Who is the Religion of Peace trying to kill today? Islam declares war on South Park, and a cartoon bear too.

Islam, the Religion of Peace, has now declared war on South Park and its creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Their crime? Depicting Muhammad as a cartoon bear.
According to the Religion of Peace, death is the punishment for so much as drawing a picture of Muhammad — because, apparently, he was so ugly when alive that the Scientology of the Middle Ages realized how detrimental his image would be to brand-management potential. If you’re going to start a destructive apocalyptic cult bent on world domination and the dhimmihood of the West, then you can’t have someone vomit-inducing plastered on your tee shirts and fatwa-commemorating plates.
Muslims are saying Parker and Stone should “wind up like Theo Van Gogh” for depicting Muhammad in their cartoon. Van Gogh, if you recall, was brutally murdered by the Religion of Peace in the Netherlands for making a movie called “Submission”, about how horrible Muslims are to women. Other Dutchmen were threatened and attacked by “peaceful Muslims” for drawing a political cartoon of Muhammad with a bomb for a turban. Religion of Peace adherent Anwar al-Awlaki has been calling for the assassination of anyone defaming Muhammad, be it on film, in cartoons, or possibly just thinking about how backwards and ruthlessly misogynistic/homophobic/anti-Western Islam is.
Apparently, this means Muslims must still be systematically hunting down the entire cast and production crew of the movie “The Goonies”, as the deformed Fratelli brother Sloth appears to be based, quite accurately, on the only physical depictions of Muhammad carried down through history.
It’s fascinating whenever the Religion of Peace calls for violence against cartoonists, because it reminds us all just why the Left in America is always so quick to jump to Islam’s defense and promote dhimmihood in the West.
Islam and the Left both employ Alinsky’s Methods.
They are, essentially, indistinguishable from one another in their methods, and in the way they personalize attacks on their opponents with laser-like intensity, vowing to completely destroy them for any perceived infractions.
And, like Islam, the Left happens to be at the absolute zenith of its power currently. It’s using everything it’s got to pummel all resistance, because it thinks its finally managed to seize power permanently.
But, both are wrong.
While nations like Britain, France, the Netherlands, and Scandinavian countries have been profoundly stupid for the last several decades, and have allowed Shari’a law to creep into their nations and force dhimmihood upon their people, we believe a reckoning is coming soon. Just as the Left currently controls America, but will be out of power soon enough. And, once removed, it will be generations before the Left can climb its way back.
Islam does not realize the damage it does itself by coming after cartoonists. It makes it hard for even the Left in this country to defend the Religion of Peace when it wants to chop people like Parker and Stone to pieces. Over a cartoon.
The more of this that happens, the more people wake up to just how dangerous, unstable, criminal, and cultish Muslims can be, and just what a complete and total crock that Religion of Peace nonsense truly is.

It’s for real. They apparently have an affection for sheep…according to my BF who has been to Afghan so many times this past decade I can’t even count. It’s disgusting.
It is indeed. Any society that so totally empowers men over women will necessarily be plagued by a tremendous amount of child sexual abuse.
At first, after 9/11, I tried to make myself swallow the “small percentage of Muslims who have perverted Islam” line endlessly pushed by the MSM. I like people, and I have no desire to cultivate eternal enemies. But that is exactly what Islam is all about. The more you look into what the Koran and the Hadith actually say, and what goes on in *all* Muslim countries, only if you will yourself blind can you buy that “small percentage of extremists” fantasy. For non-Muslims, Islam is a horror; for Muslims, too, Islam is a horror, even if they don’t know it. The Koran and Hadith are intensely focused on the subjugation of non-Muslims, and the most sickening behaviors are codified as exemplary. The latter makes sense, as Muhammed is not viewed through an allegorical but an actual lens: he is regarded by Muslims now, today, as the ideal man.
Islam is as Islam does, and as it preaches to Muslims to do and believe. And what Islam does and what Islam preaches are revolting.

I can relate to your comments, but I’ve gone back and forth so many times on this, my head is spinning!
My latest: just finished the engrossing novel “Shantaram,” which is fiction but very autobiographical–and one of the most humane, dear, wise, loving people in the book is a devout Muslim. And I have read even more books that are straight non-fiction accounts–not to mention people I have actually met. I do believe there are millions of good people who are Muslims. And what do you make of the Sufis, who are a whole subset of Islam that is focused on spirituality and peace?
Here, I think is the key difference:
Christians can be violent and mean, but they are in VIOLATION of their religion when they do that. The clear teaching of the Gospel is to love one’s neighbor and even one’s enemies. Other Christians, if they are brave and honest, will call the violators to account.
With Islam, they violate their own “holy book” if they DON’T engage in jihad. The very founder of their religion was a vile, cruel man who enslaved thousands, pillaged, tortured people, massacred people who wouldn’t follow his cult, and had multiple wives including one with whom he consummated the marriage when she was age NINE.
One of the late Theo van Gogh’s favorite insults for the Islamoids actually thematized that practice.

I can relate to your feelings of confusion about Islam, as of course there are plenty of decent Muslims out there. However, the problem is not what such individuals are like in their own lives here in the West or even in Muslim-majority countries. The problem is what behavior they will tacitly accept from those among their coreligionists who truly are up to no good in the name of Islam (and that includes engaging in zakat, i.e., the tithing of a percentage of one’s earnings to organizations run by such miscreants), not because they are afraid to speak up, but rather for the very real reason you mentioned: Islamic doctrine supports violence. The Islamic terrorists are *not* mistaken about their own faith; they are the ultra-faithful. How absurd it is to hear non-Muslim Westerners still, after so many years and so many Islamic terrorist attacks, assert that Islamic terrorists and their supporters “pervert” Islam. Think about what they are literally saying: Osama bin Laden, the Taliban, and the Mullahs in Iran, who have devoted their lives to studying the Koran, the Hadith, and the voluminous jurisprudential writings by Muslim scholars over the centuries since the time of Mohammed, somehow have gotten Islam all wrong — somehow they have misread, and continue to misread, their own faith’s holy books as mandating violence toward non-Muslims in the name of forcing the entire human race to submit to Islam. Meanwhile, non-Muslim Western journalists, academics, and politicians know the *true* nature of Islam.
As regards Sufism, while there appear to be some Sufis who preach peace, their message has never resonated with enough Muslims to matter. At most, they’re a couple of crickets chirping in the background.
In short, there is no logical reason for your head to be spinning anymore. The verdict on Islam is in: Islam is violent. It is hostile to other faiths. It is hostile to the principles that undergird every aspect of your liberty and the functionality of the country in which you are blessed to live. It is a mixture of religion and politics that promotes chaos, injustice, cruelty, and societal dysfunction in myriad ways; it is a prescription for misery and backwardness.
In many ways, Islam is comparable to communist/socialist doctrine, as it is an ideology preaching the subjugation of humanity for the sake of an imagined perfect future. Only unlike leftism, Islam is tied up with a notion of God, thus it is intricately mixed with the cultures of all Islamic nations. For this reason, while you will always meet Muslims who are perfectly nice in their dealings with non-Muslims, at the end of the day their religion and cultures tug them in a very different direction from the religious and cultural traditions of the West. In many if not most cases, I suspect that, could you be a fly on the wall at their dinner tables, their mosques, you would hear things that would make your hair stand on end.

I enjoyed watching a video of the South Park creators’ response to this. Their whole point was that they were able to show Muhammad in an episode years ago (before 9/11) and it was totally OK, but suddenly now it is not ok, and they think that’s a step backwards.
Good for them! Shows like South Park are “equal opportunity haters” where no topic is sacred, and I think that’s great. It’s over-the-top raunchy, but the biting satire and commentary on society is what makes this show so fabulous.
In all of this, one wonders where the oh so brave film-makers and artists who over the years have had a field day with Jesus of Nazareth (the Scorseses and Serranos) are going to take on Muhammed. Not so brave after all?

Yes, AFinch, being a non-Muslim is punishable by death and that is the order of many fatwa (can’t remember how the pluralize the word, but do recall that it’s not by adding an “s” to the end). Further, and perhaps more importantly, Muslims are to convert or kill non-Muslim (aka infidel) as per the Quran.

In a way we are lucky that Obama is so arrogant and naive. He has destroyed the Democratic party more than the Republicans could have ever done. He’s too ignorant to even realize it. It will be a landslide in November…and the next two years will be total hell for the president and then the DNC will have to start from the bottom of the scum of their shoes to rebuild. It took Bill Clinton 12 years to wrestle away Republican control and he only had it back for 2 years before he lost the congress. Funny how people forget those things.

An anti-jihad watchdog group has slammed two U.S. lawmakers for breaking their oath to protect the country by agreeing to appear as special guests at a fundraising dinner Saturday night for a radical Saudi-funded mosque tied to the 9/11 hijackers and the Fort Hood shooter, among other Islamic terrorists.
Reps. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., and Jim Moran, D-Va., have “trashed their oath to protect and defend the U.S.” by agreeing to attend the annual banquet for Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, a large mosque in Falls Church, Va., a suburb of Washington, according to the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force, or VAST.
The group also criticized Virginia Democrat Gov. Tim Kaine for agreeing to attend the event, while praising Democrat Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia for withdrawing from the event following complaints from concerned constituents.

Interesting that the network is forcing the censorship of Obama on SP, but nobody (including GW) made any noise about the Bush 9/11 conspiracy episode. There’s more to this. The network could’ve aired anything else if they felt so threatened. They made a statement, and a strong one, to a very large audience that might otherwise be hard to reach. Americans don’t like censorship, and they are seeing it connected with their president on their favorite show. Now there’s an impact. Good strategy, I think (hope). Choosing to look on the bright side today.
Sorry Hillbuzz, as a french national, i do not agree with your comment about France being as “stupid” as Britain, Netherlands and Scandinavia, for just one good reason : French people are catholics whereas Brittons, Dutch and Scandinavians are not. French are much less tolerant than Europeans from Northern Europe. Our problems with muslims are different, just as bad, but different. Also, who has been pushing for years for Turkey’s admission to Europe ? America. Why ? Turkey does not belong to Europe. Why is it so important for the various american governments to support Turkey’s 80 millions muslims application to the European Community ? Go to any hospital website and look at the doctors lists. At least half are foreign and most are Muslim. It is a fact. And if you think Muslim doctors are not a threat…let me remind you of Fort Hood.
In several respects the French response has been a cut above those of its neighbours. Suffice it to recall that Tariq Ramadan is persona non grata in the country, whereas he has been lionized in the UK and The Netherlands (and will shortly be introduced to the US).

Both believe that they are ABSOLUTELY right, that they have SOLE possession of the truth, and that anyone and everyone who opposes them must be, BY DEFINITION, evil–and therefore, to be destroyed, whether by character assassination or physical assassination. And the West should take heed that the one can quickly accelerate into the other. The Left and the Muslims both like to bitch and moan about the violent history of those calling themselves Christians–but it is NOTHING compared to the millions killed by Islam since the AD 600s, and it is nothing to the more than 100 million killed by the totalitarian Left in the twentieth century.

When I first heard that rumor, I dismissed it as paranoid tinfoil-hattery. Now, seeing him flip the bird to Israel and kiss Iran’s feet–to seemingly no political or financial purpose–I am very much starting to wonder if I wasn’t paranoid ENOUGH.
