UPDATE: Just found out that the asking price of the house they are looking at is most likely $35 million. Bobby Titcomb, the Hawaiian native who brings Obama “fish and poi” (that’s code for “weed and coke”) to the White House is most likely involved in the purchase of the estate on Oahu that the Obamas will most likely be moving into in January. Possibly watching Titcomb’s movements will give more clues as to which house, exactly, Obama will move to in January 2013.
UPDATE #2: Found it! Here’s the only property that matches all the clues we’ve been given. It is on the market for $35 million, which matches what Mrs. Robinson has been saying about the “$35 million house she’d be living in soon”. This estate was also featured on TV’s remake of Hawaii 5-O recently. Do you see how that’s a little in-joke that Obama would like…the “O” in the show’s name, like the “O” he’s used as his personal emblem since 2008? A man who named his dog BO, after his own initials, would love to own a house that was featured in an “O” show, like after his last name. UPDATE #3 – Weird coincidence, but Drudge Report is right now running stories about the shootings that happen just blocks from the Obamas’ house here in Chicago in the area of Hyde Park. The whole city has gotten MUCH more dangerous in the last four years. This jives with what Mrs. Robinson told friends here in Chicago about her not moving back to Chicago and about the Obama’s Hyde Park house going on the market soon.

Barack and Michelle Obama will be moving to Hawaii in January of 2013 and preparations are now being made to purchase an estate in close proximity to land owned by the University of Hawaii, where the Obama presidential library and “political center” will be located.
Here in Chicago, it’s pretty obvious that Michelle does not want to move back to this city and its winters (for any reason) and Michelle’s mother, who’s been living in the White House with her daughter and her family, will be happily making the move to Hawaii as well.
I have a friend whose family knows Michelle’s mother; they have been crystal clear that the elderly Mrs. Robinson regularly says that she’ll be in Hawaii next year permanently with her daughter and granddaughters. There is neither talk of returning to Chicago to live nor of living in the White House for another four years — instead, there’s a sense of “it was fun while it lasted” coming from Mrs. Robinson in her talks with her Chicago friends.
Democrats are already working to locate an acceptable property in Hawaii for the Obamas to live; this land and its complex of buildings must be ready to move-into in January and must meet all the requirements the Secret Service demands since the Obamas will be granted continued protection, by law, for nine years after Barack leaves office. The Reagans, Clintons, and second Bush family all had their post-presidential homes purchased quietly on the side by friends when their times in office were coming to an end. The Obamas are doing the same thing now.
They are not talking about building a complex on vacant land because there is not time for that. They will need a place to live come January, and they are not returning to their home in Chicago that was purchased with the help of convicted felon Tony Rezko. Chicago served its purpose in Obama’s life and moving back here provides him no additional benefits. As a former president, he’d always be the second most powerful man in a town where the Mayor of Chicago is essentially a feudal king. In Hawaii, the Obamas will hold court as a new royal family on the islands.
Back in 2009, the University of Chicago showed interest in obtaining the Barack Obama Presidential Library and Museum (and Political Action Center) but all of that cooled when Chicago lost its ill-fated bid for the Olympics; those plans included the construction of parking garages and other support buildings that would have been centered around a temporary stadium that was meant to be demolished and replaced with the Obama Library Building. Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to the President, purchased large tracts of tenement land near the proposed sites of all this construction hoping to cash in with a huge windfall when first the Olympics and then the Obama Library were supposed to be there. But neither of these things is coming to Chicago now.
The University of Hawaii will host the Library, Musuem, and “Political Action Center”. Most likely, it will be called the Obama Center, like the Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Just like the Carters, the Obamas want to live as close to the Library complex as possible so Barack can hold court there, give speeches, and walk through a replica of his Oval Office to relive past glories (which is what Jimmy Carter does on a regular basis, FYI). This is pretty common for former presidents, actually. Both of the Bush families moved close to where their respective presidential libraries were built and the Reagans before them had a post-presidency life in close proximity to Ronald Reagan’s library.
The Clintons are anomalous for not moving back to Arkansas and living in New York state instead. The Obamas will resume the tradition of the former president living in a new home purchased quietly by friends and allies in the last days of his presidency to be occupied immediately after he leaves office and begins the construction of his post-presidential office and archives of his administration.
I’m not familiar with the real estate process in Hawaii, but I bet some of you who are industrious could start to look at transactions and available estates and note those that meet the following criteria for the Obamas’ new home:
* must have gorgeous ocean views and a private beach
* must be easily accessible via a short drive from an airfield, as Obama will want to travel a lot to give speeches in Jimmy Carter fashion after he leaves office
* must contain a main house with at least six bedrooms (one for Barack, one for Michelle, one for Mrs. Robinson, and one for each of the daughters); ideally the estate will have a separate in-law suite for Mrs. Robinson as she’d like some privacy I’ve been told
* must contain outbuildings for the secret service to occupy (as they will maintain a command center there for the family’s protection for nine years after he leaves office)
* must not have any close neighbors (or if it’s adjacent to another property, there must be high fences and some kind of barrier between the properties)
* must be easily accessible to a location where the University of Hawaii can maintain the Obama Library and Obama himself can work in his Obama Center
That last one is the big clue to where you will find a spot for their new home…since Barack Obama will want to be able to commute easily to the “Obama Center”, wherever that is built. He’s a young-for-an-ex-president man, so he’s got a good 40 years ahead of him to make use of that Obama Center when it’s built…and I imagine he wouldn’t want to drive any further to it every day than Jimmy Carter does to the Carter Center in Atlanta.
Where’s a good location that the University of Hawaii would want to build his library, so that it becomes a tourist attraction for Hawaii and also afford the University the Prestige of having it on a campus? The University will be picking up a lot of the cost of the Library’s construction as private fundraising for this project has thus far been anemic. In Chicago, Penny Pritzker has already started making soft calls to inquire if people would be willing to be generous to the Obama presidential library project and she’s gotten mostly polite declines (and some hang-ups). Someone who works for Penny told me that.
Figure out where the University of Hawaii could build this, and you’ll figure out the radius of a 20-30 minute drive (at most) for where the Obamas will have their next home starting in January of 2013.
Also keep an eye on architect Frank Gehry’s activities. The Pritzker family funded the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park in Chicago, which Gehry designed. He’s the architect that designs buildings to look like crumpled paper that has been wadded up into a ball and placed on a pedestal. The idea for the Obama Library building is for it to resemble the US Constitution as crumpled into a ball during Obama’s term in office. Frank Gehry will design it, Penny Pritzker will spearhead the fundraising for it, and the Obamas will be living very close to where it will be built in Hawaii.
The clues are there…now we just need to figure out where this will be.
It’s a place I doubt I’d ever want to visit, but it’s not sitting well with Chicagoans here on the ground that it’s not being built in Illinois because without the Chicago political machine Obama would not have gotten to where he is. But now that he’s there, and will be leaving the White House soon…there’s no more need for Chicago or Chicagoans.
Hawaii, here they come!

For some reason, I just don’t believe Obama is going to enjoy the adulation that he has had over the last four years as president. I agree about his roaming his presidential library to relive his glory days, but I think his requests to speak publicly will be few and far between. Granted, his rabid followers will be excited momentarily, but he really nothing to say and no one worth a grain of salt is interested.
People are going to be a lot more comfortable mocking Obama and his presidency after he is booted from office. He has already demonstrated how thin skinned he is. And, from my keyboard to God’s ears, when Romney wins in a landslide in November, President Crybaby just won’t be able to handle it. Worse, if there are riots because Dims are sore losers, the American people will have no stomach for Obama and Hawaii won’t be far away enough. He might as well go live with his Arabian overloads.
He’s been a useful idiot and has done the bidding of his handlers, but face it, he’s a nobody when he doesn’t have Soros and his ilk to prop him up. And we already know that he cannot sustain the lifestyle that the American presidency has afforded him though may be to do so for a hot minute. He will have to live off others, but what else is new? He doesn’t have the political savvy of Clinton or the “humanitarianism” of Carter. His narcissism is going to get the best of him.

I assume that, like his “Office of President-Elect” he will have an “Office of post-President” or some such nonsense. He will have a podium with some sort of seal on it. MSNBC, Current TV, CNN, and other ratings boat-anchors will continue to give him coverage as “The Real American President”.
It is sad really, like some shoe clerk trying to relive his glory days as a high school quarterback that had so much promise but failed so miserably at everything that followed. No one will want him. Kind of like Jimmy Carter. He started out as a good ex-President in the 18980′s working with Habitat and doing charitable things. Then he decided he wanted to be “relevant” again, and polish his foreign policy legacy, sticking his nose in where it didn’t belong, just to get the press attention. Now pretty much NOBODY goes to the Carter Center. They actually wanted the good people of GA to vote to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to build a light rail system in downtown Atlanta so they could have a little train to run from the GA Aquarium (a HUGE tourist draw) to the Carter Center and the MLK museum, which nobody visits. Thank God we voted THAT idea down!

As for his library and museum, what on earth will go in it? Everything is sealed or destroyed. WHAT??? A copy of all his forged documents? The tattered Constitution, ipod of all his wonderful speeches like he gave to the queen, Pic’s of him bowing, his two books wrote by someone else, composite pretend girlfriends, his prayer rug.

I suspect that, although at first, the money opportunities will roll in, over time, he will be largely forgotten.
Therefore, he may not want to fall into a common trap of the noveau riche – that of overbuying a house. A house is an ongoing expense – taxes, upkeep, lawn care, housekeeping. He may well find himself the first president to have to declare bankruptcy.

All signs are that the house in Hyde Park is being prepared for sale and that a house in Hawaii is being purchased for the Obamas and the mother-in-law Mrs. Robinson to live in next year.
It’s not long-range planning either…like “this is what we want to do in four years”. No, it’s more determined and purposeful than that, as in, “this is where we are going to be living in about four months”.

OK, I lived in Hawaii.
1. There are NO private beaches, Magnum PI notwithstanding. All beaches have public access.
2. On Oahu, which is where Obama is from and is the center of power in the state, there are basically three areas within 20-30 minutes of the University in Manoa and the airport: Kailua (where he vacations), Kahala, and the Black Rock area (near Waikiki).
Some more thoughts: the kind of property that you are describing is really hard to find on an island like Oahu, and if you are lucky enough to find it, it will be massively expensive. I can’t imagine them being on one of the other islands because only Oahu has a Neiman Marcus and a Harry Winston.

Okay, how does that jibe in with what I’ve been seeing elsewhere on the web, with speculation that Obama could declare martial law and cancel the election if it comes to that he would lose if it were held?
He’s not going to declare martial law.
I can tell you that my boyfriend Justin’s parents are really into believing things like this. They are also obsessed with the weird fiction that “Hillary is going to replace Biden!”. I can’t wait until four days from now when I don’t have to listen to that again from them.
Justin’s dad hears these things from some AM radio station in Arkansas that comes on really late at night, and a day or so later I have to talk Justin off ledges because his father has told him these wild stories. It is one rung below the alien conspiracy people.
Why not just go on and move to China? Surely his Masters have the perfect place for him. No reason to continue the farce…no, wait he and Mooch will still have the satisfaction of the American people supporting them in lavish style and that in itself has tremendous value to them. But, all-in-all it will be a joyous day when the vans pull up to the White House. But we will still need to be watchful of their activities. They are crooks after all.

Obama cannot unilaterally “declare martial law”. This is a canard that has been trotted out against every president for at least the last four elections. It’s designed to scare the gullible. Unfortunately, there are plenty of gullible people out there who are all too ready to take every rumor they read on the Internet as gospel truth. It appears in print, therefore it’s true.
Obama cannot “cancel the elections” either. As has been said many times, we had elections in the middle of the Civil War. We had elections during World War II. We had elections during the Great Depression. We will have elections in November. And Obama will be political toast.
The nation is not in a mood to obey whatever cockamamie orders Obama thinks he could get away with issuing, nor are the military. I think it’s BEYOND doubtful that a bunch of overweight, soft, lazy, unprepared agents at the DHS, SSA, NOAA, IRS, etc., would be capable of subduing 310,000,000 people. And Occupy? Those overflowing diapers aren’t capable of doing anything but crapping on police cars.

You know what though….Justin’s parent are smart people. His dad is a vet and his mom is a nurse. They also run a farm. They’re bright people.
But they get sucked into just about every conspiracy theory out there and have some radio show they listen to that fills their heads with spoiled pudding. It’s bizarre.
I think whatever show this is just has such a compelling speaker who makes them believe in stuff over the airwaves like the “declare marshal law” or whatever and because people don’t trust Obama they just accept he is capable of that and it could happen.
That does make sense, Kevin. Just like some of those silver-tongued (but black-hearted) televangelists I’ve read about, who fleeced seniors for their Social Security money . . . they talked such a good talk that they were able to persuade many people that they were telling the truth and had their best interests at heart.
I know you already know this, but I want to put it on the record anyway: Never in a million years did I have Justin’s parents in mind when I posted my comment. That would be unethical, callous and cruel, and I will never do such a thing.

And both Justin and his parents are okay with me talking about them. It was a process of getting used to all this. I never write anything that people I know personally would be mad about. But they love their conspiracies and aren’t ashamed of that.
I don’t think 80% of what they believe is true but I respect them enough to not say they are crazy or anything…I just don’t understand how they can believe some of this really outrageous stuff that they hear on the radio. I think part of it is because it’s dark, late at night, and they sit there with no lights on in their living room just listening to this stuff. It has an affect on them that I don’t think it would have if they were listening to it in their car while driving during the middle of the day.

I do hope you are right, but I don’t have your confidence that an orderly process will take place. Remember, Obama hasn’t bothered to follow the Constitution over the past 3+ years and Congress has allowed his usurpation of their powers; why would he limit himself now. And he’s a narcissist, unable to see reality. Finally, there is a segment of the population that dislikes Obama but will obey blindly because they believe the government knows best.

The only problem with that is that I’ve been told they are not building a place…the place already exists. The original plan was to build a place but that would have been for occupancy in 2017.
Since they need to move there in 2013 now that it’s clear to them he will lose, they need a place that is already finished.
UNLESS they are just going to keep renting that “vacation house” until they can build their on house on this piece of land.

The guy who died was Alex Okrent. They are just saying the autopsy was inconclusive.
Okrent had been a lover of Obama’s since Okrent was still in college. Okrent, Nick Colwin, Kal Penn, Reggie Love, and possibly Michael “Sig” Signator. Larry Sinclair, of course, too, but that was just a weekend tryst. Okrent was Obama’s sex buddy for like 9 years.
I think it’s strange that a more thorough autopsy was not done on a 29 year old man who died suddenly in a campaign office. But it’s “nothing to see here folks!” in Chicago on that one.
Is there any documentation or evidence of any kind that would lead to the conclusion that Okrent was Obama’s lover? I am not doubting what you say, but is there any other testimony or witness that could support this?

When a 29 year old man dies suddenly, I’ve never heard the autopsy left as “inconclusive”…which means “nothing to see here, folks”.

Plusif you look at some of the polls on their sites you realize they can’t add, subtract, divide or multiple, nor do they know up from down. Rasmusson keeps saying Romney and Obama are tied in North Carolina and in the same paragraph printed by them they say Romney has 49% and Obama 44%. I guess that is like Obama saying he reduced gas prices and insurance premiums.

Here in Texas more than 1 million Texans voted in a Senate Seat runoff, a surprisingly strong turnout for balloting that came during the dog days of summer. In Houston we had lines when the polls closed at 7pm…Ted Cruz won.

A good indicator that the Obama campaign is preparing for defeat is the crazed behavior of commentators like Chris Matthews. Another sign is the difficulty Obama has raising money. It is entirely plausible that the Obama people are already planning to leave in January.

It would be an interesting tidbit to share with my cousin who says that “Obama is the only president that has not stolen any money”. I do not see how they can afford a $35 million house when he and his wife are worth a lot less than that. He cannot count on speaking engagements since that is not regular income and most mortgages if income is not regular look into past tax filings. The address on the real estate listing does not jibe. If you google earth the address, it appears to me that the property address is not beachfront.
Where the Obamas have been staying when they vacation is in a neighborhood that is close to the intersection of Mokapu Blvd and Kalaheo Ave. The street is Kailuana Place.
The house is beautiful, on the ocean. There is no sandy beach in front of the house,mostly rock, so beachgoers could not easily walk by it.
Google Earth the street, and you will find a large beachfront property with ponds, jutting out from the other properties, and the beach ends there. That is the house. I think the address on the real estate listing is wrong, the pictures in the listing look like the house that the Obama’s stay in while on vacation.
It is next to Kaneohe Marine Corp Base, which has a golf course and airport. 30 minute drive to Honolulu in non rush hour traffic.
It has multiple buildings, and a wrap around pond around the buildings. It has a wall out front.

The girls can enroll in Punahou School, Barack’s alma mater and excellent place to attend. Michelle has Whole Foods in Kailua to shop at and theres lots of golfing to keep the game up. I most earnestly desire them as neighbors and not the POTUS and FLOTUS.

No, that is not the Paul Mitchell estate. Paul Mitchell estate is in Lanikai and it gets rented out. Lanikai is one road in and one road out, Mokulua. Lanikai is out by Buzz’s Steakhouse and Kailua Beach Park, this house for Obama is the opposite end of Lanikai towards the Kaneohe Marine Base. I lived in Kailua for 16 years and was 10 houses from the water of Kalama Bay so am a little familiar. I also saw the listing on Realtor.com with all the pictures and it was liasted about 4 – 6 months ago for $39 million, unsure of the status now but it was THE most expensive listing for Kailua.

The address on the real estate listing does not jibe. If you google earth the address, it appears to me that the property address is not beachfront.
Where the Obamas have been staying when they vacation is in a neighborhood that is close to the intersection of Mokapu Blvd and Kalaheo Ave. The street is Kailuana Place.
The house is beautiful, on the ocean. There is no sandy beach in front of the house,mostly rock, so beachgoers could not easily walk by it.
Google Earth the street, and you will find a large beachfront property with ponds, jutting out from the other properties, and the beach ends there. That is the house. I think the address on the real estate listing is wrong, the pictures in the listing look like the house that the Obama’s stay in while on vacation.
It is next to Kaneohe Marine Corp Base, which has a golf course and airport. 30 minute drive to Honolulu in non rush hour traffic.
It has multiple buildings, and a wrap around pond around the buildings. It has a wall out front.

The common answer I hear to this question is that he wrote a couple of books, and that’s where he got his money from. I think it’s more like how Pelosi got rich- from insider trading. Many politicians go in with no money and come out wealthy (if they ever get out). I also suspect that lobbyists line their pockets. This is why there should be term limits. These people don’t represent us; they have their own agendas. We should find out who they are and vote them out, too!

It sounds to me like he is planning his second White House in Hawaii, much like Lyndon Johnson had the LBJ Ranch as his second White House and worked from there 25% of the time. This way , Michele gets her wish to be out of DC and Obama can vacate his workload even more. How did he afford the Hyde Park home in Chicago? He bought it before being elected to Congress or writing the book. State Legislature and supposedly teaching nor a Community Organizer could afford that home in that location. Congress doesn’t pay enough either. He didn’t make money on the book till he ran for President. Now, how can he afford a $35 million home in Hawaii? His own tax return doesn’t support he can afford it.
