The Top Ten Reasons David Letterman Needs to Be Retired

Posted on June 10, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

3383424434_8152d51d64

(10) He is a demented, 62-year old pervert who thinks it’s funny to joke about a 14 year old being raped and forcibly impregnated.

(9) His show stopped being funny at least 15 years ago.

(8) He’s a pig who wears diapers.

(7) Living in a glass house where he refused to marry his girlfriend of many years despite fathering a son, Harry, with her, making the little boy a bastard for nearly 7 years, means this particular hypocrite shouldn’t throw stones at ANY family, for ANY reason, lest stones be deservedly thrown back at him.

(6) Where are the jokes about Sasha and Malia being raped by baseball players?  Where are the jokes about dirty watermelon pickers and greasy chicken fryers instead of “slutty flight attendants”?  If vulgar, sick racial jokes are never allowed, why are vulgar, sick misogynist ones?  If the First Daughters of the United States are clearly off limits, why isn’t a First Daughter of the State of Alaska?  Answer us that, Leftists.

(5) Would Letterman think it was funny if Conan O’Brien or some other Late Night jester joked about Letterman’s son Harry being raped at Little League? Where does Letterman draw the line, exactly, on whose children it’s funny to joke about being raped.

(4) What would CBS do if a rival network DARED air something as vulgar as (5) or (6) above?

(3) Calling him a pig who wears diapers is an insult to pigs, diapers, and pigs who wear diapers.

(2) How phallic is it that Letterman obsesses not just over rape, but of rape specifically by a large man with a giant bat?  That pervert has serious Freudian, Oedipal, anger, bad hair, gruesome teeth, you name it issues.

(1) David Letterman has a teeny weiner.

    The Palin’s released a statement:

    Todd Palin’s reads:

“Any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too.”

    - Todd Palin

    Sarah’s:

“Concerning Letterman’s comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he’d ever dare make such comments about anyone else’s daughter): ‘Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands – that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone’s daughter, contribute to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.’”

    - Governor Sarah Palin

But please, we need to keep up the writing and phoning until this man is off of the air OR at the very least, suspended.

Completely agree with you guys…the daughter line was awful as was the flight attendant one. Completely uncalled for and out of line. I couldn’t believe he said that. One question did he say raped or just knocked up by arod? Just curious and not that it matters, still completely out of line.

I’m no palin fan but to go after the daughter was terrible…I strongly object to family of political figures being dragged into this crap.

Expect some public apology but nothing more(realistic)

I don’t mean to split hairs, but Letterman actually has a

Todd Palin: the CIVILIZED world knows it, sir. And you are a better man than I because I would have flown to NY and let David Letterhasbeen HAVE it in the kisser.

    Hillbuzz: teeny weiner indeed.

    • Tammy says:
      2009/06/10 at 12:10 pm

That’s why so many people in Hollywood refer to Letterman as a
      “prick”.

I lived there. I’ve heard the stories about him. He’s a whining petulant little boy, and when he doesn’t get his way, he throws fits.
He treats his staff like shit, and doesn’t talk to any of his guests until they appear onstage.
      Jerk.

KEEP UP THE CALLS AND LETTERS AND MAKE A FOOL OUT OF THIS CREEP!!!!!!!

I suspect that First Dude Palin said a lot more that probably wasn’t suitable for public consumption. His statement displays the sort of terse “I’m biting clear through my tongue to keep from cussing you out and kicking you in the nuts” tone that I would imagine any man would feel over that kind of statement or “joke” being made about his daughter. No doubt Mr. Palin probably had a few ideas of his own about how to introduce Letterman to the business end of a baseball bat and Sarah likely talked him off the ledge so to speak.

ALL DECENT PEOPLE should come out swinging on this, hanging Palin in effigy was very very bad but this is beyond words. And the lefts are more concerned about the rights of a Frikkin terrorist at Gitmo than the a white female Republican Governor, listen up white women, its open season on us, we have alot of untapped power and MUST USE IT!!!

When Chelsea was in the White House and even Jenna and Barbara Bush the press did a good job of leaving them out of it. Why has the press crossed over this line now? Do they hate Sarah Palin so thoroughly that they have to destroy her 14 year old daughter? Does someone have a list of Late Show w/ Letterman’s sponsers. They should here how unhappy we are with David Letterman’s disgusting humor.

John Ziegler is doing God’s work. He appeared on CNN this am and obliterated the pea brain Contessa Brewer on why Sarah Palin was offended by Letterman’s comment. (Brewer acted as if Palin had no reason to take offense). In honor of his performance, I think I’ll go to Ziegler’s web site http://howobamagotelected.com to purchase the video he made on the election (I’ve been meaning to do it for a long time anyways).

    Oh, My Gods

After reading this I happened to go to to Huffpoo to see what they thought. If you weren’t disgusted enough by what Letterman said, you should see what they have in the comments.

Hardly anything aboout what Letterman said, but plenty about Sarah Palin’s intelligence and how it’s no big deal.

I live in Philly and the big story here is about an 11 year girl who was brutally assualted last week. And to hear this and Huffpo’s comments? What the hell is wrong with those people?

No…No emails to CBS. No half-assed apologies from Letterman either. I’m writing a letter – A REAL LETTER one that uses paper and a stamp and I’m including some of the comments I’ve seen. That network is dead to me.

    • Delle says:
      2009/06/10 at 1:44 pm

      I’m doing that also.

I somehow think that the e-mails don’t often get read. Usually an automatic response is sent back.

A letter, on the other hand, has to be opened and read.

Unless the folks at CBS merely throw them all in the trash!

      • TorchWood says:
        2009/06/10 at 1:56 pm

I’d expect them to which is precisely why I’m sending a copy (I know more stamps) his 3 top advetisers that Hillbuzz has thoughtfully provided in another thread.

    • NeeNee says:
      2009/06/10 at 2:02 pm

All this disgusting Palin Bashing aside . . .

I’ve always wondered why decent folks would keep feeding at the CBS trough.

Their news department is basically Obama concubines. And the lib lemmings have the gall to refer to Fox News as “faux news”.

It’s one thing for folks who can’t afford cable to be stuck with network news. But to use CBS/NBC/ABC as your only sources by choice is like deliberately ingesting poison every day.

Fox News employees don’t swoon when discussing conservatives—unlike Mr. Tingly Mathews and others. They just report the news. Other shows like Hannity editorialize, because that’s the format of the show. To discuss varying opinions.

I did a quick look at Facebook groups for David Letterman. The groups for people who don’t like him have a noticeable number of people who have joined, while the groups for those who like him have lost a few fans. And there are a bunch of comments about the vulgarity of the comments he made. I hope CBS keeps track of these groups because they will see that his popularity has tanked in the past couple of days.

  • neenee says:
    2009/06/10 at 7:03 pm

James Lileks, author of “The Gallery of Regrettable Food” (and TRULY a witty, funny man) addresses this Letterman travesty in his column today:

“We all have roll-the-eye moments when someone we like pops off, or an actor annoys you with a statement that suggests he’s conflated his larger-than-life screen size with the wisdom of Moses. But smug, politically-oriented crudity from someone not overtly political, delivered with the assumption we all share his “values”—boring.

“Addressed at kids of famous people: pathetic.

“People have used other words—disgusting, repellent, abominable, danker than the fetid breath of the nine-bladder’d Arazon, Privy-Cleaner of Hell, et cetera – but pathetic is all I can muster.

“But no, it must be funny, because David is funny and hip. Right? Or maybe not; maybe he’s actually a brackish, hermetically-souled guy who’s spend the last twenty years going from table to table with a giant wooden grinder, asking anyone if they want some fresh-ground scorn with that. Say when. Or maybe he’s about as edgy as a soccer ball, and exists only to remind people they were Edgy once, and hence must be ever-blessed with the gift of Wryness and Irony. With those shields we can never grow old, you know. We’ll always be as sharp and perceptive as we were when we were sitting on a cast-off sofa in college, working through a midweek buzz, happily fellated by the preconceptions the TV so charitably provided.

“Or so I remember; haven’t watched the show in years. I thought it was brilliant at first, but at some point early on Bill Wendell’s introduction stopped being Bill Wendell as Don Pardo and became Bill Wendell Intentionally and Ironically Being Don Pardo for Your Ironic Enjoyment. The introductory graphics got slick. Paul Shaffer morphed into this eyeless homunculus yes-man, like Ed McMahon on painkillers converted into handy portable Idol form (really, sometimes I see a picture of this tiny fellow wearing shades, grinning at nothing, and he reminds me of something Indiana Jones would replace with a weighted bag of sand before he stole it.)

“What’s amusing is how unamusing he is in the clip. How sour he seems. Compare him to his predecessors: Carson was all midwestern charm, with unreadable yet mannerly reserve; Steve Allen was almost as smart as he was certain you thought he must be, but he was cheerful; Parr was a nattering nutball covered with a rich creamy nougat of ego, but he was engaging. Letterman is empty; he’s inert; he stands for nothing except disdain for people foolish enough to stand for anything – aside from rote obesciance to all the things Decent People stand for, of course, all those shopworn assumptions passed around in the bubble.

“This posture was fresh in ’80; it even had energy. But it paralyzes the heart after a while. You end up an SOB who shows up at the end of the night to reassure that nothing matters. I think he may have invented the posture of Nerd Cool, an aspect so familiar to anyone who reads message boards – the skill at deflating enthusiasm, puncturing passion with a hatpin lobbed from a safe distance. The instinctive unease with the wet messy energy of actual people.

“Yes, reading too much into it. Really, it’s just a rote slam: If your mother is a loathed politician, and your older sister gets pregnant, famous old men can make jokes about you being knocked up by rich baseball players, and there’s nothing you can do. That’s the culture: a flat, dead-eyed, square-headed old man who’ll go back to the writers and ask for more Palin-daughter knocked-up jokes, because that one went over well. Other children he won’t touch, but not because he’s decent. It’s because he’s a coward.

“Oh, one more thing: it’s okay for David to say that because someone said something else about someone, and since I didn’t write about that, I’m a hypocrite. Just so we’re clear.

“Well, one more thing. Some say Dave – I’m sorry, the staff members who wrote the joke and had it printed on cards for him to read – thought the daughter in attendance was the older one who had the pregnancy controversy last year. This is possible; it also means that we accept as an excuse the fact that the writers confused the daughters they wished to humiliate.

“That confusion must be the reason the NYT left the joke out of its transcript of the monologue.

“One more thing: the monologue contained an Angela Lansbury joke. Dude is OUT THERE.

“Then again, there’s always Conan O’Brien, who thinks African-Americans are persona incognita in Wisconsin.

“These guys don’t get out much, do they?”

Letterman is a piece of shit! I’d like to see him do one of his man on the street interveiws now, he’d probably get his ass kicked. After just reading what D.L. said about Sarah Palin’s little girl, I switched the T.V. over to see what D.L. had on tonight. I saw a guy making fart noises with his arm. That David Letterman is a comic genius!!! If you’re a 3rd grader or a pedophile.

  • dogmama says:
    2009/06/11 at 3:17 am

Looking at that photo of Letterman’s frumpy baby mama, I now understand why Dave is so obsessed with Gov. Palin. He’s been trash-talking her for months, telling audiences over and over how she arouses him. I guess you can’t blame the sick bastard. Sadly, Regina looks like she was made for him.

And speaking of getting knocked-up…Why doesn’t someone confront him with the fact that he made Harry a bastard and kept him in that status for 5 years?

In addition to letter-writing campaign, I’d like to see an enterprising reporter with a video camera follow his “wife” and son around their town in upstate New York – asking them what they think of Dave’s perverted, misogynistic attacks on the Palins. Maybe same could be done with Dave’s mom in Indiana. He opened the door. Families are now fair game for amateur videographers – all in the name of comedy.

Send a complaint to CBS at the link below:

    http://www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.php

    I sent the following complaint:

David Letterman’s distasteful jokes directed at Sarah Palin and her 14 year-old daughter were at best disgusting. To suggest that a professional baseball player would rape a 14 year-old daughter during the seventh inning of a baseball game is sickening. CBS has been complacent on the matter, and as a result, I will not view any of their programs going forward.

  • Denise Maher says:
    2009/06/12 at 9:01 am

When is America no longer going to put up with this LIBERAL BULLSHIT//// Palins need to pursue a defamation of character lawsuit and also make CBS libel too. Maybe Conan needs to address Letterman and how sick he really is. Wouldn’t it be great if Conan ripped Letterman a new ONE

  • Fina Biscotti says:
    2010/03/30 at 11:43 pm

I used to like David Letterman. But considering all of Letterman’s crudeness – and believing himself to be funny – when he is absolutely disgusting, I was definitely going to say that David Letterman has a “teeny weenie” – but ya’ll beat me to it!

A person can only assume that Letterman – as a Far Left wingnut – intended to have a ratings burst – after his absolutely unnecessary filthy, nasty, dirty talk – about Governor Sarah Palin and her children – but instead it back-fired……

How unfortunate – for such an UGLY Man – to become known as just as UGLY on the inside!

None of the shows with Liberal loons and Far Left Wingnuts have rating increases – under the obama administration. Even AIR AMERICA bit the dust – when it was the Obama propoganda machine – funded by Gyorgy Schwartz/George Soros – as the master puppeteer of obama as his “bought-and-paid-for-stooge” – so that Soros could run the white house.

Maybe when other networks have to “downsize” – (as what recently occurred with ABC) – with significant JOB LOSS in the broadcasting industry – then everyone who swept obama’s dirt under the rug – during his campaign for president – will wish they had reported on THE TRUTH.

Obama, the Black and White Fraud – and all who love him.

  • Fina Biscotti says:
    2010/03/30 at 11:51 pm

Denis Maher – I agree with you – Palin shoudl file defamation lawsuits – against every network that devises nasty bullshyt – to discredit Palin and her family.

These far left broadcasting outfits – could use a few good defamation lawsuits – to get back to Real Journalism – instead of the goofball bullshyt – on behalf of Jughead that is Illegally occupying the white house – hi-jacked through the Vote Rigging schemes of ACORN/SEIU – that the Democrat Party operates to protect – and fund – as a Crime Syndicate.

Letterman should have gotten a good kick in the shins – for his crazy bullshyt – besides a defamation lawsuit.

But true to form – like every other Far Left – Liberal loon – all of a sudden something is happening to them – playing the victim – to get sympathy for their ill-behavior.

Liberalism is a mental disorder – besides the title of a book.

    Liberalism is people decomposing psychologically.

  • Fina Biscotti says:
    2010/03/30 at 11:52 pm

Liberalism is the mindset of people who are decomposing psychologically.
