WHAT SHE’S REALLY UP TO: something you miss if you buy the stupid “falling on the sword” meme being pushed about Hillary Clinton today.
[ Hillary Clinton is not a woman who falls on a sword for anyone...but she is someone who knows how to take center stage in the middle of a storm and loudly define herself as the only adult in the room...while all the men around her are emasculated and diminished by her presence. ]
I love words and consider them tiny magical spells if strung together properly into well-crafted sentences. I’m a wordsmith and am fascinated by turns of phrase, especially ones that other conservative writers choose to use that I think are inappropriate in certain situations. Today, Ben Shapiro over at Breitbart.com has an article up where he insists Hillary Clinton “fell on her sword” for Barack Obama; I’ve long thought Ben was the weakest writer they had over there and this cemented that in my mind because while “falling on a sword” is a phrase he’s probably been using since high school (which was not all that long ago for him) it doesn’t really apply to what’s happening regarding Hillary and the Benghazi situation in Libya. Things are far more interesting than that, and “falling on a sword” is not what Hillary did.
I see that many of you out there are running around like chickens without their heads typing “Hillary fell on her sword!” too…and that makes me think less of you, frankly. Of course, this morning I woke up to about seven messages from my boyfriend Justin’s mother CarolAnne (a Hillary hater of longstanding commitment to that cause) practically giggling that “your bitch Hillary fell on her sword and is done with now!”, with CarolAnne getting nastier and more vulgar than usual in her obscene phone calls to our voicemail. CarolAnne is a lovely woman, but she becomes mentally unhinged when it relates to Hillary Clinton and she races to celebrate anything negative she perceives happening to Hillary. For over twenty years now, CarolAnne has been convinced that Hillary is her personal nemesis in life and this hatred has become even more of an obsession since she retired from nursing and has more time in the day to devote to Hillary-hating. I was not surprised to discover she started frantically trying to rub “Hillary falling on a sword!” in my face as soon as she woke up at five in the morning and decided it was time to start calling our apartment in Chicago as part of the “CarolAnne Breaking News Service” she’s been running lately.
Then there were all the emails in the in-box today: about 60 of them (and counting!) with various people out there disappointing me by writing in with some twist on the “Hillary fell on her sword!” garbage; I blame Ben Shapiro for a lot of this because it looks like a lot of them got their group-think notions from the Breitbart site. All of them miss what’s really happening here…which is obvious if you aren’t either blinded by Hillary-hate or are a political Tigger who jumps from one bit of excitement to another without really ever thinking about what you’re doing. This is like standing up in a theater shouting “The butler did it!” at the start of a mystery movie because you heard someone say that once, but you didn’t check to see if there was even a butler in the cast of characters…you just wanted to have fun shouting something in public because that got you some momentary attention, regardless of how wrong you were.
Let’s first ask ourselves what “falling on a sword” really means. I found a site called The Phrase Finder that defines the idiom as: to commit suicide or offer your resignation.
Has Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton killed herself this morning? No.
Has she resigned as Secretary of State? No.
Therefore, in the most basic sense, running around exclaiming “Hillary’s fallen on her sword!” is just stupid. If you’re doing this, please stop it. And tell Ben Shapiro to stop it, as well.
Whenever Hillary Clinton is involved in anything, you need to look at the timing of what she’s up to…and understand that everything she does has a Hillary-related motive to it that benefits her in some way that might not be obvious to you. Hillary plays political chess and often makes moves that people don’t quite understand. Here it is four years later and on this site I still see people trying to leave repetitious comments about how they “don’t know why she ever agreed to be Secretary of State!”. Well, she did that because she didn’t want to be in the Senate anymore after losing the presidential nomination and becoming Secretary of State for a while adds another title to her resume besides lawyer, former First Lady, and Senator. Now she’ll be a former Secretary of State in the future whenever she runs for president again (which she is totally still doing) and it makes it that much harder for any of her detractors and malcontents to scream “How is she qualified to run!” again like some of them tried to do last time.
Also — and it floors me that so many conservatives have such a monstrously hard time understanding this — Hillary needed to make black people like her again after the 2008 race when Obama’s campaign poisoned blacks against the Clintons in their effort to destroy Hillary. Remember Obama’s surrogates calling Geraldine Ferraro a racist because she supported Hillary and not Obama? Do you recall, right after the South Carolina primary when the Pigford bribes-for-black-votes was first happening, Obama’s campaign branding Bill Clinton (and by extension Hillary) a racist? All through the rest of the primary campaign, Hillary’s supporters were called racists for not “wanting a black man to be president” instead of the media accepting that Clinton’s supporters were largely people personally loyal to her who’d wanted her to be president for decades (in some cases). The fact that Obama was black had nothing to do with people’s support for Hillary, but Obama’s personal Ministry of Truth tried to paint her supporters as racists anyway. To this day, people like me who were once loyal Democrats will never vote for a Democrat candidate again because of the Alinsky methods used against Team Hillary in those primaries and the nonstop false accusations of racism that Obama’s camp has used as weapons for over four years now.
Hillary leaving the Senate spared her from voting for any of the crazy things that Democrats did during Obama’s presidency…which is something Hillary was burned with before in the 2008 primaries when Obama held her vote for the Iraq War against her once the war became unpopular and he could claim that Hillary shouldn’t be the nominee because she “voted with Bush” on that. Hillary Clinton is a woman who’s been burned and abused so many times in her life that she automatically maneuvers to make sure the same thing can’t happen to her twice…hence her desire to leave the Senate and not be vulnerable to votes on the record coming back to bite her again. Becoming the Secretary of State and joining Obama’s Cabinet also meant that blacks would see that she’s not a racist, because she is “helping Obama by being his Secretary of State”. This worked perfectly because I’m not aware of any black people hating Hillary for running against Obama in 2008. Whatever bad blood was engendered during that primary campaign has been completely forgotten as it if never happened in the first place.
As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has been completely untouched by anything insane that Democrats have done to the country domestically for the last four years. In fact, she purposefully escapes to someplace remote and exotic whenever Democrats are up to anything particularly stupid and memorable. Hillary Clinton even went so far as to be specifically as far away from DC as was humanly possible on Election Night in 2010 when Democrats were being shellacked by voters at the polls during the midterms. Democrats suffered the largest losses in modern American political history that day…while Hillary Clinton was literally dancing around a fire in Papua New Guinea wearing flowers in her hair and enjoying the squish of sand between her feet.
THAT is who Hillary Clinton really is…someone who plays the game of politics very well, with the skill and foresight of a master chess player. This is the reason she’s the most popular political figure around today…more popular than any other Democrat and also viewed more favorably than any Republican on the national level. The woman has game and continues to survive and thrive despite everything that is consistently thrown at her.
I’m sure Ben Shapiro is a nice kid, but he’s a fool if he thinks Hillary Clinton really “fell on a sword” to destroy herself to save Barack Obama. If you think this too, please stop coming to this site because you are using up expensive bandwidth and you clearly aren’t someone who pays much attention to either the Clintons or anything I’ve ever written about them in the last four and a half years. I’m really serious about this…if you can’t see that Hillary Clinton has a bigger plan in play here, then don’t ever load this page again because I only want astute and clever readers here…not people who think like Ben Shapiro and are racing around saying “Hillary fell on her sword!” today.
What I think she’s up to:
Consider the timing of the “I accept responsibility for the security failings” line that Hillary’s putting out there. She did this last night, after Close of Business, THE DAY BEFORE THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.
Hillary Clinton comes out and does something presidential…she in fact uses the classic presidential phrasing of “the buck stops here”…making herself look like the ultimate power in this administration, not Barack Obama.
Hillary Clinton has totally emasculated the current sitting president and some of you are missing all the fun because you are too busy shouting “Hillary fell on her sword!”. Dummies.
Today, while Democrats want to be focused on bragging about how well Barack Obama will do in this town hall debate instead the conversation is dominated by Hillary Clinton, as if she was the current president instead of Obama.
Do you think this is a coincidence?
Hillary knew full well what she said yesterday would prompt excitement and grab headlines…which sucked all the energy out of Obama going into this debate. Now, instead of preparing to go on tee-vee and try to remedy the damage he did to himself in the first presidential debate in Denver Obama is plagued by more worry about what Hillary’s up to now and how this is going to hurt him in the end. You saw how the night before that Denver debate when Sean Hannity played that old tape of Obama praising Jeremiah Wright how rattled it made Obama the next day. Well, Hillary enjoyed that so much she went ahead and rattled Obama again last night so he’d be off his game again this evening.
She did this for fun and sport…and also to remind many of her old supporters from the 2008 campaign that Hillary should have been president, and not Obama. That’s the kind of thing that subtly encourages former members of Team Hillary to sit home on election day if they’re not going to vote for Mitt Romney the way I am. Don’t think for a minute that’s not the signal she’s sending to her supporters…by showing them that she’s the only adult in this administration and that she alone is responsible and brave enough to come out and say “the buck stops here”.
The net result of all this is not any “sword falling”, as Ben Shapiro wrote and many of you have emailed or attempted to blast in comments here, but rather a woman who makes herself look mature and responsible while everyone around her plays a blame game and comes across as political amateurs.
This is Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton making the most of the cards dealt to her in this mess and coming out of it looking more presidential than the actual president.
Now that she’s done this, Obama’s diminished and is truly in a bind. Hillary’s just declared that Obama and Biden are both largely out of the loop and not involved in much that happens in the world. How can Obama then spend the next 21 days on the campaign trail claiming otherwise? It’s a great opening for Romney to repeatedly ask “Mr. President, who’s really running things in your White House?”. What does Obama say to that?
I know that some of you out there still don’t understand why Bill Clinton is out campaigning for Obama when the Clintons clearly still hate the current president. Yet again, this is about the black vote…and about Clinton doing everything he needs to do to prevent anyone from blaming Team Hillary when Obama loses. This needs to be Obama’s loss, with no scapegoats. Obama needs to lose this without any ability to claim that if only Bill had campaigned more things would have been different. So, Bill is out there showing blacks what a good team player he is so that no one can call him racist…and Hillary is standing up and taking responsibility for Benghazi so no one can blame her for not doing it.
To Democrats, this looks like Hillary is being selfless and noble…”taking one for the team”.
To Independents, it’s Hillary showing more leadership and presidential qualities than either Obama or Biden possess.
Republicans, it seems, just get to race around today foolishly shouting “She fell on her sword! She’s finished” like dummies because after all these years the woman who’s lived rent-free in their nightmares is still a complete sphinx to them.
I honestly will forever cherish the many personal encounters I had with Hillary Clinton during the 2008 presidential campaign because she is a figure in history that is truly unparalleled…a brilliant woman whose detractors attribute all sorts of magical powers to…but whose true abilities and cunning remain a mystery to all of them. The real Hillary is a little different from the one you see on tee-vee and is definitely not someone who would “fall on a sword” for Barack Obama. People who have studied this woman or know her on any level would agree that there’s no advantage to her in sacrificing herself for someone she detests. Why on Earth would she?
But Hillary Clinton is smart enough to seize a moment in her own way and come out of a mess better than anyone around her. My favorite photo of her ever is the one at the top of this article…Hillary in the driving rain in Pennsylvania thundering away despite the Obama Ministry of Truth telling her to shut up and go away and surrender the nomination to him. Hillary fell on no sword then and surrendered nothing…and she’s not doing it now either.
This Benghazi situation is a lot like the Clinton impeachment, actually, if you think about it. There’s a disaster for Democrats and Hillary’s in the middle of it and the woman expertly maneuvers herself into a position to best capitalize on the entire thing in the future. You’ll remember that how she handled herself during the impeachment and the revelations of Bill’s affair made her a Senator in 2000.
How she’s handling herself now — taking responsibility, proving herself to be the only adult in this administration, outshining Obama — is what she thinks will make her the 2016 Democrat presidential nominee.
And she’s right, too. She will be the nominee and nothing will stop her. The only thing that could have ever stopped her was a credible black candidate and that already happened to her. It won’t happen again.
It’s doubtful she’ll win the presidency in four years provided Romney/Ryan do everything I think they will do to bring the economy back to life, but those racing around today like little chickens crowing that Hillary “fell on her sword” and ended her political career are just foolish.
And clearly people who know absolutely nothing about Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton or how she operates.
There’s a reason I will forever respect and admire this woman even if I won’t vote for a Democrat ever again…and it’s because of her resilience and uncanny ability to twist and turn in just the right ways to avoid destruction by minimizing and emasculating the dim-witted men around her.
Which is precisely what she did to Barack Obama last night.
Just before his big, important, must-win debate.
That’s classic Hillary, folks, if you are smart enough to see the magic in her words and the brilliance in her timing.

ITA, Kevin. Drew at Ace Of Spades also gave a similar interpretation of events, saying Hillary saw how Janet Reno owned Billy Jeff after she took responsibility for Waco. It’s hard to see the optics being to Obama’s advantage when it appears his female Secretary of State has bigger balls than he does. Mitt needs to ask who’s really running the show in the administration and keep driving home this point for the next 3 weeks.
I was thinking the same thing, sort of. I was listening to Rush for a few minutes today, and even RUSH was defending Hillary, admiring her, etc. He was calling Obama a “pantywaist” for letting a woman take the fall for his own mistakes, and the thing is – that is what people are going to see. The stronger Hillary comes across, the weaker Obama looks. And the great thing is – Hillary couldn’t have done it to Obama if he hadn’t done it to himself first. If Obama had taken responsibility earlier, then Hillary couldn’t have done this to him the day before the debate. Rush also played a segment where a reporter asked Obama if Hillary was responsible for Benghazi, and Obama just walks away…. OMG, the emperor really does have no clothes!
It’s shameful how Little Barry hides behind a woman’s pantsuit. Rush played this clip of Little Barry ignoring a question about Hillary:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=URbuyKWMJ64
I saw an Obama spokeswoman on Fox an hour ago, saying “The President takes full responsibility.” I think he knows he’s been emasculated.
obama even stated that last night during debate but it had minimal impact, if any. obviously if he felt that it was his responsibility he would have stated that when he addressed the country during the funerals – he did not. it has taken him over 1 month to utter those words – and not because he believes it.
Remember also that the last debate will be all about foreign policy.
“Hillary Clinton took responsibility for this. So why haven’t you? And oh, by the way, haven’t you taken responsibility for X, Y, and Z?”
Don’t be an Eeyore. Check.
Don’t call leftists liberals. Check.
Don’t say Hillary fell on her sword. Check.
Da rulez! Da rulez!
It’s funny but I am not a rules guy. Or a checklist guy.
Just not a big fan of cliches or lazy memes. And never a fan of helping Obama, ever. Which is what saying “liberal” does so it’s a big thing with me.
Kevin, I can go along with you in your admiration for the Clintons’ political savvy and amazing survival skills. But can you at least concede that aside from advancing her own cause, she has accomplished absolutely nothing noteworthy in four years, and yes the death in Bengazi is on her. She has been the worst SOS in recent memory.
Colin Powell was the worst Sec of State in my lifetime. He went to the UN with imaginary cartoon drawings of Transformers-like super weapons that Saddam Hussein supposedly had…tractor trailers that could transform into mobile labs like something from the distant future…and he presented this as fact. Nothing like this was ever found because even the US does not have Transformers yet.
Hillary’s time at State was about getting her out of the country and away from the mess Democrats were creating domestically, letting her have a nice time traveling around the world to more places than anyone before her, making people accept her as a head of government figure, and repairing any damage with blacks that the 2008 campaign caused.
I think you forget, Steve, that the president is really the one who sets foreign policy and the Sec of State must put HIS policy in motion. So, she’s nominally done what Obama wanted her to do with his “reach out to Muslims” agenda and was not able to stop him from destabilizing the Middle East and helping Islam rise in many places. She’s not the president, he is, and this is what he’s been up to.
American voters don’t remember what Secretaries of State do…only that it’s prestigious to have been one. Obama will be blamed for all the things that have happened in the last four years…and in the next four years while Hillary preps to run in 2016 her book and speaking tour will make sure of that.
I admire her resilience and have never said there’s anything in foreign policy in the last four years that I’ve enjoyed from the State Department.
I’m actually kind of glad I never ended up working there as I had once planned before the 2008 election happened.
In reading around last night, some one posted comments about Barack Obama appointing people in the early weeks of the administration. People who were apparently supposed to be appointed by her but instead he circumvented her and appointed than and they answered to him.
This person was adamant about this. I felt they were a hillary democrat and they were annoyed that he disrespected her in this manner. The person seemed to think this was important information in light of the benghazzi scandal.
I don’t remember this but I wasn’t paying that close attention. Did this happen or is this someone spinning again?
I think whoever you were listening to was talking about Susan Rice.
She’s the UN Ambassador.
Obama made that a Cabinet level position, reporting to him, not Hillary.
Normally the UN Ambassador reports to the State Department, not the President.
Obama changed this for Rice, thinking he could essentially usurp Hillary on this and it hasn’t worked out the way he planned.
Ah you are probably right. Didn’t know that. Ok, now it makes sense, thanks Kevin.
It might be hard to articulate, but taking down your opponents in a competition is a GREAT thing. That’s what the competition is about. I love winners…especially when they prove themselves to be so much more formidable than I thought they would be.
When I compete in anything, I love to go up against the best. I love when someone gives me a run for the money. And if I lose, after giving my best, and I am beaten by someone who was smarter and better then I am still happy because the best one in the race beat me. The only time losing sucks is when you know you didn’t bring your A-game and you hate yourself for it or the person who won got the trophy because of either affirmative action or a rigged playing field.
I was an archer in college and was on the swim team…so it was always me against myself and also against whoever was better on the field or in the pool. I tried to bring my A-game every time I was up and as long as I did my best it didn’t matter if I lost if the person who beat me was spectacular.
Romney was spectacular in the primaries and I think he’s been stellar in the general election too.
Indeed and that is why he sent her to all the talk shows.Hillary wouldn’t lie for him.
I remember that clearly. Guess he didn’t trust her.
Another benefit of Hillary being SOS is she is the one traveling around the world making connects and building bridges with leaders and future leaders. This will help her.
I like the insight you give us about this, it makes me/us feel like “insiders”
I believe Hilary made a mistake by accepting the Sec of State Position. If she remained in the Senate, she might have been Sen Majority leader by now.
If she did not prevent Obama from doing so many of his stupid foreign affairs policies, then she is just as culpable. She should have prevented Obama from disrespecting our allies and cozying up to our enemies. Great Britain, Israel, Poland, and others have been disrespected. Iran, Pakistan, Russia and China have been treated better than our allies. Mubarak and Khadaffi were thrown out without thought of what came after. And Sept 11, 2012 is just the beginning of these two mistakes.
She should have resigned in protest if she thought these were the wrong policies. Instead she got along and went along, and we are harvesting the fruits of the failures. So, I am glad she is getting over on Obama, but our enemies will have the last laugh.
I’ve been waiting to hear your views on this, Kevin. I think Hillary acted before Obama and preempted him – just like Romney did the day after the Libyan attack – stealing O’s thunder before he can wrap his dull brain around events.
This threw The Won off his talking points, and he’s no good without them. The timing is also auspicious, as she probably killed days and days of his memorization of now dated pre-planned lines.
It was a gutsy call, and I don’t know if it will pan out for her, but she didn’t wait for The Won’s timing.
How is it that in the leftist mind, GWB can be responsible for Katrina, Abu Graib, bad intelligence in Iraq, etc., but Obama is teflon? “Heckavu job, Hillary.” Chris Stevens thanks you.
I blame Obama, because I think it was a botched plan of his. But I don’t think it would have been possible without her knowledge and consent and for the same reason I believe Obama fails either way on this topic. If you didn’t know, why not, it IS the job of the President to provide protection for US citizenry, specifically on US soil, such as a consulate. It is also Hillary’s job.
Epic fail for both of them. And that is why it may only slightly matter that she had the courage to accept responsibility. Four good men are still dead on their watch.
Also, the varieties of explanations are not exculpatory. Methinks the fog of war perpetually envelops this administration like an autumn morning in the Smokies. Endemic to the atmosphere of deceit and misandry, it’s a feature not a bug.
Nice article and I agree Kevin. She does sound mature and responsible versus Obama who never seems to take responsibility for anything.
Couldn’t wait for your take on Hillary’s latest move, Kevin. Excellent analysis, as always!
“Hillary Clinton has totally emasculated the current sitting president and some of you are missing all the fun because you are too busy shouting “Hillary fell on her sword!”. Dummies”
lmao
Touche Kevin,Touche.
What has HDRC ever done legislatively? Include her time as first lady with her time as the Junior Senator from NY. You say she plays “politics” better than anyone around. I agree if by “politics” you are talking about keeping an arms length from filth and failure. Sorry for the waste of bandwith in advance, but I read your site and pass it on to my gay friends here in NY, which are numerous.
I don’t think you understand how the Senate works.
Pull up the legislative record of just about any Senator…it’s pretty weak. Not a lot really gets done that’s labeled as a major accomplishment…certainly not as a junior senator.
Hillary’s biggest accomplishment was getting funds for 9/11 victims. I have friends in NYC who went to her personally for help and she helped them. I have other friends who lived upstate and her office always helped them with their concerns. She was an active and involved Senator who showed up for everything, didn’t vote “present”, and who worked late doing her job.
Whether you like her or not, she was a hard worker. The reality of the US Senate is that people who have not been there for four or five terms do not get to have big legislation passed in their names and in the last 20 or 30 years there have not been any fabulous and earth-shaking pieces of fantastic legislation to pass.
Faulting Hillary for this is dishonest and unfair.
Great analysis. I thought Hillary was up to something. I’m a republican, so I would never vote for her, but I’ve gotta admit that this lady is a pro. She’s succeeded in making obama look even worse than he did before.
“…and understand that everything she does has a Hillary-related motive to it that benefits her in some way that might not be obvious to you.” KD
Once again you show that Hillary is all about Hillary. We really don’t need her and those like her running our government. The “its all about me…me…me” crap needs to end. We need people who are in it for the good of the nation, not people who are only interested in themselves.
Okay..starting November 7th you can be all about this, because November 7th Hillary starts her 2016 campaign.
But for the next 21 days, put the focus on defeating Obama.
Then Hillary can resume being the big villain in people’s lives if they want. For the next three weeks, having her as the big topic of conversation is a waste of energy.
In the meantime, what do you think Bill will do to gut Obama for throwing State (Hillary) to the wolves?
I really can’t wait to see it happen. A man needs to stick up for his woman ….. even if he is a sleaze.
I think Bill will intentionally say something stupid later in the week.
You should really watch the show Political Animals on Amazon Instant video.
It’s a great insight into how Bill and Hillary really operate.
Thanks, I didn’t miss an episode. The linkage to the Clinton’s was unmistakable.
Thank you Kevin.
Bill and Hillary will not “fall on their swords” they will not go under the bus for this guy. They won’t, and it will be interesting to see how they position themselves in all this to leave the president flapping in the wind. Yes, the timing of this is perfect, and she also leaves open the lack of explanation as to why the administration kept going with the video reason, even after it was debunked.
Sykes played clips from HRC in 2007 when she used “the buck stops here” language, and that it stops with the president. If Gov. Romney is smart, he will use it as an in with the president, asking him when exactly *does* the buck stop with him, or does he just keep passing it along.
It will be a very interesting debate, indeed.
Perfect analysis!! Never, and I mean never, underestimate the Clinton’s. They might make a mistake now and then, but for the most part they are master chess players in the game of politics. I’m a die-hard Republican, but you’ve got to admire her at times like this!.
The Clintons combined are the perfect politician. Hillary is brilliant at organization, the long range plan and building an image. Bill is the master of the presentation, the crafted and nuanced speech. Hillary’s Benghazi admission had Bill written all over it. If Shakespeare was writing today Bill Clinton would be giving Julius Caesar’s requiem while Hillary tells Brutus he should get out of town.
**moniker only applies to lefties** Kevin, you own this issue. We all were waiting for your powerful response. Our countrymen and women are being raped and assassinated. Someone high up has to pay Lara Logan’s bounty. Thank you for your diligence.
I have to admit it was a shocker to hear that and then find the information online. I immediately came here and posted it and then realized others did the same. But, after that one post, could not get back on this site. So, I looked around to see who, if anyone, was discussing this and what was being said.
I really think the “fall on her sword” meme was right out there right away on the sites that were discussing this. It seemed to be posted, en masse, to those sites. Oddly enough though, they created a collateral problem they didn’t anticipate. Between hillary allegedly “falling on her sword” and the campaigns saying that Candy has to follow the rules, they’ve awakened those feminists.
I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of those gals pulling out that old t shirt “the right man for the job is a woman”…right about now.
It sounds very plausible that Hillary would play a very complicated game like this because people are questioning who is running the show?
It obviously isn’t barack!
However, no way would I consider ever voting for this woman as president of the United States either. She sealed her coffin!
I love the woman on a personal level. One of my friends is a personal friend of hers who talks to her almost every day.
I am never going to vote for a Democrat again in all my life so I won’t be voting for Hillary Clinton for president in 2016; if Romney does the job as president I know he will do, then he’ll deserve reelection.
I do want Hillary to be the 2016 Democrat nominee because that way she could still make history as the first female presidential nominee…so she deserves the right to shatter that glass ceiling even if she does not win the election (which I don’t think any Democrat can win after the mess Obama made).
It will be many elections before a Democrat can be trusted back in the White House.
I hope you are right about that Kevin because it seems like people forgot about the WTC too soon and elected Barack Hussein Obama.
Kevin,
I just came here to comment on exactly that. Hillary.
Obama made 3 fatal mistakes in his re-election campaign:
1. The coverup surrounding the events of 9/11/12
2. Painting Mitt Romney as a monster, not even entertaining the possibility that he wasn’t (I think Obama believed his own ads! LOL!), and allowing Romney to make the inevitable impression as a capable, caring human being at the debate.
3. Forcing Hillary’s hand, thanks in part to Joe-being-Joe at the last debate.
A few minutes ago I watched Megan Kelly on Fox interview a reporter who is working on a story about the Obama administration funneling weapons to “Syrian rebels”, right into the hands of Al Qaeda. No surprise, right? The thing is, that reporter works for The Washington Post.
Let me repeat that – The Washington Post. (Wish I could boldface that!)
And so it begins … the drip-drip-drip of “stuff” coming out just a couple of weeks before the election. And there is no doubt in my mind that the Clintons will be priming the pump.
The election is now officially over. President Romney has won. Our Amateur President and his Thug Gang from Chicago (Sorry for the Chicago reference. No offense intended.) are no match for professionals like Hillary or Mitt Romney. And those two together will make mincemeat of poor, little Obama.
Not that I feel sorry for him or anything …
Kevin,
First let me say, I am from Hillary’s generation, have fought the glass ceiling and for women’s rights my whole adult life and have always admired Hillary and supported her. I will confess, it killed me when she went to work for Obama as Secretary of State, but I always thought she was living by the old adage “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”. I also admit, I have felt safer having her inside his administration, rather than outside, so she could keep an eye on him.
I agree with you, she did not fall on a sword! She knows exactly what she is doing, she did not say she made the mistake, all she said was she takes responsibility because of her position. Someone has to put on their “big girl panties” and take responsibility! I also think she did this to give Mr. Romney fuel for the debate tonight. After all, didn’t she also say in 2008, “the buck stops with the Oval office”? She has made her point, we just need Mr. Romney to run with it tonight. Hopefully, he will do this and more tonight.
I wish you could see the SoS position for what it was — a strategic move — and let the emotion go. It’s not helpful emotion.
She would have been diminished if she had lost the nomination and just kept being one of 100 Senators.
And if she hadn’t been SoS, today you’d be writing that it broke your heart when Hillary had to vote for Obamacare without reading the bill first.
So, she’s forever damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t.
Story of her life.
Kevin you are dead right when you stated before that 8 yrs. of Obama would doom any democrat’s chances of getting the WH in 2016.
Hillary is hoping for a republican win and maybe real austerity in a GOP handling of the broken economy. Too many are fixated on the never-ending entitlements and govrnment support. That needs to be fixed and the republicans do tighten things up.
She might be hedging her bets that Americans will tire of the austerity and want the liberal democrats back and give her the title she was robbed of in 08.
Who knows, but she is a worker and perhaps the only busy bee in the Obama WH who actually works as I believe they are a lazy bunch of incompetents. She could easily fool a bunch like that with no problem.
I don’t believe Michelle or Valerie Jarrett are great intellects.
I thought the same thing, Kevin. One, the Clintons are first and foremost for the Clintons and there was no way in heck Hillary was going to take the fall for Obama.
For those of us who actually had social studies and American history, “the buck stops here” is a well-known phrase with a definite meaning and when she said that I knew, she was sending out a dog whistle that she was the responsible adult in the room.
I thought it was interesting that she accepted responsibility, but didn’t take the blame. She handed Romney a bomb and I fully expect him to throw it–most certainly at the next debate because this issue isn’t going away. Despite how one may feel about the Clintons, they play politics masterfully.
Kevin – “I Hate The Media” totally agrees with you. Here’s their take:
http://www.ihatethemedia.com/
Obama walks away from question about Clinton’s Benghazi blame. “Is Hillary to blame for Benghazi?” puts him on the spot: “yes” makes him look weak and weasely, “no” will confirm to people that he’s responsible. Well, maybe Hillary has outplayed the 11-dimensional chess master, after all. Excellent.
Kevin,
Never bought her being tossed under the bus for a second…She is driving it. Same thing with the sword: no falling–she stuck it to the community organizer. The only thing Hillary ever accomplishes is “standing by her man”—she is an abysmal failure, always has been. But the Clintons are masters at ‘branding”–not sure if she can get a successful facelift for 2016, but perhaps there is one Clinton left in the kettle of smelly fish….
I am glad to hear you would not vote for her Kevin, I guess we posted simultaneously.
I do believe she was short-changed and Hillary would have been a far better president; but anyone would be – other than this dope we have in now.
I am perplexed that the polls are so close. I know you don’t trust polls and I am in agreement with the Msm manipulating people, particularly the kool aid drinkers on MSNBC.
Still, I cannot believe Americans are that unsure who should be POTUS. It does not make sense. All I can think of is the Bradley effect where many do not want to be called racists or bigots because they have changed their minds about Obama.
I don’t care as I cannot stand him. He is a Manchurian president and I don’t know the depths of his incompency or is it evil? Maybe a combination of sorted factors, who knows.
Now, the democrats are working to get his presidential records sealed, I wonder why???
My opinion is that if Hillary was elected president instead of Obama
in 2008 we would still be slowly moving toward the cliff that socialism would bring us to. After all, if one is a little older and has been paying attention, one would realize that we have been slowly moving in that direction for decades. So slowly that noone noticed it; noone paying attention; noone in the political arena doing anything to stop it.
The major mistake that the leftists/socialists/marxists/communists
in Obama’s thug White House made was to fast track their
agenda.
This woke up conservatives and Americans who do not want to see their country ruined.
I understand that when someone is charming and likeable, when
they are nice to YOU and your friends, that it is easy to overlook
their narcisstic sociopathic behavior. Bill and Hillary do not deserve
a pass for what they did during their tenure to our military and
our country (giving/selling China secrets?, travelgate, Wag The Dog in Bosnia, bombing an aspirin factory, Hillarycare, etc.). Not
to mention the BJ in the oval office and the cigar/stained dress
episode.
I also understand that Obama and his thug regime is so evil that
Bill and Hillary look good by comparison.
Well I will go you one better – if they look good, just imagine how
good Romney/Ryan will look.
Kevin –
I heard Hillary’s “the buck stops here” interview on the radio this morning, and thought much the same as you – taking responsibility is almost always the right thing to do even (and maybe even especially) if the “blame” is sharable. But the long-ish clip of the interview played on the radio included Hillary saying something like “we knew that the compound in Benghazi was under deliberate attack and the entire intelligence apparatus and the administration had the same information we did.” THAT, along with the Tic-Toc released by State, is how Hillary is throwing Obama under the bus. Someone will pick up on it – there were two questions: (1) why were the requests for additional security denied, and (2) why did the Obama administration, via Obama himself and surrogates such as Susan Rice, continue to claim the incident was an Al-Quada attack for so long, insisting that it was a protest against the YouTube video that got out of hand. Hillary told us, in her interview that (1) yes, more security should have been provided, (2) she AND OBAMA knew right from the beginning that this was an AQ terrorist attack, (3) she wasn’t about to go on the Sunday shows with the false claim that this was not a terrorist attack, and (4) someone got Susan Rice to do it – Dr. Rice may or may not have understood what she was doing, but Hillary would not undertake the lie. The only question remaining is whether Susan Rice was informed that the video riot story was a sham before hand.
Excellent work, Mrs. Clinton!
in the above post, the sentence should read “continue to DENY [not claim] the incident was a terrorist attack for so long…”
I won’t accept the lies and manipulations of the MSM tonite when the pundints review the debate as they will NOT say obama was weak tonite, no matter how bad he performs.
I am wondering if Candy Crowley gave him a heads-up on the questions from the audience, because this guy cannot wing it without cheating.
Time will tell, I do think this Hillary stunt is exactly a sting for obama and it will be a challenge for him to answer the questions directly now.
The world is watching and the youtube routine was so ridiculous that he cannot get away with another one! He sent ms. rice out to dance her own death and he now has to face the music while everyone is watching!
Great post!!
How do you think the Prez will respond to Hilary’s action?
He’ll probably do more drugs and have a white junior staffer it the White House give him oral sex. Then he’ll call up Reggie and bitch about Hillary to him.
Answer: what he does every day.
White junior staffer? oral sex? Unbelievable. My God, Kevin…surely you jest.
Don’t you realize he’s being sarcastic here? Of course, I don’t think you’ve read his posts on this subject – you might want to spend some time reading these.
GASP!!!
You know that could never happen in the White House…..
oh…
wait…
ok.
never mind.
As you were.

Yep, Hillary is a scorpion and barry is a little bug. I have to think of people in the realm of the animal world, nature has all the answers.
All we have to do is identify the players accurately and the scenes play out.
Heh. I was just talking to my mother about this earlier.
Go Hillary. I must admit, I was in the same boat as Carol-Anne before I stumbled across HillBuzz, but your site’s really opened my eyes on this matter.
I’m still not a supporter, but I salute her sharp-mindedness, at least. And if she runs in 2016, I won’t vote for her, but I’ll certainly be glad she IS running…
I just wish CarolAnne would let go of the irrational hatred. It’s not healthy for her.
I’ve said this before, but if you hate anyone or anything in life it’s like you driving a car with a flat tire around town. It’s damaging you, it keeps you from getting where you need to go, and it’s stupid. Fix the flat, let go of hate, live a better life.
CarolAnne doesn’t have to love Hillary…but she should stop hating her. There’s a thing called “dislike” that is healthier. I dislike many things…including Obama, the Left, people who call websites “blogs”, people who say the word “liberal”, all sorts of things. I hate nothing and no one.
Hate is for Muslims, lunatics, Democrats, and lefties of all stripes (which, funny enough, is all one and the same thing most time).
When you hate anything, you join the ranks of these people. Not a good place to be.
I really agree with this. Except I have to admit, I really had a hard time with Obama. I disliked him many times.
Since Teh Won took office, my dad and I have constantly had this joke between us – Who knew there would ever come a time when we would wish for the Clinton years?
I have never been a fan of Hillary Clinton. Ever. But I can respect her – especially after four years of Barry’s administration bouncing between incompetent bumbling and outright hatred of America. I have to give her credit for stepping up and showing leadership during this whole crisis while Teh Won was off partying in Vegas and flirting with The View ladies. It will be interesting to see where Hillary ends up going with all this. But, like you said Kevin, that’s for after we get Barry out of office. That is priority #1.
I will say this – if Hillary runs against Mitt in 2016, she will be a formidable opponent.
By taking responsibility for Benghazi, Hillary effectively castrated Obama and is wearing his balls. The only way for Obama to get his balls back is to man up and take responsibility for being AWOL on US security and spewing the video did it farce for 10 days after the attack.
He tried that last night, but I don’t think anyone believed him. Everyone knows ValJar and Mooch have his balls. Now
The last two groups I would ever try to throw under the bus are the “Intelligence Community” and the Clintons.
This is fairly new on Drudge:
Despite statements by Vice President Joe Biden, the State Department is about to begin formal negotiations over the extension of U.S. troops past 2014, a top State Department official said Tuesday.
http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/10/16/state_department_official_negotiations_to_extend_us_troop_presence_in_afghanistan_s
Imagine the Foreign Policy Debate now that Hillary handed Romney a smart bomb;
“The President has Marines protecting the Embassy in the ever dangerous nation of France but Libya had no one, even after all of the threats, and requests for security by your admininstration was ignored while the President went on the View and David Letterman”.
He can’t blame faulty intel or a movie that no one saw because Hillary stepped up and took responsibility, meaning she more or less said; “Don’t believe anything the Obama White House has said up to now on the subject”.
There is a military term for ordering fire on one’s own position when you are about to be over run. That is what Hillary did but as Sec of State she knows she will be the last man standing and walk away. Pure Genius.
Another military term comes to mind “fragging”. As in “Sargent Hillary just fragged the useless 90 day wonder”.
Tired Warrior, she sure did! She helped end the nightmare that was the last four years. We owe her a medal! You and I realize what a drastic deed Hillary commandeered with her acceptance of responsibility….. “buck”…lol…she is a killer! I can’t stop smiling.
The Won should have studied war and learned how soldiers sometimes have to deal with a bad commander.
The Won is a self admitted poor student. If it wasn’t for affirmative action he would have never made it though Harvard. Hillary however could give Prince Metternich the shakes. It’s a shame she never made the grown up choice and became a republican. I hate to disagree with Kevin but I think Bill will make his highly nuanced speech tomorrow or Thursday only because speed counts and Obama needs to be taught a lesson, now. Any closer to the election and a few may blame the Clintons for engineering Obama’s loss. It will also signal the rest of the democrats that the big dog is taking back his pack. Faces will disappear – Donna Brazile for one, she chose unwisely.
Warning – I’ve read way way too much history.
It is being interpreted as Barack hiding behind Hillary’s skirt in some areas. Received this today from The Liberty and Freedom Foundation:
Odd…Does anyone remember Barack Obama promising that when he was President the buck would stop with Hillary Clinton??? Yeah, We didn’t remember that either!
The woman is sort of just a blast of energy. Her, plus Romney’s perkiness, demeanor, he looks refreshed and energized and ready to take over is such a contrast to…you know who.
Waiting for BHO to take responsibility for things we just wait…and wait…and wait. Then he says something about Big Bird and if it were four years ago people would have lauded his Big Bird ad as proof of his brilliance.
Kevin,
I think you put your finger on why Hillary came out with her ‘the buck stops here’ interview on the day before the debate: rattling Obama’s cage in such a way that he and his henchpeople cannot possibly blame her.
Being far away in Peru just underscores this clever strategy of hers: Minitru can’t reach her, she’s not available for five-minute appearances on the teevee for them, they’ve got to take her statements as is.
It’s positively Machiavellian.
We’ll see tonight how well her cage-rattling worked.
Not related but Interesting….http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/15/why-gay-americans-and-those-who-care-about-gay-americans-should-vote-for-mitt-romney/
CNN is doing “pre debate coverage”, they just played the Morgan Freeman commercial that they are all buzzing about. I have to find it and watch it again but Freeman doesn’t mention Obama. Obama mentions Obama when he approves the message. Would be too funny is someone hacks the commercial and inserts “I’m mitt romney and I approve this message”. The left would totally lose it.
Michelle! Hillary is doing it to me again!
Obama tells everyone that the troops are out of Afghanistan by the end of 2014.
Now, HILLARY’s State Department is in negotiations with the Afghan government to extend US troop deployment.
http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/10/16/state_department_official_negotiations_to_extend_us_troop_presence_in_afghanistan_s
More ammo for Romney and it takes away one of Obama’s “accomplishments”. Mark my word Hillary lives in Obama’s head.
Even Lisa Schiffren @ NRO gets it.
“Hillary Clinton’s ‘I take responsibility’ was in no way a mea culpa for the real scandal, the cover-up and weeks of ensuing lies. That story does not go away. It sticks. The truth will continue to dribble out, bit by bit, wearing away any sense that the Obama White House might have handled both the War on Terror and the Arab Spring effectively, and making it clear that President Obama and his political operatives went to great lengths to deceive Americans for. Whichever clever strategist decided that Hillary Clinton should take the rap was too clever by half.”
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/330585/win-hillary-lisa-schiffren
Bravo. Bravo. Bravo. To HDRC, WJC, and Kevin. Thank you very much.
Sorry for the typo, Kevin.
Looking foward to you cracking us up tonight at the debate.
Kevin, I really enjoy reading what you write but have a question/comment on this.
As I recall Biden said (not that you can believe him) the other night that they weren’t in the loop and of course the idiot voted “present” again and didn’t say much of anything so wasn’t Hillary just making the most of a bad situation by confronting this? And I really don’t know the answer to this but wasn’t it her dept that should have seen to it our embassy was protected? Also, if she knew this was Al Queda from the beginning then why the story about the video? One last question – if her intent is to show Obama for what he is then why is her husband still out campaigning for Obama?
Not sure every ordinary voter gets how impotent this makes the arrogant idiot look. Personally I hated the idea of a Hillary administration but at least she would have been on the job.
What a mess!
I had the same reaction as you, after an initial “is she really taking the blame for all this?” moment. More I think about it I have an image of her holding the sword blade-up, beginning to fall, then at the last moment thrusting it into Barry.
I suspect John McCain has the same thought as us. Yeah, he’s a crap-heap, but he’s also ruthless in primary battles and likely sees this for what it is, especially after serving in the senate with her for 8 years. His public comments skewer Obama in relation to Hillary (note what he says AFTER saying it could harm her): http://www.theblaze.com/stories/sen-mccain-hillary-clinton-not-fully-responsible-for-libya-security-buck-stops-with-the-president/
(Bonus – Lindsey Graham makes me like him, momentarily.)
Kevin, I think you are exactly right. I told my spouse this early this morning that Hillary showed herself as a president would…clearly in contrast to what we have now.
I am not a fan of Hillary and Bill Clinton but ever since you wrote that beautiful letter of apology to George W. Bush, I highly respect your opinion and beliefs on this subject. Thank you for all you do in fighting the fight to save our country. You have made a tremendous impact these past four years.
Kevin, amazing how great minds think alike.
Even before I read your spot on post, I thought Hillary looked more presidential than Obama by taking the heat. And making it seem like Obama and Biden were clueless and out of the loop. Really a brilliant move. Don’t mess with the Clintons, man!
She stands in contrast with Obama, who hasn’t taken responsibility for any of his vast and growing record of failure and incompetence. It’s Bush’s fault, or ATMs, or the Japan Tsunami, or EU problems or headwinds or an anti-Muslim film or ….
While I’m the political opposite of Hillary, anyone in politics or follows politicswho underestimates her is making a serious mistake.
Just watched Ari Fleischer and Paul Begala with Wolfie baby on CNN.
Begala made sure to give the PC point about the fact that we have so many good muslim Americans that we have to support freedom of religion. It was sort of out of the blue since they were talking about the fact that Rice gave an interview today and said that no one was picking and choosing information, they were using the information given to them.
Find it fascinating that hillary comes out last night and now Rice. It sort of made you want to ask “well, where did you get your information?”. If you didn’t know better you’d think she too was throwing the intelligence community under the bus.
Kevin, great column, as always. This is my first comment here, though I’ve been reading with relish your work for some time now. I’m not, and never have been, a Clintonista; in ’08 I voted for McCain/Palin, but not because I thought he would have been agreat president. I based my vote on 1) the clear evidence that Obama would be a disaster on every level, and 2) my preferrence for anyone but Obama selecting lifetime-serving Supreme Court justices.
Having said that, though, I’ve no doubt that Hillary, as president, would have assembled an administration of distinction, and would have done a far better job than the bozo currently occupying the WH. Whatever one may say of her, Hillary has never been a fool; while I don’t think that I will ever like her, my respect for her continues to grow. In an administration full of fools, poltroons, leftist ideologues, and just plain idiots (sorry if I am being redundant!), she stands out like a diamond shining in the mud.
I confess that your insights on Hillary have enriched my understanding of her actions and motivations, and endowed me with a certain empathy for her. For that, I thank you.
Good analysis Kevin. Great presentation of your thoughts justifying your conclusions.
The first thing I thought when I heard Hillary accept the blame was that it was a brilliant move. She looks powerful and Presidential, as well as giving herself a veneer of honesty. She also completely takes away any chance of Obama “manning up” and doing what he should have done from the beginning, accepted that it happened under his watch so he’s responsible.
Now I heard that Obama’s running around saying “The buck stops here, the buck stops here!” He knows he’s been screwed but there’s no way to go. If he takes responsibility then he “owns” the Benghazi attack security issue and the cover-up. If he doesn’t then he looks weak and unpresidential.
Classic Clinton move, and the surprising thing is that with all of the geniuses in the White House they couldn’t anticipate that that’s what she’d do if they tried to blame her. She totally emasculated all of them, including Valerie Jarrett, and that’s saying something!
To be a fly on the wall in Jarrett’s office……..hehehehe
Carol Anne is a nurse?!! wow!
She was a psych nurse for 40 years!
I’m so sorry Kevin, but when I read this comment, I burst Coca Cola all over my computer screen. I did not see this coming!
Great analysis on Hillary. Thank you for keeping me sane. I tend to go “there” sometimes (eeyore land), so it’s very nice to have Hillbuzz bring me back into reality. Thank you!
Hm, random thought: every time she sends Hillary Hatemail you could return in kind with a random Tmz/Daily Mail/The Dirty article that blasts her favorite actor (I say actor and not politician for obvious anti-eeyore reasons). Maybe if there’s return-fire the deluge will slow. Or, it could just be fun.
Honestly?
I will respond to her always with politeness. She’s Justin’s mom. She is who she is.
I am going to be the adult and not allow this to be a problem.
Excellent article, well thought out and exactly what I was thinking.
Romney needs to twist the knife into Obama’s ego tonight, congratulate Hillary for taking a leadership role and accepting responsibility.
Then ask Obama why Stevens was there with inadequate security on the anniversity of 9/11 knowing the embassy was attacked atleast three times prior. By now he should have had his intel brief from Hillary.
I smell a mixture of BCCI & Iran-Contra scandal in this cocktail.
Outstanding analysis, Kevin. This is, indeed, the opening day of Campaign 2016.
She most definitely did not “fall on her sword”. Had she done that, she would have resigned on the spot. She hedged by attempting to lay some of the blame on “security professionals”. That’s like saying, “I’m sorry, but…”
Yes, this does make Obama look weak(er) and that’s fine. Whatever. But it doesn’t wash the blood of four dead Americans from Hillary’s hands.
One question…do you think Hillary even bothered to let Obama know what she was going to do?
Great post on Hillary, and I couldn’t agree with you more.
Glad you are still with Hill and posting my favorite of her.
I am still a Hillary supporter over on Big Pink.
When I heard her I didn’t think sword falling I immediately thought RNC ad, 3AM call, woman’s hand reaches out for the phone & then Hillary’s clip saying she is responsible, then Obama sleeping.
This was brilliant by Hillary. She says what the President believes will exonerate him.
He pays her outstanding campaign debt.
And the Republican leadership is not going after her, they are going after the President. Why didn’t he want to know?
And it doesn’t matter whether someone told him or not. Whether he chose to stop attending briefings or not. He’s accountable.
Col David Hunt was on the Howie Carr radio show and he was outraged. He said that when the SEAL was on the air, sending live updates, there were no fewer than 12 bureaus getting that information live. And those updates, real time, were being escalated up.
There is no way that no one attempted to notify the President.
This is horrifying that no one was enabled to do anything.
Hillary could “Take one for the team” and collect that debt in 2016, or she could take down Obama.
If she took him down, the Democrats would not forgive her, and she is banking on people having a short memory and forgetting this by 2016.
Her “Payoff” is the debt the Democrat party leaders will owe her in 2016, and she intends to collect that debt, with interest.
Kevin,
When I first started reading your website I keyed into your comments about calling the other party by their real name “left” not the other ‘l’ word. It make complete sense to me about how Republicans have to stop saying that word.I totally believe like what you said ‘focus groups have told them it resonates better with the public”. I have already converted other Republicans to break that dirty habit. My co-worker now calls them “Evil Leftists”.
Thanks for all the tips, insights and great articles!
Kevin, great article. You have a gift, a talent, to write cogent essays that give reason and a clarity to your readers’ thoughts about current events. I just wanted to let say that and then this – YOU ARE FANTASTIC, Kevin. My soul gets healed when I come here.
Now let’s all praise PRESIDENT ROMNEY, YAY!!!!!!!
(Making nachos and salsa for the show!!)
Can’t say I’m clever enough to have realized what her plan was/is, but I knew you would have a good idea so that’s why I came here. Thank you! I was primarily worried that this would remove guilt from Obama but your analysis helped me realize that Hillary’s move still makes it all reflect badly on him.
When I read Ben’s article, I laughed because I knew she was not doing anything to help Obama. She was the ONLY one willing enough to take responsibility. It actually made her look good in new trend of blaming everything and everyone else. By doing this, she made herself the exact opposite of this entire administration. Then in the comments people were saying that “she was done.” No way….finally someone admitted responsibility something that is completely and utterly impossible for Oblamer to do.
Personally, I thought it helped her. She did run around blaming and making excuses. She separated herself from the current Romper Room in the White House.
Hi Kevin
I hope your theory about Hillary Clintons decision is correct. But as a former Hillary supporter who volunteered for her campaign in 2008, I have to say that this is her second failure in her duties as secretary of state. Although the terrorist attack would never have happened if the left didn’t aggitate for and fully support “Arab Spring” our SOS also dropped the ball by allowing the underware bomber to secure a US visa after the State Department was warned about him by his own father. People seemed to have forgotten about that because deaths were prevented by another passenger on the plane who put out the trogs pants and faulty bomb with his body.
I blame Obama’s love for the Muslim Brotherhood for all the horrifying events of 9-11-12. He has destabilized all of Norther Africa. He is controled by the Iranian lobby and Valerie Jarret has second generation ties to Iranian leaders. I have an Iranian friend who is an architect and was out of work for some time. Somehow she got a job in D.C. working for the National Institutes of Health. She said that there are so many other Iranian nationals working for the NIS. Irans lobby has powrful ties to Obama through Valerie Jarret.
Anwar Sadat gave his life for the peace treaty between Israel and Eygpt. Now that peace is blow straight to hell because Obama relates better to savages who want to kill US than pro-western leaders.
Romeny needs to bring up Arab Spring and the naivity of the left. Not since the days of NAZI germany has the Muslim Brotherhood enjoyed such support from a western leader. Obama’s foreign policy is a disaster. Hillary should never have gone to work for him. She and Bill had the power to burn down the party in 2008. They should have done it and saved US all so much time , death distruction and debt.
I just hope Hillary’s decision will result in Obama losing more of the female vote. I cannot understand at all how other Hillary supporters went with Obama instead of McCain Palin. John McCain has always treated Hillary with respect. Obama respects no woman.
Note ”
Sarah Palin also treated Hillary Clinton with respect.
In an interview today, Hillary set Obama up for the ultimate fall.
“On that day Ambassador Rice told five network Sunday political programs that the September 11, 2012 attack on the American mission in Benghazi was an unplanned spontaneous response to a privately produced video that criticized the prophet Mohammed. These claims have since been debunked by progressive and conservative media alike.
Clinton also said she did not know who briefed Rice prior to those appearances. “You would have to ask her,” she said.”
This statement begs the question, just WHO gave Susan Rice her marching orders?? Hmmmm???
kevin:
i also take the view that hillary clinton has out foxed bark “no bite” obama in this, just totally out maneuvered him.
by saying “the buck stops here” hillary just said, the buck doesn’t stop at obama. in other words, it is not his hand on the tiller of the ship of state.
and, i believe that obama forced her to, and she just outwitted him in the way she presented it to the public.
i hope you don’t mind if i post this link. if you do, just edit it out. but, i wrote this, http://wintersoldier2008.typepad.com/summer_patriot_winter_sol/2012/10/hillary-emerges-from-the-woodshed-chastised-and-a-sadder-and-wiser-rabbit-.html .
john jay
wintersoldier2008
I heard about this today and it seemed that she was taking one for the team, to take the heat off of Obama. I really didn’t care one way or the other. And then I read your excellent analysis of the event.
Thanks again Kevin. Your bandwidth is not wasted on me.
p.s. fyi, your article is linked at my post. i hope that you will give my post a look see. i am amazed, was amazed, that obama wrested the nomination of the democrats from hillary. it would be fun to know the ultimate truth on how that happened.
If Mr. Obama somehow eeks one out, I expect to see either Sarah Palin vs. Hillary Clinton or Paul Ryan vs. Hilaary Clinton in 2016. Should Gov. Romney win this year and succeed, which he has at least a 50/50 chance of, Secretary Clinton would have a hard time unseating him. All this talk of Vice President Biden running for the nomination in 2016 makes me chuckle and fart at the same time, sometimes turning in to loud guffaws and gasps of air. I expect a President Romney to be a cross between Reagan and Ike.
There are some hints that the first Presidential debate moderator was more a friend to the Clintons than the Obamas. There are speculations that what he did was for the Clintons.
For 2016, the Clintons need republicans in office. Four more years of Obama and no one will touch a democrat with a ten foot pole, but four years of republicans and she’s got a shot.
She’ll be spending a lot of time repairing the democrats badly damaged electorate.
I wouldn’t put it past the Clintons to be friends with Tim and to encourage him to give Romney a chance to talk. Unlike Obama’s administration, the Clinton’s scheming pans out better and is actually clever.
Have anticipated this post since last night! Knew you’d be on top of it, Kevin. People that have asked me what I think about HRC “falling on the sword” don’t seem to understand the whole “Clinton” machine. They say, “She’s done.” Or, “She’s toast – not a chance in 2016.” Nope. To those people – you are so very, very wrong! Would be interested in knowing if you think she informed teh won [like Creeper at 4:53 asked]. Thoughts on that, Kevin?
Debate in less than an hour. Time to order pizza…
Until I get that ugly video of Hillary out of my head (“the US is not responsible for that HEINOUS video…”) I will never again think that much of her powers. I used to fear her like so many R’s, but seeing that she couldn’t win the nomination nor prevent herself from repeating O’s tragic movie-blaming, I don’t fear her at all. She’s tiring out and I really doubt she’s going for higher office after this job is over. She played it well while she could, but 2016 doesn’t belong to her anymore than 2008 did.
Hillary has been very smart. Further proof:
http://theulstermanreport.com/2012/10/16/senators-slam-obama-on-benghazi-massacre-no-confidence/
The Senators are making it clear that the buck stops in the White House, and since then Obama has stepped right in it…..
This is not going to end well for Obama. He has been caught out with the big lie… and I might add that Hillary has been very clever in sheeting home the blame for that absurd excuse back to the White House.
Okay, Hillary can twist and turn to save her own political fortunes. But a capacity to do whatever it takes to grab power is not in itself admirable.
Surely she was not off baking cookies when Bill was using heavy-handed means to silence people who knew too much.
Those Rose Law billing records didn’t just magically appear in the White House after a year under subpoena. And when Hillary claimed scores of times under oath that she “had no recollection” of things she most likely did recall, her twisting and turning were not admirable.
And what has she sought to do with her power? She’s promoting the OIC agenda to suppress criticism of Islam.
She wanted to dictate what specialty a medical student could pursue and where doctors should practice, and she wanted to put doctors in prison for practicing medicine outside of strict government dictates. Etc.
My first thought was – “what is HIlliary getting from Obama for this statement.” While I think she gets “cojones” points accepting responsibililty – I can’t imagine a Clinton letting Obama off the hook without getting something in return.
WEhile I enjoy reading Mr Dujan, who, in my opinion is a branded Hillary Cadre, who will run blindfolded on burning coal, for Hillary. This entire construct is clever by half, presented by a gifted person with an obsession, touched by a strong female, an American versio of Lady MacBeth, the entire take sounds more of a groupy trying to justify why he is besotted by this outlaw rather than an objective explanation to readers who seek facts. Sword or no sword, if you are not capable of acknowledging her past you are in fact covering up for an outlaw, which is what her entire adult life is about. But the readers of this entry can find out from a reliable source more:

I had to post your insane comment, because this site has been quoted on Rush Limbaugh so many times that you have just proven yourself to be an idiot.
He has been Tamminated!
Please read Kevin – it is important
Kevin:
This info was on your site yesterday.
I understand that you cannot see everything – too much volume for any human.
However, this was a sad miss.
I hoped tonight that during the second Obama Romney debate that when addressing Benghazi events Romney would bring up this information:
http://audio.wrko.com/a/64657882/col-hunt-on-the-newest-libyan-revelations.htm ;
from this person with reason to know;
http://premierespeakers.com/david_hunt/bio.
This information would have revealed both Obama and Clinton as stone cold liars as to the events in Benghazi.
And if Obama and Clinton disclaim any knowledge of what Col. Hunt reveals, then they paint themselves as incompetent fools – at best.
Either way it all pans out, it is a win for America.
God Bless,
Rich
If you have the means, please pass this onto the Romney people.
God Bless,
Rich
I think she did it for a payoff.

I did not realize CarolAnne was a psych nurse for 40 yrs. that is the problem right there. Fortunately, I have been psych nurse since 97 and I did other nursing besides. I went into this field middle-aged also and I took a more mature perspective into the field.
Hatred is damaging and she should be well aware of that; she may be a victem of burn-out and that gives one a very negative attitude in life.
Hatred and tension can really destroy anyone and it also permeates upon others who are part of the scene. It is not worth fighting this on a constant basis because it takes up valuable energy.
Carol Anne should work per diem with patients or join a group.
She needs to stop projecting herself upon Justin and let him have a life. If she kept busy in something she was comfortable in; her mind would be more settled.
Even working in a school setting might be helpful for her. She might have burn-out and that is not good.
I wondered why you did not put Rush on your top ten list of non-eyores but now I know why. I side with him also. She got to power riding Bill’s coat tails and used him to get further by not telling on Bill and is constanly acting as a doormat for men to try to get power. She has been a useless Sec of state unlike strong real woman Condi. Wake up man, smell the coffee, look what she did to the travel gate people, just to put her people in???
Other than that I love your work!!
I didn’t think that Hillary was the “fall on her sword” type, but did think that it was a very classy, adult, and responsible move.
SOMEONE in that Administration needs to own up to the failure, the blaming of terrorism on an unknown YouTube video, to the fact that we have a dead ambassador.
Since Obama wasn’t going to do it, Hillary did. The families and friends of the dead deserve someone to say, “I’m sorry.” The ambassadors in other consulates deserve to hear “I’m sorry,” because they must think that the Administration is playing card games with their lives. Good for her.
Why is the brilliantly successful Hillary always hiding behind lying men?
Me thinks she may be greatest lier of all?
For decades my gay friends have always suspected she was gay. This speculation takes on greater interest when it is, and has been increasingly, voiced by heterosexual and professional men and women.
Hmmmmm…..
