Ted Kennedy must be honored. The perfect opportunity is to build the Wind and Tidal Energy Project in Massachusetts and name it after him and his wonderful family.
Ted Kennedy must be honored.
An enormous amount of taxpayer money must be spent to immortalize the liberal’s great, mythic lion.
Since he’s not getting a pharoah’s tomb, and has been laid to rest below a simple cross like his brother Bobby’s at Arlington, a massive structure must be built somewhere so that no one ever forgets Senator Edward Moore Kennedy.
Such a project exists in Massachusetts that could not only spend a lot of money, produce a great many jobs, and permanently leave a mark for Ted Kennedy in this world…but it could also be a small step towards making this country energy independent as well.
For years, the Kennedy family has personally block a wind and tidal energy project from being built near their compound at Hyannis Port in Massachusetts. The project would have obscured Ted Kennedy’s views of the ocean, which he loved, but since Ted Kennedy is now, according to the MSM, enthroned on a cloud high above surrounded by adoring angels, there is no longer any reason the wind and tidal energy project should not be built.
Ted Kennedy is no longer at Hyannis Port…but just imagine the wonderful legacy of clean energy his spirit could create if only the Edward Moore Kennedy Memorial Tidal and Wind Energy Project was allowed to go forward. The whole thing could even be shaped like his face, Ozymandius-style, where it could weather in the salty air and stormy sea, like Kennedy himself through the years in the endless tides of politics.
As so many rush to force projects through bearing Kennedy’s name…it seems wise for Americans of the moderate and conservative persuasions to also appreciate the power of “Ted Kennedy Memorial” this or that.
Any project stalled, or repeatedly defeated by liberals, could get a sudden boost if it was renamed “The Edward Moore Kennedy Memorial” whatever, or designed to look like Kennedy in some way.
How could the Kennedy family continue to fight against something worthwhile to the public that would also be built in their royal honor?

Keep asking….if EMK fought for healthcare for all for almost 50 years….where the hell is it?
Ooooh, snap, snap, snap! Excellent thinking, HillBuzz! I’m all for this project. We should start a letter-writing campaign.
Hello Garlic,
How’ve you been?
I would donate to that.Ooohhh I’m bad!
Absolutely brilliant! I LOVE it!
Let the campaign for “The Edward Moore Kennedy Memorial Tidal and Wind Energy Project” begin.
Isn’t there enough shit named after the Kennedy’s already?
Just asking….

I just visited my family in upstate NY and saw hundreds of windmills soaring above the ground. It is really breathtaking to come up over a hill and be surprised by them. They are incredible-really beautiful.
The companies pay the farmers to rent the land, helping struggling families get by. The companies also pay the local town taxes and in some cases have even helped renovate decrepit buildings, turning them into badly needed community centers. It sounds like many poor communities in upstate NY are getting badly needed relief from these energy projects.
These windmill farms seem to be a win-win in upstate NY. Seems like they could be used in other parts of the country in the same way.
Aren’t the Kennedy’s giving their compound in Hyannis Port to the state to be used as a museum? Maybe they realize the windmills, they are a comin’.
If they’re giving the state the house as a museum, I hope they’re including a substantial endowment to maintain it. Otherwise, it will be another one of those Kennedy “gifts that keep on giving” like NO CHILD LEFT STANDING. If they do donate it, as a citizen of MA and a fan of Hillbuzz, I’d be happy to help erect the Mary Jo memorial at the gate.
Hoorah Samanthasmom!
LOL! Well, considering how much hot air politicians blow, I think it’s quite appropriate for us to name all of our wind projects after them.
I do remember the Kennedy’s opposition to having their view blocked and their pristine coastline dotted with wind turbines. I think that’s a real problem in the US, people want alternative energy, they want oil, but they want it all to happen in someone else’s backyard. It’s a snooty attitude, we’re entitled to the energy but someone else is entitled to the mess.
…Hillbuzz, I love this post, it is filled with amusing satire. But I have an opinion to inflict on you and it is this: please do not write any more posts about Ted Kennedy for at least a week. He is being eulogized in the MSM 24/7 I just don’t want to think about him anymore, for at least a few days. Just three days without endless articles, memorials, and monuments about Kennedies and the Kennedy legacy and the Kennedy half eaten steaks and the Kennedy underwear memorabilia.
Just a few days, I beg of you.
Brilliant!
You Guys ROCK! Xcellent idea….chuckle…
OT…But I thought you guys would like this video…Last line is a kicker….

Great idea, but I think it should be the Kennedy/Kopechne project, just so everyone will be forced to remember Mary Jo, too.
Healthcare insurance could have been paid for many families for years with the money that went into that three day affair. It disgusts me that some think they are better than everyone else. Does having money that your father made with the mob…bootlegging make one outstanding?
No, it makes them influential.
Windmills are noisy and ugly. They should be placed somewhere where they aren’t seen or heard. Kennedy is dead, so you can stop ridiculing him now. Move on to your next target, please.
That’s right he is dead.Take your own advise and tell the loony leftist Dems to stop glorifying and using him to pass their atrocious health care bill that will bankrupt this nation and the majority of us don’t want. That’s a two way street there woman6.Let the man rest in peace.
My post didn’t say anything good about Kennedy, I just said let’s move on. I think the Democrats use of Kennedy’s death to push healthcare is self-destructive, disgusting, and I’m against it and against Obamacare (as much as I know about it). So, Serena, don’t jump on me: I just think people shouldn’t waste their energy ruminating on Kennedy.
You just came across as one of Barky’s kool aid drinkers and I have no tolerance for any of them.I agree we need to leave old Ted alone but what’s the deal about moving on to your next target? Were you just being snarky?Hillbuzz doesn’t target any one unless they deserve it.
Windmills are ugly, and if the plan to install them throughout the Country doesn’t wake people up, nothing will. Eminent domain would have to be used, and taking millions of miles of private property from the current owners, will probably not even bother the Democratic Party , as it is step three in the Socialization of America…the first, taking over the private sector and strengthening the unions, the 2nd, the upcoming National Health Care….which is why moving on to the next “target” as you put it, won’t be easy. The liberals are going to push the Nationalized Plan through as a salute to Kennedy. Which will turn many of us against ever voting for a Democrat again. I personally would just as soon forget the man ever existed, and will be very much against not only the NHC plan, but anything named after Kennedy.
I think there’s a bridge in Chappaquidick that already has his name on it :p
Heh heh,
That is wicked funny guys
I’m just concerned that Obama will take advantage of any distraction.
