Ooooo-weeeee, Maxine Waters and the CBC are getting chewed out by their fellow African-Americans because of the high unemployment rate among blacks…and Maxine Waters has no problem respectfully throwing Obama under the bus. This video is from a town-hall meeting in Detroit but it sounds more like a black church revival …….
I wondered why Obama was doing a bus tour in the Midwest…among mostly white working class people. For the most part, white working class people are far less angry and confrontational.
These people are hopping mad. I’d be mad too if I lived in Detroit.
Of course, they’ll still pull the lever for Obama next November…..
Because he’s black.
No big surprise here. I really dislike this woman (and I use the term “woman” loosely). She is an arrogant idiot. Just look at the smug and condescending look she has on her face in the above picture. According to Jonathan Strong of the Daily Caller, Rep. Jackson Lee made the “Congressional Bosses from Hell” list. She may even be at the top of the list. I can’t imagine a more mean-spirited person in Congress. Apparently she is extra mean to her staffers who are black….does that make her a raaaaacist? I get confused if a black person calling another black person names is racist. Anyway, she is waaaaay more than a racist….she is a mean mean mean person. She reminds me of the evil Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland…
Here are some excerpts from Strong’s article…
A lot of politicians give nicknames to their aides. George W. Bush famously referred to his attorney general, Alberto Gonzalez, as “Fredo.” Mitch Daniels, then head of the Office of Management and Budget, was known as “The Blade.” Barack Obama reportedly called Larry Summers, his chief economic advisor, “Dr. Kevorkian.”
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas also hands out nicknames to the people who work for her. The Houston Democrat addressed one of her employees as “you stupid motherfucker.” And not just once, but “constantly,” recalls the staffer, “like, all the time.”
Another Jackson Lee aide recounts the time her parents came to Washington to visit: “They were really excited to come to the congressional office. They’re small town people, so for them it was a huge deal. They were actually sitting in the main lobby waiting area….[Jackson Lee] came out screaming at me over a scheduling change. Called me a ’stupid idiot. Don’t be a moron, you foolish girl’ and actually did this in front of my parents, of all things.”
Yet another staffer remembers requesting a meeting early on in her tenure to ask how best to serve the congresswoman. Jackson Lee’s response: “What? What did you say to me? Who are you, the Congresswoman? You haven’t been elected. You don’t set up meetings with me! I tell you! You know what? You are the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life.” With that, Jackson Lee hung up the phone.
According to the same staffer, Jackson Lee “would always say, ‘What am I a prostitute? Am I your prostitute? You can’t prostitute me.’”
Capitol Hill is famous for its demanding, insensitive bosses. Yet even by the harsh standards of Congress, Sheila Jackson Lee stands out. She may be the worst boss in Washington. “It’s like being an Iraq War veteran,” says someone who worked for her. Strangers may say, “‘oh I know what you’ve been through.’ No, you really don’t. Because until you’ve experienced it…. People don’t tell the worst of the stories, because they’re really unbelievable.”
For some, a job in Jackson Lee’s office proved not just emotionally but physically perilous. One staffer recalls a frank conversation with his doctor, who told him he needed to quit. “It’s your life or your job,” the doctor told him, warning that the stress and long hours were wreaking havoc on his body.
Only a few on staff fought back. One of Jackson Lee’s drivers became so frustrated with her abuse the person pulled the car over and demand she stop: “She’s screaming and swearing. ‘M.F.’ everything. Finally I slammed on the brakes and told her to get the hell out of my car. I’m like ‘I can’t drive with you like this. Either get out, or you can calm down.’ And she’s like ‘you need to go or get fired.’ I’m like, ‘that’s fine. But I’m either leaving without you or you can calm down,’” the staffer said.
Jackson Lee then threatened to call the police and claim she was being held hostage in the car. But she finally did calm down when the staffer called her bluff, offering to flag down a Capitol Police officer to explain the situation.
Jackson Lee has always been quick to assign racism as a motive of her political opponents and others. In 1997, for example, The Hill reported that the newly-elected congresswoman asked NASA officials whether the Mars Pathfinder photographed the American flag astronaut Neil Armstrong had planted on the surface of Mars. When it was pointed out that the flag in question was on the moon, not Mars, Jackson Lee cited bigotry. “You thought you could have fun with a black woman member of the Science Committee,” her then chief of staff wrote in a letter to the editor.
Jackson Lee recently blasted a Pepsi advertisement shown during the Super Bowl in which a black woman throws a can of soda at her husband for ogling an attractive white woman next to them. “It was not humorous. It was demeaning — an African-American woman throwing something at an African-American male and winding up hitting a Caucasian woman,” she thundered from the House floor.
In 2009, she helped prevent Rush Limbaugh from becoming an NFL owner. “He does not represent the fullness of appreciation of athletes of all diverse backgrounds, no matter what he wants to pretend to say on his radio station,” Jackson Lee said.
In 2003, she demanded that more Hurricanes be named with African American-sounding names.
A former staffer recalls one revealing episode during the height of the financial crisis in the waning months of the Bush administration. Jackson Lee demanded a meeting with a top Treasury aide, even though she did not sit on any of the committees with jurisdiction over financial matters. As her car pulled up outside the Treasury, Jackson Lee told her driver to park directly outside the door.
Due to the proximity of the Treasury Department’s headquarters to the White House, Secret Service officers told the driver not to park there. After an argument with the agents, who kept telling the driver to back off, Jackson Lee finally emerged from the building.
As the car drove away, a Secret Service van flashed its lights behind them. “Keep driving,” Jackson Lee told her staffer. Ultimately, the driver pulled over in defiance of the boss’s wishes. At this point, Jackson Lee emerged from the car, screaming, “I’m Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee! Who do you think you are?” to a team of Secret Service agents.
Jackson Lee accused the “white” agent at the gate of racism, claiming she wouldn’t have to deal with “this stuff” when Barack Obama became president. She then filed a formal complaint with the Secret Service, which prompted an investigation. A Treasury official later explained that the accusation had been dismissed because the agent in question was Hispanic, not white.
Given Jackson Lee’s apparent touchiness on racial questions, there’s a certain irony in the fact that aides claim she is far harsher to the African Americans who work for her. “’You stupid mother-effer’ was like a constant,” says one. “Like, all the time. But the interesting thing is she would really project that behavior more towards her African American staffers. She would have other ethnic groups in the office, like interns or whatnot. But it was really her African American staffers who she felt comfortable enough to really curse out…. This is something we always talked about. We chalked it up to her just feeling more comfortable acting out her aggression toward a certain group of people versus others.”
ACTION ITEM: Research instances of the NAACP’s and Congressional Black Caucus’s bullying on behalf of Race Industry
One of the lessons I hope you all take away from this past week is that Democrats have a team of howlers, wailers, and teeth-gnashers ready to go at a moment’s notice, to fake protest and outrage over just about anything, once someone at DNC Headquarters pull the lever and sets these Rube Goldberg collections of oddball opportunists in motion.
The national media is filled with these people, who serve the Democrat party and its agenda while aggrandizing themselves as eulogists for the Left’s agenda, pandering to future space archeaologists in their attempts to seem right when the majority of Americans are “wrong” (in the media’s opinion) about the Left.
Then there’s the Race Industry, the Gay press, and women’s groups…all of whom toe the DNC’s line and use their respective identity bloc positions to aide Democrats by attacking Republicans from various sides.
Blacks call conservatives RAACIST no matter what’s been done that day, because it’s the one card they have to play.
Gays have a few more tools at their disposal, because in addition to flat-out calling conservatives homophobic and evil, the gay community masters humor and makes fun of conservatives in creative ways that catch on in the mainstream…so there’s a self-interested attack, but also a broader non-gay based area where gays create fodder for other Democrat constituencies to use as weapons against conservatives.
Women in the Left’s ranks, like blacks, are focused more narrowly, and tend to consume themselves wholly with abortion…to the point of obsession. Democrats are thrilled with this, because it keeps women from questioning what Democrats actually do to help them achieve economic and social parity with men, because abortion is the wedge issue that perpetually divides women into two camps and keeps them from every uniting for common benefit.
In 2011, a common goal for everyone on the conservative side of the aisle should be committing to the yeoman’s work of compiling all the instances of the black, gay, and women identity blocs shamelessly exploiting various tragedies, crises, and news events to push the Left’s agenda.
What the Democrats count on, time and again, is the public’s short memory and attention span. Two months from now, there will be a large swath of the population who will say “Oh, yah, I kinda remember something about that” when asked about Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ assassination attempt this last weekend. Already, I have encountered people who do not remember the Congresswoman’s name. Some think she was a Senator, and some think she was actually one of the people killed on Saturday. This is par for the course with the public at large and is never going to change.
HOWEVER, conservatives can indeed change their responses to the Left whenever Democrats next decide to exploit a tragedy for political game.
Instead of playing catchup, let’s take the time to do the hard work of compiling material to use to show the public whatever next thing the Left does to exploit a tragedy is just the latest in a very long stream of such behavior.
This way, the latest incident is the new tier, added on top of a staggering tower of evidence documenting and indicting the Left for the things it repeatedly does.
A great goal for all conservatives should be to shut the Race Industry down for good. Democrats exploit and abuse blacks for muscle and thuggery, racializing issues needlessly because these are the bells rung and signals given for people like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Henry Gates, and others to mobilize blacks to name-call, shout, and protest in front of buildings to terrify Republicans. Since the media aides and abets this, the Cocktail Party GOP establishment has long capitulated to the Jackson-Sharpton-Gates triumvirate of opportunism…lest the media call these Cocktail Party suits RAAACISTS! and saturate them with bad coverage until they break and give the Race Industry whatever it wants.
It’s blackmail and extortion, and it needs to stop. But won’t stop so long as the public is ignorant of all the times the Race Industry has employed these tactics before.
The NAACP and Congressional Black Caucus have long exceeded their usefulness to society and exist today as fronts for the Race Industry. The only public statements they make are to feign outrage over deserved swats at the Race Industry. When the Jackson-Sharpton-Gateses of the world do something bad, then get called on it, the NAACP and the CBC serve the purpose of taking to the airwaves to condemn the truthteller…lest the public have a chance to agree the latest Race Industry ploy is unacceptable. Because the NAACP and CBC still carry residual good will and posthumous respectability (even though they are ghosts of their former selves), the public at large automatically sides with them against whomever they are shaking down or threatening that day.
This needs to stop, and will only stop if the public sees the big picture regarding what both organizations have been up to the last, oh, 30 years or so.
Since the 1980s, at least, neither organization has concerned itself with combatting racism or helping black people advance either financially or socially; instead, both the NAACP and the CBC have served as nothing more than cover for the Race Industry to lend credence and gravitas to the latest ridiculous shakedown by Jackson-Sharpton-Gates.
This won’t stop until someone compiles a workable and always-ready response to them that clearly identifies how shamelessly opportunistic these people are, and how often they falsely accuse everyone under the sun of racism when they feel that person is an obstacle to their newest scam.
Just watch when the Pigford Black Reparations scheme is investigated…the charges of RAAACISM! will fly fast and furious, increasing in volume and venom the closer investigators get to the truth.
Let’s be proactive and compile this dossier now…so we can all be ready to expose the NAACP and CBC on this point when we next need it.
I just can’t wait for Congressman West to call these grievance mongers and race hucksters out from within the racist CBC itself.
Go, West, go.
It’s clobbering time!
QUESTION: Will the Congressional Black Caucus allow Lt. Colonel Allen West and other Republicans join?
I’ve long wondered why every Republican in Congress does not submit an application for membership in the Congressional Black Caucus. Whether they are black or not, all of these men and women have blacks in their districts — and if the goal of the Congressional Black Caucus is to help black people, then why shouldn’t anyone who wants to help black people be allowed to be a member of this august body?
I remember that soon after Joseph Cao won his Congressional race in Louisiana he asked to join the CBC, but it refused him membership — because he is Vietnamese and the CBC discriminated against him based on his race. Because his district had a large black population, Cao endeavored to become part of the CBC so that he could better serve his constituents. His skin color, however, was not dark enough for the CBC. Apparently, there are paint swatches kept at the door to strictly enforce the rules of admittance.
Lt. Colonel Allen West would pass the “skin test” — but will the CBC allow him to join because he’s a Republican?
If the GOP was smart, it would keep the CBC busy as much as possible going through the motions of denying various people the right to be part of this body.
How much tax money goes to support this racist organization, rooted inside the House itself?
Any group that decides membership based on race or party affiliation should not receive tax dollars and should instead be funded by the Democrat Party directly, if it’s for Democrats only, or the Black Panthers, if it’s meant to be a racist organization for blacks only.
Just imagine what fun Lt. Colonel Allen West and others like him could have standing up to the CBC from within in and every day calling these people out for being as ridiculous and race-baiting as they forever prove to be.
Can West join?
Have any Republicans ever been allowed in the CBC that you know of?
Oprah Winfrey only came in 10th – TENTH – on a list recognizing achievement in an area she’s worked so hard for, and seemingly mastered, the majority of her adult life: celebrity flatulence.
This is more shocking than Chicago falling flat on its face with the IOC after Dr. and Mrs. Utopia gave long droning speeches about how much they wanted to have the Olympics near where they used to live, so that all the crooks they know in that neighborhood could make a fortune in real estate.
Maybe they didn’t cop to that last part, but it was there, hanging in the air silently, like one of Oprah’s own ripest zingers.
“Well, of course, that’s just RAAACISM!,” said the Rev. Al Sharpton when reached for comment outside yet another restaurant chain he’s trying to shakedown for donations to his diversity consulting firm. “Oprah should have won just as sure as Beyonce should have won and as sure as there should be Black Castle restaurants, and that’s why I’m here tonight, and that’s why Kanye should have one an Ignoble Prize too! Damn, dirty RAAACISTS everywhere!”
Rumor has it the Congressional Black Caucus is already meeting to declare Oprah the real winner of the celebrity flatulence listing…which would, sadly, be the most logical and worthwhile thing the CBC has done in a great while.
We love this guy. Representive-Elect Anh Cao (first Vietnamese member of Congress) asks to join the Congressional Black Caucus (the most racist group in Washington)
Representative-Elect Anh Cao, the first Vietnamese member of Congress, representing a heavily black district in Louisiana, has requested to join the Congressional Black Caucus in an effort to best serve his constituents.
The Congressional Black Caucus is the most racist group in the United States Congress: it has consistently refused to allow every white or Hispanic Representative who has tried to join, when those Representatives wished to serve their black constituents by being part of the Caucus.
Let’s see how the CBC treats Cao. We’re betting he’s refused membership as well.
No one should be able to cry about racism while practicing it against others.
