TAKE ACTION: Write to Governor Sarah Palin and ask her to run for president.
Here’s the address(es) I found online for Governor Palin (please correct me in comments if you know of any better ones, but these seem to be the most often cited mailing addresses for her permanent office…they are NOT her home addresses or seemingly private in any way):
The Office of Sarah Palin

Wasilla, Alaska 99687

Earlier this week, I decided to write a letter to Governor Palin asking her to run for president.
You can read the full letter for a detailed account of why I think Governor Palin’s being called to duty when the country needs her most, in much the way retired General George Washington was asked to return to a leadership position when he was the best choice to lead the country in a crisis.
History is being made all around us, folks. The 2012 election is not just about defeating Obama and the Left, but it’s also about taking on the permanent political class that’s comprised of BOTH parties (the Cocktail GOP establishment I write often about and the fools at the DNC who’ve allowed the Left to take over the country).
Governor Sarah Palin is the only person I can see, short of Congressman Allen West and a handful of other fearless patriots, who has the fortitude and strategic determination to do what needs to be done and face down the Left, the Cocktail Party GOP establishment, and everything the agenda-driven media will do to secure Barack Obama a second term.
I’d like to see Allen West as Governor Palin’s running mate next year, because with President Palin in the Oval Office and Vice President West traveling the country clobbering the Left and permanent political class in his own way, Americans would at last have an executive team that intends to GET STUFF DONE.
You betcha!
I want to ask you on a very personal level to write to Governor Palin today and ask her to run for President.
Give her a reason you want her to run and tell her briefly what it would mean to her.
Write down one thing you are personally willing to do to help her campaign if she’d agree to answer this clarion call.
I pledge to write essays and “TAKE ACTION! items” like this one giving people every idea I can think of to help defeat the Left and encourage everyone who reads my work to do all they can to defeat Obama, the Left, and all those that enable them.
What can you do to use your own talents for this cause?
Think about it. Pray on it a little. Then get out a postcard and tell Governor Palin about it.
You can write a full letter if you like, but a postcard works best, I think. Justin created the HB postcard pictured above just for this purpose and I printed it out and sent it to Governor Palin today (so, technically, she’s getting both a letter AND a postcard from a supporter here in Boystown, but you can do either, or, or both as well if you like).
I think it would be especially fun for you to send the Governor postcards depicting your home towns, the states you live in, or other things that mean something to you.
Write the Governor, ask her to run for president to rescue this country and restore the pioneer spirit that will make American strong again.
Think about this: if you write her, maybe she’ll never read it, maybe she’ll decide not to run anyway, but you’ll never have to regret NOT taking an opportunity to reach out to her and ask her to serve the country.
If you want her to run, you need to ask her to do so. She’d be putting her life on hold and committing her entire family to great stress and challenges with a presidential run.
If you really want her to put herself through this, take a few moments out of your day to put a postcard into the mail to ask her to run for the presidency.
Chime in below with the text of postcards or letters you are sending or offer advice to people who don’t know what they should say. I put both my letter and my postcard to the Governor in this post so that you can see what I did, but I would love to hear what YOU wrote too.
Don’t forget to let the Governor know what you are going to do to help her campaign as well!

This is a great idea. Thanks for the address.
Just wrote one note to each address!
Thanks for the idea Kevin…don't forget to write 'In God We Trust' on the back of each envelope!
I wrote to Gov. Palin back in 2010 and told her many things, including that I had her book, Going Rogue. Many months later I received a label with Sarah's signature on it that I could put in my book. Since I was unable to shake her hand or get her signature in New Hampshire, in spite of standing in front of her moving car with a sign in black and white that read, Run Sarah Run, I am comforted to have the label in my book.
Run, Sarah Run
Thank you. I had been thinking about doing this right after I watched The Undefeated, but got distracted with a number of things going on in life just now. This is a great reminder and now I don't have to search for the address!
Thank You Kevin!

Dear Governor Palin,
Like many, I was introduced to you during the 2008 campaign. I remember well watching the press conference at which you spoke. I cannot tell you how exciting that was for me. I was so down in the dumps with Obama’s big production down in Denver with the Styrofoam pillars and all the things I was finding out about him. But, as I watched you for the first time, I really gained hope that the Republican ticket would prevail after all.
In fact, that day, I remember telling my buddy Jake, an Obama supporter, that he’s in trouble now! He said, “You don’t even know her”, which, now that I think about it, is ironic because he obviously had no idea who Obama was. In reply I said, “within 10 minutes of listening to her speak I know her and I love her”! Of course he just shook his head in a smug sort of dismissal.
continued part 2…
Some weeks later, as I left my house for work, I noticed that just across the street at the Eagle Diner here in Eagle, CO, your husband Todd was meeting folks on the campaign trail. I think you were in Grand Junction at the time. I walked across the street just as Todd was coming out. I came up and shook his hand and wished him the best of luck. He heartily thanked me.
I remember these things now because for me, nothing has changed: Obama must be defeated and we need real leadership for this country. The Governor Palin I saw for 10 minutes for the first time in ’08 is the same Governor Palin today, just more Presidential than vice-Presidential. I have the same hopes for our country today as I did when I had the pleasure of meeting Todd, but now it is with so much more trepidation in light of our current “progress”.

part 3…
It is with this that I humbly ask you to run for President. Actually, I feel like a jerk for asking because you’ve been effectively “running” for 3 years, considering the length of your “vetting process”. But I know how these things affect one’s family and to what deprived depths your opponents will sink to try to dissuade you. It is because of the unfair attacks that so many supporters like me would respect and understand a decision not to run. In that case we would look forward to what God has in store for you.
But still I ask. I would regret it if I didn’t. Thank you for inspiring me and many others!
Respectfully,
Such a great idea. The postcard I'm sending is the "Run Sarah Run" postcard we picked up in
Alaska in May of 2010 when we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. Kept it on my frig ever since just waiting for the perfect use! I will tell her she is indeed the best hope America has. Thanks again for the idea and for all your good work on this blog.
