Time to separate the men from the drag queens: Charlie Crist goes Independent to ensure Democrat Senate victory in Florida. How the GOP responds is a test of mettle.

Florida's orange Governor, Charlie Crist (arrow), announcing his Independent bid for Senate in a time-traveling visit to the set of Diffr'nt Strokes
We really and truly don’t understand why Republicans are so averse to going for the throat, and really and truly ripping out the jugular, when it comes to people like Charlie Crist who so betray their constituents.
Crist should have been taken down a long, LONG time ago. He should have been given the Eric Mass/Mark Foley treatment.
The skeletons in Crist’s closet are hot pink, bedazzled with rhinestones, clutching the collected recordings of Liza AND Barbara, on limited-edition collector’s vinyl.
His antics — and drag appearances — at the Green Iguana in Tampa, Florida are legendary. Crist’s political career should be so over that he needs to submit an application to move to Chicago and come work at The Baton, where his “Sweet Charlotte, Belle of the South” drag shtick might even land him a regular gig at Second City, should they find need for a Mrs. Garrett/Charlotte Rae impersonator.
The facts of life in Florida politics for the GOP are this: Crist has been coddled and protected, with his many, many secrets kept from the public, for too long.
Do you not understand the simple fact that Democrats probably have photos of Crist not only nancing it up at the Green Iguana, like Tobias Funke, without any comical misunderstandings, but most likely dressed in full-on, sham-glam drag (and not in the way Rudy Giuliani used to do it, which was supposedly just for laughs)?
Democrats have a file on Crist.
Democrats wanted Crist to sabotage the GOP’s chances in this Senate race.
Crist, like Lindsey Graham in South Carolina, and other closeted gay Republicans out there, succumbs to Democrats’ blackmail and does their bidding — even when it’s against the best interests of their constituents, as well as their party.
Crist is the Democrats’ spoiler in the Florida Senate race.
We urge the GOP to break from habit and tradition and focus everything they have got in exposing Charlie Crist for the liar and fraud he really is. Out him. Get those photos of him from the Green Iguana. Expose his sham of a marriage — to a novelty and fake beard heiress, no less.
Absolutely ruin this man by revealing every last one of his secrets, so he won’t be able to get so much as a seat on the board of a Key West bed & breakfast after this campaign is over.
Make an example of Charlie Crist.
So much so that Lindsey Graham might learn a lesson, so that he, too, stops bending over so readily and merrily whenever the White House or DNC bark their orders.
Florida’s orange Governor Crist must become TOAST.
Time for the GOP to man up and do unto Crist what Democrats would do to him, if he started out as a Dem and then switched to Independent to throw a race to Republicans.
Do you really think the DNC would let him get away with that?
So, why does the GOP allow a problem like Crist to persist?

“So, why does the GOP allow a problem like Crist to persist?”
Where do I begin?
First, they have no balls. There, I said it. Sarah Palin alone has more testicular fortitude then all the men in the Republican leadership. Throw Michele Bachman in the mix, along with Liz Cheney and Ann Coulter, and they could run the whole country without breaking a sweat.
Second, Republicans were the minority party for about 40 years, and that is how they think. They do not understand power, nor do they know how to use it.
You are right on about R’s having no idea how to use power. Rush talks about it all the time. Its the double whammy of wanting to be liked by the MSM and the elites and have no “spine.”
Look at Mitch McConell for example, does the guy evoke fear into anyone on the Democrat side?
Wow, Kelly, that was an excellent analysis and summation.
I would like to see the women you’ve named run the country. Though I would add Hillary to the group. Just one Hillary could balance things out a bit ideologically, and she’s dang smart, too. At her core, you know she loves the USA, and I’ll bet there’s a part of her DNA that’s recalling her early days as a Goldwater Girl.
Anyway, c’mon Repubs, listen to HillBuzz. They’ve got your party leadership’s number. They are RIGHT!
You could do with some of our Dem strategies, especially the one called PASSION, and that other one known as calling people out on their shiit and obliterating their negative effect on your aim.
Let’s set up a real kitchen cabinet with all women. You fill in the blanks. I have put in my 3 favorites:
President Sarah Palin
Vice President Michele Bachman
Secretary of State
Director of Homeland Security Jan Brewer
Secretary of Defense
Secretary of Treasury
SoS – Liz Cheney
Sec of Def – Tammy Bruce (though she has said she would rename the department Kick your Ass Dept)
Press Secretary – Megyn Kelly
Press Secretary-Ann Coulter?
White House Chief of Staff Michelle Malkin.
Absolutely spot on Kelly.
Do you really think Crist will syphon off enough votes from Republicans to win? Rubio is a pretty compelling candidate, I think. And I am not just talking about his looks (which, needless to say, are impressive).
Crist needs to be made an example of, and he needs to be destroyed like Carthage by Rome.
Then, in the future, when some fool thinks about becoming a spoiler just to hand an election to Democrats, that person will be told, “Dude, you remember what happened to Charlie Crist, right?”
“Who?”
“Charlie Crist. That low-rent Mrs. Garrett impersonator in Chicago, who was just totally destroyed by pulling this crap.”
“Oh, yah, forgot about him. Heard he’s also a towel boy up at Man’s Country too.”
“Well, that he does for free. Calls it ‘community service’, he does”.
“Yah, and I know what community he’s servicing. He’s not fooling anyone now!”
I don’t disagree with you. Republicans like Crist just need to accept defeat graciously and live to fight another day.
But what you are really saying is this: Crist is willing to run Indy just to keep his Man Country buddy Obama from outing him and ruining things for him. Who knows how thick the Crist file is? Perhaps he’s done things in places that would embarass him were they to become public.
Remember Jack Ryan? Obama’s minions 86-ed him by having divorce records unsealed, revealing that he wanted to have sex with his then-wife in front of other people at a swinger’s club. Being the good son of a good Catholic family, Ryan withdrew from his race for the US Senate seat from IL. That ensured Utopia’s election.
Two orgasms in one day! Thanks for reminding us about Jack and Geri Ryan!!
“Crist needs to be made an example of, and he needs to be destroyed like Carthage by Rome.”
Can a gay man unwittingly give a straight woman a political orgasm?
Yes, yes he can.
Boyz why can’t we out him? Can’t we start writing letters? I for one will copy your post and send it to as many people on my mail list as might be interested.
Who’s going to vote for Orange Charlie? no, his poll numbers from here on out will only go lower and lower.
And I agree with Hillbuzz: to Carthage with him!
Censeo Charlie esse delendam.
I hope you’re right. Patriots know that it’s now crucial to unseat the Socialists, so one would hope that, as in NJ, the Indy candidate will not become the spoiler.
I think he will more than likely take more votes away from Meek than Rubio as Rubio had him smashed…the tiny group of Repubs that were supporting Crist were only doing so because they knew who he was…I just don’t see those people as the type who are really going to get out and vote…at least not enough of them to make a difference.
But how would one “out” someone like this? All we’d need is someone who has access to the photos and/or other proof of his antics in Tampa and we can post it all over Facebook. But I have yet to see any of that proof myself. And I have no ties to any Democrats that do. I’m game though.
Mom:
You are right, polls show he will likely take votes away from Meek. Since Rubio is conservative enough, he has the base and Latin vote (that votes R) locked up. RINOs would vote for Rubio b/c of party loyalty.
Crist is playing his cards…the bad thing is Rubio with his wishy washy stance on illegal immigration(fundamental conservative issue)might lose some of the overwhelming support of the almighty conservative movement, the Tea Party and the angry anti Obama mob.
It was better for Rubio not to express his opinion than coming up with that liberal stance. He comes up as an opportunist appeaser.
The Republican Party is at the verge to take both houses of Congress with Conservative message with Sarah Palin as pivotal figure. They better don’t mess it up now.
agree, that was a BIG mistake!!
Marco Rubio is not against this Arizona immigration bill. He is MAD that the Feds for not doing their job! As usual, he’s getting taken out of context and we are falling for it!
But I heard him say he was against the AZ bill. Yes, angry with the feds but also against the bill.
Be that as it may, can’t have everything at this point, so I’m still praying he wins.
No way out for Rubio on this one. He had to respond.
Good to see you, Mtilda!
Hope you’re doin’ OK. :]
Problem is, he is the son of Cuban immigrants. Though the demographics are currently in flux, most Cuban-Americans have traditionally voted as Republicans.
Basically, he is trying to cover all the bases. Keep in mind, I’m in South Florida and there are a hell-of-a-lot of Cuban and Venezuelan ex-pats here who detest anything Commie sounding but will still believe in amnesty. A lot saw it work under Reagan/ Bush and wish to see it applied again.
Though I agree with what Arizona is doing (and I am of Hispanic descent) I must say, I do understand the stance.
Well, it takes a whole lot more courage to keep with the principles, but Rubio is young and will develop more of a backbone (which to me means explaining why his fellow Cubanos, etc., should be in favor of the bill).
I still yearn for the emergence of a leader who ALWAYS walks their talk. Who is completely consistent with her principles.
No candidate running in FL can realistically take a hard public stance against any form of immigrant. Leave that one alone and don’t hold Rubio accountable for things that are happening in another state. We want him to win – and he needs all the hispanic voters he can get on top of whatever Republican base he can build.
I live in Florida. There seems to be some genuine admiration for
Crist, but not from mos Republicans. His support is from independents and demorats. His recent bow to the teachers union and their supporters concerning his veto of the teacher tenure bill gained him some fans, too. A recent poll showed him a couple points ahead of Rubio in a three way race. Now that he has declared his independent run for Senate, my guess is that his support will erode as Democrats return to the fold for Mr. Meeks, who is a black man who some will feel bad about voting against. I also believe that there are some Republicans that will take Hillbuzz’s advice and go about destroying the traitor.
As an aside, I read a comment from a citizen that was written in the St. Petersburg Times today. The gist of the comment was that ever since Crist has been in politics, he has been a do-nothing politician who spends his time trying to get elected to his NEXT political job. In other words, his days as governor of Florida, for instance, are spent running for the US Senate position, not working on the state’s problems. It’s all about what’s good for Charlie. Sound a lot like our Inept-In-Chief in my opinion. Charlie has cult personality tendencies himself. When he ran for governor, he had three large multi-story banners of his ugly mug strung from Tampa highrise buildings. There was a public outcry that forced his campaign to eventually remove them. Narcissist in orange.
He is!! Anybody who would throw their party principals under the bus for personal ambition needs to be excoriated. He doesn’t stand for anything. He just parrots what he has to to get votes. That is a vile character in my opinion. Just like Arlan Spector. Few people can claim what Crist stands for because it changes day by day. He should be called out for being a traitor.
Perhaps if the photos, and a lovely post card, wound up in Dick Cheney’s mailbox? He may be just “evil” enough to make good use of them. And he is retired, which means he can stir up trouble for traitors.
Great Merciful Zeus, can Cheney just shoot him in the face?
I’ll buy the ammunition.
I’ll buy the popcorn!
As much as I dislike Charlie Crist, let’s not use the violence metaphors so common with the left. We are better than that.
Conservatives are conservative. That’s the problem…lol.
The problem is when conservatives DON”T act conservative they get blasted by the MSM. Like Joe Wilson, “You lie”. The double standard problem…
The GOP has got to stop giving a damn what the LSM says!
Screw the LSM. This is WAR!
They haven’t reported a truthful fact in so long no thinking person believes a thing they say anymore.
Look at newspaper sales and the LSM cable ratings. People are waking up.
I am right there with you! I had a friend say she was “careful” around her liberal friends. Not me. I don’t care if they ditch me. Silent no more.
Bijou:
Hillbuzz has written so many times that the GOP still cares what the MSM thinks! That’s the problem, they hate getting called names, and just cower, instead of standing up to them. The MSM will never like them, so get used to it and move on….. as a result of pandering to the MSM, they look so weak and frail.
However, who is the one Republian on the national scene who doesn’t care what the MSM thinks, in fact, this person constantly taunts them with their own malpractice?
Bev, There’s nothing wrong with being a conservative conservative. I don’t think it’s a problem at all…and I don’t see the lol in that.
So they don’t go for the throat or out someone on national tv. They get things accomplished in different ways and when something needs to be said they’ll say it, as we see with Sarah Palin.
Why insist on conservatives behaving against their character?
For me it is just frustrating when conservatives don’t stand up for our values because they don’t want to be challenged. The left works by intimidation and if you don’t stand up to the bullies, they keep at it. To me, this is war right now. Before we know it the country will be transformed. I say go for the jugular.
Well, no I’m not dissing conservatives because their conservative…I’m just pointing out that most conservatives ARE conservative. It’s difficult to get people who are conservative by nature to be loud and protest and be pushy basically. That’s why I think the Tea Party is so phenomenal…because most conservatives would just sit at home quietly fuming and not do anything. That’s what I meant. The silent majority can’t be silent anymore.
FB is a good example. I have 57 friends on FB. Of those maybe 5 will reply to my rants about the Liberals publically. Another 10 will private message me and agree passionately. The others say nothing although I’m pretty confident they agree and if I asked them specifically they would agree. So it’s the nature of being conservative. Nothing wrong with that except we have to get people fired up more.
If photos of Governor Cristco in full drag exists why doesn’t someone submit them to either the National Enquirer or the Drudge Report. They can make a bit of scratch and end his craven political career at the same time. A no lose situation for all parties concerned. Unfortunately the Republicans do not have the cojones to make an example of this craven tool.
His permanent neon tan is particularly irritating by the way.
Why would the Dems release the info BEFORE the election? They need Crisp (as in tanned to a…) to act the spoiler so their candidate can win.
Crisp, as in Quentin, is more descriptive of our gal Charlie.
hahahahaha! I wanted to say that, but I felt it was an insult to the venerable old man.
What strange times we are living in when we are looking to the National Enquirer to out a gay politician since they are doing the only “serious” polictical reporting these days! LOL
Of course there’s always YouTube for a video montage. I can see the attention grabbing headline now “Crist Goes Viral”.
If bloggers can get ahold of these things, I’m sure they’d be happy to do the job the party or LSM are too wimpy to do.
Someone like Breitbart would take it on I’m sure.
I read somewhere months ago — probably here, it stands to reason — that Mrs. Christ a.k.a. the beard lives in New York under the watchful eyes of two Florida state troopers. As a set-up it sounded definitely, well, suspicious … I’m sure she could tell quite a few stories about her husband.
Does anyone else know anything about this?
Better to talk to the former Mrs. Crist.
From Wikipedia:
“In July 1979, Crist married Amanda Morrow and the two divorced less than a year later. Crist became engaged to Carole Rome on July 3, 2008 and was married on December 12, 2008, at the First Methodist Church of St. Petersburg, where Crist is a member.”
I hope the republican leadership understands we expect them to be aggressive.
With that being said “TAKE CRIST OUTTTT!!!!
I hesitate to say this for fear of hurting someone here. However, the LGBT community, via the D party, has done a fabulous job of having the R’s quaking in their boots for fear of saying anything negative about one of their own. It’s the “RACIST” or “SEXIST” thing all over again, only it’s “HOMOPHOBES”. Same tune, different words. But fear of lawsuits, fear of being thought of as not being “tolerant”, has kept the R’s hands shackled from telling the truth. That’s my personal opinion, and there’s no real solid proof of that. But I feel the D’s have built up a fantastic “guilt card” that they pull so successfully that the R’s don’t want to expose even the most outrageous examples such as this idiot in Florida.
I think your point is very well taken.
I agree.
For those all up in arms because of Marco Rubio’s stance on the Arizona situation, please listen to his own words…He’s not mad about Arizona taking action, he’s furious that the Fed Gov’t hasn’t enforced the immigration laws…he would prefer that the Feds took action rather than Arizona to have to take action. As usual, the left has taken his words and used them to pry him away from Conservative votes…come on people…listen up!
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whu9VMaO9wE&hl=en_US&fs=1&]
he explains that Obama is going to use this situation to push through an Amnesty bill that we will not like!
Thanks. I feel better now. But know that in the clips shown on the news outlets, he did not go into detail.
Of course, Juan Williams is on the O’Reilly show saying how we now have a rift in the Republican party over this…hmmmmmm…the Dems have been waiting for something like this to pounce on. Unlike them, not all Republicans feel the need to agree whole-heartedly in lock-step with one another…we all have different approaches to how to solve a problem…BUT WE DO ALL AGREE THERE IS A PROBLEM!!! But the Media doesn’t want to focus on what we agree on…they are trying to put a wedge to split us apart…DON’T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!
Rubio blew it. He is trying to recover. He should have had cojones to put his personal ethnic beliefs aside and go for principles. This nation is not for Hispanics only. We are all Americans.
American citizens and legal residents have nothing to fear. They can go eat icecream or walk the dog any time they want.
Is even anti constitutional to ask people about their legal status on the streets just for the sake of it. The governor have made sure that will not happen.
Rubio comes out just as any La Raza activist.
Rubio is a SELL OUT. The question he should answer is “Are you with your fellow Republican governor Jan Brewer in support of her immigration law or are you not???” Answer Rubio!
“Do you think this initiative is wrong?”
“Are you putting your ethnicity over conservative principles???”
Sell out. You will be lucky if you win now.
I’m calling you out as a troll…sorry, but I you are obviously part of the problem…people who think they can jump on any way possible to turn Republicans against themselves without even having all the facts. I’m not going to repeat myself because I’ve already posted a link with Rubio giving his opinion in his own words and you obviously either didn’t listen to it or you’re deliberately trying to turn his conservative base against him so he can lose. Sorry…we aren’t falling for it. The left loons WILL NOT WIN IN NOVEMBER…get used to it.
I think that’s a bit of a stretch; taking exception to Rubio’s comments about the Arizona law is certainly a valid point of view on the matter — and by no means the same thing as wanting him to lose (to either of the two opponents), let alone working towards that goal.
And there’s nothing anonymous about Carmelo, obviously — he comments in many fora.
Amsterdam…it’s one thing to say that you disagree with him, but Carmelo is saying he’s toast…he’s a sell out…sorry, but it sounds like a ploy to infultrate an convince people that he’s not worth their vote. Plus, he started in on the Wed open thread with another mention of this sitch.
Of course, I could be wrong, and I hope I am and I’ll be the first to apologize…but I will totally go balistic if people start to turn against Rubio over something that he gave an opinion on…he didn’t have to sign the bill himself or answer to the Arizona constituents…he gave his opinion. I will not stand for someone trying to split the vote through tactics like trolling this or any other site.
I just looked back at some of Carmelo’s comments. The true test of a troll is whether or not a person can contain their loathing for Sarah Palin, and I have not found even a hint of that from his postings.
To be fair, this may be an emotional issue for Carmelo. He has stated he is from Puerto Rico. I think most legal immigrants prefer that all immigrants take the front door, not sneak in the back door, as do the rest of us.
I had seen the headlines about Rubio’s comments also and was profoundly disappointed. However, I just listened to what he said, and I would definitely say he is the victim of the Democrat or perhaps even Crist spin machine. I do not believe Rush Limbaugh played any audio today, so I believe he is the victim of reading the headlines as well with his lambasting of Rubio on this one.
That said, Carmelo, I have no love for Gingrich.
I haven’t had a chance to listen to that audio recording but personally on this issue — rather differently than with the fracas over his view of Romneycare and Obamacare — I’m inclined to give Rubio the benefit of the doubt. The difficulties that political refugees who haven’t been able to regularize their status face (e.g., some of the Cubans fleeing from Castro) may weigh on his mind and thus have played a role in his remarks.
And that the Democrats’ spin machine (or Christ’s) may be operating to distort his remarks and discredit him with the base, certainly sounds plausible. Yes.
On the other hand, the great frustration of many with ‘Pubs who go squishy once in office, or even before, is something I can understand very well, even if I don’t share it in some of the most prominent instances, in McCain’s case for instance, or Scott Brown’s. (Lindsey Graham, however, is another story!) People have felt they’ve been burned one too many times by politicians “talking the talk but not walking the walk,” and their wariness and anger is justified — all the more so if it helps to encourage said politicians to stay the course.
Hm, I had a further response but it seems to have been devoured. Anyhow, just the gist then:
Even if in many instances I don’t share it (there are several where I do — e.g., Lindsey Graham’s), I do understand the frustration felt by many towards ‘Pubs who go squishy once in office, or even before, and the vehemence with which it is expressed. People feel that they’ve been shafted by those whom they trusted and grow wary and angry in response. I think it’s a mistake to conclude that they then are working to split the vote, let alone operating undercover as trolls or plants from the other side.
When people like Rubio — here I’m not talking about other quite different cases such as McCain’s — get wind of the reaction to the remarks he has made, they are more likely to realize that even they can’t take their base for granted, and thus are encouraged not to go soft. This effect should not I think be discounted.
So enough of this defense of Carmelo. I’m sure he is more than ready to hold his own ground!
I think Marco Rubio is off my book even as Sarah’s VP. His wishy washy stance on the Arizona law issue is immature. The guy lacks backbone and principles.
I was so impressed by him. Now I’m looking at Allen West. Please Col. West do not disappoint us!!
I don’t think Carmelo is a troll. He is Puerto Rican and has been very vocal about that vote on Thursday. We should take note that some of HB fans are international so their post might be with an accent we can’t hear =)
I had the same reaction at first, tho but he’s been very consistent with his posts about Sarah Palin…
Someone on here had the right idea…submit photos of Crist in drag, at that Tampa club to Breitbart or Drudge. These guys would post it once they verify that it’s not photoshopped. Are there Hillbuzz readers in Florida that have access to those photos? Too soon to tell, but it sure would help to “out” the phony, and take away many of his voters.
Even though Rubio was stupid to get in on the bash-Arizona for enforcing their borders fight, he’s WAAAY better than that weak-kneed mushy non-Republican, Charlie Crist.
And what’s up with him STILL not calling for Sarah’s support? Doesn’t he realize what she did for Saxby Chamblis in GA, or even John McCain (sadly) in his bid for re-election in the R primary in AZ? Marco Rubio was GREAT at CPAC. I just hope he doesn’t get swayed by the limp-wristed RINOs.
Mom in Wisconsin
Please listen to Rubio…he has NOT bashed Arizona…he’s bashing the Feds for not doing their job and he is NOT in favor of Amnesty. Stop putting words in his mouth.
G8rMom7,
In politics PERCEPTION is what counts. What Marco Rubio should have said is : “I have no opinion on that” or “I support Governor Brewer initiative”.
But no, he goes and says “This law concerns me”.
That is the same answer McCain, Bush, Romney, Huckabee, or Pawlenty would have given.
That stance DOES NOT works! Do you get it?
Rubio is a huge disappointment. At least we knew that Scott Brown was a moderate, but Marco Rubio? Come on!
Rubio’s mistake and lack of backbone is because is too young with no executive experience. So he might get a pass. I’m afraid this guy is out of the list even for VP.
“What Marco Rubio should have said is : ‘I have no opinion on that’ ” ?? Really? He would have been slaughtered. Damned if you do & damned if you don’t. We all know that if the federal govt would enforce federal laws, then AZ wouldn’t have had to do this. His remark of “This law concerns me” doesn’t work for you? Because he choses to analyze rather than giving a canned answer, he is a disappointment? Did you even listen to what he was saying? Maybe you should read the transcript. He NEVER says that he is against the AZ law.
CatieR,
A smart politician would have answering something that keeps the door open for the benefit of the doubt. Something like “I don’t have all the elements to make a sound judgement on that”. Or he could have gone straight supporting this REPUBLICAN female governor of Arizona that is the real hero trying to get her state in order and under the Law!
What Marco Rubio came up with?? With a wishy washy, nonsense attack to the federal government. For God’s sake, governor Brewer have sent many letters to the federal government and they threw the letters to the trash can. She sent emails and the Feds deleted them all.
What the heck was this bave REPUBLICAN governor had to do than take the matters on her own hands!!
Marco Rubio blew it. This guy is another Romney or another McCain in the making! He placed his ethnicity and maybe some votes over his onw Party conservative PRINCIPLES.
Marco Rubio shoot himself in the foot!
I’m Hispanic and my answer is “Governor Brewer go ahead and defend your state. 60% of Arizonians are with you!”
G8Mom7,
Maybe you are one of those “Sarah Supporters” that are eager to find some one else to take her down with conservatives. I think I know where you coming from.
Marco Rubio as GOP presidential candidate WILL NOT work against Obama. Obama would mop the floor with him. The GOP needs to be original and send a WOMAN against the first “black” president. Another male, no matter if he is Antonio Banderas, will not defeat Obama!! Get it!
Guyz and Girlz,
This Marco Rubio crap is getting old. But there are some people even conservatives that are defending this guy’s stance on the Arizona Immigration Law.
Please, if you think this guy is presidential material and worst, that he can defeat Obama you are dreaming.
Obama would destroy him. Rubio has no military-executive experience. He is young but Obama is young too. He could get some Hispanic support, BUT Obama already has the Hispanic vote wrapped up.
We don’t need the Republican Obama no! We need the Republican Lincoln or the Republican Reagan, not another Obama in the White House!
The footage of Crist less than a month ago on Chris Wallace’s Sunday show where he EXPLICITY SAID he would not change parties or run as an independent would make a lovely campaign ad.
I’m just sayin’
Yes it would…makes him look like a liar doesn’t it?
Is it November yet? I can’t relax for many reasons, the first and foremost being living in an America in which the Socialists have lost power.
I was talking with an old Jersey friend today, telling him I’m still legally an Arizonan and that the Board of Elections is willing to send my absentee ballot to NJ. I lamented that I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to cast my vote against Juan McCain and for J. D. Hayworth or have the pleasure of voting Repub down the line for the first time in NJ.
He said we need the votes more here, so I’ll be reregistering in the Garden State.
Is it November yet?
Oops, I meant to say that I can’t relax until I know I’m living in an America in which the Socialists have lost power.
Coffee much?
Repeating this down here just so it is seen by more…Re: Rubio and the immigration law…
Of course, Juan Williams is on the O’Reilly show saying how we now have a rift in the Republican party over this…hmmmmmm…the Dems have been waiting for something like this to pounce on. Maybe it’s just me, and I’m probably a little off base here, but I’m finding it sort of uncomfortable that there are so many comments about using Crist’s sexual orientation as a weapon against him. I understand the distaste because he’s a phony – and that I have no problem with. And I’m all for bashing the hell out of him for his wishy-washy, Obama-hopey-changey-Unicorns-shitting-skittles politics, but I hope that the criticisms will distinguish between his hypocrisy, his political actions, and his private life. Two out of three should be sufficient, right???
“We really and truly don’t understand why Republicans are so averse to going for the throat, and really and truly ripping out the jugular, when it comes to people like Charlie Crist who so betray their constituents.”
The Republicans cannot go for the jugular because that is not the part they play in the political theater production of “Politics American Style.” They are trapped in a cage without walls, just as the American people are trapped … basically sheep ready for a slaughter.
Hillbuzz, my comments seem to be going into spam today. I’ve written two different comments that have not appeared. Can you release them? I’m not sure what’s happening. I think this comment may not show up either.
Well, this one worked. I don’t get it.

Narcissist.
Sorry about the duplicate comments. If you helped me with this, I thank you Hillbuzz.
According to this link, the banner was 70 feet tall, as in 6 stories high! Ok, my memory was that there was more than one banner, so it looks like I am wrong about that, but still, how ridiculous and cultish can on get? Oooops, we are witnessing something even more pervasive with Obama.
I live in Florida. There seems to be some genuine admiration for Charlie
Crist, but not from most Republicans.
When he ran for governor, he had three large multi-story banners of his ugly mug strung from Tampa highrise buildings. There was a public outcry that forced his campaign to eventually remove them. Narcissist in orange.
Oh well. I just tried the same comments that I luckily copied just in case, but they did not appear. There is nothing bad or offensive in my comments, so if wordpress is blocking them, it shouldn’t be.
Maybe you boyz at Hillbuzz can put out the call for people to find photos of Chreepy Christ at the Green Iguana and forward them to Drudge…he could feature them with the flashing light and red headlines after Chreepy Christ announces his run as an independent. If not Drudge, how about TMZ or the Nat Enquirer?
The Republicans are in a tough sitch on this one, and other closeted Rs like Grahamnesty. I sympathize.
If they out someone–even one of their own–they will be pilloried in the press and by Dems as being bigots. On the other hand, they will be shown to have been hypocrits to the religious right by protecting so many gay men for so long.
It’s no win.
You better believe that the Dems and the MSM are going to have Dame Crist’s back on this one.
Interesting that Crist went to Chicago last summer to fundraise, why??? Something was up with that. We need to track back to that little trip.
O-M-G!
This is THE best! I almost swallowed my tongue I was laughing so hard.
The truly sad part is you guys are 100 percent spot on.
The GOP is a bunch of real wimps. This is why Sarah Palin resonates with so many.
The GOP need to take losers like Crist and Graham out.
This HBO film features Crist and premieres May 8 at theaters in the Sunshine State and elsewhere.

I didn’t know that Crist went to Chicago to raise money, but he obviously expected something from Rahm after leaving his party:

He was ignored. They refused his call.
Another one under the bus!
Another jilted would-be lover! It’s too funny.
Awesome new ad from Rubio. He didn’t even have to say a word!

“Make an example of Charlie Crist”
Absolutely, unequivocally, 1000 percent guaranteed. I do NOT understand why the GOP is protecting this traitor, any more than I understood why the GOP protected Darlin’ Arlen Specter for so many years and look where it’s gotten us!
IMO, it’s up to florida TEA patriots to make that example, in the form of Rubio. They’re doing a great job. I hope they keep it up.
