First of all, I believe that Barack Obama is going to give full and unconditional pardons to Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Huma Abedin, James Comey, Loreta Lynch, Cheryl Mills, and anyone else who was involved in either the Secret Bathroom Mystery Server or the Clinton Global Initiative’s criminal activities. Since Obama is the beloved historic and unprecedented first black president, ain’t nothing that he can do that would ever be criticized by the Lying Media. People decided they wanted to love him (and Michelle) no matter what and that ship has truly sailed. He could pardon every murderer in the country on his last day in office and no one would blink an eye.
Democrats will make sure that everyone in Clintonland is pardoned so that no investigations can happen. It would be smart if the entire Clinton family and all of their remaining loyalists would leave the country soon after the election and take up residence in Tahiti or somewhere far away…and live out the rest of their days in exile. That’s what would be best for everyone. Will they do that? I highly doubt it…but it would be nice if whatever pardons they received would actually have an exile stipulation to them.
Anyone who feels bad that Hillary Clinton will not be the first female US president needs to stop and appreciate the fact that all of this is Hillary’s own damn fault. She is going to lose this election next week…and it’s really all because of her asinine decision to create that Secret Bathroom Mystery Server.
We may never know what she was up to with that, but it was clearly for something illegal she was doing with the damn Clinton Foundation. We really don’t need to go any further than that. We don’t have to waste time figuring out WHY she did any of these stupid and illegal things. Her motivation and intent do not matter. The simple fact is that Hillary Clinton did things that Richard Nixon never dreamed of…and all of this is costing her the presidency she felt she was destined for. It’s her own damn fault.
Hillary was gifted something incredible in 2008: after her determined and tenacious battle for the nomination against Obama, Republicans begrudgingly liked her…even admired her a little. She proved herself to be a fighter. It was incredible. After suffering defeat at the hands of Obama, the Lying Media, and the DNC, Hillary became sympathetic to a lot of people who hated her guts for decades. It was a miracle.
Truly, she should have stayed in the Senate and kept working hard for her constituents in New York. There would have been a lot less temptation for her or her crooked husband to get involved in whatever shenanigans they got up to when she moved her offices to Foggy Bottom. She squandered the last eight years…believing she was untouchable and that she could get away with anything.
I’m not sad about any of this any longer. I feel no sympathy for Hillary after learning about Huma Abedin hiding a laptop from the FBI…which seems to have contained over 650,000 emails that the FBI was specifically looking for. The fact that Hillary apparently arranged for Huma and Anthony Weiner to start dating just makes all of this more sick. So…the Clintons wanted Huma to be with that pervert for some reason. They encouraged that relationship for some purpose. It seems like it was part of a plan for Huma to put things onto a laptop that Weiner had access to. I think there are bigger things going on that we may never fully understand…but there must be some explanation for why the Clintons wanted to keep Weiner around when any sane person would have had him exiled YEARS ago.
It is exhausting even thinking about what Weiner’s true role in all the Clintons’ corruption could be. But it’s clear there is deep corruption. It’s also clear that Hillary makes terrible decisions and that Huma Abedin is a criminal who clearly lied to the FBI. She said she turned over all her devices…but not it’s been proven that she didn’t. She said that she did not save materials…but they were all found on that laptop. She said she didn’t give access to these confidential things to anyone else…but her husband, a deranged sexual pervert, had ready access to all of it.
This is all so much worse than anything that Scooter Libby did during the Valerie Plame Affair back in 2005. Huma Abedin needs to get fitted for an orange jumpsuit. Anthony Weiner needs to go to prison. So many high-ranking Democrats need to go to prison over all of this. And it is all Hillary Clinton’s fault.
It is her own damn fault.
Someone I knew in high school got busted for a DUI once. No one was killed in the accident and it was a fender bender, but people were injured. He had to go to prison for a while for that…and I remember people at the time crying and being angry because he was such a nice guy. I agree that he was a nice guy and I liked him very much…but he still made the choice to drive drunk and he got into an accident and damage was done. So, even though I liked him (and still like him), he belonged in prison because he broke the law.
I think there’s enough evidence coming out that Hillary and Bill Clinton both belong in prison. Realistically, that will never happen to them and they will indeed be pardoned. But America can no longer function as a republic if we allow the Clintons to get away with such obvious and clear corruption.
It really is time for anyone who continues to like the Clintons on a personal level to admit that what they have been doing in the last few years is just so terrible that it cannot be overlooked or pardoned away. They all need to be held accountable, including all of the crooks like Comey and Lynch who have made the Justice Department a laughingstock. It feels like America has become a Third World cesspool of corruption and that swamp indeed needs to be drained.
All of this makes me sick to my stomach and angrier than I can put into words. That anger will not go away until Huma Abedin and others start being led away in handcuffs and everyone involved in this Secret Mystery Bathroom Server scandal are at least brought before grand juries.
[Click above to embiggen: the lone Hillary Clinton sign I’ve been able to spot anywhere in Chicago.]
One of the strangest things about this election is the dearth of yard signs or visible support of Hillary in Chicago. This summer, I actually saw more people walking around with “Hillary for Prison” tees than anyone wearing Hillary-supportive gear. People still have their Bernie Sanders signs in their windows…and I see a few Gary Johnson signs here and there. But very little visible support for Hillary.
Part of it, I think, is that a lot of the visible Obama support was values-signaling, where the people plastering their homes or cars with Obama signage wanted to tell the world they were voting for a black man…because that proved they were good people. They were the smarties and YOU were the dummies for not drinking his Kool-Aid. And they wanted you to know that their house was a house full of smarties, where inside everyone was singing the creepy “Obama’s Going to Change It, He’ll Rearrange It” song to their cult-leader.
I don’t think anyone feels that supporting Hillary makes them a good person…and that’s her incompetent campaign’s fault. They didn’t do anything to make people feel that voting for a woman to be president is a big deal or something to be proud of. I think her campaign had a duty to TEACH people that this is something to be proud of because that would be a key to her winning. This is what campaigns are supposed to do: to give people a reason to vote FOR someone. If I had run her campaign, the slogan would have been: It’s Time For A Woman To Be President…which could be shortened to “It’s Time.”
I think that would have worked well for her. Personally, I feel in my gut that Hillary’s going to lose on November 8th and everyone will have a meltdown because no one on her campaign thinks there’s any chance she can lose. No one in the Media believes she can lose. And she is just this giant dirigible that they think is coming in for this safe landing and they have the champagne on ice and all their gowns picked out for the big party…and I just think it’s going to be KABOOM! and the Hilldenburg is going to crash and burn.
It all makes me sad for this brief moment, but then it becomes obvious to me that her campaign’s own hubris and stupidity is behind all this…and that probably works out to be a huge blessing for America. Hillary sold her soul to the Devil in the form of George Soros and his globalists and I think the American people realize that voting for her means erasing our borders and surrendering our sovereignty. Democrats want to completely replace the American population with colonists from the Third World because Democrats could never convince Americans that the Left’s way of thinking is better. So, Democrats ingeniously decided to just eradicate Americanism by flooding the country with millions of people who hate America and have no concept of liberty and democracy. These people come from the worst hellholes in the world and are used to powerful, totalitarian governments. Democrats want to make America into a hellhole and rule over “the New Americans” as totalitarians. Hillary has signed onto all of this like she is Eva Peron.
[Click above to embiggen: On November 8th, one larger-than-life political titan will go down in flames. Either the Establishment or the Deplorables will win and nothing will ever be the same.]
We’re down to 25 days left until the most bizarre election in our lifetimes. Either the Hilldenburg or the Trumptanic will be annihilated on November 8th. The Establishment is pushing hard for the Clinton Restoration…while the American people are in open rebellion against the globalist elite.
Today I think it’s worthwhile to spend some time as friends talking about what forces are currently in play. That’s the first step towards wrapping our heads around what could happen 25 days from now. Let’s start with some assumptions and decide if they are safe to make.
(1.) ASSUMPTION: Did John McCain and Mitt Romney lose because millions of people sat home (since they were too disgusted to vote for either of those Cocktail Partiers)? This is something that no one in the chattering classes ever talks about and you’ll never read about it in any of the books that the Establishment puts out that re-write election history. But for those of you out there who paid attention in 2008 and 2012, do you remember people being so unenthused with McCain and Romney that they just sat home to teach the GOP a lesson? These same people — the ones who sat it out in 2008 and 2012 — seemed to get up off the couch and vote for the Tea Party rebellion in 2010 and 2014. Remember how the Establishment claimed that Democrats would win big in those mid-term elections…and then how shocked the State Media was when historic losses were suffered by the Establishment? Recall how Eric Cantor was eviscerated and humiliated in 2014, despite that toad being one of the Establishment’s favorite pets? There’s something happening that no one has been smart enough to really identify…and it’s all about people who hate the Wonder-Bread-and-Mayonnaise sandwiches that the Establishment tried to force down people’s throats in the last two presidential races. A great many people seemed to say, “F*** that! This’ll teach them!” Only, the Establishment never learns…and so those idiots tried to force Jeb Bush and then Little Marco Rubio on us in the primaries. People openly rebelled and demanded a pendulum swing as far away from McCain/Romney as possible…and that launched Trump.
QUESTION: Are all of the people who didn’t bother to vote in 2008 and 2012 going to show up this time, since Trump is the polar opposite of a Cocktail Party elitist? If we can agree that the assumption above is correct — and that those wins by the GOP in 2010 and 2014 are because the people who stayed home in 2008 and 2012 actually got up off the couch and went to vote in the mid-terms — then the question is whether those people will come out to vote for Trump this time. Logically, I can’t imagine any other candidate who could ever take on the Establishment the way that Trump is doing. If you hate the Establishment and John McCain and Mitt Romney made you sick, then I can’t imagine that you would be anything but excited to vote for Trump and watch the Establishment burn to the ground.
Personally, I think that Trump is gaudy and a little strange. Looking at other presidents we’ve had, I think we’ve had some oddballs occupying the Oval Office. I believe that Jimmy Carter is one of the strangest and most unappealing people to have ever lived. Trump’s hair and orange tan are off-putting and his decorating style is gaudy, let’s be real about that…but, man, just look at Jimmy Carter from that 1976 campaign. That was a special kind of hideous. And America decided to send Arkansas to the White House in 1992, with everything that came with that. So it’s not like we are a nation that holds gaudiness and/or weird looks against people. Trump also benefits because here the alternative to him is another four years of the Clintons…and they’ve proven that they haven’t changed much since 1992 (and just got older and both look like they are physically falling apart at this point).
These optics matter because I think there’s a weird balance that’s struck when the public considers how equally unappetizing Trump’s gaudiness and the Clintons’ sleaziness are when taken together. It all cancels out in a zero sum sort of way. To me that takes us back to who will sit out the election and who will be fired up to come out and vote. And I return to my premise that people will be fired up to come vote AGAINST the Establishment.
(2.) ASSUMPTION: Few people are super-excited about electing the first female president and doing so is not a motivator. Hillary’s campaign in 2008 made a conscious decision not to emphasize the “historic first female” part of her candidacy. I’m not sure why. Maybe because Obama was already doing the “historic first black” thing and Hillary thought she had a better chance if she ran as “just one of the guys” and downplayed the fact that she was a woman. She wanted to be seen as strong and as equal to the men. Maybe that worked and perhaps it’s why she actually beat Obama in the primaries with 18 million+ votes (and should have been the nominee if the superdelegates had not abandoned her). This time around, that catty and conceited campaign manager of hers, Robby Mook, decided to get very Alinksy and run a super-negative campaign…not an aspirational one where she focused on being the first female president. Sure, you’d hear people try to gin up attacks on anyone not supporting her as being misogynistic…and Mook is rolling out these October surprises to malign Trump as being anti-woman. But no one has ever made a classy, lofty, idealistic argument that it’s time our country had a female president and that woman should be Hillary Clinton.
If I had been on her campaign team, that’s the sort of campaign I would have ran for her. I would have gone back to the marketing done for Geena Davis’ old show Commander-in-Chief, which had great promotional billboards saying “A Woman Will Be President.” That’s actually the slogan I would have used for Hillary-2016: A WOMAN WILL BE PRESIDENT. None of this “Stronger Together” crap or that weird hospital sign she uses, with the H-with-an-arrow-through-it (that looks just like the road signs directing you to a hospital on the interstate). At this point, no one should ever feel bad for Hillary Clinton about anything because of the weird things she’s done in recent years to violate the public’s trust…but even those of us who poured our hearts and souls into her 2008 campaign should not feel bad about her losing this current election since Hillary Clinton clearly makes terrible decisions when it comes to her staff.
She was raging the other day about why she is not 50 points ahead of Trump and all I can say is that she picked the worst possible person to run her campaign, because Robby Mook is an idiot with pudding for brains. If they had hammered A WOMAN WILL BE PRESIDENT over and over again, I think they would have been so much more effective than doing this scorched earth thing where they just focus on relentlessly convincing people to hate Trump. This is clearly a “Change Election” and drilling in A WOMAN WILL BE PRESIDENT is one way they could have made Hillary Clinton be the change candidate. When the first female president is elected in the future, it will be a woman who is smart enough to use A WOMAN WILL BE PRESIDENT as her campaign slogan.
QUESTION: If people are not excited to vote for Hillary to make history because she totally bungled that part, can pudding-for-brains Robby Mook rile people up enough with hatred for Trump to head out to vote against him? I don’t think hatred is ever a motivator for people to actually do something constructive or time-consuming. The Left uses hatred to rev black people up with that Black Lives Matter garbage, but all that does is get people to riot and burn down their own neighborhoods. So, hatred as a motivator can encourage people to commit violence. But, can hatred make them go out into the cold and stand in line for 30 minutes to an hour and then go through the trouble of voting? I was very motivated on September 29th when I early-voted here in Chicago because I was so angry about what FBI Director James Comey did in fixing the investigation so that Hillary would not be charged with anything. I was truly angry at that man, but I don’t hate him. But my anger at him eclipsed any bad feelings I would have had if I didn’t vote for Hillary, out of old loyalty to her from 2008. I woke up early, got dressed, rode the Red Line downtown, went down to the Board of Elections early voting room in the basement of the county building, and stood in line to vote as soon as the office opened. Then I had to take the little electronic card, figure out how to put it into the machine, read a bunch of stuff, figure out how to cast my ballot…and then I spent about 20 minutes jumping through all the other hoops and doing all the checks they make you do to ensure that the machine recorded my vote the way that I wanted.
I don’t know how someone who is motivated by just hatred for Trump is expected to do all of this. If your motivation is hatred, you are acting on a primal/animalistic level like a cave person. You can set fires and smash things and bite and claw and scratch, but can you really use hatred as fuel to go through all the mess you need to go through to cast a ballot? And let me tell you, doing all this on September 29th was so much easier than doing it on November 8th when it will be an absolute madhouse everywhere. I believe that most people still vote on the actual election day. I avoided so much grief by doing all this early…but there was still grief. I had to be patient, fill out a form on a clipboard, deal with government workers, utilize outdated/backwards machinery, etc. I just don’t see how making people hate Trump is supposed to encourage people to come out and vote for Hillary.
Unless they are just trying to suppress Trump support and keep his voters at home by turning them against him. Maybe Mook knows he can’t convince people to vote FOR Hillary (or even AGAINST Trump) but he thinks that by scorching the earth he can just make people sit at home.
But, again, we’re back to Assumption #1 from above about who these people are that play weird games and stay home during presidential elections. If they stayed home to teach the GOP a lesson in 2008 and 2012, who would they be staying home to teach a lesson in 2016 if they fall for what Mook is doing? So, am I to believe that people who couldn’t stomach voting for either McCain or Romney because they were too Establishment are going to miss the chance to vote for the most anti-Establishment candidate we’ve ever had run for high office all because Hillary’s campaign found a tape of Trump talking about how much he likes having heterosexual sex with hot ladies?
(3.) ASSUMPTION: The Republican Elite want Trump to lose so that the Cocktail Partiers can stay in power, so they are rooting for Hillary to win since she will keep them in power (as they are all part of the same Establishment). I feel that this is the most safe of all the assumptions to make. There are so many critters in Republican ranks who would make an absolute fortune if Hillary Clinton becomes president…but whose livelihoods would be destroyed by a President Trump. And I’m not just talking about elected officials or political consultants.
One individual who deserves special attention is Ben Shapiro. This guy has been so blatant about his wanting Hillary Clinton to win because Shapiro will make a lot of money in the next four years writing books and going on speaking tours railing against Hillary. He’s probably got drafts of his next books already written. He knows where and how his bread is buttered and he is eager to nibble on that sweet, delicious, buttery bread. I think a lot of supposedly conservative writers want a Hillary Clinton presidency because this is something they have been masturbating at the thought of for many years at this point. It’s like in a horror movie when Jason or Freddy or Michael Meyers finally shows up, after getting false-shocks or mere glimpses of the fiend here and there for what felt like forever. Well, if these guys have done so well for themselves for this long with Hillary just threatening to become president, they are going to rub themselves raw with her actually fulfilling her supposed destiny (as a harbinger of the apocalypse) and finally achieving her lifelong goal. The books will just write themselves.
There will be endless Clintonian scandals as crazy as Filegate, Travelgate, etc. Not only will all the misdeeds of FBI Director James Comey come to light and everything else involved with those email servers be obsessed about for years, but with Bill Clinton running around like a loose cannon there’s bound to be all sorts of illegal things that he would do as First Gentleman, since he would continue to act like he is the president. If Hillary made so much trouble for herself and the country as the first First Lady to try to operate out of the West Wing, don’t you think that people like Ben Shapiro know that Bill Clinton moving back into the White House guarantees all sorts of malfeasance that will make book-writing easy-peasy for four years? I think all of these people believe that they will finally be able to impeach and remove a Clinton from office by having Hillary move into the Oval…and they just see her presidency as being a chance for nonstop fun and profit.
There is so much sickness involved with the Clintons, on all sides, that having Hillary move back into the White House is just a guarantee for endless scandal, investigations, and Shakesperean high-drama. So many conservative media outlets were formed during the first Clinton administration. Since no one was allowed to really criticize Obama because of his skin color, during the last 8 years a lot of people haven’t been doing as well as they would have liked because they were scared of being called a racist if they had gone after Obama the way that the Left went after Bush or the Right went after the Clintons in the 1990s. Having Hillary back in the White House would mean that the Good Old Days could return again and everyone could get rich with new books, magazine subscriptions, movies, podcasts, and whatever other lucrative things they could come up with to profit from the treasure trove of scandals to come.
They all remind me of impoverished witch doctors in some Third World country who had been struggling without any “patients”…but then in stumbles Typhoid Mary, bringing of all manner of plagues, and they all know they will be eating well and making good bread for years to come once she takes up residence in town and everything unfolds as usual around her.
QUESTION (And this is the big one): Is the number of Republican Elite who want Hillary to win (to serve their own financial interests) larger than the number of Bernie Sanders cultists who will sit the election out? Additionally, is it larger than the number of blacks who will not care about the election because there is not someone the color of hot cocoa, Hershey’s bars, or a caramel frappachino on the ballot? What about the decent and honest blacks who realize voting Democrat gets their community nowhere and so they are going to roll the dice with Trump and vote Republican for the first time ever? There are an interesting collection of variables in play that I don’t think we’ve ever seen before in a presidential election. Let’s take a moment and have a look at them:
I voted here in Chicago on September 29th, the first day of early voting in Cook County. I was one of the first people to vote once the polling place at the Board of Elections opened. The place was well-staffed, like they were expecting a stampede of people once the doors opened. But, I was one of only a handful of people who showed up that early.
Back in 2012 and 2008, there were hundreds of mostly black people jammed in line waiting to vote for Obama when I voted at this same polling place. They were there out of tribalism and race-loyalty, and I get that. The Left likes pretending in public that humans aren’t tribalist by nature…but of course privately the Left counts on tribal divisions splitting the populace apart so that we are all more easily controlled. Remember that the Democrats’ key to gaining and keeping power is pitting one tribe against another. Black people view themselves as a tribe, with great animosity towards white people and even Hispanic people..and so they were delighted to have someone with skin color similar to theirs to vote for in previous elections.
I’ve been down to the Board of Elections a few times since September and I’ve never seen the lines or excitement that I saw in ’08 and ’12. Frankly, I don’t know who is excited to be voting for Hillary Clinton. I’ve kept in touch with a lot of the friends that I made while working on the Hillary-2008 campaign and it’s a touchy subject when it comes to not voting for her this time around, since we worked so hard to snag that nomination for her when the Establishment wanted to give it to Obama. Back then, it was us against this horrible machine that used voter fraud, intimidation, and Alinsky Methods on Hillary’s supporters to compel the nomination be given to Obama and not Hillary. Here in 2016, all the dirty tricks are being used by the Establishment to drag her across the finish line because the Establishment hates Trump so much. Since I oppose the Establishment and believe it must be destroyed, I’m at peace with my decision to vote against the Establishment by supporting Trump in 2016.
I do, however, admit to standing there in the voting booth, staring at the electronic screen, and feeling sad as I was forced to finalize my decision. I was not happy about pushing the button for Trump/Pence instead of Clinton/Kaine. It felt strange to not vote for Hillary when this was finally a chance to vote for her for president.
When I later wrote about how I voted, I received a few nasty emails from fellow Hillary-2008 campaigners who were upset with me — some of whom claimed they “would never forgive me” or “would get me back” for not voting for Hillary in 2016. Politics is a truly messy business to get yourself mixed up in. Passions run hot, strong, and deep. People emotionally invest themselves in something political and get very worked up if that thing does not go their way or if events cause a shifting of alliances. Politics isn’t for pussies, to borrow from a phrase that the Left has flung into the air in recent days.
I never enjoy receiving nasty email, especially when it comes from people I consider friends. I took what they said to heart and mulled it over, but at the end of the day this is where I am as an American:
1. Back in 2008, supporting Hillary Clinton meant trying to keep the Democrat Party in the center and to stop the Left from taking over. We lost that fight and the Democrats are now a far-left party that wants to do things to radically transform the country and ultimately replace the American people with something else through floods of colonists from the Third World and an erasing of American culture. I do not want to see this happen and I oppose the people who want this transformation to happen.
2. The Establishment is an entity comprising both Democrats and the GOP Cocktail Party elite. These are all globalists who want to see America impoverished and our standard of living lowered. Democrats seem to want to do this so that they can run from on high…and rule over an ignorant, Balkanized people who will be weak, docile, and easy for the elite to control. Basically, they want to turn America into Brazil or Venezuela or some other Third World hellhole. The Republicans in the Cocktail Party echelon just want to be rich and to serve their globalist masters, which are mostly the corporations that want to flood America with unskilled, uneducated foreigners who will crater wages in this country. Hillary Clinton has made it crystal clear that she wants more foreign workers to come here to take jobs from Americans and to decrease wages. She also makes it quite clear that she wants to erase America’s borders and our sovereignty and hand our country over to the UN and other trans-national entities. She is clearly doing whatever George Soros wants her to do…and George Soros is someone who I view as a James Bond-style super villain with an evil scheme he’s implementing for the destruction of the West.
3. Hillary Clinton wants to bring more Muslims into America, but as a gay man I don’t want people to be imported into this country by the thousands who hate America and our freedoms. This is madness. I don’t want what happened in Orlando — where gay people like me were butchered by a Muslim — to happen in Chicago or New York or San Francisco. This is like a fairy tale where some fool wants to open a portal to Hell and allow hordes of demons to swarm through. Let the demons stay in Hell and be as evil as they want there. Why would any sane person want to purposely invite the demons into our world so they can murder and maim our people?
4. The way that Hillary Clinton handled herself while at the State Department and the things that she did involving that Clinton Foundation disqualify her from office. This is not the Hillary that all of us on the 2008 campaign thought she would be or hoped she would be. This woman is incompetent and she has proven herself to be a pathological and reckless liar. The FBI has proven itself to be utterly corrupt and undeserving of any respect, since it’s clear that FBI Director Comey intentionally hampered the investigation into Hillary’s email server issues and overlooked crimes that were committed. This alone is reason enough to vote for Trump, in the hopes that Trump will order an investigation of Director Comey and hopefully put that corrupt man in prison where he belongs. Everyone in our government who destroyed evidence or decided not to pursue justice for political reasons needs to be locked away. Both the FBI and the IRS need a top-to-bottom purging and housecleaning if the American people are ever going to be able to trust these institutions again.
I am so angry thinking about how corrupt our government has become that at this point I feel that I don’t need to continue with this list, though I could go on for pages. When I get to the part about FBI Director Comey, I just lose it. What he did at that press conference where he announced that Hillary would not face consequences for her actions just enrages me so much that any sadness I would have had about not voting for her is washed away.
I know that I made the right choice to vote for Trump instead of Hillary because it is obvious that nothing will ever be done about Director Comey if Hillary is elected president. Nothing will ever be done about the IRS or the other bad people who are running the FBI and Justice Department either. Hillary will protect all of the corrupt bureaucrats who served her and did her bidding, while Trump will investigate and prosecute all of them. Since I want to see these people all be held accountable for what they have done, there’s no other choice but to vote for Donald Trump.
So, yes, working on the Hillary-2008 campaign will always be one of the highlights of my life; it was the adventure of a lifetime, up against daunting odds, and I was in the thick of it with people I will always be honored to know. But, there is no way for me to overlook where we are in 2016 and the things that Hillary Clinton has done to the country, both as Secretary of State and as a political candidate whose family political machine has influenced high-ranking government officials to break their oaths of service to benefit her. We will never be able to move forward or to clean up the corruption with the Clintons returning to the White House.
The Establishment really does need to be toppled because the Establishment has become too obviously corrupt for this to be tolerated any longer. Donald Trump is the only person on the field willing or able to take on this Establishment monster. As such, he’s the only choice that anyone could make in this election if you are someone who wants America to have a chance to recover from everything that the Left has done to this country in recent years.
I want to close by sharing a comment that a friend left on another article on this site today, which is similar to what a lot of people are telling me. If you feel this way too, or if you feel similarly to me in what I have shared, I appreciate your letting me know. I bet there are a lot of people who are in this same boat with Katherine B. and me:
I was one of those people who passionately supported Hillary back in 2007-8 because I believed that she was more qualified than Mr. Do Nothing Aren’t I Wonderful Obama. I am amazed at where I find myself today – a Trump supporter.
As a female, I had wanted to see that great glass ceiling break and a part of me is still ambiguous about that. I wanted to live long enough to see a woman president of the United States. I live in a very, very blue state and were I to cast my vote for Hillary just to be a part of history it wouldn’t hurt Trump. Most of me, though, knows I need to vote where my conscience is taking me – to save this country from someone who could have cared less about the people who died at Benghazzi, who has enriched herself at the public’s expense, who will not fight illegal immigration and who thinks I’m an irredeemable deplorable just because I don’t agree with her. I find Trump to be clever, sharp, humorous and a fighter – something we haven’t seen in a long time in politics. How many times have I laughed out loud at the truth of what he’s said, i.e. “You’d be in jail.”
He resonates with me whether I want him to or not. She doesn’t. Her embrace of the BLM crowd is so off-putting and transparently calculated it repels me. So that’s where we are, or at least where I am, coming to the end of this critical campaign deeply worried about the future of the USA if Trump doesn’t win and the likes of Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney prevail, not to mention the Democrats.

There’s a great Open Letter to Paul Ryan posted by Jeffrey Lord at Spectator.org that is worth your valuable time today. The “too long, didn’t read” of it is that Paul Ryan needs to resign as Speaker of the House immediately. I could not possibly agree more.
Lord makes some compelling arguments that further gel some things that have been obvious for a while, but too nebulous to get a firm hold of. One of the best new terms he’s coined is “The Trump Rebellion.” I really like that term.
As Lord sees it, the GOP Establishment and the Left have pretty much joined forces against the American people, whom they all despise. Hillary Clinton and Paul Ryan are in the same cocktail party club…and everyone in there with them hates “the deplorables” (which is how these people all view regular Americans).
If you see yourself as one of the regular Americans and not part of the elite, then you really should think of yourself as being part of the Trump Rebellion. This has been building for a long time now.
I see in retrospect that it started in 2008 with those of us who backed Hillary Clinton then, when the Left pushed for Obama to be the nominee and for Leftists to take over the Democrat Party. The next phase came when people who didn’t like how far-Left Democrats had gone abandoned the DNC and became Democrats for McCain. Everyone who opposed Obama back then was called “racist” and other horrible names, because the Establishment had decided to go all-in with the transformation of the country the way that the elites wanted it. The Tea Party formed as a rebellion to this…and the Establishment used the IRS and other arms of the state to strangle Tea Party groups. Remember how the Media kept insisting that Democrats would win big in the 2010 and 2014 elections? The complete opposite was true, but our State Media’s propaganda was meant to depress turnout so that the Left could gain more power. In 2012, the GOP Establishment ran Romney but Romney never seemed to want to win and didn’t ever intend to be the guy who beat the first black president. The Establishment seems to have decided that Republicans won’t win the presidential elections and they do everything on all fronts to guarantee that the candidates who win the GOP’s nod are people who don’t intend to go all the way and win the White House. Why that is, I don’t know…but it’s clear that the Establishment enjoys keeping certain people in power and maintaining the status quo and part of that deal seems to be that Republicans have decided to become a permanent minority party, comfortable on the fringes.
It is so sickening watching Republicans work to elect Hillary Clinton. Everyone doing this believes that he or she will have a very comfortable life and lucrative career if they just continue to do what the Establishment wants and maintain the status quo. It is all about “transforming” the country so that the American people disappear and are replaced with Third Worlders brought in so that the big corporations can have cheap labor and Democrats can have votes. The deal in place with the Establishment seems to be that Republicans will lose elected offices but all of the big donors will get rich and the Republican politicians will find second careers on various boards or in appointed positions. They are all selling out the country and the American people to increase their own short-term wealth.
It is all so painfully obvious.
I think more and more people wake up to this every single day. But, people just don’t know what to do. The Establishment is trying every dirty trick it can think of to keep Trump from becoming President because they clearly believe he will dismantle the Establishment’s schemes. If they do succeed in stealing this election from Trump, I don’t think any of these problems will go away. Hillary will do what the Establishment wants her to do…which will be four more years of nightmares for the American people.
The anger is just going to keep building. I think it will continue to build until we are faced with a Second American Revolution, whatever that would look like. I don’t know how the Establishment can continue to enrich themselves while impoverishing regular Americans and continuing to bring in so many unskilled, uneducated, Third World colonists who suck up welfare benefits and eat up more taxpayer dollars. We’re at the tipping point where all of the hardworking people who get taxed to death are getting fed up with the money taken from them being redistributed to Spanish-speakers who scramble across the border to take advantage of the American people. All of this taking has got to stop.
The Establishment believes it is all-powerful and that with the Media it can control what people think and say. This handover of the Internet to the UN so it can be censored is part of their plan as well, but I think it’s going to backfire in a big way. It feels like watching some fool in a YouTube video messing around with a pressure cooker or deep fryer or some other device that is clearly about to explode, only the idiots manipulating the device have no idea that disaster is coming for them. Anyone with a brain can see they are in trouble, but they are so full of ego that they won’t entertain the thought that they have dangerously misjudged everything.
Are you angry about wha the Establishment’s done to our country?
Are you sick to death of what the Elite have been doing to all of us?
If so, I hope you have already voted for Donald Trump and that you work hard to get everyone you know to do the same thing. Join the Trump Rebellion. I sleep well every single night since I cast my ballot for him. It’s the most fulfilling and rewarding feeling I’ve ever had, voting for someone that the entire Establishment doesn’t want us to vote for.
This is just anecdotal and observational, but I find it interesting.
We’re in a place as a nation where I think everyone can agree that the elites are out of touch and that regular people on the ground detest the Establishment. No one has ever really been able to wrap their arms around what that means, precisely, though. This discontent has been building for years and years and has mostly been ignored. It’s always felt a lot to me like the pre-Revolution period in France.
In college, I took a course on the French Revolution that is most memorable to me because the professor never actually spoke to us, apart from reading word for word from the text book. It was the last class he ever taught before he retired and I think he just always dreamed of doing this as a joke or something, but the man never even said hello. He never asked us questions. He’d just come in every day, put his briefcase down, open the text book, and would read for an hour. Then, he’d close the book, pick up his briefcase, and walk out. Everyone got As in the class. For being grown adults who were read to by another adult three times a week for a semester.
It was the most useful college class I ever took. I wish I still had that book, because a good portion of it dealt with the discontent and resentment that led up to the Revolution…and how the people living in Versailles were willfully blind to and delusional about what was happening all around them to the commoners. The Revolution could have been averted if that disquiet had been addressed at several key junctures (and France would have the tourist draw of a glamorous, chic king and queen to this day, eclipsing any tabloid interest the world would have in the Windsors in that alternate reality). But the Establishment knew better and felt it owned the people…or maybe the bubble at Versailles was just too all-encompassing and thick to see through, let alone pop.
In the future, if some professor walks into a classroom and reads from a book covering this election, I hope there’s a chapter on the disconnect that the elite have about how people really feel about both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. I’m in the very strange and surreal position of having a lot of friends who sacrificed so much to see her win the 2008 nomination…and some of them want to see her win the election now. I enjoy Hillary Clinton as a historical figure but I don’t admire her the way I used to. I never thought she was perfect, but I used to think she was smart and clever. I admired her resilience and ability to turn things around on her opponents. When she was at the top of her game, she was Evita-grade political entertainment unlike any female politician who’d ever come before her. I hope that even her biggest detractors can give her that: we were alive at a point in history where Hillary Clinton was this larger-than-life force to be reckoned with.
The enormity of that is lost on most people, I think because the 2008 election happened eight years ago and Hillary normalized the concept of a woman vying for the presidency. I know that people roll their eyes when her campaign says this is a “historic” race because we all have “historic” fatigue after hearing how “historic” Barack Obama’s presidency has been. Democrats really made a huge mistake in deciding to have “the historic and unprecedented first black president” come before the “historic and unprecedented first female president” because they could have had Hillary Clinton in 2008 and they’d be running Barack Obama now in 2016. So they could have had it both ways, knocking out two historic “firsts.” Obama’s to be credited for gaming the chessboard in a way that he seems to have been guaranteed to be president at some point, coming at just that moment where social pressures demand that “history-making” event (at a time when Republicans were still so stupid to not be setting up a black presidential candidate of their own, like an Allen West, who would have made an awesome president).

I’m so troubled by this video of Hillary Clinton in some kind of coffee shop where she had a seizure episode while speaking to reporters that it’s worth giving it the Zapruder treatment and analyzing it section by section.
Section #1: Nothing weird is happening at first. Hillary’s wearing a blue pantsuit, standing in some kind of coffee shop, and she holds up an iced chai drink to her mouth and takes a sip. There is a bearded man asking her questions about Obama endorsing her. This part is actually funny because Hillary hates Obama (and the feeling is mutual), but the reporters are clearly all Obamabots and adore him (just look at the reporters…they are all the Ivy Tower-dwelling utopian types who still drink Obama’s Kool-Aid). Hillary then has to say something nice about a person she hates with never-ending passion, because she needs the Obamabot idiots to get what she wants, which is the presidency. It really amazes me sometimes that these reporters have jobs (and get paid a lot of money). The questions they ask are so insipid. They remind me of eager-beaver honor students at some prep school interviewing someone for the school paper, The Weekly Clamshell or whatever.
Section #2: Keep watching the strange-looking female reporter with the frizzy red hair (I have no idea who she is, but let’s call her Buffy. And her dark-haired colleague can be Muffy). Watch Buffy’s face as Hillary starts to do bizarre things. This reporter missed her calling in life: she should have been a clown at preschoolers’ birthday parties. She is whimsically expressive.
Section #3: The trouble starts 13-seconds into the video, when the bearded man stops asking questions, Hillary stops trying to pretend she gives a damn about Obama, and Buffy & Muffy start shouting rapid-fire at Hillary while jabbing their iPhones at her to record her. All of this activity (the noise, the rapid movements, the pushing of objects towards her) overwhelms Hillary and triggers the seizure.
Section #4: Watch Buffy! Hillary’s making weird faces, so Buffy makes weird faces back. At first it was involuntary and Buffy was genuinely surprised and shocked…then Buffy seems to think that Hillary was playing around and joking, so Buffy then plays back and makes weird faces too. The whole thing is so strange. I’m 40 years old now. I’ve been actively following politics for my entire adult life and writing about politics for almost 10 years now. I’ve never seen anything as strange as this Buffy-Hillary moment. Of course no one in the Media is reporting on any of this. But, it’s easily the strangest damn thing I’ve ever seen two people do in public. And I live in Boystown.

Today, make a list of all the latest twists and turns and craziness in this election (because we are friends like this and where I come from friends help each other make lists of other people’s craziness). One of the biggest problems with politics today is how oversaturated we are with information…which causes everything to blur, fall through the cracks, get lost in the din, etc. What I’d like to do over the next 96 days is keep track of every punch the Left takes on behalf of the Globalists and evaluate how effective each was…while also charting what the Americanist side did in response or rebuttal. My operating assumption will continue to be that this is an election being waged between GLOBALISTS (Hillary Clinton) and AMERICANISTS (Donald Trump).
Many Establishment Republicans are in the Globalist ranks and are helping Hillary win; to my knowledge, there do not seem to be any Americanists in Democrat ranks. Democrats are a party united behind Globalism. Independent voters seem to be Americanist at heart, but don’t seem to understand that term or realize what they really are. In my opinion, if they fell in line with Globalist thought they would be out and proud Democrats. I think the reason there are so many Independents in the first place is because Republicans have been too Establishment and that Cocktail Party ethos has alienated people who were gung-ho proud Americans under Ronald Reagan. Since the first Bush presidency, Republicans decided to be a party that a lot of Americans didn’t want to have anything to do with…since Republicans became a Cocktail Party for elites that just served the interests of Big Business. There was nowhere for people to go who loved America and wanted the US to be the best country in the world, dominating all others. So those people became Independent. What I believe we are seeing in 2016 is the first-ever confrontation of this Globalist vs. Americanist ideology…and the big question over the next 96 days is if Donald Trump is savvy enough to tap into this at a micro level. If he does, he could unleash a tsunami of support that could sweep the Globalists from power and tear down the Establishment and Cocktail Party for good. It’s a big “IF,” however…because the Establishment sure won’t go down without a fight and getting Americans to feel safe expressing their contempt for Globalism and political correctness will be very difficult. But not impossible.
Here’s a recap of some of the craziness I’ve noticed being covered to some degree in recent days:
1. The Democrat National Committee had to fire three top officials who were busted plotting with Hillary Clinton against Bernie Sanders to rig the primaries. WHY IT MATTERS: It’s rare for Democrats to fire anyone. Of course, these people being fired will have new jobs by Monday with higher salaries somewhere. That’s how life in politics works. But, publicly chopping off these people’s heads seemed to be needed to quiet down the Bernie Sanders Cult (BSC). If WikiLeaks has more DNC emails, it could reignite the anger of the BSC. Enough Democrats voting for the Green Party in key states could cost Hillary electoral votes she would otherwise have locked up if not for the WikiLeaks scandal regarding the DNC’s plots and schemes to rig the primaries.
FREE ADVICE TO TRUMP: There is real opportunity here to fracture Democrats by continuing to pound Hillary over how the primaries were rigged for her and how the DNC was caught red-handed. He should also raise questions about whether or not the NSA has Hillary’s 33,000 deleted emails and if the FBI can get those from the NSA to see them. He should say: “Come on. We all know the NSA has been spying on everyone and gathering up emails. They must have Hillary’s 33,000 deleted emails. Nobody believes she was talking about Yoga. Does she look like she does Yoga? You got to be kidding me. She does as much Yoga as Rosie O’Donnell does Yoga. I doubt the two of them were emailing each other about Yoga. Who was Hillary emailing that she doesn’t want you to see? Ask the NSA. They have the emails. It’s a mess what’s in them. Let’s see them.”

Recently, I took a drive up to Janesville, Wisconsin from Chicago to check out the walls that Paul Ryan has built around his mansion (which is an entire city block long). Just as his primary challenger Paul Nehlen reported, Ryan has built a massive wall around his estate (which includes a tennis court and a stunning amount of forested land). The compound is protected by multiple walls, actually…in addition to both iron and chain-link fences. The mansion also is dotted with observable white, round security cameras on the multi-story brick walls and is apparently guarded at all times by at least two black government vehicles with what appeared to be armed Secret Service agents inside. It is accurate for Nehlen to say that Ryan’s manse is heavily fortified, well-protected, and secure. Clearly no one would gain admittance onto his land without his permission, authorization, and by following all rules and laws for admission. In short, Paul Ryan’s mansion is the complete opposite of the way that the United States southern border is handled.
Ann Coulter will be appearing with Paul Nehlen in both Janesville and Kenosha, Wisconsin on Saturday August 6th to mock Paul Ryan mercilessly for living in a fortified palace with every security measure in place imaginable…while vociferously opposing building a border wall to give American citizens a small fraction of the protection that he and his family enjoy every day (at great taxpayer expense).
Throughout Paul Ryan’s neighborhood, signs supporting his challenger Paul Nehlen decorate the area. (Most Americans can only dream of living in a place this nice: almost all of the buildings are ornate, opulent, Victorian painted ladies with stunning gardens and streets lined with mature shade trees…it is like a neighborhood in a John Hughes movie.) Ryan’s immediate next door neighbor had a green and white “Ryan for Congress” sign on the tree lawn, but other than that most of the signs I spotted in the Courthouse Hill District were for Nehlen. The few locals I was able to speak with didn’t reveal who they were voting for, but said that Paul Ryan certainly looked like he was in trouble and that they had never seen him sweat an election like he is sweating this one. “It sure looks like Nehlen could pull this off. That sure would be embarrassing for Paul Ryan.”
One interesting thing about seeing his mansion in person is remembering a story that was told back in 2012, after Ryan was selected to be Mitt Romney’s running mate. The news media had camped out back then on St. Lawrence street in front of Ryan’s home on August 10th or so, waiting to see if he came home from something…because Mitt Romney was set to reveal his Vice President pick the next day in Virginia (and the media was also camped out at Newt Gingrich’s house and several other homes, waiting to see if they came home that night too…or if they were spotted at any airports getting into private planes instead). To fake out the reporters, Ryan came home and made a point to wave to everyone before walking though his front door. Then, he supposedly changed clothes, put on a baseball hat or wig or something, went through his backdoor, and then walked through the woods and over the ravine behind his house before crossing through a neighbor’s yard to where someone from the Romney campaign was waiting for him on S. Garfield Avenue. Ryan then got into the car and was spirited away to a waiting plane somewhere in Waukegan, Illinois, which he boarded for a flight to join Romney for the big surprise VP announcement.
According to ABC, Ryan grew up as a boy in one of the houses on S. Garfield street and had a treehouse in the same woods that he snuck through on his way to meeting up with Romney in Elizabeth City, North Carolina back in August 2012. Ryan’s sister-in-law stayed inside the Janesville mansion making noise, turning lights on and off, and basically re-enacting scenes from Home Alone to fool reporters into believing that Ryan and his family were still in Wisconsin. (I remember this working at the time, with reporters insisting that Paul Ryan had not left his house since coming home Friday evening.) In reality, Ryan and his family were hiding in a North Carolina Fairfield Inn and eating riblets from Applebee’s, waiting to drive to Norfolk, Virginia the next day…where Ryan emerged on a ship and was announced as the man Romney wanted to lose the 2012 election with to Barack Obama and Joe Biden. It’s weird remembering this now, but (in addition to Gingrich) at the time the media speculated that Condoleezza Rice, John Thune (remember him?), Tim Pawlenty (the guy who looked like Droopy Dog), and a handful of others were being considered to be Romney’s VP. Way back in 2012, Paul Ryan was actually well-liked because he would obsessively go on and on about the budget and wasteful spending and he was a Tea Party darling. So much has changed in four years, with Ryan becoming Speaker and being the poster child for caving in to the Left and giving Democrats whatever they want, especially in anything remotely “Globalist.”
I remember Ryan telling that story about his sneaking out the back door on some late night talk show, where he beamed like a little kid relating all the cloak and dagger efforts the Romney campaign employed to keep his pick as VP a secret until the big reveal. It would turn out that this was the very last of the Romney campaign’s efforts at ingenuity. They used up all their magic sneaking Ryan out the back door while idiot reporters camped in front of his front door waiting to speak to him back in August four years ago.
What did I think of Janesville?
Its a very lovely town, with a lot of quirky shops and restaurants downtown by the river. (As required by Midwestern tradition, I stopped at the border on the way back into Illinois after my day in Janesville for various flavors of cheese curd and souvenirs shaped like cheddar wedges and/or badgers.)
Ryan lives in the historic Courthouse Hill District, which is named for a massive Art Deco-looking courthouse building. The surrounding area has stunning old homes, which have either been restored to glory or converted into legal offices. From what I could tell, Paul Ryan’s estate is one of the largest, if not the largest, in all of Janesville. The area reminded me of Shadyside in Pittsburgh and also of the Mt. Hope area of Rochester, in that it felt like a place that had been very wealthy back in the Victorian days…then fell on hard times…but has been gentrifying in recent years and returning to past glories with a new crop of professionals and celebrities moving in. I would say that 90% of Americans cannot afford to live in as nice a place as the Courthouse Hill District in Janesville. It’s not Beverly Hills, but it’s a very Norman Rockwell-feeling kind of place to call home.
This is a far cry from the horror show that the Establishment and Globalists (but I repeat myself) have caused on the US southern border, where families living in border states have no protections like those found at Paul Ryan’s fortified mansion. Criminal invaders surge across our borders because there is no wall like the one that Paul Ryan built around his tennis court. Third World colonists by the thousands ignore our laws and tramp across the property of Americans living in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. Property owners do not have armed Secret Service agents in armored black vehicles deterring invaders the way that Paul Ryan enjoys such protection in Janesville.
Should a high-ranking government official like the Speaker of the House engage in hypocrisy as blatant as this? Clearly, the people expect government leaders to be protected…so the walls, fences, security cameras, and armed guards provided by taxpayers to keep Paul Ryan and his family safe are all needed and that is indeed money well-spent.
But Paul Nehlen has raised some valid questions about why taxpayer money has never been spent to secure our southern border and protect the American people from criminals invading from Mexico and Central America (and beyond, since ISIS has admitted to using our unprotected southern border to infiltrate the country).
Check out Paul Nehlen’s website for more information on how you can help him defeat Paul Ryan in Wisconsin’s August 9th primary. With a palace this nice and walls this high, Paul Ryan should be retired from Congress so he can go back to Janesville permanently and think about his hypocrisy in not allowing other American families to ever be as secure and protected as his own.
As of today (Sunday 7/31/16), there are 99 days left until the November 8th, 2016 presidential election. (You can read other Election 2016 coverage here.) Today was a lovely sunny day in Chicago and I spent most of it in a favorite park enjoying some sun, thinking about assumptions we can make about this race. Here are some of my thoughts (please add yours as well) on what we can assume to be true:
Assumption #1: This election is a choice between Globalism (Hillary) and Americanism (Trump). Whether people realize this or not (and I think Trump would be smart to make people realize it), the 2016 race has evolved into a real choice for the future of our country. We are at a fork in a road…where if we take the wrong path it’s pretty much also stick a fork in us, we’re done. Will Americans choose to continue to exist (by voting Trump) or will Americans choose to be erased culturally, numerically, demographically, and logistically by the Globalism that both the Democrats and the Republican Cocktail Party Establishment have been pushing for years? Trump is the only politician who has ever raised the issue of Americanism vs. Globalism. Can he articulate this well enough so that native born Americans can see that the election is the choice between the continued existence of the United States or the replacement of the American people and American way of life by Globalist forces? Democrats had plenty of people shouting in Spanish at their convention in Philadelphia that Democrats are the party most concerned about foreigners, bringing more foreigners into this country, and giving foreigners whatever they want (while making native born Americans pay for it all). Are we at the point where Americans’ hospitality is exhausted and people are ready to say: enough with the foreigners already!
Assumption #2: Hillary Clinton wants to be president because she wants to be president, and wants to be the first female president. The Media has been telling us that Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton would be our first female president since at least 1995. She will say and do whatever it takes to win because she believes this is her destiny and the Establishment has promised that this is her destiny (and that this election is just a formality). She will tell lies, she will sign off on dirty tricks, and the entire Establishment (including the Republican Establishment) is behind her because she has guaranteed that she will maintain the status quo as it exists now and continue the lurch of Globalism. Trump has said he will shake up the status quo and burn the Establishment to the ground in the name of Americanism. Can we assume he is telling the truth and, if elected, will he really do that? I believe that he will. I do not think he is lying or playing games. The hostility that the Establishment shows Trump every day confirms to me that the Establishment hates him…and by way of logic anyone who opposes the Establishment and wants to see it collapse should support Trump. He’s the only hope to bring the Establishment down. Who else in our lifetime has gone up against the Establishment like this? Trump would literally fire every Cocktail Party Republican AND every far-Left Democrat in Washington once he’s sworn in. I really believe he will do that.
