What is the difference between slaves on plantations and blacks who blindly vote for Democrats?

Posted on August 18, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Best of Hillbuzz, Featured Content, Hillbuzz, Identity Politics, The Left

This is from an email that’s been going around for some time, but never stops being thought-provoking.  OR TRUE.

What is the difference between slaves on plantations and blacks who blindly vote for Democrats?

What does a slave-owner have to provide, free, for his slaves?
1. Free Housing.
2. Free Food.
3. Free Healthcare
4. A menial education sufficient to the task he requires the slave to perform.

What is the one thing a slave owner required of his slaves?
1. Unquestioning Loyalty.

What do the democrats always promise to provide, free, to blacks?
1. Free Housing.
2. Free Food.
3. Free healthcare
4. A free menial education, sufficient to get them to the voting booth.

What is the one thing Democrats require of their constituents?
1. Unquestioning Loyalty.

The only question black democrats have to ask themselves is:

Who’s your master now?

The Democrat Party survives because it keeps blacks poor and dependent on Democrat hand-outs to survive.

Democrats do something similar with gays: they keep us in check by scaring gays into believing Republicans are evil and want to kill us, so the only protection we have is to vote Democrat, Democrat, Democrat.

Democrats keep Hispanics under control by pushing Spanish as much as possible, so Hispanics never learn English and don’t progress as much in society.

Women are kept in line by Democrats though cultural wedge issues like abortion, where, once again, people are convinced to vote against their own economic best interests because Democrats create boogeymen to scare them into believing conservatives are evil and want to harm them or take away their rights.

If even one of the groups above could be reasoned with, and would actually see what the Democrat Party does to them, the fragile identity-bloc coalition that makes up the Democrat Paty would collapse on itself.

If you blindly vote Democrat, year after year, without ever asking what you REALLY get out of it, you are either a slave or a damn fool.

*****************************

UPDATE: Thanks to Rush Limbaugh for reading this essay on the air today.

I’m sure it’s made tons of people mad, but all of it is true.

The Democrat Party really will collapse if only conservatives would eclipse the Cocktail Party GOP establishment and start depriving the Left of the means to keep blacks, gay, women, and other indentity-groups subervient in their respective reservations.

The Cocktail Party won’t do this because those in the highest floors of the establishment LIKE things the way they are. Those at the top on the Left and in the Cocktail Party work hard to keep each other in power.

It really is possible to make all of this come crashing down by speaking openly about the reality of what it truly means to be members of one of these Democrat identity-blocs.

The only real difference I can see is if a slave committed a crime on a plantation, they were punished, nowadays, a demo-slave is given a pardon, parade, keys to the city, and other prizes.

The plantation owner demanded work from the slaves. Hard, back breaking work for as long as he owned them.
Democrats demand loyalty. The blacks are expected to vote Democrat every time.

The slave owner forced work from the slaves. The democrats offer the opportunity to work to black people.

Which is the difference between democrats and slave owners/republicans.

There are blacks that are seeing the light: Starr Parker, Alfonzo Rachel, Kevin Jackson. These are the younger generation (or young-ish) of blacks that have broken away from the plantation. We can help them and support them, but there's only so much we "whities" can do. Unfortunately, blacks must be awakened to come out of their Democrat supported stupors. Maybe this Maxine Waters and Detroit "revival" is a first step. (?)

      I LOVE Kevin Jackson!

Some other favorites: Bill Cosby, Michael Nutter, Thomas Sowell.

Thomas Sowell is actually the new Benjamin Franklin in my opinion.

If you have never read Starr Parker's book, I would highly recommend it. It is called "Uncle Sam's Plantation" and she makes the point very clearly that the black community has simply traded one "master" for another.

Thomas Sowell as Ben Franklin, I haven't thought of him that way but yes.
Dr. Walter E. Williams is another one
and I'll mention again my recommendation to read
"White Guilt" by Shelby Steele…it's an eyeopener, short book but thought provoking, excellent writer.

Can’t see why you like Bill Cosby, he just represents the view of most people in the black community, which you find offensive. If you know it, that is.

The difference between Bill Cosby and the others who are your heroes?

Your black heroes speak to white audiences as one of them about the problems with black people.

Bill Cosby speaks to black audiences as one of them about the problems they must overcome.

Even in the antebellum South there were freed blacks, better known as "Free people of Color" or FPCs. Cosby, Sowell, etc are just modern day PFCs in contrast to the rest that are slaves.

What is forgotten, is that several PFCs, particularly in Louisiana, owned slaves as well. Slavery was not about race but about social class, and it was possible that slaves could buy their freedom and some were set free by their owners (i.e. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson). However the backlash of the Reconstruction resulted in Jim Crow which engulfed ALL blacks, even those that were not slaves and those that owned slaves. While slavery was ended after the War Between the States, race relations were destroyed,
I believe that the Obama Administration is going to create an equal calamity for race relations, as the disaster which is and will continue to be the Obama Administration, will bring into question whether blacks are inherently competent enough to hold ANY job.

“Slavery was not about race but about social class, ”

Then why was it illegal to enslave a white person?

“and it was possible that slaves could buy their freedom and some were set free by their owners (i.e. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson).”

Neither Washington nor Jefferson freed their slaves during their lifetimes. They were freed only when neither one had any further use for them.

” However the backlash of the Reconstruction resulted in Jim Crow which engulfed ALL blacks, even those that were not slaves and those that owned slaves.”

So, now are you really claiming southern whites would not have oppressed black people if it wasn’t for those mean old Northerners who set them free?

“While slavery was ended after the War Between the States, race relations were destroyed,”

How the hell do you do any more damage to race relations than to enslave members of one race?

Your commentary is the real evidence that your beliefs are the real cause of the racial divide today.

You make some very excellent observations, Kevin. The more I read your blog, the more I like it.

While I'm not in one of the groups you mentioned, I too used to vote Democrat as blindly as any of them. I too thought the Republicans were evil.

But once I started looking in to things for myself instead of believing what "they say" I saw what the Democrat party was really all about. And so went my conversion from liberal to conservative. I consider myself much better informed these days.

And I think there lies the problem. Unless an individual is willing to look objectively at what they believe and be willing to question those beliefs, nothing will change. It wasn't easy for me to realize I was so wrong, but I had to face it and accept it. It's not easy, and I imagine peer pressure within those groups makes it even harder.

Because in certain areas of the country, the Republican state/local party is a mixture of corrupt and incompetent. Therefore, party registration becomes meaningless. Frankly, I see that there are three categories — and none of them are party-based: Tax-earners, Tax-takers, and Elite Tax-Distributors.

As a Democrat, Kevin may be able to affect conservative-based change better than he would otherwise. Other Democrats may be more willing to listen to his point of view, knowing they are talking to a fellow Democrat.

How do I know this? I am a California Democrat. Other California Democrats include Victor Davis Hanson, Mickey Kaus (anti-union who primaried Babs Boxer), and Contoller John Chiang (who has been battling the party and our Governor over budget inanity). The state GOP is pathetic; I hope it is better where you are.

Party affiliation has become meaningless. We need to get engaged and know the candidates and their records — and donate to those who are mindful of all their citizens, just not select groups.

I'm in California also and you're half right. The Republican Party ruling class is corrupt and incompetent. Yet, electing new grass roots leaders and taking over the Republican Party is the only answer. Every elected Democrat will continue to support Pelosi, Reid, Obama and the political slave masters. By continuing as a Democrat, you continue to support the very government you criticize.

Sorry, I have to disagree. I have managed to persuade several Democrats I know to support several ballot measures that help citizens. I think the proper thing for anyone to do is to use the tools and strengths they have to affect the best, most-positive change they can.

For me, personally, that does NOT mean becoming a Republican. Your mileage may vary.

Let me offer a different example. Your way got us Arnold SchwartzenKennedy, Jerry Brown, a liberal state legislature and a drowning California. My way would have gotten us Tom McClintock, Chuck DeVores, a pragmatic legislature and a rejuvenated California. While Republicans like Arnold are bad, there is no recovering from liberal policies and Democratic politicians, aka the political slave masters.

Actually, I disagree about all Democrats. John Chiang is the Democratic Controller of the state — and has challenged Brown and the party far more in the past few months than any Republican I have recently seen.

Frankly, I have a front-row seat for some of the state GOP inanity — two of my friends are Central Committee. Since Devore couldn't fund his campaign, like Fiorina could, state party minions spent months responding flooding conservative websites that DeVore was "unelectable". This Democrat fought back for Devore through the primary challenging their assertions. Result? Fiorina is anointed by the elite Republican establishment, detestable Boxer wins by 10%, and Devore would have had at least that much — and more name recognition on the state and national levels, good for use during an upcoming election. Thanks, CA GOP.

Just to let you know, I am the co-founder of the largest San Diego are Tea Party group, here: http://www.socaltaxrevoltcoalition.org/ I know how to Tea Party, as I have been doing it since Feb. 2009.

Over 40% of our membership is NOT GOP. We do not promote a party or candidates, and seeing the behavior of the past Republicans who were suppose to "save us" from the fiscal excesses of the Democrats, I am unimpressed. I prefer to shake up fellow Democrats and get more like Chiang elected — which, given that California has become a one-party state, is the better success trajectory at this point in time. This is my opinion, and what I am most able to do. Your way is not my way, which is why there are no "Tea Party Leaders" or a "Tea Party Template" on how to get involved.

Better to fill the "moderate" Republican Party with Tea Party Republicans. To vote the same RINOs like Gov. Ahnold is to insure the defeat of your future.

Agreed. They are all part of the Ruling Class, as mentioned in this fine work: http://spectator.org/archives/2010/07/16/americas…

I would respectfully submit that while both parties are incredibly corrupt and favoring the ruling class elite, the party with the most potential for change from that system, and by that I mean slightly fewer of the corrupt and probably evil, would be the GOP. Therefore joining the GOP and expelling the corrupt would seem the better bet for change in America.

That said I truly wish conservatives among Democrats the very best. If you can bring real change within that party, to remember America and forget balkanization, divisiveness and lust for other's money, that would be glorious. I would love that no major party benefited from what's bad for America and suffered for what's good for it.

If even one of those groups could see what the Democrats exploit them for, we might actually have dialogue in Washington over issues that matter, because Democrats couldn't use these situations to change the subject.

    — Yet the Republican's want poor black people to pay more in taxes while taking way said "hand-outs."

    — Yet Republicans don't what gays to be able to marry, or visit their partners in a hospital after a tragic accident or illness.

    — Yet Republicans don't want Hispanics in our country. Or have any means to get an education or the ability to learn english.

    — Yet Republicans don't want women to be able to choose an abortion, and yet they want to do nothing to help said born child.

I think the reasoning needs to come from the Republican side to finally accept everyone as individuals instead of black, white, gay, straight, hispanic, men, women or any other stereotype.

I've voted Democrate every election and ONLY after researching both sides.

Sorry JimS, those insane talking points are simply NOT true.
No one wants to take away "hand outs" from truly poor people, black or otherwise, but if they aren't paying any tax, then yeah, I think they should have some skin in the game.
Visit at the hospital, hell I visit folks there all the time, what idiocy are you talking? I'm opposed to re-defining marriage, but civil unions should be the same, just are not a religious ceremony. I truly believe a church can marry whomever they want, that is their right.
Conservative welcome legal immigration, from most anywhere, and immigrants have been learning english, when they want to, for years
I'm a conservative and am definitely pro-choice. True conservatives believe this is simply a decision that the government has no voice in.
I think your research has been SERIOUSLY lacking!

"Insane talking points" "NOT True" <— That's how YOU started your comment, but then dove right into Republican double talk and side issues.

"No one wants to take away "hand outs" from truly poor people, black or otherwise, but if they aren't paying any tax, then yeah, I think they should have some skin in the game." <— That's YOUR sentence where you start saying no one wants to, unless of course they aren't paying taxes, and you know poor people so well what "Skin" are you asking them to put "in the game?" Double talk and you make no sense!!

"Visit at the hospital, hell I visit folks there all the time, what idiocy are you talking?" <— Again, YOUR sentence! I'm not talking visiting little Johnny who just skinned his knee. I'm talking after a "tragic accident or illness" when it's "Just Family" allowed. You are avoiding the real issue!!

"I'm opposed to re-defining marriage, but civil unions should be the same, just are not a religious ceremony. I truly believe a church can marry whomever they want, that is their right." <— OK, now I'm starting to think you are doing this on purpose, but I realize it's what the Republican party has taught you. You say you are "opposed to re-defining marriage" but then say "I truly believe a church can marry whomever they want" What the hell is the difference? Oh, and the Republican party is against "civil unions" as well. You are using You are using more double talk and You make no sense!!

"Conservative welcome legal immigration, from most anywhere, and immigrants have been learning english, when they want to, for years" <— Republicans want to make legal immigration" even harder, AND they are they want to take away the SOCIAL programs that have been teaching those immigrants the english language. I'm amazed at the amount of double talk you use and I'm sure to you it makes sense. IT DOESN'T!!

"I'm a conservative and am definitely pro-choice. True conservatives believe this is simply a decision that the government has no voice in." <— Unfortunately you don't speak for your party. And of course you want the government to have a voice in it, you just what it to make it illegal and then shut up about it.

"I think your research has been SERIOUSLY lacking!" <— You may be able to talk circles around your friends and people without an education or people who haven't paid attention, but I'm not one of them! You may think my research is "SERIOUSLY lacking" but the only info you've mentioned is the same old tired Republican Sunday morning talk show non-senses that's been on the air for years.

TRY THINKING FOR YOURSELF! and MAKE SENSE!!

      1. Poor people (black and white) don't pay taxes. Tax increases almost always occur under Democrat party control. (research that!)
      2. Hispanics are welcome here, as long as they follow the current immigration laws.
      3. We don't want anyone killed through an abortion. Ever wonder why so many adoptions of foreign children take place here? We're allowing the killing of the American children who could be adopted.
      4. We DO accept everyone as individuals, and we want them to succeed, on their own, based on their abilities and personal efforts to succeed. But the democrats are the ones who keep telling them they can't succeed without the help from the government.

        1. You are wrong, stop believing the news and start reading about the issues. Poor people don't pay INCOME taxes!! Tax increases ALWAYS reduce spending in Washington. You won't believe it on face value but do your own research for once and you'll see it's true. Also, tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy has never created jobs, it's only reduced jobs. Do some research on that too!!

        2. Laws that make it extremely difficult for the less than well off to follow, and laws that Republicans want to make even harder and more expensive.

        3. Foreign adoption take place because our system is a joke! Ever try to adopt, know someone that has… That's why foreign adoptions take place.

        4. Plain standard Republican double talk. The Democrats aren't saying they can't!!! Show me one instance of that!!! So you equate success and the ability to survive simply on effort? Hmmmm… Big Banks and the Auto Industry sure seemed to try hard, but they needed a handout!

Wow! You really use the liberal talking points, and you sound very angry. Do you work in a government-funded organization? I did, and I recognize the government grant lingo, or someone who is acquainted with it. When the Jobs Bill RFP came out from the current administration, I couldn't take it anymore. The only reporting requirement was "estimate the number of jobs the organization saved or created with the grant funding"! Before Obama, every grant award required positive documentation of goals and objectives.

PS: I pay taxes on my Social Security and it's my only income.

For the record, I'm not angry and I don't work for a government funded job. I'm guessing you got let go from your government funded job because you probably failed to make any sense at your job just like you failed to make any sense here!!

“What is the difference between slaves on plantations and blacks who blindly vote for Democrats? ”

It’s the similarity that is important. Slaves on plantations were considered inferior beings by the white community they lived in.

Blacks who vote for democrats are considered inferior beings by people like you who think they are too stupid to realize their own best interests.

The contempt you and your kind express for black people constantly is the real reason black people vote democratic 90%.

Until you overcome your contempt, and recognize black people vote for democrats because they are intelligent enough to recognize democrats really are the only ones trying to bring them into the workforce, and into the society, as equals, you will never make much of an inroad among black voters.

You don’t have to hate black people to express racism, your contempt for black people is enough.

I have one disagreement with this. Neither slave owners nor Democrats seek loyalty from those they oppress. They seek dependence. They do it by convincing the oppressed that it is much worse elsewhere. Runaway slaves would be hunted down by men on horseback and beaten or killed. Democrats who stray off the plantation are savaged in the press.

Much of the Flash Mob mentality — where groups of Blacks have begun raiding stores stealing as much as they can in a few moments — is born of the entitlement mentality. They feel that they deserve what they steal as they have been taught that the wealthy — anyone who owns a business — are the ones keeping them down.

They fail to realize that what truly keeps them down is themselves. They proudly speak Pidgin English and eschew education while they misspell their own gang name on wall graffiti. Those who do otherwise, or attempt to rise above their appointed rank, are taunted as trying to be White, Uncle Toms, or House N—–s.

As long as the entitlement mentality continues, fed by the Democrat Party, Blacks will never rise above the station which their new masters have assigned them.

Furthermore past and present elected black leaders affiliated with the Democratic Party don't have a clue as to the essence of what it means to be an elected official. Elected officials are mandated by law and under oath to uphold his or her oath of office as mandated by the U.S. Constitution, to serve law abiding U.S. citizens, U.S. born descendants of slaves being inclusive and legal immigrants. This fact alone may very well kill off the "Democratic Party", the political party that serves illegal/undocumented immigrants, promotes "Jim Crow/Black Code Law Enforcement over the "rule of law", at the expense of the rights of law abiding U.S. citizens, and legal immigrants.
