WordPress Shuts Down “BareNakedIslam” After the CAIR Bears Threaten Violence Against WordPress Staff

The WordPress hosting service has deleted the site “BareNakedIslam” after receiving threats of violence from CAIR, Islam’s PR wing that operates in the United States and aggressively targets anyone who speaks the truth about “the religion of peace” — which is neither religious nor peaceful, but instead is a militarized criminal enterprise at war with western civilization.
I want to give you some personal insight into what it was like to deal with WordPress when HB was a WordPress-hosted site.
At least once a week towards the end of our time on the WordPress hosting service, WordPress would lock me out of the HB account while it “investigated” some complaint submitted by Obama acolytes who were determined to shut down anyone who opposed him and what he is doing to our country. The people who run WordPress are devote Obama cultists and kept locking me out of the HB control mechanism to intimidate us to stop writing about Barack Obama.
These lockouts would also happen following nearly every article we wrote about the weaponized death cult that is Islam. I was never told who was behind it, but someone out there would file TOS (terms of service) complaints about those articles, and WordPress would suspend my access to HB while they “investigated” them.
I was forced to pay a retainer to an attorney who’d swat back against each of these suspensions; it got to a point where we’d have these things cleared up and completely removed in under a day, because we got so used to them.
What’s very interesting to me is that WordPress governs itself with a complete and obvious political agenda with these sorts of things because it does not handle TOS complaints in the same manner when it’s someone they agree with politically that is being complained about. For instance, there are several websites out there that are dedicated to attacking both HB and myself on a personal level, where the authors defame me, have organized an effort to make me unemployable, have encouraged fellow Leftists to go after my employers so clients will not hire me as a freelancer, and where these hate sites have actively directed people to come after me physically here in Chicago. I’ve filed repeated complaints against these WordPress-hosted sites with WordPress, and every time I have been given a form letter response that “WordPress does not get involved in these matters and you need to take this up with the courts”.
That’s a stark contrast with WordPress.com making the clear and distinct decision to shut down BareNakedIslam, in the same way WordPress.com repeatedly blocked my access to HB (and on several occasions, mysteriously made this site disappear for a day or two as well).
This is why I made the decision to move HB to a paid server early in 2011 so that WordPress could not delete the site whenever they wanted, like they did to BareNakedIslam. During the 2008 campaign, Google’s Blogspot hosting service was caught deleting anti-Obama sites during the Democrat primaries. They were forced to stop when too many people noticed what they were doing and put it together that a concerted effort was underway to eliminate all opposition to Obama.
The same thing is happening now, with sites targeted for standing up to Islam.
Muslims attempt to terrify people into keeping quiet about the medievalist, barbaric agenda of “the religion of peace” in much the same way that the members of the Church of Scientology have for years attempted to terrorize anyone who exposes their cult for what it truly is. Because Muslims go a step further than Scientologists and threaten gruesome death to those who speak out against Islam, entities like WordPress cave to their demands and censor anything that does not praise “the religion of peace” and apologize for its death toll.
Though I don’t always agree with her style or some of the extremes she goes to, Pamela Gellar is a great hero of mine because Islam has declared an all-out fatwa on her for speaking out against the Ground Zero Victory Mosque and other efforts by Muslims to celebrate the murders committed by Islam on 9/11. I know the CAIR Bears have attempted to shut Gellar down repeatedly, and have made her life a living Hell because of her truth-telling, but she carries on.
I hope BareNakedIslam finds a home on a paid server of its own so that no entity like WordPress.com can delete it when it reforms.
It’s a huge expense to pay for hosting services because of the unpredictability of bandwidth usage on a political site. Every month around here at HB it’s a shell game of trying to find a credit card with enough room on it to pay for the hosting costs, but one or two articles that hit it big and make it onto to Rush or other highly-trafficked sites mean whatever bandwidth we’ve paid for gets gobbled up in a day when it was planned to last a full month. That means more bandwidth needs to be purchased or the hosting company threatens to delete the site the next day without additional payment. It is a brutal, never-ending, stress worrying about paying the server bills each month — but it was either that or having worry about WordPress deciding to delete HB one day if they thought they could get away with doing that and no one would notice.
Many of you have no real idea what goes into keeping a political site alive and have never had any experience with the “Scylla and Charybdis” that political sites must navigate on a daily basis: if a site remains on a free server like WordPress.com, then the site is vulnerable to being deleted at the whim of WordPress.com if an entity like the CAIR Bears threatens the lives of the WordPress.com staff and forces the site’s deletion; a site can avoid the scratching claws and venomous fangs of the CAIR Bears and other cyber-terrorists by paying to host itself on a commercial server, but the danger becomes just how much the cyber Charybdis will personally cost the site owner each month in bandwidth charges. The more popular a site is, the more expensive it is, and the more hundreds of dollars need to be charged to credit cards to keep the site afloat. Ads pay pennies a month and are not enough to cover the server costs, so paying for server space comes out of the site owner’s pocket and forces a lot of people deeper and deeper into debt every month.
We decided this year to protect ourselves from Scylla and deal exclusively with Charybdis, while BareNakedIslam got burned by trying to avoid the paid server costs and taking a chance that WordPress.com would not delete them because of the endless complaints of the CAIR Bears.
I am sure BareNakedIslam will reform on a paid server and I hope people out there become paid monthly subscribers to help defray their costs in continuing forward — since it’s unlikely the people behind that site will ever again want to take the chance of existing on a WordPress.com-hosted site.
Each month when the server costs come due around here I have often regretted the decision to move to a paid server because of the huge burden this has caused financially…but now I’m reminded of why we chose Charybdis over Scylla and I’m reminded that it was the best decision for us, whatever the costs because we never have to be afraid of the CAIR Bears or other cyberstalkers shutting us down again.

NOTE: It appears the CAIR Bears of Islam did this to BareNakedIslam because of the site’s participation in the pressure put upon Lowe’s to yank their advertising from the “An American Muslim” propaganda show on TLC. The timing on all of this is very suspicious, but typical of the way Muslims retaliate a week or two after suffering some setback. I’m sure there are just as many good and kind Muslims out there hiding under their veils and sheets as there were good and kind Germans living meekly under the oppression of Nazi Germany — but identifying individual nice Muslims today (or Germans in the 1940s) does not mean Islam or Nazism need to be treated as if they are “just another viewpoint” when the books they are based on, the Koran and Mein Kampf, have more in common than either has with actual peaceful, religious scriptures of true religions of peace in the world.

CAIR has a long track record as a "legitmate" group, but a group whose "legitimacy" has been maintained by cowards unwilling to confront CAIR for what it really is: a front group for Islamists and apologist for mass muderers. Respectable media outlets do not cave into CAIR's threats, insults and lies. Shame on WordPress!
Download the apache server and learn Joomla to build your site. All completely free. That is what google and other major sites do and use. No cost at all, other than your time to learn it, which is not unreasonable. All completely free. You don't need a paid host when you use the apache server, it is what your paid host is using themselves, and turning around to charge you for.
Sorry – it's not that simple. You need a physical or virtual server, and bandwidth to host a web site. None of those are free. Even if kevin were a Unix and Apache wiz, there would still be high costs associated with hosting this site.
The other thing is, I have very little computer knowledge. I have a very hard time whenever Word gets updated and I have to relearn the program based on the tweaks. I can do the simple things like create posts on this site, but I can’t do any of the web development things. I have friends who help here and there for free and are the intermediaries with the web hosting people we use, but in the end I have to pay someone to do the stuff that needs to get done.
I really wish I could go back to high school and college and not take any of the foreign languages classes I took, and instead take computer and web design classes. I would rather know how to program a website today than be able to read French. I wish I had better advisers in school or had any sort of clue I’d be running a political website in the year 2011 because all those years of foreign language study didn’t pay off as much as some computer classes would.
I really want to go back to school for some of this stuff. Maybe that’s something I can try to make happen in 2012, because when it comes to website stuff I feel like I’d feel taking a car to a mechanic…without knowing a damn thing about how cars work, but getting stuck with high bills I don’t have the knowledge to dispute.
I really am happy today that we made the decision to pay for server space so that WordPress can never do anything to HB like they’ve done to BareNakedIslam. There have been months where I had to choose between paying the server bill for HB and buying groceries, and I had to choose the server bills. There have been months when good friends like Kathleen had to max out a credit card to pay the servers because I was tapped out and had no room on any cards. I have thought many a time about shutting down and giving up, because of the expense, but I’m really glad that I never did….and I have to say that worrying about paying the bills is a lot better than worrying about WordPress arbitrarily deleting us one day.

A group of former regulars from another blog made our own private blog on WordPress where we could discuss issues without the need to babysit trolls, spammers, and other associated gutter snipes from the internet cesspool. I am incensed that an American citizen's First Amendment rights are now subject to the politically-correct filter of a group such as CAIR. I suppose, even on our private blog, we will now have to worry about ensuring that we don't offend someone who can't read our comments anyway. This human de-evolution into skinless and spineless goose-stepping head-bobbers is not so much a wonder to behold as it is a real pity.

I heard about this in the comments last night at Gates of Vienna. Better get over to Creeping Sharia before wordpress shuts them down, too. On the Lowe's thing: Is it just coincidence that former NC state senator Larry Shaw is now heading up CAIR, and NC-based Lowe's is now in CAIR's crosshairs? He's probably in the neighborhood anyway, waging lawfare on Derek Mothershead.
And Kevin, thanks for the education on what it takes to runs this site. I feel guilty even commenting and will try to keep it to a minimum, since I'm in no position to contribute to the cause at this time. You run first class operation here.
I always appreciate your comments, so please keep them coming. This will always be a free site for anyone and everyone to enjoy. But I do appreciate anyone who can afford it to become a subscriber so that the server and other costs can be defrayed. In February it will be 4 years that we’ve been at this and I just can’t personally afford it anymore and I’ve run out of friends to lean on to pick up the slack. If we had 60 subscribers, the site would pay for itself.
Hi Kevin…I just stumbled across this subject on my facebook feed. Im extremely upset that bare naked islam has been shut down…I have used that site repeatedly as a teaching tool and as a means to wake up many of my midwestern friends who have absolutely NO clue whats going on in the world right now….esp in the US with fights over Sharia Law, the honor killings that are taking place, and the stealth jihad occuring right in our own cities. Unfortunately Im a single mom and although my kids are grown I do have two in college which takes up any extra money I may have so Im terribly sorry Im unable to donate at this time…I cant think of a better way to spend my money at this point considering what dangerous times we are living in. I do use Atlas Shrugs quite often but if there are any other sites you can direct me to as a means of replacing the one in question I would be deeply grateful. Im so tired of all the PC Bull thats going on in this administration as well as our country as a whole and Im fearful that by the time people finally realize just what the heck is going on, its going to be too late. I host my own website on Dotster now, having just moved it from a much more expensive hosting service. Have you compared prices and services lately?
I’ve never heard of Dotster, but part of what we pay for is intense security measures. In November, we had a major hack attempt. We also pay to have several archives of the site maintained so that if ever we are taken down with a fatal attack, we can have the entire site restored in a day or so. There are close to a half a million comments archived, along with about 10,000 articles. That includes many pictures and video files. There is a huge archive here at HB.
Part of our server costs also includes doing a lot of behind the scenes website stuff, so it’s not as simple as just moving things to a Dotster. If we did that, I’d have to find someone else to hire to do all the other things, and find someone else to handle the security. The company we use for hosting is the lowest priced service I could find that can do all the things that need to be done.
I really want Justin to learn how to do some of this stuff so it can be his role in helping. He doesn’t want to write for the site and is shy by nature, so having him learn about website running would be a dream come true for me. It would be great to have an in-house technical person that can do all the things I don’t understand. But, getting Justin to do this has been hard since he’d rather be playing Goblin Quest or something more fun for him.
Count me in to help any way I can, Kevin. I'm learning to channel my inner geek for just this sort of emergency.

I read somewhere today that CAIR stands for Complain And It's Removed and I heartily agree. We better get a hold of this now, because it is really getting out of hand. And, coupled with the resolutions being put forth by the UN (with Arab insistence of course and with the blessings of the Obama administration) regarding making Islamphobia punishable by law, things are really going to get ugly.
It is not enough to drop wordpress.com. You must drop the software and switch to either typepad or moveable type!

No real surprise, is it? Secretary Clinton recently negotiated with Islamic jihad/hate groups about the criminalization of criticism. After the 2012 event, look for this action to ramp up beyond those sites (like BNI) too small to fight back.

Kevin, WP worry about "advertising" links more than 2 years old!!!! I had a minor problem recently and could not start up a new blog. The response I got related to a site I had not touched for 2 years that supposedly breached their terms of service. They never even bothered to send anything about the alleged breach in all that time, until I tried to create the new blog… go figure.
Why in the hell is this terror group CAIR still up and running after the government knows they have Hamas ties. Unreal…..why did we fight WWI and WWII again to save the world from evil such as this. I need someone to let me know if you can tell me why we had people die to protect this nation when you let BS groups like CAIR come in and support terror in the USA. America in WWII Japan said they have woken a sleeping beast. They Also said they would never invade American main land because behind every bush is a man with a rifle. Why is there a big terror group called CAIR in my nation? Why would a government let such things be in America. Have they never walked through Arlington Cemetery….I recommend it….I recommend CAIR take a field trip to Arlington Cemetery and take a nice long walk all day. They are nowhere to be found. The “heavyhitters” sometimes offer critiques and complaints, but never ever any sort of help.
That’s the problem with being a conservative voice: there is no George Soros equivalent funding things on the right side of the aisle.

Have you tried sending your letter to Hannity? He is interested in people who are victimized by the left and certainly by CAIR web sites. If you haven't sent it to him, please do so and give him an email or phone number where he can contact you.
Try sending it to Rush Limbaugh. Greta Van Susteren might be interested and try the FOX morning news segment.
Now that the U.S. has been officially declared a battlefield, cases like yours are extremely important. You keep us connected to what is going on.
If we lose the internet, we are lost…and this administration and CAIR knows it.
