VIDEO: Tax in a Box Parody: All the Left Has to Work With at the End of the Election

Posted on November 4, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Breaking News, Featured Content

This is both sad and weird at the same time.

It’s sweird.

That’s a perfectly cromulent word now.

In the last few days of the election, the Left has now decided to call Mitt Romney “a flip-flopper”.  It’s a little late to start that meme, because Barack Obama decided to spend all summer attacking Romney as an evil corporate rich-man-villain…but that bombed.  With two days left, the Left now wants to scream ‘He’s a flip-flopper!”.

It’s all they’ve got.

It’s pathetic and desperate.

Pathesperate, even.

The lefties I monitor are SO VERY QUIET on Facebook.  They’re sharing this video and still talking about their favorite Halloween costumes.  A few of them are saying that “Nate Silver promised Obama has an 80% chance of winning” and some of them are sharing electoral maps that have Virginia, Colorado, North Carolina, and Ohio in Obama’s column.

In reality all of those states will be voting to elect Mitt Romney…and so will Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, and possibly even Michigan and Minnesota too.

It’s going to take the patience of several saints to not succumb to the temptation to mock all of these lefties come Tuesday.

What are you seeing the Left do in these last few days that make them seem sweird or pathesperate to you?

For of those of you that may follow football lore. . .the “Redskin’s Rule.” Started in 1940 when the Redskins moved to DC.

The statistal anomaly offers that if the Redskins win their pre-election game, the incumbent wins. If not, the non-incumbent wins. I think the only time this Rule did not work — Bush defeated Kerry.

The game just concluded. . .The North Carolina Panthers just defeated the Redskins– 21 to 13!!!

    Go Romney/Ryan!!!!!!!

I was just about to drop a link regarding this subject.

Only once has this “prediction” been wrong. With the Redskins losing it looks like a Romney/Ryan win if this rule is correct.

“Pathesperate” hahahahahaha, you are worth your weight in platinum Kevin!
Yes…the poor Lefty artists on my FB newsfeed are posting pics of fall foliage, puppies, kittens and whatever art they are working on. That’s it. The most Lefty one of all did share a thing from “Vets for Obama” that The Economist tepidly endorsed Obama.
I felt really cruel responding with list of military brass and whom they’ve endorsed. There were 5 for Obama and about an arms length fro Romney…I didn’t count but had to keep scrolling down.
I see that Nate Silver himself is now saying that if it were to be +1R, Romney wins it!
Poor Obama is trying to fill gymnasiums…I just saw huge amounts of empty seats and Happy Warrior Mitt Romney fills ampitheatres.

Now Michael Barone, Dick Morris…again, George Will, the U of Colorado analysts AND the Redskins besides you…say Romney wins in a landslide.
Pathesperate indeed…also sodd (strange & odd!)

I think it’s somewhere around 395+ high ranking brass (active and retired) backing Romney…not to mention the majority of the troops in general. My husband’s best friend is Army EOD. They can’t STAND Obama. Their service is to their nation and their Constitution. They respect the office but not the man.

Of course I am going to call her up. Her name is Pat Shipp at the National Enquirer.

I will be polite to her but I need to tell her how stupid she is. She was really rude and disparaging to me and she said there was no way Obama would lose and “all the polls said Obama would win”. Then she got nastier and I told her she was wrong and that I’d talk to her again on November 6th and tell her how wrong she was.

Which is what I am going to do.

I have turned off the teevee because nothing anyone says now can make any difference. I suppose I could tape some shows to review in a week or so see if the leftists have started backpedalling, as Nate Silver already has, since he’s now blaming other pollsters if his model is skewed, which we know it is because it was skewed for O in ’08.
In retrospect I think the fear porn has motivated more Republicans to vote, but the price of the fear was too dear. Who needs it? BuI I think the Right was shellshocked by the Left’s rise in ’08 and their fear porn is really based on a fear that O could surprise them again. But that is based on misguided thinking that feeds on itself. Thank goodness Kevin has been a beacon of light for us True Believers.
I see O prevailing in only a few states (CA-WA-OR — debates did not have the same impact out here as they did elsewhere, and large left voter block probably enough in ’12 — but NOT in ’16). NM is like DE, as Kevin noted, and will go Left. Vermont is the OR of the East, and NY, DC, DE, CT, RI, IL and MD too, as always. MA should go R, because the state sometimes has enough brains to go Rep, and R was Governor there. What else? Nothing. That’s right, nothing. That adds up to 174. The remaining 364 are for the next President of the United States!

I am looking forward to seeing Jeralyn Merrit eat a little bit of crow. She keeps banging on about Nate Silver. Jeralyn seems a really nice lady but she is so wrong when it comes to politics and her reliance on that tool Nate Silver.

All of the other pundits have been stating that it will be a Romney win, so it does not make any sense… except it makes these Dems somehow feel good.

It’s incredible that people actually spend time and effort producing things like this. The fear mongering is so pathetic.

I guarantee that Mitt has never talked to his wife much less anyone like they portray him at the 10 second mark. I mean are they really trying to imply that he is “abusive” towards women?

The way that the left communicates their massages is becoming increasingly insulting to the intelligence of the desired target.

I’m really keen to see Nate Silver doubling-down on his “my model is correct, but the polls were wrong, hence I was. It’s not my fault.” statement (I’m paraphrasing, that’s more or less what he’s said).

It’s really the only course open to him. He has nowhere else to go if he wants to work again.

Yes. He can produce a REAL poll on Monday. But he’s too far Left to think straight, so I doubt it. He’ll hedge like a hedge fund. But he is way overexposed and will lose everything. His model will be selling for pennies on the dollar Tuesday night. Fire sale on Wednesday. He’s just another wannabe millionaire New Yorker gone up in the flames of the paper he works for for another week.

May I just add that I have been to the USA many times.

I was in AZ on 9/11. And yes, I was very afraid that I would never get home. All flights were grounded for days, but of course I made it back safely.

I refused to return while BHO’s picture is hanging at LAX airport, welcoming me.

I believe strongly in American Exceptionalism.

And if it weren’t for the USA Australians would possibly be speaking Japanese now.

The Brits were too busy in Europe to come to our aid.

We are a country of approximately 23 million people now but we weren’t then.

To put that into perspective that is your current unemployment number, and less (I think?) than the population of CA.

Few people recognize that the Japanese did in fact attack Australia. First there was Darwin, but other places were also subject to bombing, such as Townsville. Sydney was in danger too, and submarines managed to reach Sydney Harbour, plus Newcastle.

A few are just getting louder and more belligerent. I’m honestly starting to wonder about the mental health of some of these people and hope they don’t do anything rash. Seriously a couple of them seem to be in the throes of some sort of deep psychosis at the moment. Like, more than usual. Heads are already asploding. Tuesday night will be GLORIOUS. Notice how few of their arguments are constructive and positive.
Notice how many are baseless attacks, creepy kool-aid speak, and emotionalism. Anyone who’s still angry at the “Tea Party” is not voting for Romney, period. Yet that’s what Obama was ranting about yesterday. They’re preaching to their choir. Let’s hope we are all correct in that their choir is shrinking steadily.

After a couple of days of silence, the Leftists are out in full force on my facebook and twitter streams, and it’s mostly delusional or ugly. Positiviely reveling in the “conventional wisdom” ginned up by the media. Making fun of GOP for campaigning in PA, MN, WI. Lots of dumb comments about Mitt taking us back 50 years. Given Leftist devotion to Mad Men, is that a bad thing? (joke) One Leftist friend in FL, a regular volunteer/sometime employee for Florida’s Democrat Party, is ranting and raving about “racist voter suppression” by “Tea Party Governor Rick Scott.” Another Leftist acquaintance in MN is making an appeal to Arizona voters to vote for Obama, to “prevent another Gabby Giffords.” WTF, I know. But that’s how they think.

Reality check: If Obama is “conventional wisdom” winner why is he scrambling to shore up wisconsin and pennsylvania? If Romney is “desperate and flailing” wouldn’t he be rushing to defend states like Florida and North Carolina?

So, here’s my take. Leftists think they got this in the bag, because leftists are loving Obama and surrogates. Because they’re telling them everything they want to hear. But in so doing, they’re not telling the vast American middle what they want to hear.

Wrong thread, but I had to post what I intend to do on the 6th. After I get done being a poll observer, I may be heading to the RR office I’ve been working at. I kinda want to go across the street to the Obama office after the results are in. Not to gloat, but to talk. After all, we’ve all got to get over this political divide. The problems are too great, and they affect us all, regardless of political affiliation. Maybe I’m too idealistic- a lot of lefties are beyond approachable, but I’m just an idealistic person.

FYI- Election Day is Nov. 6th, as we all know. Election Day 1984 (Reagan’s 49 state win) was also on November 6th. Now let’s go out there and win one more for the Gipper!
