Well first of all I want to promote my blog.

    http://usa-wethepeople.com/2010/11/dan-mitchell%E2%80%99s-comments-on-quantitative-easing/

    Thank you Kevin.

Second I would like to thank Jesus Christ that Kevin has the freedom to prompt his web site and thank you Jesus he is so successful.

If it wasn’t for people like Kevin who actually THINK this country would not stand a chance. Thank God Keven and other gay and strait Dems looked at how Hillary was treated in Texas and had the audacity and clarity of mind to ask “WTF just happened?”

That is rare. Thanks Kevin and the other Democrats who woke up hopefully not to late to make a difference in America. God Bless each and every one of you.

PS I will explore the real unemployment situation on my blog in the future but have been lazy. Will get to it by next week.

Even Seth Godin–Marketing Guru extraordinaire–thought of the day was about the TSA:

Groping for a marketing solution: TSA and security theater

There’s plenty of controversy about the new full body scanners that the TSA is installing at airports, and plenty more about the way some TSA agents are handling those that choose to opt out.

The heart of the matter comes from the fact that the TSA often doesn’t understand that it is in show business, not security business. A rational look at the threats facing travelers would indicate that intense scrutiny of a four ounce jar of mouthwash or aggressive frisking of a child is a misplaced use of resources. If the goal is to find dangerous items in cargo or track down Stinger missiles, this isn’t going to help.

Instead, the mission appears to be twofold:

    1. Reassure the public that the government is really trying and

    2. Keep random bad actors off guard by frequently raising the bar on getting caught

The challenge with #1 is that if people believe they’re going to get groped, or get cancer, or have to wait in line even longer on Thanksgiving, they cease to be on your side. Particularly once they realize how irrational it is to try to stop a threat after it’s already been perpetrated. (Imagine the havoc if someone had a brassiere-based weapon…)

And the challenge of #2 is that the cost of raising the bar gets higher and higher.

Smart marketers know how to pivot. I think it’s time to do that. Start marketing the idea that flying is safe, like driving, but it’s not perfect, like driving. If someone is crazy enough to hurt themselves or spend their life in jail, we’re not going to stop them, and even if we did, they’d just cause havoc somewhere else. So instead of spending billions of dollars a year in time and money pretending, let’s just get back to work.

    The current model doesn’t scale.

    TSA still burning…

I’m going to show my age, but anyone remember when George H.W. Bush went into a store and was fascinated by the “new” way clerks scanned UPC to ring up your purchases? It was grabbed and used to to show just how “out of touch” and “privileged” he was.

I think Obama just had his scanner moment.

“Obama admitted today during his NATO Question and Answer session that he does not worry about the TSA gropings because he does not fly commercial…But, he added that he had no problem with ordinary Americans getting groped by TSA agents at airports.”

What newspaper is this? Who is Frank Rich?

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/21/opinion/21rich.html?hpw

Seems like ridiculing and belittling Sarah is becoming more and more difficult to do. Rich wants to take the hickory switch to her (i.e. shameless lying) but the branch keeps slipping out of his hand.

Nobody knows what to do about Sarah.

    From “The Sound of Music”:

    BERTHE:
    She climbs a tree
    And scrapes her knee
Her dress has got a tear.

    SOPHIA:
She waltzes on her way to mass
    And whistles on the stair.

    BERTHE:
    And underneath her wimpole
She has curlers in her hair!

    SOPHIA:
I ever hear her singing in the abbey.

    BERTHE:
    She’s always late for chapel,

    MARGARETTA:
    But her penitence is real.

    BERTHE:
    She’s always late for everything,
    Except for every meal.

    MOTHER ABBESS:
I hate to have to say it
    But I very firmly feel

    BERTHE AND SOPHIA:
Maria’s not an asset to the abbey!

    MARGARETTA:
I’d like to say a word in her behalf.
    Maria makes me laugh!

    SOPHIA:
How do you solve a problem like Maria?

    MOTHER ABBESS:
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?

    MARGARETTA:
How do you find a word that means Maria?

    BERTHE:
    A flibberti gibbet!

    SOPHIA:
    A willo’ the wisp!

    MARGARETTA:
    A clown!

    MOTHER ABBESS:
Many a thing you know you’d like to tell her,
Many a thing she ought to understand.

    MARGARETTA:
But how do you make her stay
And listen to all you say,

    MOTHER ABBESS:
How do you keep a wave upon the sand?

    MARGARETTA:
Oh, how do you solve a problem like Maria?

    MOTHER ABBESS:
How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?

    MARGARETTA:
When I’m with her I’m confused,
    Out of focus and bemused,
And I never know exactly where I am.

    SOPHIA:
    Unpredictable as weather,
She’s as flighty as a feather,

    MARGARETTA:
    She’s a darling,

    BERTHE:
    She’s a demon,

    MARGARETTA:
    She’s a lamb.

    SOPHIA:
    She’d out-pester any pest,
Drive a hornet from his nest,

    BERTHE:
She can throw a whirling dervish
    Out of whirl.

    MARGARETTA:
    She is gentle,
    She is wild,

    SOPHIA:
    She’s a riddle.

    MARGARETTA:
    She’s a child.

    BERTHE:
    She’s a headache!

    MARGARETTA:
    She’s an angel!

    MOTHER ABBESS:
    She’s a girl.

    ALL NUNS:
How do you solve a problem like Maria?
How do you catch a clown and pin it down?
How do you find a word that means Maria?
    A flibberti gibbet!
    A willo’ the wisp!
    A clown!
Many a thing you know you’d like to tell her,
Many a thing she ought to understand.
But how do you make her say,
And listen to all you say?

It’s not that they’re *trying* to lose the blacks. It’s that, demographically, Hispanics will be a far larger group – assuming current trends continue and it’ll be even faster if they get amnesty through.

Blacks and Hispanics don’t like each other, and the Dems have no problem choosing one over the other.

To me, it seems they have two problems:
a)Dems take the black vote for granted, so they aren’t inclined to woo the voters like they once did. They seem inclined to simply leave it to the race-baiters like sharpton and jackson to deliver the vote as demanded. A lot of blacks are starting to realize this; and resent it. And a lot are starting to ask why the dems don’t even bother to make promises any longer – much less attempt to keep any.
And b)The dems don’t seem to realize that hispanics, in general, tend to be a bit more conservative in their lives and outlooks. I don’t believe that the dems are going to be able to count on the hispanic vote as time goes by. The dems have driven too far to the left – and what they are doing is going to alienate many hispanic voters. And those voters are going to find that the “big C” Conservatives policies are a lot closer to their own beliefs than the democRATS. That’s going to be especially true if the TEA Party wins more races and adds more “big Cs” to congress — AND remains true to the principles that it first espoused back in 2009. (“Back” in 2009. WOW.)

All said and done, I believe that the democRATS have found entirely new ways to stomp all over their own yangs.

I’m not sure I’d use the term madness but it is interesting that these embers are being fanned into flame again.

Insider seemed sure that Pelosi would not be Minority Leader, but there she is. And the file she was apparently threatening to throw against the fan is still hidden.

What would it take to break her grip on that file? How lucky is she that she’s not watching grass grow from the root side?

And here, by coincidence is another view surfacing this morning at Lucianne:

      http://www.lucianne.com/thread/?artnum=580211

I find it hard to believe that this is just going to subside into wisps of smoke for the next two years. Given the air these various innuendos, including Chicago and the DOJ, are receiving, one has to think that a public conflagration will soon burst forth.

We need to send somebody out on a popcorn run.

there is nothing mad about the “birther” movement.

There are legitimate questions that have been asked and never resolved.

Regardless of where Barry was born, if Øbama sr is his father then there is dual nationality and there is dual loyalty and that means Barry is not NBC.

To be NBC the person’s parents must be USA citizens… not one but BOTH….

The real issue is that Nancy Pelosi signed documentation knowing that Barry was not qualified seeing that he is not NBC which means she committed perjury.

Well, as much as I dislike Obama I’ve got to say that sounds a little paranoid =) I know a lot of military people and they would be offended with people thinking that.

First, that’s not gonna happen. Second, public outrage will walk back this TSA intrusion.

Frankly, I’m beginning to think that there was some type of bomb threat that the WH is just not being honest with us about. If they would be honest and open with the people about what it is that’s going on then people would rationally say “Okay…well then maybe we should be really careful”. If the news media gave the terrorist threat SERIOUS COVERAGE then people would be more balanced about these extra measures. But no, they’re talking about the wedding in Britain instead. It seems obnoxious in comparison to the seriousness they talk about the threat of terrorism to begin with.

And they won’t profile for political reasons.

I think he’s too stupid to know what to do. He’s too self absorbed. He does not know how to lead. He honestly does not have the intelligence to take the situation and turn it around. If he were a true leader he would do the right thing but he does not know how. He listens to the people around him and those people have their own agendas. I don’t see this president as smart and in control. What has he done to turn around anything? I can’t think of one successful thing he has done.

Respectfully, I don’t like the Nazi references. Nothing compares to what the Jewish people went through. I don’t think it’s appropriate to try to compare Obama with the Nazi’s. We can use socialism and socialists, communists and marxists as an example without referring to Hitler or the Nazi’s.

The nazis and their Brown Shirts started out with doing “little things’
Once in power the first group the Brown shirts and the SS went after were Jehovah’s Witnesses. When the nazis succeeded murdering the Jehovah Witnesses without public protest they went on to the Gernman Confessional Church’s followers, the handicapped, mentally ill, euthanizing the terminally & chronically sick, Down’s Syndrome sufferers, the mentally retarded.
The Nazis until Kristalnacht 1938 had attacked Jews only in words.
Long before the nazis had in an organized manner oppressed, tyrannized, and mass murdered ever larger groups they attacked the weakest, fewest , and most vulnerable to test the public’s tolerance for the extr-legal.
The first step in getting a population to submit to tyranny is to desensitize them and the TSA’a actions what Ovomit and Big Sis have set out to do with little outrages such as strip searching a six year old, crotch probbing a frightened three year old girl, deliberately breaking the urine bag of a bladder cancer survivor, forcing a breast cancer victim to remove her prostheis, and imposing excessive fines and punishments on those who object.
The PC insanity and bureaucratic arrogance on display by the TSA has risen to the point where the only choice most of us have is to boycott air travel. The airlines have lobbyists who can oppose the tone deaf of the democrap party. We do not.
It was the mass economic boycott that forced the British to back off on their hideous illegal taxation in the period 1763-1773 that sparked the American Revolution
The methods the democorrupts are employing under Ovomit and his czars are fascist nazi tactics and if they are not so labeled and exposed we are all doomed.

You are 100% correct. Desensitization is exactly what is going on. They are not going to let this chance go by,,this is for all the marbles in the liberals eyes. They did notice the election and this is the violent throes of a cornered animal. The fact that a large number of people say this is ok is a sign that this country is lost. Despite the Tea Party, I really fear that critical mass has been reached and the sheeple will be overrun.

In Germany they first came for the Communists,
          and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,
          and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
          and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

We all need to speak up. We are all in this together, and *we* should not be terrorized *by the government*.

Agree. People need to realize that when Hitler/Nazi is used,,,,we are referring to the tactics and policies engaged in and what most people understand is what Hitler did. We could just as well be using Stalin, or Pol Pot, etc. but thanks to our great education system ,most people do not have a clue about the rest of the world outside their 2 block area.

Agreed. I had written a comment earlier in this vein, but decided not to publish it. I should have.

This is how it begins and incrementally increases. Could you imagine a year ago thinking this would be happening? How many sheeple complacently go through this process on a daily basis?

This is no disrespect to the Jews. Their mantra is, “Never again.” It is learning from a horrible piece of human history that shares a spot with many other despotic regimes.

In case you did not see the Cocktail Party held a grand coronation for Boehner’s ascension to the throne (for the NEXT Congress!) on Thursday. Another key indicator – no Boehner Facebook post since Thursday!!! Nothing to discuss???(senior citizens, cancer patients and children being physically and sexually assaulted) – what no internet connection on Hilton Head Island or the Caribbean?

D_R_I_V_E! You don’t *have* to fly.

Boycotting the airlines will get them to demand changes from the government.

If everybody says, “Well, I’m just going to make this one flight so I can take the kids to — wherever,” then the government – the fascists – have won; and they get to herd us any way they want.

Find someplace within driving (or train, or bus) distance and go there for spring break.

Or, everybody could just acquiesce and go along — just one more time — for the children.

I have a friend who intends to do the following. I am not making this up. And I apologize in advance for the language (avert your eyes now if you’re easily offended.)

My friend plans on popping 2 Viagras on his way to the airport this week. He’s going to wear loose-fitting sweatpants with no underwear. Moments before he gets in line to go through security, he’s going to visit the men’s room to…uhm…”excite” himself thoroughly. Then he’s going to refuse the scan and walk over to the TSA agent with his assets on display, as it were, and he plans to actually…uhm…”arrive” in his sweats while the agent gropes him.

This guy is an ex Army Ranger, straight-up guy, very patriotic, and he’s just disgusted by what’s happening to our Liberties and the Constitution.

And I have every confidence that he’ll do exactly what he intends to, in hopes that it ends up on YouTube.

PRE-TEA PATY MENTALITY – so soon?

Travel with Tammy Faye Boehner so you can be exempt from the TSA sexual assualt…..

NYT…”As he left Washington on Friday, Mr. Boehner headed across the Potomac River to Ronald Reagan National Airport, which was bustling with afternoon travelers. There was no waiting for Mr. Boehner, who was escorted around the identification-checking agents, the metal detectors and the body scanners, and whisked directly to the gate.

The Republican leader, who will become the second person in line to assume the presidency after the new Congress convenes in January, took great pride after the midterm elections in declaring his man-of-the-people plans to travel home as other Americans do. In a time of economic difficulty, it was a not-so-subtle dig at Ms. Pelosi, who has access to a military jet large enough to avoid refueling for her flights home to San Francisco.

But he is not giving up all the perquisites of power.

Mr. Boehner, who was wearing a casual yellow sweater and tan slacks, carried his own bag and smiled pleasantly at passengers who were leaving the security checkpoint inside the airport terminal on Friday. Among the travelers not invited to bypass the security line was Representative Allen Boyd, Democrat of Florida, who lost his re-election bid two weeks ago…”

The Cocktail Party coronated Boehner Thursday and he ascended the throne for the NEXT Congress.
“Casual yellow sweater and tan pants?” Not Ohio (or DC) dress this time of year.
    No work Thursday thru today?
No comment on TSA physical and sexual assaults?
NO Boehner Facebook – silent since Thursday – what no internet on Hilton Head Island or the Caribbean?

this is a portion of an article from the German newspaper der Speigel (It is a credible paper even if it is leftist). This extract is from another paper. It is worth reading:

    The center-left Süddeutsche Zeitung writes:

“What should citizens do (in response to the terror alert)? Should they not fly any more and not go to the opera or the movies? Should they avoid public transportation, Christmas markets and busy supermarkets? That would be the hysteria that the interior minister warned against. The terrorists will have already half won if they succeed in paralyzing public life.”

“What should the state do? It can show strength. A democracy is strong if it can defend its principles with a cool head and calm courage. A state is strong if it realizes that human and civil rights are the best guarantee of homeland security. An interior minister is strong if he promises citizens every possible vigilance and keeps that promise. … But being vigilant does not mean immediately drafting a new anti-terror law at breakneck speed, as has so often been the case in the past.”

“Germany’s homeland security is at stake. But homeland security also requires the guarantee that the principles that are intended to protect democracy also apply when that democracy is being defended. Homeland security requires inner resolve and an unwavering confidence in the fundamental rights laid down in the constitution — even in times of terror.”

A friend of mine just posted this on her facebook page, pretty cool, huh?

    Liberal vs Conservative

If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is great!

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us should pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he’ll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A liberal will delete it because he’s “offended”.

This sort of thing was done to dopers and jail inductees for decades. Why the sudden attack of “this is an outrage”? It wasn’t an outrage when done to the arrested or done to the damn dopers.

This poke and grope was done to a female friend jailed on a misdemeanor warrant.

And you all looked the other way.

We now have militarized police – well that was OK as long as they went after dopers. Now they have come for you. Suck it up. The dopers had to.

Wow! You are sure ranting on this open thread! You clearly have a chip on your shoulder, or maybe You’re a troll? You don’t know anything about the other posters here, so how dare you assume anything about us. As far as the war on drugs, I believe absolutely that it is abusing our rights as citizens and often turning the police against the people. I am not sure I can agree to legalizing drugs, but I definately believe we need to do things differently on this issue. I am open for reasonable discussion about this issue. I am offended by your hateful attitude, however.

BIG DIF Here…airports filled with our non-Muslim air travelers are not jails or Hollywood movie characterizations of jail filled with misdemeanants or felons under arrest for drug violations and searched or be “patted down” for drugs/weapons (subsequent to probable cause arrest) -
unlike the Janet’s TSA Gestapo sexual penetration of our non-Muslims citizenry

          Indeed.

Isn’t it interesting that it wants to draw some sort of “moral equivalence” between someone arrested for a criminal offense and innocent people who merely wish to travel from point A to point B? As though there’s no difference.

          That’s typical.

your comment is way out of line considering what has been happening.

I have no sympathy for people who are mad enough to do drugs.

These people are searched because they attempt to smuggle drugs into the jail.

On the other hand I do sympathise with anybody who is jailed for something unrelated to drugs and violence. Perhaps they should not be sentenced to jail at all!!!

Now when it comes to the airports let us be quite clear that what the TSA is doing is REACTIVE… THE HORSE HAS BOLTED.

The problem that I see with the TSA is based upon the fact that they are reacting to an old event, without evidence that the event is likely to be replicated. Look at the examples:

    1. Richard Reid – Muslim shoe bomber. His attempt failed. No one else has tried to replicate this effort. Also, Reid boarded his flight in the U.K.

    2. Underwear bomber – Muslim from Somalia or somewhere. In this case the man’s father tried to warn the U.S. embassy staff that his son had turned into a radical. Nothing was done about the information.

I want to go a bit deeper with this one. He boarded the aircraft in Amsterdam. Someone in Amsterdam managed to get this man past security and onto the flight despite the lack of papers.

The major security risk here was not the bomb itself, but the lack of security in Amsterdam.

Why did the Americans allow this man to board that flight? Why did no one double check to make sure that he was not on a no fly list?

In other words the breaches of security in Amsterdam were the real issue.

I just saw a video from the site of one of the witnesses in Amsterdam – the couple who claimed that the underwear bomber was escorted to the aircraft.

The problem with the video, is that the couple are conspiracy theorists, and 9/11 troofers (wacked out of their minds liberals). The video reflects the wackiness of this particular couple and does not help them to be taken seriously. I am not going to link to the site…..

Even so, are they correct in claiming that this was a false flag operation designed to bring in the extra incursions against liberty through what I would consider illegal searches? I am not convinced that it was a false flag operation. I will not be convinced until the Indian man is captured.

In each scenario the US govt and to a lesser extent the Australian govt has been reactive. It is a waste of time to make us take off our shoes.

It would be better to allow us to keep our shoes on, and then if we set off the metal detector to take them off (not that the metal detector would find a hidden bomb inside the shoes!!!)

    Has anyone else noticed this?

WordPress has me automatically logged in to other sites they host. I just found myself logged in to Breitbart and all the Bigs on that dashboard.

I guess it’s fair to assume I’m logged in to many others I don’t know a thing about just by virtue of my association with WP through Hillbuzz. I don’t know why, but this makes me very uncomfortable.

I can log off, but that apparently means I’m logging off to all WP, which means I’m logged off HB.

My so-called profile says I took membership on Nov. 17 (5 days ago) – well four as of today, 11/21, according to my arithmetic. That’s not true. I haven’t done anything in the last four days…..well, except – you know – the usual.

When HB made the change-over last week that was seven days ago and I made no changes since according to WP I was already logged on.

I suppose I’m overreacting but I still don’t like it.

Relax. You are logged on to the Big Sites because you read them.

They use the same type of logging arrangement as Hillbuzz.

In other words, if you have a wordpress account you are free to comment at the big sites simply by being logged in.

It is different for HotAir where you are required to have a separate login and password.

At the Big sites, I was registered as Shootist45 – but when I logged in on HB, my log in at the Bigs became Solaratov. I suppose that I could re-log-in at the Bigs – but would that change my log in here?

        I’m gettin’ confused.

Basically, what I am saying is that there are procedures that need to be tightened prior to keeping in place these procedures that are an invasion of our privacy.

One thing that must happen is that the USA MUST stop the Palestinian immigration.

The Fort Hood jihadi was a Palestinian Jordanian. There should have been a number of red flags on his file. Yet, nothing concrete was done to prevent what took place.

This was a case of people being PC. The flags were there and someone in authority should have been following those flags, recommending that this man be dismissed from the servies.

That man was wearing the white garments of the shahid before he went on his murderous rampage. The authorities should have at least had some kind of background to understand what the wearing of those garments meant… and that man should have been placed on leave… not being allowed near the base.

He was also in touch with the Yemeni devil imam Anwar al Alawki (there is a price on that man’s head). The secret service was aware of those emails, yet nothing was done to investigate the matter.

This was a MAJOR security flaw. It is something else that needs to be corrected before the whole population is treated as criminals.

The regime keeps bringing them in to the USA – on our dime, to be housed, fed and cared for at our expense. We’re bringing in whole villages at one time.

Not to mention that we’ve already (this year) given the palis $450million; and are preparing to send them another $150million whenever congress rubber stamps the appropriation.

Here is an interesting interview with the author of Gray Lady Down, an in-depth examination of the policies of the newspaper whose name gets me sent directly to spam but is known by many as the Uptown Daily Worker.

While it ostensibly serves only one close-knit market in the east, the fact is that the paper has nationwide influence and this author’s insight is very illuminating.

The next-to-the-last sentence sent my eyebrows all the way up, but apparently he’s not giving us any more.
