Obama really is off the mark when he thinks that middle class people will be able to afford computers and new car loans once he gets into power. Doesn’t he realize how little money people have? And that the vast majority of them will be paying off bills so they just don’t go into bankruptcy?

I got to thinking about this early voting that Obama pushed through today. It occurs to me that this works in his favor because a certain number of people have already voted and once these early voters realize what kind of a monster he really is, it’s too late to take their vote back! He’s counting on early voters! We need to talk them out of it. I’m a McCain supporter, but logic would tell me to wait until the very end of the campaign so I could have as much info as I could get before I made my decision. No matter who was running. After all, I’m only an avid supporter of McCain because I want so badly for Obama to lose. McCain was not my choice in the primaries.
I was hoping she meant that the economy would be better, and gas would be cheaper, and interest rates would drop, so her payments would be cheaper…but you neer know. Still, that is a hefty load for Obama to accomplish. And I also know there are a lot of people who think Obama is going to grant reparations…

I am a Republican voting for McCain. I have deep concerns about the fate of the Supreme Court and the balance of power in DC if Obama is elect president.
That said, I MUST comment that this election has united this country in a strange way. Websites like Hillbuzz and PUMA and countless others reflect how Americans from with very different political views are standing together against Barak Obama. It’s thrilling, I must say, to see that we are lifting one another against someone who we all agree is not suited to be president based on his past, his associations and his intended vision for this nation. Normally I ignore anything with Obama supporters but I did watch this video, and I would be negligent if I didn’t point out that it isn’t as extreme as the blog title makes it out to be.
I am a conservative, and an extreme right wing and staunch one at that. I like facts. I like facts because conservatives are often accused of being stupid or lying and I like my facts to be precise and accurate even if they give the other side a “break”. I do not hesitate if necessary to point out flaws from fellow conservatives because I do not want to give any opportunity to allow anyone to try to discredit my position with the slightest irregularity.
Her exact words in the video were, “I don’t have to worry about…” I did not read that as expectations that someone else would pay for it. Those words could be taken a lot of ways, and she could just as easily implied that the economy would improve and she would be able to live within her means as her means would improve.
However when she said “that man will help me,” that was what got my attention, because that man won’t even invite his aunt to come to Chicago and live in his big house that Tony Rezko helped him purchase. That man (or That One?) will not help anyone but himself – to your money.
If she really thinks that that man will help her, maybe I have a ski lodge in Costa Rica to sell her.
I’m speechless.

Tonight at Chipotle, where I work, we were handing out free burritos to anyone dressed up for halloween. You can imagine the lines we had on a college campus, and no surprise I saw about 20 Obama pins and NO McCain pins (lining up for free hand-outs eh…)
Anyway, one (I’ll mention the fact she was black) lady said “well this is nice, but I guess you guys are just making up for the times you over-charge us.” I said “Overcharge you?” and she said “yea, it’s way too expensive here!” and I said, “well, we gotta pay for our food, and pay our employees and make money, we’re in business to make money you know.” I turned to a fellow employee and we both just shook our heads and agreed “everyone should take a business or economics course in their lifetime”
The real kicker!? This lady had an Obama pin on.
Look if we don’t get out the vote for McCain, we’re gonna be in it real deep in this country people! I know I’m preaching to the choir, but stil….
Our son was a police officer in Portland, OR for many years before he and his wife decided to start their own small business. They’ve been at it two years now–replaced their two full time (previous jobs) incomes within 12 months, are working their butts off, and enjoying the rewards of their labors. (A month ago, they began talking about increasing their cash reserves considerably to protect themselves in the event of a Bambam win)
But…in connection with this dizzy dame’s perspective and expectations, I’m reminded that he often observed that if stupidity were a crime, police work would be a lot simpler. The way Bambi has set these dynamics up, he and his may get the riots they seem to want. Absolutely despicable.

I had someone at work yesterday tell me I must be rich because I’m supporting McCain. They said the only people who support Repubs are rich people who don’t want to pay higher taxes. I’m not rich- I’m very middle class. When I told them all of our taxes will go up under Obama because he would roll back Bush’s taxcuts and we would all pay Clinton rates- they said Obama will cut taxes on 95% of Americans.

Unfortunately, many in the black community believe the same as Peggy does. I know because I talk to them daily. It’s really scary. Also, like most BO supporters if you ask them why they are voting for him, they cannot tell you other than because he is black–something most will not tell a white person. It’s got nothing to do with racism, but for many disenfranchised black, race pride. They sincerely believe that he is going to solve all their problems and ease their ills because he is black like them. I like to think that not all Blacks are as deluded as the people that you speak to, lulu, but you’re probably right. It explains why they’re not asking the questions that they should be asking. And it leads me to wonder if they would still be voting for Obama if he still spoke the same way and told the same lies, and happened to be White?
I have never been one to wait for Uncle Sam to hand me the money, as much as I appreciated the tax rebate check I got last summer (which was promptly used to pay bills)…but back when my ex walked out on me and our two daughters, the first thing I did was to drop out of school (I was in my late thirties and had just started college) and go out and find a minimum wage job so I could at least put some food on the table. And I made too much money to qualify for food stamps, even though I only made minimum wage.
Turns out in order to qualify for most government programs, you have to be dirt poor…and then what you get is not enough to live on. I sure could have used the food stamps though…that way I could have used my paycheck to at least pay rent and utilities.
I wonder how many more social programs Mr. Obama will put in that require the recipient to be dirt poor in order to qualify for them?

But when all is said and done, this country will elect the person who has served THIS country and has worked to effect real change in the Senate. That person is John McCain. Obama’s 15 minutes are done. I get sick when I listen to this video. It is sad that a person like this gets to decide who will be our president. obama will have his people riot should he not win…just like his cousin odinga in Africa when he lost the election.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. If Obama is elected, about 16% of the population is going to DEMAND he fill every patronage job (3500+) with an African American, every grant, contract, and decision go their way, and their piece of the American dream right now.
Whatever good intentions Obama might have (maybe enough to pave a road), there is no way he can live up to hype like this.
Colin Powell’s endorsement of Obama was the final nail. This election is now black versus white, period. Powell came up through the military where loyalty is everything, owes his career and prominence to republicans, and casually throws all that away simply because Obama is black.
I don’t think Obama is a fascist (or has any strongly held beliefs about anything), but I’m sure some of his henchmen are, and would like nothing better than to establish permanent black control of federal government. Maybe starting with his National Civilian Security Force. As the psych experiments of Milgram and Asch showed, Hitler and the Nazis were not anomalies of human behaviour.
