LAST CHANCE TO HELP: Support a great site for "Grande Conservative Blogresse" of the year:
UPDATE: As of 12/31/09, Cynthia is in fourth place, trailing Michelle Malkin by about 350 votes. Can you please vote for Cynthia to make up that distance and put her in third place in this poll. Coming in right in front of Michelle Malkin would be a big win for Cynthia, as Michelle’s an internationally known author. Cynthia is a good friend, so we would like to see her make the top three in this poll so that she gains more credibility and hopefully reaches a large audience. You have the power to help launch a new voice out there, who reflects our perspective as well and has been a great ally in the resistance to the Utopias and the Liberal-Socialist Party’s takeover of America. PLEASE VOTE FOR HER — and please ask your friends to vote too. We have just one more day to make a difference…only until 12 noon on 12/31/09. Thanks!
UPDATE: As of 12/30/09, Cynthia is in fourth place, and needs about 400 votes to reach 3rd place over Michelle Malkin. It would be nice to see Cynthia make it to at least #3. We don’t think we could get her to #2 or #1, but maybe if we all voted today and tomorrow, we might surprise ourselves. We think we could, honeslty, get her to third place. If just a fraction of you reading this voted for her, it would happen.
UPDATE: As of 12/29/09, Cynthia is currently in fifth place. We’d like to see her at least make the Top Three, so please vote for her and make that happen. All the people in contention are good, from what we understand, but Cynthia is the only one we read daily and the only writer we know, so we would like to see her at least place in this contest. Can you vote for her again today?

We’d appreciate it immensely if you’d support our friend Cynthia Yockey at www.AConservativeLesbian.com as she competes for “Grande Conservative Blogresse” of the year.
Yockey is one of our Must-Reads of the day, as she forever has an interesting spin on things — with great analytical insight. She’s a wonderful person too, and has always been a great friend to us.
If you have a moment, we know she would appreciate it if you’d click on this link and vote for her: Vote for Cynthia Yockey
We think it would be fun if someone we know and like won “Grande Conservative Blogresse”. She works really hard, writes very well, and certainly deserves it.

UPDATE: For some reason, GayPatriot’s site does something weird where the poll page appears and disappears, causing the links to break. If you go to the page, and there is no poll, just go to the home page on GayPatriot and it will be there. It looks like they keep bumping the thread up not realizing when they do that they kill all the things that are attached to it.

Hey guys, the link did not work for her site. I found it here.. http://www.aconservativelesbian.com/
Great site, thanks!
Voted. She’s in fourth place at the moment–more votes than Tammy Bruce!
Voting can be done once a day until 12/31.
Good luck, Cynthia!!!!!!!!!!
Oops…fifth place, but still ahead of Tammy Bruce. Pamela Geller is in first.
I voted for Cynthia each day and wish her luck!
Dang. Wrong avatar!
Since you asked so nicely, done!
(But I have to say it was difficult as I am a big admirer of Neoneocon and she is among the choices)
Done.
Done!
Done! And I will vote again every day till 12/31!
Have already voted—more than once. She is great.
She gets my votes too!
BTW – I nominated HillBuzz for several of the 2009 Weblog Awards- the finalists are supposed to be announced this week with voting until Jan. 4. Fingers crossed, Boyz.
That’s so sweet of you. We have no idea what the Weblog Awards even are. That kind of thing isn’t on our radar. But, it’s flattering when any of you do anything nice like that for us. We think it’s really sweet, and we do appreciate it. It is very, very kind.
Here’s the info on the Weblog Awards:
About The Weblog Awards
The Weblog Awards are the world’s largest blog competition with over 930,000 votes cast in 2008 edition and nearly three million votes cast in all editions since 2003.
For The 2009 Weblog Awards open and public nominations in 50 categories began on November 3, 2009. Voting for selected finalists is expected begin January 4, 2010.
It’s a pretty big deal to be able to be a Weblog Award Winner. And you guys really deserve the recognition.
Voted for Cynthia, and will vote every day til the 31st. Thanks for turning me on to her website. I first met you guys, when American Thinker recommended an article on Hillbuzz after the Fort Hood terrorist attack. I have been a daily reader ever since. Your honesty and regard for President Bush and Laura, touched me greatly. I have never been a great Hillary fan till I watched what went on during the runup to the 2008 election. She was a class act and handled herself with such dignity through it all. I became a Hillary fan like you became a Bush fan. They are good people, mean well, and love our country. I am afraid that is not what resides in the White House now. Thanks for your take on current politics; it’s refreshing. Love you guys. Keep up the good work. I turn everyone I know on to your site.
Hillary so impressed me during the primaries; I had not liked her before.
She seemed to be the only adult in the whole crowd (on both sides).
It also became apparent how much grace, courage and inner strength it took at some point to put up with the ugliness directed at her.
It is also turning out that Bill was a more practical conservative president than either of the Bushes.
Thank you, with all my heart, to my dear HillBuzz boyz and all the dear HillBuzz readers. I read HillBuzz every day but I never dreamed that I was a must-read for them, too. THAT is the highest praise! Again, thank you all!
I voted
And glad to know you can vote daily (from the original thread I voted from my PC, today from my phone). I thought only 1 vote per ip addy.
Cynthia has great wit…and dare I say STRONG conservative views (American views!!!)
Hope she wins (but was surprised to see ‘The Real Michelle’…Ms. Malkin listed as well.
Done. will vote again tomorrow.
Done will vote again tomorrow.
Yockey’s the bees-knees!
Man I love Hillbuzz but had to vote for Pamela Gellar. Gellar IMO is unmatched.
I voted for Cynthia, but I must admit that I agree that Gellar is unmatched. She is safely in the lead.
Just voted.
Sorry, but I voted for Michelle Malkin. I like her investigative skills, and her straightfoward, no nonsense ways. She says it like it is, and she isn’t intimidated by anyone. She’s got spunk! Pamela Geller would have been by second choice.
As for Cynthia, who I have never heard of before, I’ll start visiting her blog to see what she is all about. Nothing against her, but I just don’t know who she is.
Best wishes regardless.
I had to vote for Malkin, as well.
In all honesty, I don’t think Yockey can catch her.
Michelle currently has twice as many votes.
Hey guys — sorry about the breaking links. You are right — I’ve been trying to keep the voting post on the front page this week. But I didn’t realize it would change the name of the link itself.
Anyway, keep voting on the front page of http://www.GayPatriot.org !!
voted again today, will do so again tomorrow.
I just want you all to know how much I appreciate all of you — my dear HillBuzz boyz, the readers who are voting for me — even the ones who didn’t but dropped by to check out my blog. I am honored and grateful. Thank you.
For new readers: my blog is a mix of personal and opinion posts because I think conservatives, especially social conservatives, may be wary of someone who is openly lesbian and supports both fiscal conservatism AND equality for homosexuals, unless they can get to know her very well. So I do personal posts so conservatives can get to know me and feel secure that when I advocate something, I’m coming from a good place.
For 2010, my opinion post topics will include explanations of why the only way the terrorists can be defeated is by killing hate — and how to do it; how totalitarian movements work and how to defeat them; and why homosexual equality is for the highest good for everyone.
Hill Buzz has done an excellent job of earning the respect and linkage of conservatives, and I do love their work — and dear Pattymelt’s — so I have a track record of linking them whenever I think they have something especially important to say to conservatives. I will keep that up in 2010, especially since they are so smart about campaigning and it’s an election year with the fate of America hanging in the balance. We’ve really got to pull together.
And in between all the above, I will continue to do my best to make my readers ROFLOL.
Thank you, my dears! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I voted for you several times Cynthia. Your competition is fierce, but you have made a mark. Looking forward to reading you this upcoming year.
Ok, I decided to give one of my votes to Cynthia instead of Michelle Malkin. I just voted.
Done, but also voted once for The Anchoress. I do want to point out that Miss Yockey is way ahead of Ann Althouse and Althouse gets Instalanches almost every day.
Gay Patriot just closed the Grande Conservative Blogress Diva poll — the tallies were as follows:
Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs: 3,140 (45%)
Neoneocon: 1,646 (24%)
Michelle Malkin: 836 (12%)
Cynthia Yockey, A Conservative Lesbian: 500 (7%)
The Anchoress: 329 (5%)
Ann Althouse, who, as far as I know, has not repented of her vote for Obama:
149 (2%)
Tammy Bruce: 138 (2%)
Jennifer Rubin (Commentary Contentions): 115 (2%)
Fausta: 87 (1%)
I would never have gotten to fourth place in such worthy company without the loving and zealous support of my dear Hill Buzz boyz and the gentle readers of Hill Buzz. Thank you, my dears, with all my heart! We are going to work together and save America in 2010!
P.S.
When Gay Patriot announced this year’s poll, they said they would give awards to the top three blogress divas. How funny would it be if they suddenly cooked up a Miss Congeniality award for fourth place, which would be — come to think of it! — me. Not that I’m hinting that anyone ought to mosey over to their place and suggest it or anything ….
P.P.S.
How many of you just figured out the character in “Glee” I identify with the most is … wait for it … Rachel?
Surprisingly enough, we’re more Finn than Kurt.
Though Panda’s a whole lot more Mercedes than anything else.
After I wrote the P.P.S. above, I imagined every single one of you looking at each other and then saying, “Ohhhhhh! THAT explains A LOT!”
