Sunday Open Thread: November 28th, 2010

Posted on November 28, 2010 by Kevin DuJan // Hillbuzz

What’s on your minds this Sunday?

Are people around you talking at all about “net neutrality” and Obama’s power grab to shut down the Internet, especially anyone critical of him?

Does the general public where you live have any idea what is going on?

Do you think the invasive TSA gropings and the horror show that’s caused is really a cover for this Internet power grab?

The Left uses distraction and psy-ops to great effect…could THIS be what they were really up to?

Lori Byrd over at BigHollywood has a GREAT POST about tomorrow’s SP’s Alaska show:

    http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/lbyrd/2010/11/27/sneak-peek-meet-the-extended-family-on-tomorrow-nights-sarah-palins-alaska/

“The episode shows the Palin side of the family (5 generations) and what a big part of their lives fishing is. Willow celebrates her sweet sixteen birthday with a family party at her great grandmother’s house. The most powerful moments in the episode though focus on Trig and his teenage cousin Matthew who both have Down syndrome.

“Sarah chokes up and tears up (and so did I) when talking about her visit with Matthew because it gives her a look at Trig in ten years. She says she hopes that Trig will be embraced by others and treated just like the other kids and talks about how Trig is the heart of her family and how much he teaches them all. This is an emotional side of Sarah Palin that her fans have not seen — at least not to this extent.”

Will be watching with a box of Kleenex by my side.

All the objections to Sarah are starting to turn into background noise. She (a) is a commonsense conservative like me, and (b) is able to articulate her beliefs quite clearly.

All of the other Republican candidates are either a or b, but not both. For me, that’s a powerful motivation to vote for her.

She also seems to have been able to put her beliefs into action in Wasilla and in the state of Alaska. I was feeling positive vibes about her when she ran with McCain, and the vibes just keep getting stronger the more I see of her.

The attacks on Sarah Palin by the leftist stooges and Soros’s hired harlots of the media and the politcal bosses of both of our decadent political party establishments are are a very stale replay of the garbage hurled at Reagan. The vitriol aimed at Sarah is identical to the vituperatives and slanders suffered by Reagan or any charismatic conservative.
Both Reagan & Palin are/were ceaselessly smeared by the media, the elites, and the left as stupid, warmongers, hypocrites (Reagan had been divorced 20 years earlier, Sarah’s daughters are labeled immoral), their children relentlessly attacked, spouses belittled & dubbed brainless too)All conservatives are inevitably presented by the media and the ruling class pols as too unsophisticated to be president, hillbilly graduates of non-prestige schools, & of course inexperienced.
The left and the repubic’s cocktail party crowd always tell us who they fear politically and that is Sarah Palin as it was Reagan thirty plus years ago.

It’s nice to see I’m not the only one who gets up so early.

I’ve been noticing a trend in the news recently. It seems like both the left and the right are ramping up the Palin attacks. Not that the attacks ever subsided mind you but now more than ever.

The common theme with a lot of posters [I think they are all Romney employees] is the concerned-troll comments:

“She is a wonderful cheerleader for the Republicans. She should stay a cheerleader,” or, “I can’t stand the thought of all the attacks that will be dumped on her. Poor thing. She should not jump in the race.”

Please. Give me a frikking break. All the concern is so transparent.

First it was “Palin will be gone and forgotten by 2009″. That didn’t happen. Then it was “Quitting in Alaska, she is gone” That did not happen either.

Now is “She is having too much fun being a millionaire, she is not going to run…” Stay tuned!

H and I are getting a tree this year. We have held off for over 10 years due to having adopted the most evil, Christmas tree-slaying cat ever to walk the earth. I know that the cat will be in the tree no matter how I rig the situation, and I am just going to have to accept it and make accomodations. No tinsel, no breakables, no un-supervised lights. Ornament hooks twisted around the branches, and solid anchoring to the wall with hooks and filament. This cat has grinched her last Christmas.

      Ha! Too funny.

The grocery store here has a really cute Christmas display. They hung their tree upside down from the ceiling. There are presents up there too. Down at ground level they’ve displayed all their wine and chocolates. The upside down tree makes me smile every time I see it.

Have you noticed that during the 8 years of GWB North Korea was relatively silent? Even with two costly wars going on and Dubya wothout knowing what to do, the North Koreans did not want to provoke our president.
Now they are attacking South Korea and killing people playing with this coward president Obama.
Next is Admadinejah’s turn and believe me, this is what will cost this idiot the presidency, not the economy.

Hillary lovers are still trying to get her to challenge the False Messiah. Even there is a Facebook page. Stay tuned…

There’s a bit of a leadership vacuum coming up soon in North Korea.

I’m dubbing Michelle O the Queen of HAMelot, in response to democrats’ disappointment that the current White House isn’t a reenactment of the Kennedy White House. She has to ham it up to pretend she’s one of us (wearing her $700 scarves to feed the poor); their whole administration is based on illusions, lies and bullying, yet they pretend to be changing society because of their concern for it rather than their love of power and arrogance. It must be exhausting, being them. http://tinyurl.com/2axn3gd

I get the same response. A lot of people just don’t want to know. If it’s controversial, in any way, they don’t want to talk about it.

My sister even told me the other day…I don’t know anything about politics and I don’t care. Politics isn’t really my thing.

There’s this stigma against politics that keeps a lot of people from getting involved. Maybe we need a knew buzzword (no pun intended) that people can relate to more.
