Please tell the voting members of the IOC that the 2016 Games should go to Rio, giving South America it’s first Olympics, while sparing Chicago the financial burden and 7 years of corruption and graft the Olympics would bring us.

What many of you don’t appreciate is the fact that Mayor Daley has been involved in corrupt hiring and pay-to-play schemes for years.  Federal Courts have repeatedly stepped in to bring that under control, somewhat, and prevent Daley from abusing City finances too much.

There will be no such controls over the Olympics.  The Mayor will just use the money flowing into those Games freely, doling it out to his supporters and relatives like it was candy. And there will be absolutely no one who can keep track of it or stop it.

That should be sobering to everyone out there.  THAT is why we are working so hard to convince the IOC to send these Games to RIO.

Please help us — we have only 2 days left to stop this!

Take it from people who know how things work here…the Chicago Games would be a nightmare…please make sure the following people know it (email blast list provided):

6 In Custody For Damage At Anti-Olympic Protest http://cbs2chicago.com/local/daley.plaza.arrest.2.1216850.html

Chicago, the group that organized the rally, are headed to Copenhagen to tell the IOC that Chicago is in such financial straits it cannot afford the games and is such a hotbed of political corruption it doesn’t deserve them.

“We are bringing materials to back up our claim that Chicago is not fit to host the games,” said Tom Tresser, an organizer for the group.

Let’s see how far this group gets and if they are even heard…would be nice. They are working against the most corrupt group of people our nation has ever had in power. From the President on down, all from Chicago-enough said.

Good reading on this scandal – and from a Chicago newspaper writer – who’d have ever thought it!

“…Only a few years ago, the mayor ridiculed the Olympic idea. These days, he carries the torch in his teeth….
That crown was once heavy and uncertain upon Daley’s head, when the feds were raiding City Hall and sending his underlings to prison….
Surely the Obama White House, run by former Daleyites, knows that a Chicago Olympics will keep the mayor politically secure….

If Chicago gets the games, the contracts and the grease and immense leverage to reshape a city will be used as originally intended. To rebuild the boss, to give a mayor facing deficits and taxpayer revolts and headaches a much-needed shoring up of his political infrastructure….

Yet our president is no dreamer. His guys might sell Hopium, but he doesn’t smoke or eat the stuff. He knew he had to go to Copenhagen. The mayor of Chicago and Oprah Winfrey expected him to be there….”

Yeah, I agree. It sounds like they are saying God, so it kinda makes Brietbart look a bit silly. But then again, who’s paying attention anyway. Oh wait, this may actually make the national news just to prove the ‘hate talk’ from the right.

Oh this is rich from our well-spoken First Lady:

But FLOTUS Michelle Obama, on her merry way to Copenhagen, is singing a happy tune: “I mean, you know, most of these Games are taking place blocks away from my house. There’s good security by my house these days. And while Chicago is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, it is — people don’t live in fear. The downtown area is completely accessible…I know Mayor Daley, and he’s going to make sure that these Games go off without a hitch because that’s the kind of mayor he is. It’s not called the ‘City That Works’ for nothing.”

I wonder which SNL “talent” will look into the camera and say “I can see the Olympics from my house”? For which they’ll be lambasted for months by the MSM? Oh that’s right, none and never.

What B.S.! There are shootings every day in Michelle’s former backyard. Yesterday the senseless killing of a High School student made national news, which all takes place in Obama’s former congressional district. The South Side of Chicago (site of Olympic Village) is a violent and scary place. I guess the U.S./Chicago delegation won’t be telling that to the IOC anytime soon. P.S. I pray that the committee in protest gets there safely and is allowed to speak – there is still time to avert this disaster, I hope.

Hi all. Actually DeniseVB, they need three jets to transport Lord and Lady Obama. When Obama travels two jets are needed (one flys with Air Force 1 for communications purposes). In addition a jet goes ahead of time with the limo’s and the pre-visit people. I gather the cost of operating Air Force 1 is around $56K per hour. I wonder what the total cost of this little jaunt is. Anyway, my hopes are with you that the IOC awards to Rio.

Since this is open thread ….. what’s on my mind today is Roman Polanski, lecherous pedophile and scum bucket. Yes, yes, he’s a brilliant director, but I really don’t care. Can’t even stomach to watch the things he’s directed (Rosemary’s Baby, Chinatown, etc.)

Why would ANYONE defend this douche bag? It’s beyond comprehension, and I want to know why every woman’s group in the American (the world?) isn’t slamming Whoopie Goldberg for being a freakin’ moron! “It wasn’t rape rape?” (Link) Are you kidding me?

Polanski not only drugged and raped a 13 year old girl, he sodomized her as well! Exactly what would you call that, Whoopie? The girl repeatedly said no, even though she was drugged, and this sleezeball continued anyway. How is this not “rape rape?” (link)

The man needs to be in jail for the rest of his life, not only for what he did to this poor girl but because he has spent 35 years thumbing his nose at the American judicial system.

    Grrrrrrrrrr

This whole situation is vile. Last night I saw footage of Debra Winger pleading that he be let go because it was over 30 years ago. I guess O’s excuses of ‘that’s so behind us now’ is working it’s way into hollyweird. Because he’s a director we should change the law for him!? I think not DW, you treacherous slimy hasbeen.
What the hell is wrong with the women of this country? I’m appalled and disgusted at WG. She needs to be taken off the air. Where was BaBa Walters during this? Shameful.

I don’t get it either. How abysmally pathetic they are. I mean, COME ON Whoopi, did you hear what you actually said???

The same women who trash Sarah Palin with such hate, too.

** RED HOT JOHN KASS ALERT **

[PREVIEW] By going to Denmark with all the other City Hall politicos, including those from the White House, President Barack Obama is doing more than asking the International Olympic Committee to allow Chicago to host the 2016 Games.

He’s asking the IOC to make Mayor Richard Daley the king of Chicago for life.

    “Celebrating ‘The Wizard of Oz’…
    Maria Pinto’s Olympic Style”

“Maria Pinto is doing her part for Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Summer Games. On Monday, the designer unveiled looks she created for the delegates making their final presentations to the International Olympic Committee this week in Copenhagen. Pinto’s mix-and-match …….”

Get a load of that model’s glazed over O-Bought Zombie stare.

Michelle-inspired fashion mavens will want to know that the dress is in a mat-finish plastic material – made from recycled old car mats – and the fit is cut for a S&M bondage, fetish style ..

    Snark snark

What are the chances Obama would actually GO to “help” sway the Olympic Committee’s decision if he weren’t sure the committee WILL award the games to Chicago? I hope it’s not “in the bag” for Chicago, but he sure would love to get all the GLORY for “clinching” the event for Chicago, all the while knowing his appearance doesn’t matter at all. I don’t know, but it seems to me it’s already been decided or he wouldn’t risk the embarrassment. What do you guys think?

Oh the Precious would risk the embarrassment. People of Obama’s ilk can’t tell when they should be blushing to death because of embarrassment.

Just look at his non-stop Televised embarrassments from his start.

We’re lucky Obama didn’t profess his admiration for Notre Dame cathedral’s “flying buttocks” on his tours of Paris.

In her speech in Copenhagen today, First Lady Michelle Obama said her trip to Denmark, along with the travel of her “dear friend” and “chit-chat buddy” Oprah Winfrey, as well as tomorrow’s visit by President Obama, is a “sacrifice” on behalf of the children of Chicago and the United States. “As much of a sacrifice as people say this is for me or Oprah or the president to come for these few days,” the first lady told a crowd of people involved in the Chicago project, “so many of you in this room have been working for years to bring this bid home.”

Thought you might like to know about the sacrifice Michelle is making for all of us.
