Cook County is still short 500 election judges for the November 6th election.
If Republicans don’t fill these positions by Thursday, then Democrats will be be able to staff them; the positions pay $170/day and are choice patronage plums that Democrats have enjoyed for years. Typically, those slots are given to union thugs or “community organizers” to fill because Republicans have never mounted any effort to combat voter fraud in this state…until now.
There’s a remarkable woman here in Illinois named Sharon Meroni who has single-handedly declared open war on voter fraud in Cook County. Democrats here have made her public enemy number one and have directed an Alinsky-inspired campaign of personal destruction against her. Someday, you’re going to see a movie about her life on the big screen because she honest to goodness is going to succeed in eliminating voter fraud in the most corrupt and fraud-ridden county in the country.
She is the Erin Brockovich of voter fraud, back when Erin Brockovich was still the Erin Brockovich of anything. One woman, standing up to powerful bullies, against impossible odds, working night and day with the political system and both parties fighting her tooth and nail. She is absolutely remarkable.
But, she needs your help.
Sharon and her Vote Defender colleagues are still looking to fill 500 open Republican election judge positions in Cook County.

I want to ask everyone who is reading this to PLEASE help spread the word about the need for these election judges in Cook County. We have a chance, for the first time in history, of preventing most of the voter fraud from happening in the most fraud-addled county in Illinois. Democrats win the state because of Cook County, and if Republicans just brought in 3-4% more votes each election then Illinois would go to Romney and not Obama in November. It’s estimated that eliminating voter fraud in all its forms in Cook County would decrease Democrats’ vote share by 2-3%. So — and I am going to put this in all-caps now because it is that explosive — SHARON MERONI COULD WIN ILLINOIS FOR ROMNEY with your help.
One woman, who declared war on voter fraud, could actually prevent Barack Obama from winning his “home state” through fraud if we can find 500 more people to be election judges.
PLEASE help me spread this request for help to all your contacts. Please ask every important or famous writer you know to blast Sharon’s press release to their readers too. We only have until Thursday to find these 500 judges and we need YOUR HELP!

If you’re in the habit of taking a Republican ballot during primaries, then you’re probably already receiving begging letters asking you to sign on as a judge of election. I was getting them for several years before I finally signed on in the summer of ’08 (when my youngest was old enough to get himself home from school and generally look after himself for a few hours).
It is a l-o-n-g day – you start at 5 am, setting up, polls are open from 6 am until 7 pm, then you have to shut everything down, print out all the totals, sign off on everything multiple times, then carry all the ballots to you nearest dropoff place. Ideally, one judge from each party is in on the delivery, which means as the only R judge in the neighborhood I go down there every time. I’d be happy to see more Rs. Hell, I’d be happy to see Green election judges, just to mix things up a bit.
I’ve got to say, in my precinct I’ve never seen anything untoward happen. People are downright eager to pull out their ID (you don’t even have to ask them) and at least in the elections I’ve worked, nobody has ever tried to impersonate a dead person or anyone who’s moved away. After several elections you pretty well get to know which face matches which name in the book.
We are supposed to be having training/refresher sessions in October (still waiting for my date here) but if it’s going to be online, that’s good to know too.
Cook County Republicans telephoned me to volunteer this week as a judge. When I agreed they sounded so excited that I said yes. The day starts at 5:30 and ends when the polls close but now I feel fantastic that I can help ensure a fair and accurate vote. Will keep you posted.
