VERY STUPID THING FOR ERIKSON AND REDSTATE TO DO.
I remember when I was in high school, and went to a private school outside of Cleveland that had a lot of guys like Erikson in it, and I was just starting to really think about politics and was listening to Republican arguments for the first time…and I can honestly say the nastiness, the conceit, and the petty bitterness of the young Republican guys in my class completely turned me off from anything having to do with Republicans.
And I stayed away from the party for the next 20 years because of it.
If Erikson and Redstate’s goal is really to defeat Obama, he should not be alienating and making enemies of Palin supporters.
I honestly don’t think this clown or those at Redstate who think like him realize what they are doing…but if it wasn’t for Governor Palin’s leadership in 2010, the Tea Party would have splintered off as a Third Party and would have allowed Democrats to hold the house in that election…and a Third Party Tea Party entity in 2012 would allow Obama a second term.
The only way this splintering happens is if guys like Erikson drive Palin supporters into Third Party advocacy.
I really wish someone with direct access to Erikson would tell this fool that.

I really think the guy has a thing for Sarah and in trying to get over it he needs to demean her..
Erik is the piss ant punk that couldn't get anybody to sit with him in the cafeteria in the 9th grade. He was traumatized in gym class when the guys saw–and at least strained their eyes to see–his little member.
It's two full pages – and I've got the screenshots.
He deserves the scorn – this shooting our own is stupid and destructive.
Erikson is as big a boob as BO. Gov. Palin seems to have been entirely consistent in indicating that she would need to reach a decision by the September timeframe, not necessarily announce a decision by that timeframe. It seems rather obvious that she has already reached her decision, which I believe she will announce sometime during the next two weeks. The media and the blogosphere, including the apparently near-apoplectic Erikson, need to stop second-guessing Gov. Palin, and wait to simply report the news when she decides to make the news with her announcement.

I like RedState even less now, and I didn't think that was possible.
If you missed it, Erik, you Jack@ss, on Thursday evening, Governor Palin appeared on Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano on Fox Business. Many issues were discussed, but the chief thing to understand is that she basically ruled out an announcement within the next 24-48 hours to meet the “end of September” deadline some have inferred from her previous statements. I know that Palin is a smart player, because she refuses to get locked into a date and time by the media. She flatly told Napolitano that she holds her cards close intentionally, knowing that the media is relentless in trying to nail her down as to some arbitrary announcement date they have concocted and pushed for their own purposes.
This is a great move, because even now, the unrelenting circus of the childish “Draft Christie” movement continues, and looking at it objectively, it appears like a set-up.
At this point, if she holds off another week or two, it will make little difference for her campaign if she intends one.
If Chris Christie or other establishment-favored candidates intend to enter, their windows of opportunity will close much more quickly than Palin’s. They may have the advantage of money-raising capacity in the short run given the nature of their friends, but they cannot beg, borrow or steal enough name recognition in such an accelerated schedule, whereas Palin does not suffer that impediment. There already exists an army of supporters ready to leap into the fray at a moment’s notice. She has the best name recognition among the lot of them, and that’s pure gold in an accelerated schedule like the one we may now be facing.
Palin is smart to keep her cards close and play out her hand as she sees fit. While her supporters are still anxious for battle, most of them have now begun to see how this is playing out and have recognized the benefits of waiting a bit longer.

Well conservatives4palin.com is down. I hope it wasn't hacked. Being the optimist that I am, I hope it's just Sarah planning to make a major announcement the next few days and the site is preparing for it!
I can view the site just fine at 532pm CST.
When did you see it down?
I'm looking at it now. Works for me . . .
Erikson has truely gone off the deep end RE: Palin. I've read some stuff about his new owners, getting a big "head" with the national exposure – being on Hannity and all, but who knows. The one thing I'll hand to the Progressives is that they rarely eat their own. With all the momentum we Conservatives have heading towards November, 2012, this makes no sense, except that I believe only a Progressive would be against what Palin stands for – which is what our Founding Fathers stood for. Kind of a good litmus test, actually.
Erikson is doing to Palin and her supporters what Obama and the Left did to Hillary and her supporters.
FYI Erkison: Hillary’s supporters STILL haven’t forgotten or forgiven the Democrat Party for that.
Erikson and his ilk are going to cause a major and needless fissure in the Republican Party if they are not careful.
The odd thing is, Erickson thinks it's the Palinista's who have had the 'meltdown'. Still waiting for his apology to Virginia Senate candidate Jamie Radtke. Also beginning to think that they have something against women over there at RedState.
Not that it will mean anything to RedState – but he might wanna watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRP6OKNIvow&fe…
i have to agree. I normally go on redstate in the mornings to see what they're talking about for the day but this crazy posting every hour about SP has really turned me off. It is quite childish and unnecessary.
Look – there's a long way to go. We don't know who our nominee will be. We know we have a good lot to choose from – no matter what the media says. We have two Mormons, two businessmen, two women (potentially), we have a gay guy (yes), we have Governors, and a wide range of experience.
Every single one of them would make a better President than this activist schmuck we have in office now. Every single one of them has more respect for this country and for it's governing apparatus than he does.
If you have any doubt about this you haven't been paying attention.
The media and the Dem/"Progressives" will be merciless in their attacks. BUT – The media is waking up. The tone is changing. They cannot hide who he is any longer.
THAT should be the focus, and that should be RedState's focus – it will do no good at all to slip the knife between the ribs of our candidates, of each other. It will not do t o have our Gladiator going into the final battle mortally wounded and bloodied by friendly fire.
What RedState is doing today plays right into Obama's hands and does NOTHING to bolster the field.
And as for Palin waiting – Braveheart – "Hold! Hold! Hold!"
Eric can’t handle his man crush Perry sinking like a rock. Truth is when Palin announces, Cocktail Party pushes Christie in the race. His guy is eating dust.
Kevin did you see this story: http://minx.cc/?post=322011?
I posted a comment there titled "You're looking, petty, Erick", reminding of him of Reagan's 11th Commandment. But Erick thinks this is cute.
I think Erick is a jerk. He won't be on my "must read" list any more. If Palin gets in, and God-willing wins the nomination, will Erick damn her with faint praise to his bunch of trolls-in-training, and encourage them to vote for, what exactly? Obama? The Green Party candidate? Because Sarah Palin didn't meet his timetable?
I want Palin to run only if she's ready to take it to Obama for a solid year with brass knuckles, every hour of every day. If she's not feelin' it, I'll get behind Perry. If he's not up to it, I'll move on elsewhere. I'll even vote for Mittens over Obama.
Erick Erickson wants to pee in the water and call it lemonade. Jerk.
It is time for RedState to just admit they are either directly or indirectly a formal arm of the Perry campaign or loose all credibility.

He started with sabotaging Jamie Redtke, telling lies about her. He’s either having trouble at home or financially, there has to be an outside force that is making him act this way. It can’t just be for another dude running for office, if it is, he has even bigger problems. If you live in Virginia vote for Jamie Radtke, she’s been in there fighting the fight for years, please do your homework and check her record. We all need to do that no matter what on all candidates from now on.
HE IS A BIG FAT SQUEALING RINO PORKER. HIS CHEEKS LOOK LIKE THEY WILL EXPLODE WHEN HE EXPOUNDS ON CNN. CANT STOMACH THE MAN. THE ELITES ARE TRYING TO SHOVE " FAT BOY " CHRISTIE DOWN OUR THROATS AND HE WILL NOT "PLAY IN PEORIA". WHAT DONT PEOPLE LIKE COULTER GET ABOUT HIS SUPPORT FOR OBAMACARE, SHARIA LAW, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, GUN CONTROL, AND CRAP AND TAX??? HE ALSO HAS NEVER CREATED ONE SINGLE NON-GOVT JOB> GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
Mark America
This situation has been developing for some time. I always wondered what the date of the explosion would be, but unlike the movies, there was no ticking timer to indicate when the bomb of Erickson’s composure would finally explode .http://conservatives4palin.com/2011/10/erick-erickson-finally-explodes.html
Kevin, he's just an idiot–a mean-spirited, horrible–idiot, right? I mean, this isn't some sort of coordinated effort to try to force a third party run? I'm not usually all tin-foil hat, but the GOP establishment might be worried enough about the TEA Party to hand BO another term by breaking us off and making us look like idiots . . . thus destroying the TEA Party forever. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, so far this is just coming from that Erik right? (weird, I used to love RedState, but like you said, once he got that gig at CNN, he just drifted away from anything I'd be interested in reading/hearing, and this is just crazy to attack Sarah like this. Fox apparently is not happy with her either for some reason.).
"I'm not usually all tin-foil hat, but the GOP establishment might be worried enough about the TEA Party to hand BO another term by breaking us off and making us look like idiots . . . thus destroying the TEA Party forever."
You nailed it. The higher-ups in The Stupid Party are terrified of the Tea Party. We ( Yes, I'm a member of both local chapters ) are a true grassroots organization- not a bunch of Fat Cats on Capitol Hill or in Hot-lanta. We scare the sons of bitches far more than the Bamster does.
Eric used to run a good site. Pity he went nuts.
Fox is going way left, fuz. They were all in for McCain during the primary in 2008, so it's nothing new.
Bingo.
Erickson lost his relevancy when he went to CNN. His alleged reason for signing on with CNN was to gain audience. Well, he has done that – by way of trying to compete with Olbermann and thereby becoming like him. RedState lost its best and most intelligent writers months ago, with good reason. RedState used to be worth reading. Not anymore. EE's Palin dump is just a glaring example of why. The obsession (hourly posts, no less) with dissing Palin is disturbing.
I was never a Red State reader, but I do listen to the Neal Boortz show out of Atlanta several times a week, and I caught some Erik when he guest-hosted for Neal. I knew he was anti-Palin, but he was also surprisingly very anti-Cain and viciously anti-Ron Paul as well. But he has quite the bromance going on with Mittens Romneycare. Apparently Erik has a real problem with the Constitution, small government, the rule of law, low taxes… one wonders why, exactly, he's pretending to be a conservative.
i've not heard him dissing Cain, but it's interesting that he would, given that Cain giving up his night job on the radio (and as Neal's stand in) is why Erik's on the radio so much at this point…
If you haven't already… go and enjoy Mr. L at the Tavern as he talks about Sarah, Christie and FOX… http://mrltavern.blogspot.com/...
I stopped listening to Ericson on WSB Radio because of his bias. I don't always agree with Neal Boortz but at least he keeps it professional.
I cannot stand that man did you ever see him slobbering all over CNN. They need someone like they had before Steve Malzberg. I don't even go to his site. He is a true RINO
