Today is your last chance to stop Kathleen Sebelius' nomination as H&HS Secretary
Today is the last day you can call your Senators and urge them to vote against confirming Kathleen Sebelius as Secretary of Awkward Gross Kissing Health & Human Services.
The reasons we oppose her nomination are threefold:
(1) Her disastrous performance as Governor of Kansas is chock full of more chaos and ineptitude than a carload of dropouts from Barnum & Bailey’s clown college.
(2) An H&HS Secretary needs to be someone with the assertiveness, skill, and bare-knuckles-brawling acumen of an Ed Rendell or Hillary Clinton. Kathleen Sebelius is like sending in a wobbly Segway scooter to do the job of a Sherman tank. On top of this, she has the uncanny ability to make people fall asleep while she speaks, and is probably the most dispassionate and ineffective Governor of any state around today.
(3) If Kathleen Sebelius is a multi-millionaire who can’t bother to pay her taxes correctly, and doesn’t have the sense, morals, or ability to hire competent accountants to do that for her, then why on Earth should we trust her with the complicated and gargantuan budget H&HS will carve up in the years ahead? Personally, we wouldn’t trust her with a mildly active eBay account, let alone trillions in spending over the next four years.
If you don’t want to see this uninspiring, ineffective, shoddy, tax-dodging, inept, Governor become our next H&HS Secretary, then please call your Senators today and tell them to vote against her. Tomorrow is her confirmation hearing, so this is your very last chance. Let’s light up the switchboards like a Christmas tree:

You can use whatever reason you feel is best not to support her, but her ineptitude, failure to pay taxes, and poor fit for the job are our three big reasons for wanting to see this nomination rejected (in favor of someone much more qualified, like Ed Rendell).

Apparently the only qualifications President Obama has for his cabinet (and other appointed) positions is that they must have tax issues and have been a failure at their previously elected position.
That certainly seems to be the only people he is utilizing.

I think this is related to the sudden flu scare.
I wonder how much the fact they want to push Kathleen Sebelius thru as HHS today plays into this national emergency? Justin like the gietner was needed right away because the economy was collapsing, we NEED a HHS Sec in the middle of a health crisis (especially since we don’t have a head of the CDC or Suegeon General either) so you MUST let her be head or you hate America and don’t care about the people who will die from the swine flu…fear card

TIJUANA, Mexico, April 27 (Reuters) – Many Mexicans crossing into the United States on Monday at one of the busiest crossings on the border shunned advice to wear surgical face mask to curb the spread of a deadly new flu.
Most Mexican immigration officials at the Tijuana-San Diego crossing were using masks and surgical gloves, but Mexicans crossing by car and foot seemed unconcerned by the influenza scare and only a handful wore masks.
“I don’t think anything will happen to me, it’s old people and children we need to look after,” said Gloria, a 35-year-old woman waiting to cross by car into California who declined to give her last name.
Many of the up to 149 people who have died of the new virus in Mexico have actually been aged between 25 and 45, a worrying sign as pandemics tend to target healthy young adults.
