QUESTION: Has anyone noticed that ever since Obama and Kal Penn broke up, there's no more state media focus on his workouts or "basketball buddy" sessions?
Here’s something weird that’s occurred to us: when is the last time the state media waxed on for pages about Obama’s workouts, or how he loves “playing basketball” with all of his various 20-something male “buddies”?
Whatever happened to the Obama desire to rip out the bowling alley in the White House and replace it with a basketball court, for more “basketball playing” with young men? Shirts vs. skins, yo (or, as it would be played in Boystown, on a private court like that, jocks vs. c***s).
Remember during the 2008 campaign when Obama used to divert from whatever event he was at in Chicagoland, drive hours out of the way, then rush inside the random apartment of a man who worked as his “body man”, spend fifteen minutes inside, and the media would say that he had “gotten in a quick workout”?
Whatever happened to all that reporting on his “workouts”?
Why did that suddenly stop…right around the time that Kal Penn (who had abruptly left his job on a hit TV show to come to Washington and work “closely with the president” in a nonsensical, made-up position created solely for him) left the White House and coincidentally had the ever-living-fear-of-God put into him near Dupont Circle (Washington’s gay district) when an “unknown assailant” robbed him at gunpoint?
Did Obama get tired of the “workouts” and the “basketball playing” at the same time he got tired of Kal Penn?
Or does the timing of the media’s sudden lack of interest in all this male bonding have anything to do with the fact that this was all right about the time Globe Magazine started reporting on Obama’s adventures at Man’s Country in Andersonville here in Chicago…which lend great credence to everything Larry Sinclair and others have said about Obama since 2007?
Today’s “reporters” are so lazy that we find it hard to believe they’d stop writing those “workout and basketball” fluff pieces unless they were told to. It felt like David Axelrod pushed that stuff during the campaign because Obama’s so naturally fey (just watch him ride a bike in mom jeans) that he needed him to seem more manly…but for all the good this did Axelrod should have just inserted Obama into an old Village People video and called it a day…hey, hey, HEY HEY HEY.
Macho, macho man, yah.
It’s so rare for the state media to change stripes on something like this…so what really gives?
