What's Hillary Clinton's No Limits Foundation Up To?

Posted on September 30, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Click to embiggen

Ann Lewis and Leecia Eve are both personal friends of Hillary Clinton’s whom we met on the campaign trail in 2008 (both are very nice, and Leecia in particular is an absolute delight to talk to, like a favorite aunt or teacher).

The No Limits Foundation is essentially HillPAC, operating in this new form while Hillary Clinton is Secretary of State.  After HRC left politics and moved into Foggy Bottom, Lewis created No Limits as the official unofficial Team Hillary camp in winter quarters.

Everyone involved with No Limits is someone we like and admire very much.  For the rest of our lives, everyone associated with Hillary’s campaign will be considered family because of what we all went through together — you have no idea the strength of the bonds forged in that coast to coast battle.  We really love these people.  Truly.

But, we need to be honest here, because we think this is something even No Limits and Team Hillary in exile needs to hear…and it’s fascinating for us to come to grips with ourselves, now that we are comfortable calling ourselves Independents and no longer Democrats.

When we saw Lewis’ email in the in-box this morning we stopped reading once we spotted “organized by the International Association of…”

And that was it for us.

We hate the labor unions.

Every last one of those crooked operations.

We were Democrats for 32 years around here, but in 2008 we saw just how un-American the activities of the unions can be, most particularly the SEIU.  As a Democrat, you have to look the other way when it comes to unions and what they do to their members, and how much graft and corruption these organizations wallow in.  The unions are the Democrats’ hired muscle…the Democrats’ Hessians…and they are well-paid mercenaries.

Honestly, we love Hillary Clinton.  We love Ann Lewis.  We love Leecia Eve.

Hate the unions.

Here’s where words are going to fail us, so we hope you just go with this.

Seeing this No Limits message, and its invitation to come to this union event, we felt a heaviness overcome us.  A sadness.  This is like a therapy session because we’re talking about nebulous emotions here, but the unions so disgust us, particularly that vile SEIU and the crooked Teamsters, that the thought of ever having anything to do with the Democrat party repulses us…because we don’t want to ever have to go back to having to ignore all the bad things the unions do.

Robby’s sister Ann-Louise was once engaged to an Iranian guy who was crazy. He hit her, tried to make her wear headscarves, made her walk behind him.  It was insane.  To keep the peace and continue speaking to his sister, Robby and his family had to just bite their tongue and not say anything about this guy, no matter how much he repulsed them.  FINALLY, at last, Ann-Louise dumped him and realized how abusive he was, and now people can talk freely about how bad this person was for her.

If we got an email from Ann-Louise saying she was dating another Muslim or thinking of getting back with that particular abuser, we’d have the same feeling as we got when we saw this stuff about No Limits and the union event.

A heavy, sickening, malaise about the whole thing…compounded by a helplessness that we can’t do anything to stop this “date”.

Someone running as a Democrat will always have to make nice with the unions and go along with their garbage.  The way the Democrat Party is structured, it cannot win without the union thuggery, and the unions cannot survive without all the goodies the Democrats channel to them.  It’s a symbiotic parasitic relationship of longterm mutual destruction and national corrosion.

What’s interesting to us is that we know we’re not the only Democrats who realize the spell the party once cast on them regarding all this stuff has been broken.  Is this what it feels like to be in AA and NA, finally clean after years or even decades of having your judgment clouded by drugs?  When we think about ever having anything to do with a union, even so much as going to an event backed by one, it’s like thinking about becoming a heroin addict after having at last kicked the stuff.  It is a road we never want to be on.

Democrats really have no idea the damage Obama and the Left have done to the party. They really don’t.

There are probably tens of millions of people just like us out there, though we’re the ones with this platform to express how we’re feeling.

Never again.

Not even for Ann, Leecia, and Hillary.

Welcome to the light boyz…so glad you were able to escape the dark side. Actually that was a really good analogy and it makes it quite clear how you all feel when seeing things like this. I get it.

I only say that it’s not all union workers that are thugs…but with many of them ‘silence is consent’ and someday they are going to have to realize that.

Exactly – even if they are not thugs, they are funding the thugs and supporting the thugs. The membership feeds the fire, even as the leaders total screw the membership over. It’s sick.

But the SEIU members supported Hillary. They worked their heart out for them. We all went through hell together in 2008. But in that battle SEIU was on our side.

No — the SEIU was for Obama, not Hillary.

The SEIU thugs were out in full force for Obama in Iowa and helped steal the caucus for him. They were out for him all across the country.

What was it that caused them to go to him so early? Had backroom union deals already been cut by the forces backing obama? I find it difficult to track back the group influences in the election, because I end up feeling like we have to conclude that it was all locked in from early in the primaries. And that’s sick.

Don’t think for one minute that the left has forgotten it. Even if they lose both houses, they still retain “power” in lame duck until January something. At which time they may try to ram down our throats every far left agenda they can using nuclear options, resolutions, no 2/3 majority needed, whatever they feel like, including closed door sessions, no republicans need participately, and the like. And what do those who lost the election have to lose, absolutely nothing (not even their pensions which they still get for life). CAP AND TRADE IS STILL ON THE TABLE.

The thing that is ironic is that the same case could be made for Rush.

If Bush 41 would have won, Rush wouldn’t have had a Dem president/foil to launch his nationwide career against.

Of course, both Hillary and Rush were on their career paths prior to meeting Bill.

So, either way, it would be an interesting debate.

Rush’s show has been on the air for about 22 years, which dates back to when Bush 41 won the presidency. No doubt having the Clintons in the WH for 8 years gave him some great material, but he was well on his way up the ladder of success before Hillary sat on a couch for a 60 Minutes interview and told the world what a wonderful husband Bill was.

Evelyn dear, Hillary is in bed with the unions just as much as Obama. Always has been, always will be. Hillary was a Marxist/Socialist/Communist sympathizer as far back as college. Has been her entire adult life. She got on the Wal-Mart Board because she was the Governor’s wife. No other reason. You cannot be a Democrat politician in this country and not be beholden to the unions for your job. It’s been this way for over 60 years, and it isn’t likely to change. So unless you’re perfectly OK with this, you need to broaden your horizons and leave Hillary behind. Maybe you don’t love Palin; that’s OK. Conservatives and independents don’t all love her either. But if you truly love HIllary, you need to wake about about who she really is, and who she’s been in bed with for decades – and I don’t mean Bill.

A long time ago, when I was in my very first job out of college, a union tried to organize the city civil service for which I worked. A person I thought was my friend was one of the organizers. She asked all of her friends to sign a card that she said gave permission for the union to speak to employees. Turned out that it was something of a loyalty pledge to the union–in tiny, tiny print. I refused to sign. Did I ever see a different side to my “friend”!

My heart goes out to you. These things can be very painful. But truth is truth and honesty is honesty,

If Obama and his union buddies succeed at getting the card-check legislation passed, all a person will have to do in order to vote for a union is sign one of those little cards with the teeny tiny print. Today, to get a union certified, the union has to get a majority of the workers to sign those cards. Then the employer has to hold a SECRET BALLOT vote regarding the union. If the union wins the SECRET BALLOT vote, then the plant, store, etc., is unionized and the employer is subject to collective bargaining.

If card-check passes, the union organizers can strong-arm employees in any way they want, and simply by virtue of signing that little card with the teeny tiny print, if the majority of the employees sign it, the employer becomes unionized and they all become members. The employer does not even have to be notified that any union organizing activity is occurring. This is very dangerous, and MUST be stopped, before ALL of the jobs go overseas.

That is it exactly! I spent several years studying dysfunctional behavior, relationships and dynamics, never applying the lessons to larger groups, beyond personal relationships – and then BAM! 2008. I couldn’t close my eyes to the heavy dysfunction that is the dems (and my own participation) any more, nor with the media (and again my own riding along). I had learned too much – I recognized it.

But it feels so good to be free of it. Denial and continued complicity bind up a huge amount of energy. Once you free up that energy it feels great. Sure, now we have to worry about all those codependents still stuck in the matrix, destroying our country like zombies, but that’s a different angle. How can we teach them what we know now? Can they learn?

I’m pretty sure an AA model might be a good way to couch it.

As to the unions – I bang my head against the wall. So often, between a problem and its clear solution stands – a union out to bleed everybody white, like some kind of ebola virus. kwim? With family in Detroit (union family!) – I’ve seen it again and again over the years and most recently the horrid auto bailouts.

Speaking of unions, and more specifically public employee unions, please spread awareness about yet another horrible bill that seems to headed toward passage:

    http://reason.com/archives/2010/09/21/public-employees-vs-the-public

“In 21 states, collective bargaining by public employees is either banned or somewhat restricted. If the massive tribute governments pay to their employees is to be reduced, more states will need to follow this lead. But those 21 holdout states would be forced by the federal government to grant public workers collective bargaining rights under the Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act, a bill long sought by labor that as of this writing looks likely to pass the Senate with bipartisan support.”

Please call your senators about this one – yet another poison pill for the American people.

    Hi HillBuzz!

Totally get your point about SEIU and other unions..but I have to admit to giggling a little when I saw which union.

Isn’t this union the NASA guys/gals that Obama is trying to fire?

It looks like Hillary’s team is trying to get them some jobs or maybe even get their NASA funding back with a big noisy unemployed-due-to-Obama march.

Maybe I am reading it wrong but the NASA union is more important to American security than those SEIU jerks who want to forcibly unionize home care workers so they can steal dues from them.

Making a decision about changing the nature of a long term relationship is a specific point in time. Then comes the matter of walking it out, sometimes being required to do so with little notice. That’s not easy.

Thanks for walking us through this particular incident. It underscores again the seriousness with which you participate in what’s happening in our nation.

And it reminds all of us (including those of us coming at this from the Republican pews) that we had better be ready to have it cost us to take a stand for our nation. And we won’t have to worry about “taking a stand just to make a statement” in an artificial way. The need to take a stand WILL come up in everyday circumstances.

A very telling and poignant post.

Perhaps just as disturbing and even more revealing is that the No Limits Foundation, (being Hillary Clinton’s former political action committee) along with Organizing for America (being Barack Obama’s political action committee) is promoting a rally, called The One Nation Working Together Rally, which includes in the list of endorsing organizations a number of hardcore Marxist-Leninist organizations including the Communist Party of the United States of America (CPUSA).
    http://www.onenationworkingtogether.org/partners

That tells you all you need to know about what has happened to the Democratic Party.
