A lot of people are talking about the stupidity in NASA bombing the moon this week “to look for water”. This reminds us of the scene in a recent craptactular version of The Time Machine where idiots tried to dig “lunar colonies” on the Moon and ended up screwing up the orbit, causing the moon to break up and violently change life on Earth. Like this:
With China and India now sending missions into space, and screwing around on the moon themselves, we all should have pause. India, especially, has a great deal of ambition but very little sense in all that it does. If liberals in this country think our government is so bad for the environment and our industries are destroying the planet, they should travel to India. Most of that country is an open sewer. Animals are killed for fun gleefully. There is zero respect for nature or human life if it gets in the way of what the privileged class wants. If anyone is stupid enough to dig lunar colonies and cause the moon to fall out of orbit, it’s India. NASA bombing the moon just gives those fools ideas they should never have.

Here’s another cautionary tale about the lottery — a man who won the (at the time) largest jackpot in history blew through all the money and is now living in a trailer on his small social security check. All the money went to fancy homes and lavish vacations, or gambled away on horse races.
Back in Cleveland, where one of us grew up, the lottery was the be-all and end-all of dreams and life ambitions. ”Someday I’ll win the lottery” was a life strategy…in the way that “hope” is a military and policy strategy for the current president. No one bothered to think of an idea to make themselves money or try anything entrepreneurial. No one attempted to better themselves through hard work (or Heaven forbid, exercise). Nope. ”I’ll just win the lottery someday”. Idiots blow through FORTUNES betting on sports teams, horses, raffle tickets, lotteries, etc. All because they see some schmuck who wins a big jackpot…but they never pay attention to what happens to these “winners” later.
Sometimes being handed a big pile of money you didn’t earn and don’t know what to do with is a very bad thing. See also: the Trillion Dollars in stimulus spending the current White House forced through Congress in February.

OhioDee – I was thinking the same thing when I saw this article. Utopia’s appointees have to know that at any time, they can be the scape-goat. Who will take the fall for the stimulus? Who will take the blame for the upending of Cap ‘n’ Screw? He’s got plenty of czars. I wonder if it’s written in their contract that they would meet pavement one day because of Utopia Express??

Wait – Ayers just happened to live in U’s neighborhood and now they’re trying to say that he went to Ayers for help with his book. Surely not. Next thing they ‘ll be saying is that rainbows don’t end at U’s feet. =)

Good for her. But we are left to wonder. Despite her parting shot, Anne was convinced Ayers was in earnest. He was making a public statement. He wanted this news out there.
Was he, as she had asked, pulling our collective legs? Other sources report rumors that Ayers is very upset both about not getting any credit for helping Obama on ‘Dreams,’ and may also be put off by being summarily thrown under the bus along with Rev. Wright and everyone else who becomes an inconvenience to this President….”
If true Ayers , seems like he might be getting miffed that he was used then dumped but the great One. Could you imagine the tales he could tell if he chose? Probably even has pictures of his lovely wife Dorhn and the Obama girls from one of the times they babysat them.

sharon – good find! What I find to be so consistent in all of this is that Utopia has gotten help all through his career. How is it possible for someone to have gotten into law school, Harvard noless, that he’s “blocked” in his writing? No one and I mean no one who could get into an ivy league school can get by without the ability to complete a writing task. Perhaps it’s also fair game to speculate whether this man could write at all. As an aside, I guess it could be hard to finish writing, particularly if you don’t know how to make your biography sound convincing when it’s full of lies! You never know when someone from the background might come out to challenge you.
Bill, I’ve read a few times that a Saudi Arabian Prince paid Obama’s Harvard education expenses.
Or did Obama just qualify for a Saudi overseas study tuition plan as a citizen?

Butters – I’ve actually read about Utopia’s “educational assistance.” All the more reasons to keep his records cloaked. Those secrets are probably the most guarded of all.
In todays Washington Times was an interesting article that starts out as follows: Delivering on President Obama’s promise to boost the labor movement, the administration has announced a $35 million federal construction project in New Hampshire that requires union representation for the workers and forces nonunion employees to pay dues and contribute to a union pension fund.
I decided to see what I could find out about Union Violence, which has been prevalent over the years, and soon to be coming back in full force with this administration. I came across something from the Cato Institute re: something called the the SC v Enmons. It seems that as long as their intentions were “good” union could get away with even murder. This link takes you to this Cato report, which is VERY LONG, but when you get a chance, it will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. A lot of it deals with early History of Union violence, but when you get to the murder of Eddie York by Jerry Lowe, it will make you sick at the “punishment” the government gave him. We are in for really scary times.

I think I might drag it up (!) and be Hillary Clinton for Halloween. Anyway, I went to one of those temp Halloween stores (Clark/Wrightwood) to browse around. They had rubber pol masks (Obama, Hill, McCain, Palin) and I swear to god the Palin mask was like a heinous conspiracy. It was so grotesque, and the spaces between her teeth was filled with red, creating a revolting image. By contrast, the Obama mask had no “fill color” between the toothy grin.
Just something random. I need a lavender pantsuit, though, if I’m going to be a true Hillary drag queen. Ragstock, here I come!

First it’s the “we were never on the moon, it was a scam” and now it’s “we have an occupied base on the moon”. I find it rather amusing. I guess they had secret lift-offs at NASA to send up the supplies & folks for such an occupation. Maybe their secret base for lifting off is in some other part of the world, say Iran, and we have a secret partnership with them guaranteeing & supplying them with nuclear missiles in exchange for keeping quiet about our lunar program. Oh yeah, I could run with this story!

Crawford and McChesney apparently have the full support of the Obama administration and an FCC that is determined to move toward transforming the Internet into a Washington-controlled utility as quickly as possible. The chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Julius Genachowski, recently announced his pursuit of precisely the regulations they want.
Proponents of net neutrality rely on the scare tactic that big bad cable and phone companies will block access to Web sites and cause other mischief unless the benevolent federal government rides to the rescue, and soon. But they’ve been ringing this alarm for the better part of a decade and none of the horrors they warn us about have happened. There is a simple reason—these companies are in an intense competition, especially in the wireless space, which is as cutthroat as any industry in America. If one company tried to block access to Web sites or engage in other mischief, they would lose their customers in droves to the competition.
Net neutrality regulations would destroy private investment and we would end up with a government-owned and controlled network. We’ll have nowhere to go if the government turns out to be not quite as benevolent as some have hoped. That’s a frightening scenario and we should do everything we can to stop the net neutrality regulation that would start us down that path.

I hear that Levi Johnson (Bristol Palin’s ex-boyfriend) is going to be posing nude for Playgirl. Apparently he thinks that he can attract women that way. That is funny considering that most Playgirl subscribers are gay men. Who knows, maybe he is bisexual. Still it looks like a payoff from the media establishment for selling out the Palin family.
I’m going to feel really silly if this is snark, but here goes:
The LCROSS impact will amount to less than dropping a smallish bacterium onto the Astrodome (and the post-Katrina one, at that). No worries about the fate of the Moon.
The discovery of water, on the other hand, would offer up the possibility of long-term habitation beyond Earth (useful stuff for drinking, and for cracking into breathable air and rocket fuel). This, in turn, could provide an opportunity, a vision,and a goal for intrepid humans, living by their wits and wills, innovating and risking, and in every way offering a real alternative to the solipsistic Utopian collective teat-suck of a society which the O-bots envision for the human species.
The Moon is a dead rock, with no atmosphere, no ecology and no inhabitants to displace. It’s an empty brazier for the sputtering sparks of all that is best in humanity. I only hope we have enough left of what it takes to strike a flame.
