H/T D.B. -- Palin, West, Brewer, DeMint, and Bachmann lead a charge for America and Resistance to Leftist Tyranny

Glad you could join us today…awesomeness already in progress.

Thanks to D.B. for the above photoshop.

This calls for some 80s hair band to get you further pumped up to do all you can today to kick the Left’s can right out of Washington.

Uh huh.

That’s right.

Not. Gonna. Take. It. Anymore. Lefties.

We might not know your name, but if you are reading this, you are the Resistance.

We don’t care if you are 18 or 80. We just know you have a valuable skill that needs to be put to use today to do something to save America from the Left.

You might be an awesome artist, like the guy who knocked the image above out of the park.

You could be a computer whiz who can turn some of our essays into YouTube videos and blast them out to the Net.

You might just have a damn big mouth and love to talk.  Guess what Sister Mister, if that’s so, then you’re on phone banking and canvassing duty for the next 34, so talk your socks off. Use all the words.  Then invent new ones.  We’ll start you off:  cromulent, embiggen, spadoodle.

Shut-in?  Got a phone in that house, right? Get with the busy.

Click to embiggen.

Mute? You can blog, can’t you? Spread our links everywhere.

Imaginary?  Hell, Democrats have proved time and again that you can, at the very least, VOTE.  Whether you are real or not. And while you’re at it, you can bring all sorts of cartoon characters, ghosts, and other invisible people with you and vote all day, in every state, just tell ‘em ACORN sent you.

We’re never going to get the next 34 days back, folks…this is all we’ve got to do everything we can think of to make sure Democrats get the beating of the party’s life.  We need to clean their clock, but good.

This is your watch.

You’re on duty, like it or not.

Awesomeness is required in spades.

Make us proud today, skinny little dude in the good guy pajamas, and win it for AMERICA.

You’re the best, around, nothing’s gonna ever keep you down!

Anyone got a take on the Whitman-Brown debate? Didn’t see it.

    • shayK says:
      2010/09/29 at 1:47 am

My mother and father (both were in their early 30′s during Brown’s horrific term) watched the first 15 mins and said Brown was blathering and neither were too impressed with Whitman either. Whitman is no Sarah Palin whereas Brown is The Original Obama so I’m reluctantly voting for the lesser of the two evils.

      • Aussie says:
        2010/09/29 at 2:55 am

who in their right minds would vote for the has-been Brown?

California has already experienced his excesses and the damage that he can do to the economy.

Most of the people of voting age in California were not here, or not yet born when Brown was first governor. Our illegal population is huge, and yes…it votes! California is owned and and run 100% by the unions.

I watched a bit. I was struck that for as long Brown and Boxer have “served”, they seemed less prepared and figity during the debates. Both kept shuffling notes (I guess) on the podium. That aloe was quite distracting.

Visual poise — Whitman and Fiorina hands down.

That is amazing. And how great to have a photo where Sarah’s joy is so apparent, along with her strength.

I absolutely loved seeing the joy in her face when she was video’d in her home regarding Bristol’s DWTS stuff the other night.

Again I’m reminded of the truth of Rush’s statement that the left is always telling us who they fear. Their fear of an individual is revealed by the level and frequency of their attacks on that person (or group). Sarah’s straightforward thinking, common sense and genuine joy absolutely freak them out.

      Very nice blurb from WaPo:

Next stunner was Bristol Palin. The trip to her Alaska home, where Palin introduced her partner, Mark Ballas, to her mother, was utterly beside the point–the real story is that Palin’s dancing continues to fascinate. She is unmanaged and completely charming. Let’s hope she stays that way. Ballas deserves a pot of gold for the yeoman’s work he’s doing — he is perfect for her. Their quickstep was dancing the way it’s supposed to be — you were caught up in it, in the steps, the sweep, the changing dynamics, the human moment — not a bit of blinding razzle-dazzle. The way he swept her around the stage like trailing silk — ladies, don’t we all dream of that?

“You may have read that there is strong evidence of voter fraud in Houston. Here’s what you may not have heard: the organization accused of shady behavior is linked to a former head of an Obama campaign office. She is a fan of Che Guevara. She is also the person who invited to a town hall meeting a woman who then posed as a doctor at that meeting during the health care debate.”

how strange. I remember reading about that woman at the time that she pretended to be a doctor. I remember seeing the picture of her in her office with all of the Che Guevera gear.

    • Jane in Chicago says:

It gets worse as I have posted below.

That same county, one day after the voter fraud was exposed suffered a fire that destroyed virtually all of it voting machines.

Holy comoly. Not only does someone know how to take instruction – - – and produce, they are brilliant at photo shop. BRAVO.

I just realized, I campaign all day and night. The oil delivery man came, and when I moaned about how much the bill was, he said everything’s outa sight these days. That was my opening: We gotta vote. We gotta change the direction of this country. Turns out, he was a FreeMason, they’re all on board, and I emphasized that means every incumbent out, good or bad, term limits would solve half our problems, and how he needed to get everyone to understand they need to reach out to their mother, brother, kids, in-laws, everyone has got to be pressed to get to the polls and get the incumbents out. It’s critical.

Last night I knocked on the door of some very affluent businessmen, (gay by the way), to solicit them to do a fundraiser for a candidate – done.

On the Palin front, I declared a few weeks ago I was going to speak up about Palin, and not hide my feelings anymore (which feelings, by the way, were enormously influenced by the boyz). I asked a friend that was cooking me dinner, what she thought of Palin for President. [Now mind you she's on the same page on all other issues, but people aren't so ready to think Palin for Pres] She said she would never vote for Palin for Pres. despite thinking she’s done a lot. She said, she’s not smart enough. I bantered, again with insights from the boyz, and said “What if it’s between her and Romney?” She said THEN she would vote Sarah. We gotta talk about it to get people to think about it.

Driving home I called an activist to come over for a glass of wine. I wanted him to lend assistance to a conservative Hispanic I felt needed help and guidence running for state rep. Now this is funny buzzers, and he needs funds, if anyone can spare. He just started this community TV show, link below, and has had lots of the candidates on it, including the candidates for governor(but that’s the only thing he is doing while he has no money or campaign
    people = (
but watch the first 3 minutes of his video!
    YOUTUBE at http://www.youtube.com/my_videos

he also wrote a bill of address to a senator to remove a corrupt judge. Too funny. (On a separate note, it’s the same judge who BANNED a book written by a different friend called: Exposing the Corruption in Mass. Courts. The judge was, after all, written about disfavorably in the book – SHE banned.

Also sold two posters today to expose Obamacare, in addition to spreading good dirt on bad incubents.

I can see November from my house = )

Way to go, Integrity1st! You’re doing an incredible job!!

The friend cooking you dinner is rather typical, unfortunately, in thinking Sarah isn’t smart enough. (That particular LSM lie really caught on, thanks to SNL. Jerks!)

But, you can counter it, IF you have some facts at your fingertips.
Sarah accomplished virtual miracles during her abbreviated term as gov of Alaska. Here is just one article I pulled from my collection. (Don’t have time to dig deeper just now. Sorry.)

I want to thank all the Buzzers from FL who kept reminding people about the fake Tea party scam the D’s are trying to run in FL.
The Studmuffin got his absentee ballot and had marked it for some of the “Tea Party” candidates. I reminded him he should double check, read the websites, etc that these are “real” Tea Party people before he mailed his ballot off.
Was he ever steamed when he found out that they weren’t part of the FL Tea party … so called up and told them he has spoiled his ballot, so they sent him a new one … which he filled out after checking out all the candidates.

    AWESOME Guyz & DB!

Was on the phone with a radio station manager I do business with from time to time. He asked about the oil spill. I let him have an earfull that the greatest tragedy was the federal government’s sitting on its hands with the suspicious Rahmbo / crisis manipulation & Crap & Tax timing. I think he was left a bit speechless when I told him, in such a certain and knowing voice, that “its all over for them. We’re fed up and they’re all going to the house, every one of them”.

The photoshop of the Gov. Palin as Lady Liberty….AWESOME!!! She IS leading the charge, whether the Cocktail Party and Obots like it or not!!!

Now what is on my mind…well it chilled me (and it wasn’t Club Gitmo’s ice cream rationing OR Joe ‘Big F’ing Deal’ Biden frozen dairy Jones…) no. Its Drudge’s headline FROM LAST NIGHT:

    http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/us-credible-specific-threat-terrorist-attack/story?id=11747364

High Terror Alert!!! But, we don’t know the plan; where the plan is going to unfold; what the plan entails; how we should prepare (OTHER THAN BE AFRAID!!!).

The only ‘unknown’ (if we are at HIGH RISK) should be what our brave covert ops are doing to make this ‘go away.’

Sadly, with this Administration when I read the headline late yesterday, I didn’t think ‘oh no…Al Queda is at it again!’ No I thought, ‘is this the October surprise from the Dems? Is this why Nancy Pelosi is convinced she will retain the speakership (in five weeks she proclaimed she will still be in charge of the House). Could ‘this something’ be the catalyst to do what alot of us have feared??? Suspend elections???

My spidey senses are all jumpy over this one…

Found this, rather odd, Thomas Jefferson quote on brainyquote.com:

A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.

Houston Texas – almost 24,000 illegal registrations. Where have we seen this before. How about Texas in 2008. They cheated and frauded their way to win that primary although Hillary got more votes. They didn’t go away. They are just working in county election board basements now, making sure that they can have 24,000 “absentee ballots” should they need them for 2010 and/or 2012. They got caught. Serious jail time would surely curtail this but no one takes it seriously. It makes me crazy. It takes away all of our most important civil right VOTING!! And having that vote count purely.

Obama’s trying to work the Christian/Muslim angle, with a clearly *very* prepared answer to a question on religion:

    http://hotair.com/archives/2010/09/28/voter-asks-obama-why-are-you-a-christian/

Now, this could mean that he’s hurting on the religion question, and wants to reassure people – particularly black Christians.

But I think he’s also either being very sneaky, or showing a blatant disregard for the genuine issues that make people want him out. He’s keeping the issue alive, so that his leftist base can just tell themselves that “they hate the Messiah because they hate Muslims!” – no need for thinking. AND/OR, he genuinely believes that any criticism of him stems from racism and Islamaphobia, and that that’s what people want to hear in order to vote Dem again.

Grayson reminds me of that sleazy kid in homeroom that no one wanted to sit near because he smelled bad – and also had no social skills…thinking that slobbering over a cute girl was the way to popularity and then calling her a whore when she wouldn’t pay attention to him. And then going into gym class telling the guys that she gave it up for him…not really getting that they were laughing at him – not with him. Oh – and his hair was always dirty and greasy – and he never brushed his teeth.

Yes I am…I was also happy to hear Beck talk about him last night and then I heard Daniel Webster on Fox today. And I will ad, this current poll was done before all this new nonsense of the Taliban Dan ad…I venture to guess it will be worse in the next poll.

Did you guys see that Grayson also put out a positive ad? It shows him playing with kids and they use this chalkboard and then this cute little song in the background…the thing is, it is a total rip off of an Eliot Spitzer ad from 2006…I mean, almost exactly the same only much worse video quality.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think Grayson didn’t want to win. He is going down and hopefully in FLAMES!

I am happy about this…I just made a large post so I won’t go into all that again in case it does end up showing up, but yes…I’m happy. And this poll was taken before all the stuff about the false ad against Dan Webster came out. Can’t wait to see the poll results next week. Dan Webster could not have afforded all this publicity so I am ever so grateful that Alan Grayson is such a nimrod.

Yesterday a black conservative in Harlem called into the Limbaugh show enraged about how the Cocktail Party treats Sarah Palin. (C4P has the clip up.) I swear I met this guy last week while I was in New York — if not him, then someone just like him.

I was in town on business and had a private car for the morning. The driver (a person of color with an accent I couldn’t quite place) was listening to talk radio. I really wasn’t paying attention to content until I heard Rush’s intro music just after noon. He immediately went to turn the volume down and I asked him to leave it and of course that led to a political discussion. He is a staunch conservative, but his 24 year old son voted for Obama. For the past year, his son has also been listening to Rush and has done a political 180. The left truly has no idea what is coming in November.

And I think they unloaded much too soon. If this is all they have, and they didn’t know Whitman had all the documentation and that it was the illegal’s fraud that caused the issue, then they don’t have a good staff. This quote come up in my Facebook newsfeed, and I’m sort of surprised by it.

The Government of the United States is in no sense founded on the Christian religion.-John Adams

A quick Google search found articles and forum posts at places like Organizing for America and HuffPo. Can someone give me some more information? With my three little ones at home, I don’t get to be as plugged in as I would like, but I know Glenn Beck has been talking about how we were founded as a Christian nation. Thanks for any info. you can send my was, Buzzers!

      I found this:

      http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/treaty_tripoli.html

“Authored by American diplomat Joel Barlow in 1796, the following treaty was sent to the floor of the Senate, June 7, 1797, where it was read aloud in its entirety and unanimously approved. John Adams, having seen the treaty, signed it and proudly proclaimed it to the Nation.”

If this is correct, John Adams is not the author.

    • Library Countess says:

One more: John Adams became a Unitarian later in life.

      http://www.adherents.com/people/pa/John_Adams.html

John Adams, the second U.S. President rejected the Trinity… and became a Unitarian. It was during Adams’ presidency that the Senate ratified the Treaty of Peace and Friendship with Tripoli. Article XI has the language of the quote.

    • Emma says:
      2010/09/29 at 8:46 am

Just an amateur thought here: this nation was not founded as a theocracy, but the people who founded it either were Christian in their own perspective or wanted to work from a foundation of Judeo-Christian principles.

As a Christian, I would never care to argue that we “are a Christian nation.” Even if we “were”, that boat sailed a long time ago. I would not want to live in a theocracy, not even a “Christian one.” Christians already are in a theocracy called the kingdom of God, with God as their King. The visible kingdom of God on earth is something in the future. We don’t have to argue for it now.

Our GOVERNMENT was not intended to be “Christian government.” That is, by the way, what Islam does. Islam is intended to be both dominant government and domineering religion. I believe that’s one of the biggest mistakes people make about Islam: they want to pretend it’s just “another religion.” Not by a long shot.

Cherry-picked quotes like this are sometimes used to get Christians defensive and hysterical in an unattractive way.

John Adams may have said that. Even if he did, it’s fine. The government of the United States was not founded in ways that repressed or excluded Christianity either. Sometimes I think that those who misuse quotes like this want to do exactly that.

      • Wraith says:

Newt Gingrich has a wonderful website and documentaries on how the country was founded on Christianity. Our entire history is based on freedom of religion. Our ancestors left Britain FOR freedom of religion. It’s absurd that the liberals try to paint a different picture. Newt.org has his “Rediscovering God in America” videos and shows you some clips.

    • Deb says:

This quote comes from the Treaty of Tripoli, which was ratified when John Adams was President so it is not a direct quote from him. When I read the quote, I thought that my very liberal facebook friend was trying to say that we are not a country based on Christian morals, which I 100% disagree with. We are not a theocracy, and I wouldn’t want to live in one, either, but did our Founding Fathers believe that citizens needed some moral absolutes to make our republic work? I disagree with him on teacher tenure. Why should any profession that relies on public $$ grant it for any reason?

Studying Chris Christie for a few years now, I think this is the first shot across the bow. He proposes that tenure be based NOT on seniority, but on merit – classroom excellence. He is asking the legislators to go along with him on this and it’s controlled by D’s. Parents will vote against the D’s if they DON’T go along with this. It’s fair. It’s common sense. What parent wants their child teaching reading comprehension if they test poorly on it. What parent wants their child taught math by a person whose math skills are poor? He’s taking on powerful people and lots of them. I think he’s going to win this one and won’t it be great for the kids?

Obama was campaigning this week saying I will fight for you, I will work for you, on and on. What a fraud this guy is. Maybe people believed it two years ago, but when will he start doing that? After November? In January? How about January 2009 when he took office. And if people believe him, shame on them. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

On another front, the developer for the GZ mosque was on the Today show. He pretends not to have know the mosque there would cause a controversy. He is American born, lives in Brooklyn, and considers himself an American. He said this controversy is an “eye opener” to how people view his religion. Like he never knew! He could show what his religion is really about, like tolerance, and love and caring for the community if he reached out to 9/11 families and moved the mosque! The lie is that if they move it, they will allow the radicals to control the dialogue. But if they don’t move it, the radicals are dictating (supposedly) where the mosque should be. I don’t believe him for one minute. Donald Trump met with him and he said it was ALL ABOUT MONEY to the developer. Trump can size people up in one second. It wasn’t about anything else for this guy at all.

I’m not sure if he had a contested primary–he’s not my district, but he won at any rate. The race is between Bahney and Sean Bielat, an ex-Marine from Brookline, MA, who’s been all over local and national media and said campaign donations are coming in like gangbusters.

Barney just had Bubba come stump for him, which attracted attention to the race because some suspect that could mean he’s worried. Bielat went from unknown to 9-10 points down just since the Sep. 14 primary. I think they are clearly worried it will be another out-of-the-blue campaign like Scott Brown overtaking Coakley when she didn’t even see him coming.

I don’t know how realistic the chances are, but Barney Frank(along with Dodd) is almost single-handedly responsible for pushing banks to make all these bad loans that resulted in the housing bubble which caused so much damage when it burst. Fannie & Freddie are on him. All these foreclosures and the financial mess we are in–ugghhh. I know there are other pieces to the recession puzzle, but his contribution was significant, and I would LOVE to see him held responsible in the voting booth.

We are watching Grayson carefully–my inlaws live in the district and are very active in both the Democrat and Republican parties, so we’ve got our own family feud going…

Oh, and not that our Mass Attorney General’s race would normally garner a lot of attention, but the country learned the name Martha Coakley in the Hottie McAwesome race, so for anyone that’s curious, this could prove interesting–a movie coming out weeks before the now-contested election that will be highly critical of her role in a wrongful murder conviction:

Today is the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel!

(they changed to calendar some time ago, made today the day for all the archangels, but I’m old school where Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel are concerned. They all get their own day as far as I’m concerned).

For the prayin’ folk, here’s a prayer we Catholics are fond of:

    St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
    Amen.

I think this goes with the graphic above quite nicely.

On a side note, as someone who’s studied angelology for a good number of years, you might be interested to know that Michael was voted “Hottest Angel in Heaven” 3 Millenia in a row. . .(due to his esoteric associations with Elemental Fire. . .) ~_^

Thank you for this prayer. Today is my feast day! :)

The priest mentioned Psalm 138 as the psalm of the day as it mentions the primary functions of all 2 archangels.

And as long as I remember I’ve always known this day as MGR day. Of course the holidays were called Michaelmas holidays but the day it self was always called MGR day. But then I am not all that old, so may be I don’t really know.

By “old school”, I mean like . . . Pre-Vatican I (I think) . . . I know the decision was made way before V2. Used to be that Michael was today, Raphael in October and Gabriel in March. Then they put ‘em all together, for some reason, and made this the day for all of them. But since Angels are totally my gig, I give them their own day.

For St. Michael’s Feast (and yours! hah!) I recommend a good, red beer, buffolo chicken wings, steak, a veggie high in iron, and a dessert featuring blackberries. If you’re not fond of beer, red wine will do. Suggested scents for the occaision are sandalwood, frankinsence, and anything spicy. Nag Champa is nice. Movies stressing heroism, courage, honor, and general butt-kicking are also appropriate. Grand, uplifting or Butt-kicking music like Holst’s Mars or certain themes by John Williams are good for the day as well :P

Yes, very much a dork. But me and His Hotness go way back, so this day is very special for me as well. Beers all around!

‘Turning the other cheek’ does work with most of these types, given time. Eventually, they realize that they’re being dicks, and this causes introspection leading to, if not a change of viewpoint, a change of attitude.

What a difference the selection of campaign music make! Arnold chose Twisted Sister and won. McCain used stupid country music and LOST.
Millions of minorities were turned off by that “white” country music the idiotic McCain campaign used in 2008.

It would probably be a smart campaign tactic to use different music depending on the target audience. I’m not a big fan of Twisted Sister, and heavy metal can turn a lot of folks off, but “We’re Not Gonna Take It” is sounding pretty good right now!

McCain/Palin was on a roll with “Country First,” running against big government, corruption, and earmarks.

Then McCain shot himself in the foot when he decided to stop campaigning and go back to Washington and help put together the bailout, basically doing everything his campaign had been against.

At that point no music would have saved him. He might as well have switched to “Goodbye my friend.”

A friendly note for Kevin and the guyz concerning the contributions on C4P:

C4P(Conservatives 4 Palin) is a bunch of former Romney “conservatives”. Yes, the same folks that in 2008 thought Romney was the only conservative running in the GOP primaries(hello Laura Ingraham??? LOL).

Kevin, I have read some of the response posts to your contribution in that blog. If you see some of them criticize your love for Hillary Clinton. You are giving them an advice and they think you are not good enough or worthy enough to give them “conservatives” advice.

I tell you guyz and girlz, most on C4P blog are conservatives in name only. They support Christine O’Donnell, a woman that had some experience with witchcraft during her teenage years, but slammed me when I posted that Sarah’s rise to political power looks like being predicted in prophecy.

Hell, who have not played with Ouija board? It is bad to check prophecies?

They called me names. C4P is controlled by elitists who think they are more intellectuals and versed in politics and “polls” than anybody else. They hide behind crazy names like “techno” and “conservative mamma” and pretend to be Palin supporters but would jump to Romney , Gulliani or Gingrich at any given opportunity.

Because I’m “passionate” for Sarah Palin’s prospects to be our 45th president in 2013 I was called names and asked not to post anymore there.

They don’t want passion, they want “polls” and reach out to Romney Republicans because of the Reagan “11TH commandment”. If you say you are “Palin or nothing” kind of person they tell you to leave.

I still read C4P but I’m convinced they are just moderate Republicans and Conservatives in name

    • NM Gal says:

Me either. They are harder on Mittens than any other group I’ve seen.

They do seem to be a pretty insular group, however. They have a healthy suspicion of newcomers and I think that is what is being reflected in some of the comments to some of KD’s posts.

        • Carmelo Junior says:
          2010/09/29 at 2:46 pm

Maybe so, but the way they talk about this flip flopper Romney and calling him with the soft cute name of “Mittens” is a sign that they have this man in “reserve” status just in case.

I mean, C4P is a group that does not accepts anything that goes beyond their “conservative” beliefs.

If I say I have my concerns about Obama’s qualifications to be president(citizenship issue) they call me names.

If I call Obama a “Kenyan” they call me names.

If I call Romney a closet abortionist and the worse thing in the GOP they call me names.

They like folks that are well “versed”
and who like to reach out and love to be friend with everybody.

Reagan’s 11th commandments does not says you can’t attack fellow Republican’s weak stances.

We use Mittens to make fun of Romney.

        It emasculates and infantilizes him.

No way a man is going to win the nomination if his name is Mittens (or Willard for that matter) when the current president is also fey and wimpy.

Mittens is a term of derision not endearment.

What’s funny is this is the EXACT thing that K. tried to prevent when he wrote his first post at C4P and said “this is not about Hillary Clinton, this is about the lessons you can learn from the mistakes that she made”.

        K. knew that the hatred for HRC is so strong in some of these people that they just can’t get by that and won’t listen to what can be learned from HRC’s loss to prevent the same thing from happening to the Governor.

There’s a very bad attitude in people who fold their arms, but a big frown on their faces, and say “We don’t need to learn anything from her mistakes. We know better. Shut up. We hate her and you”.

        Okay. That’s very foolish.

It’s like if you are going on a trip down a dangerous river. Someone is walking towards you holding a boat with a big hole in it and all sorts of claw marks and gashes all over the place. Since they were just where you are headed, you should ask them “What the Hell happened to you and how can I avoid this happening to me”.

The trolls on that board want to just get into the water without trying to figure out ahead of time what they will face.

        It’s really, really strange.

I used to read comments on unmonitored sites that seemed by their articles to be conservative. Then I stopped, because most comments on those sites are ignorant, disgusting and depressing – perhaps deliberately so, to drive the wedge. My take is that the people operating those sites are legitimately conservative, if naïve or misguided; and I certainly enjoy their talented writers; however, the majority of the unmonitored commenters are crapulous liberal/Marxist/Islamophiliac pond scum. The consequence is a complete disconnect between management and barking moonbats. Why that is permitted makes no sense to me.
I think maybe that Carmelo Junior had gotten caught up in that dissonance, and was treated badly when he argued against it.

I come here today with a heavy heart. Does anyone here agree with what is about to happen on Oct 2nd in DC, or support the organizations that are participtaing in this rally? I know I do not. Please help me to understand what ‘progressives’ stand for if it is not for this.

I watched Glenn Beck’s last show and as hard as I have worked to stop the fundamental transformation of our once great nation into something that does not resemble a republic, I can not believe what is about to happen this weekend. I checked it out for myself and what Beck says is true. Absolutely. True. The 10/20/2010 gathering is being put on by a coalition that includes groups hell bent on taking down our country and replacing capitalism with socialism/social justice/marxism/communism. Beck put on a black board the groups that are particiipating. Along with the usual suspects of big unions and like minded groups are Marxist and Communist organizations. Beck said he would post the info on several of the websites as requested. One of the participatant groups is the YCL which is the Young Communist League. I went to their website. Here is what is posted for public consumption:

When Glenn Beck turned out an estimated 87,000 (white) people to his “I have a nightmare” hate-a-palooza on the anniversary of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King’s historic “I have a dream” speech he should have known that the masses would not allow it to go unanswered. That same day the One Nation Working Together rally was announced.
One Nation Working Together is a coalition of hundreds of progressive organizations including labor unions and peace and justice organizations from around the country most notably including the AFL-CIO and the NAACP who have put millions of dollars into providing transportation and assistance to get the word out.
The One Nation website states it’s goals for the event “We march for a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. We march for jobs, justice, and education. We march for an economy that works for all. We march for a nation in which each person who wants to work can find a job that pays enough to support a family.

We march to create a million new jobs right away, because the national values that got us out of the Great Depression will get us out of the Great Recession.

We march to build a world-class public education system, from pre-school to community college and beyond – because our nation must start unleashing the greatness of every child today.

We march to end racial profiling and re-segregation– from Arizona to Atlanta. We march to defend the Voting Rights Act and the 14th Amendment. We march to advance human rights, civil rights, equal protection, and dignity for all.

We march to fix the broken immigration system – because no child should live in fear that her parents will be deported.

We march to ensure every worker has a voice at work. We march for green jobs and safe workplaces, so no worker will have to choose between her livelihood and her life.

We march for a clean environment, so no child is ever forced to decide between drinking the water or breathing the air and staying healthy.

We march to move our nation beyond this moment when a handful of Senators can block urgently needed progress – skewing our national budget towards tax cuts for the wealthy, unjustified military spending and prisons.

We march for peace abroad and job creation at home. We march for energy independence, public safety, and public transportation because the nation we want to build most is our own.”
The Young Communist League will also be in full force with comrades traveling from the four corners of our country in solidarity.

I am sending our FL rain up the east coast for the the event. It may look like a communist woodstock (snark).

If you listen to Rush a woman called in saying her sister a teacher said the NEA (taxpayer dollars) is paying for two people to attend.

      • ShortTermer says:
        2010/09/29 at 4:09 pm

Yes, SusFL, I talked with my daughter today. My grandson has a huge number of teachers on all sides of his family going back for generations. My daughter is out of town, but stated that the NEA has provided thousands+ to pay for people to attend.
How could any sane person ever justify aligning with socialists/marxists/communists for a goal; any goal?
Send the rain, the lightning, and the HELL to the rally!!!!!!

        • SusFL says:
          2010/09/29 at 4:38 pm

Seems like the NEA involved in this (tax payer $$) should be something that Glenn Beck would like to have to and connect the dots.

I almost became a teacher (late 70′s) but, did not like it once I did an internship (disrespectful students even then) but, did stay in education so I know how liberal they can be about “social justice” so bad to ruin good minds. There is a new college building (private college) here that has a sign “Dept. of Education and Social Justice” so there you go..

Rain and lighting on it’s way from FL!

Terrific of you to send the rain – LOTS of it from what I am hearing. Communist Woodstock!! Hahahah. I thought the trash left behind would be horrific, but I can imagine what many thousands of feet tramping on that grass will do to it. And then there’s the garbage thing. I think it was BOR who said he was sending undercover reporters down there to film the drug buys!! Hahahah. What a mess. What I think we should all do, as those “school” buses are filmed dropping these people off is to find out who authorized them. They don’t belong to the teachers or the unions. They belong to those who paid for them. Us. So we have every right to be notified when they are being used for any reason other than transporting STUDENTS.

Received an email this morning with pictures of Muslim men praying in the street in NYC. Doubled checked at scopes.com and found that the email erroneously states that this happens every Friday.

But it is true that the gathering does take place in an annual Muslim parade, the recent one on Oct 26.
    See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzIMFRy449A&feature=related
(wish I know how to embed it, prayer scene is at 11:00)

Just a few days ago, the Pakistan ambassador(?) said in his defense of the GZM Imam that we should not fear anything about Sharia law in US because Muslims are only 2 percent of population in our country.

The small portion of this 2% is a powerful sight.

Sorry don’t know how to load up these pix. Chrissy, can you help? Thanks.
Go to link to see full info.
    http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/changingface.asp

    Excerpt of Email:
This is in New York City on Madison Avenue, not in France or the Middle East or Yemen or Kenya.
Is there a message here? Yes, there is, and they are claiming America for Allah.
If we don’t wake up soon, we are going to “politically correct” ourselves right out of our own Country!
A Christian Nation cannot put up a Christmas scene of the baby Jesus in a public place, but the Muslims can stop normal traffic by worshiping in the streets… Something is happening in America that is reminiscent of what is happening in Europe. This is Political Correctness gone crazy…

Probably the worst in our lifetime here.

The only thing good was Lloyd Bentson…which gave us that great debate moment against Quayle. It was so perfectly phrased and memorable. Like the zingers Reagan used to have in his debates.

For those HBers who follow Bill Whittle on PJTV, I wanted to share his latest FB post. He has left PJTV amicably, to pursue other interests. I’m psyched because he’s going to be on Red Eye…he’ll be great. Oh, and he’s a big Sarah Palin fan, and was one of the biggest voices on PJTV in defense of her (he and Zo).

    Anyway, here it is…

“By now many of you may have heard that I have left PJTV under the most amicable and affectionate of terms. I will be devoting full-time to the citizen producers at DeclarationEnterainment.com, who deserve noting less for their hard-earned money.

BUT!!! For those of you who feel you’ll be seeing less of me… … on the contrary. I’m going to continue to do weekly “Afterburner” type content (called “the FireWall”) as well a four other, totally unique kinds of material. There will be a new website, two new books coming, and much more.

From now on, ALL of my content will be hosted on YouTube — no more subscriptions, registration or commercials: just easy to share, embeddable content. I couldn’t be more excited.

Also, on Thursday night I will be on Fox doing Red Eye — my first national TV appearance — and from now on all of my free web editorial content will have a post-segment commercial for declarationentertainment.com.

We’re going to be just fine. I am so excited I am VIBRATING. New Firewall on Tuesday, and much more before then.

It’s going to be great. Thanks for the support. There’s no way ‘d leave the fight, especially now that we are going to whip them out of their boots!”

For what its worth: just got back from Ireland, had interesting conversations with cab drivers. One of them was really complaining about how expensive everthing got after Ireland joined the EU and the currency went to Euros. He also didn’t like the huge influx of foreign nationals (his words). Too many, too fast, changing their culture. He also said the original vote was against joining the EU, but then there was a recount and suddenly the vote changed!! Surprise, surprise!! The left elitists are at it everywhere. They too have had a huge housing bust and have high unemployment.

Another huge source of contention while we were there was the budget for national health care. Big cuts are being proposed and people are up in arms.

The big deal in my company today has been the potential fallout from India’s own GZM dispute. I’d never heard of it before. The Ayodhya Debate. Who even knew it was even going on? No prizes for guessing why it hasn’t been mentioned by the LSM. We have a lot of offshore connections in my company and many of them are going to shut up shop tomorrow afternoon and maybe the day after depending on the outcome of a juducial ruling that has taken 17 years to come to a verdict. Yes, since 1992. If previous experience is anything to go by there will be riots with potential loss of life involved. It is a very sensitive subject. In 1538 a mosque was built on the (alleged) site of a sacred Hindu temple. Sound familiar anyone? Lots of going back and forth over the years in between and even more activity since the late 80′s when the Hindu Nationalist Party called for the site to be restored to it’s original temple. You can imagine the fallout. The results of the judicial enquiry were handed over in June of last year but were not made public. Whichever way it goes could be ugly. India is 80+% Hindu and 13+% Muslim plus sundry other religions, including Christianity next on the list at less than 3% (2001 numbers according to Wikipedia). At over a billion plus religious population, that’s still a lot of people.

I had posted the Asia Times article yesterday with my snark about Mooch and Teh Won’s visit to India. The court was asked to delay the ruling because of the anticipated violence from which ever side doesn’t win, and India doesn’t want to deal with it (a) during the Commonwealth games and (b) during Barky’s November state visit. Whichever way it goes, it won’t be pretty.

I found some info on articles I got from Google just looking for the ‘Ayodhya Debate’. Wikipedia had several write ups related to it. There was also a recent article from the Hindustan Times. Thanks Shilani for correcting me. There were a lot of dates! I was just fascinated by something that had such a big impact on India and I had never heard of it before. There was an article in the UK Telegraph yesterday and an update today. The ruling has stated that the land be divided between the three litigants. I didn’t realize there were three. So far I haven’t seen any reports on bad reactions. Nothing can be done for the next 3 weeks. As Shilani says, there is likely to be an appeal. The Hindu’s were given the land where they put their idol of Ram in the 1940′s and the ruling stated that cannot be removed.

What is weird is I was just thinking about India earlier today when watching that guy on Glenn Beck. We always talk about Israel being our only friend in the mideast, but what about India? Or is that TOO far east and they aren’t really considered the middle east any more?

In any case, that is another country that IMO we don’t work with enough on world relations.

I dunno…just something I was thinking about and then read the post by our new lurker and now this! Interesting.

I do know that they are trying desperately to takeover the medical transcription business which distresses me greatly because I worked my entire life to do this job from home and will be irate if it goes overseas. So far the bad quality has hampered its success. They just don’t do good quality work. Who knows if Obamacare makes the costs go so high they will compromise quality and pay somebody in India 1 cent a line versus my 14 cents and throw quality out the window.

So far it hasn’t worked so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. My company says no…for now.

If capitalism works the way it’s supposed to (without gov’t interference with profits and such), YOU SHOULD be able to get paid for YOUR good quality work without worrying about businesses going overseas.

Capitalism helps the workers too…think about it…the better you are at your job, the more companies will be fighting to get you to work for them…including offering better benefits and salary.

This is how it would work if the gov’t didn’t impose all kinds of taxes and regulation about who they can hire, how much they pay in taxes and all the bureaucratic nonsense we have to jump through.

I work from home three days a week, so I know how important it is to keep a job a like that!

My husband has seen the same problem with software. The problem is that a lot of companies don’t think ahead far enough. They’re only concentrating on how much they can save today. But I still believe that capitalism can work. The poorly run companies will eventually go under, leaving the companies that are run properly.

Bev, I didn’t know about India trying to take over the medical transcription field. Though I am not entirely surprised.

And I am not surprised about the bad quality of work either. I was a software professional and sometimes the products which are produced are cringe worthy. Then a select few of us will sit to work on the quality because the clients have every single reason to be displeased with us. I remember there was another team in my ODC which came up with a poor quality product and the entire project was scrapped. It did cost our company a lot financially and in terms of pride and heads were rolling. That’s the beauty of capitalism really. It leads to competition which always results in better quality.

Sometimes our companies just put some random name to get billed irrespective of person’s skills. I feel so strongly about this despite being an Indian because I was a victim of this shoddy behaviour. I belonged to that group of people who really was qualified for that job and because someone they billed weren’t up to the mark and came up with below par quality products, we guys were made to work to fix the problem. I am not kidding. I worked 17 to 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. For months without an end with no break, no family time and basically no life at all. Oh the travel time to work would take up 2 hours, so that meant 4 hours of sleep. I couldn’t even the choose the food I wanted to eat.

This is a huge problem for us. Suicide rates among s/w professionals are on the high and the divorce rates increased as well.

The average Indian just wants to work hard and just basically save for their family. But the truth does hurt sometimes. There are 2 sides to the situation, really.

Oh, I was about to mention this here t’day. The verdict will be out in a couple of hours and the whole nation is waiting with bated breath. Whichever way the verdict goes, there’s no win situation here. Of course, they will appeal against the ruling in the Supreme court which might take longer. But I honestly don’t think the court’s ruling would please anyone.

Trad, though most of what you said is right, the case has been going on from 1949 actually. The mosque was demolished by Hindu karsevaks in 1992. That’s when the issue came to limelight. Riots resulted and thousands of people have been killed on both sides. I was a small child when it happened and I remember watching it on TV. It was so scary. The dispute isn’t as simple as whether a mosque should be there or not. Hindu’s claim there was a temple there before Babar destroyed it in 1538. It’s pretty sacred for Hindus because it’s the birth place of Ram, one of Vishnu’s incarnations. In 1949, a few Hindu idols were found in the mosque. The topic of debate is whether there really was a temple before the mosque and whether the idols have been there for centuries or whether they had been placed there in 1949. Also note at the time of the demolition of the mosque, it was defunct.

I really don’t know whether riots are going to break out but the country’s on high alert. I don’t think the government is as worried about Obama’s visit as it is about the CWG. We have a lot foreign athletes here now in India.

I am hoping and praying this doesn’t break out like it did in 1992. One thing is that, Hindus in other Muslim countries will also be targeted over this. Guys please for us!!

Did anyone else catch Frank Luntz talking about the “Princess Lisa” ad on FoxNews today? Wow. He basically said it was one of, if not the best negative ad he’d ever seen. And it’s basically more for radio than video.

I haven’t found a clip of him on FNC but here’s a link to the ad itself on YouTube:

Ain’t it though? I actually only had FNC on in the background when Luntz came on this morning talking about it and The Voice was what caught my attention, which is exactly what he says sells the ad. He said people were leaving the focus group, laughing and mimicking it with “Mine, it’s mine.”

Now, that’s advertising pay dirt. ;-)

The patronizing tone of the woman voiceover is perfect.

Speaking of conspiracy theories, with the amount of crazy things that Grayson’s campaign has put out and how badly it’s affected his poll numbers, I sort of wonder if his campaign staff is really working undercover for the Republican party. I mean if you were going to go into a Democrat campaign and suggest they do all these crazy ads and make all these outlandish claims about your opponent, what kind of Democratic candidate do you think would go right along with you on that? Grayson is pretty much the only one I can think of that would think that was a good idea.

I would LOVE it if we found out after the election that he hired folks that were truly working against him. Talk about karma!

      hxbuff and palinpatriot,
Thank you for the gravatar suggestions. I think I’ll go with the Indian flag for now. Though I do understand that the Taj Mahal is easily recognizable, but the fact it is a mausoleum is kind of a turn off for me. But I really appreciate the suggestions.:)

In 2008 Palin went to my nominal (5 to 18) home town. Omaha.
