I like how the Obama administration bashes CEOs for irresponsible spending on lavish parties for their high-rolling clients… yet he apparently has no problem flying a pizza chef in for lunch from over 800 miles away.

Quick, somebody propose carbon cap & trade legislation for the Obamas personal meal needs!

Very thankful for our Risen Lord. Feeling more religious than political today. However, am looking forward to the Fair Tax Rally in Cola, SC Apr. 15. Have you guys looked into the Fair Tax? Let’s make Apr. 15 another Spring Day, not an evil day of reckoning.

This was a wonderful Easter. We went over to our son’s place and went to his church. We didn’t make it over early enough to go to the Son Rise service, so I had my own at home in my garden. Just me and the doves.

No politics at lunch. Didn’t even turn on the TV until we heard the captain was free. What a story of sacrifice and redemption for Easter!

        Happy Easter, FlMom!

Did you see the interview of the official who called Capt. Phillips a “good shepherd” whose utmost concern wasn’t himself, but his “flock” on the ship??

Comparison to Christ was understood. Bet you $20 the MSM never mentions it!

Dan Proft and Julie Johnson now claim they will not be attending the Tea Party because of the local media investigating the fact that Proft, who gets $900,000/year from the town of Cicero, is not a good example of someone who should be speaking out against government waste while benefitting it.

Cicero requested $35 million in “stimulus” funds, part of which would go to Proft….so, he can’t very well protest against money he is going to receive without being called out on it.

I wonder if this Somalia “pirate” crises (not terrorist?) is the going to turn out like Carters hostage crises?

Funny how the media is not drawing any of the obvious comparisons.

Just back home from arising at 3 a.m. to do three—count them, three—worship services. It’s now 11 a.m. and I might head back over to church for the 12:30 Hispanic service. To check out their newly formed little bell choir. Do you know how hard it is to convert Hispanics to Lutheranism?? But they’re dedicated and doing great!

A most blessed Easter to all of Hillbuzz Land. God holds all of us in His hand, even those who don’t believe or trust in Him. Contrary to prevailing liberal thought, BO does not have ultimate power!

Hey NeeNee, another Lutheran here (though not a Hispanic Lutheran). This is the first Easter in like 15 years were I wasn’t doing services all day and collapsing by 3 p.m. DH & I went to the sonrise service with a small crowd and it was overcast …. very intimate and powerful compared with the blaring trumpets and 600 people at the later services, particularly since our pastor kept the lights off in the narthex and sanctuary as he read the scriptures about Mary coming to the tomb and compared us entering the dark, empty sanctuary to Mary entering the tomb. Pretty cool stuff.

Just sharing. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday.

This is unbelievable…Fox just interviewed a former SEAL and asked WTF is going on with the captain being held by pirates and the guy says “This is not an operational issue,” meaning that bobo has not given the OK to kill these bastards because he wants to make sure he gets the go from the international community…oh my god i am soooo f*cking pissed about this i am seeing red. if ANYTHING happens to that captain, bobo is 100% responsible…

Bush wouldn’t have let this thing go for more than a few hours before having a SEAL team out there.

This is an example of why the “international community” didn’t care for him …. he didn’t sit around for everyone else’s approval to rescue an American held captive. He did what was best for OUR country and OUR citizens, and to hell with anyone who objected. So, yeah, they called him a cowboy … like that’s a bad thing or something!

Now It Can Be Told: Obama’s CYA Moment

This from Newsmax – (with comments by NeeNee)

“The Defense Department twice asked Obama for permission to use military force to rescue Capt. Richard Phillips from a lifeboat off the Somali coast, most recently late Friday evening. (THEY HAD TO ASK, HE DIDN’T STEP UP TO THE PLATE AS POTUS)

“On Saturday morning, Obama signed off on the Pentagon’s request, as he had a day earlier, said officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. (LET’S WAIT 4 DAYS BEFORE WE GIVE THEM AUTHORITY)

“A senior administration official said the president’s order authorized force for a group of military assets that arrived at the scene late last week. When more resources arrived, Obama added them to a roster of military personnel allowed to engage militarily with the Somali pirates.
(GET IN LINE TO KICK OUR A**)

“White House officials on Sunday said Obama received regular updates by phone and in person at the White House. (‘HEY, PRESS CORPS, DON’T ASK ME ABOUT THAT PIRATE THING. WE’RE TALKING ABOUT MY BUDGET.’)

The White House soon released a statement praising Phillips’ behavior.

“I share the country’s admiration for the bravery of Capt. Phillips and his selfless concern for his crew,” Obama said. “His courage is a model for all Americans.” (UNLIKE MOI, WHO HID UNDER MY DESK FOR 4 DAYS)

It was Obama’s first public comment on the situation.

Administration officials said the president made an effort not to call attention to the hostage situation while it was ongoing. Officials said they didn’t want to send mixed signals to the pirates or do anything that might threaten Phillips’ life. (I WAS PREPARING TO RUN UP MY WHITE BOXERS AS A SURRENDER FLAG)

In the same public statement, Obama said more must be done to prevent future attacks along the lawless African coast, where other ships remain under pirate control. (PUT A CONSERVATIVE IN OFFICE, FOR STARTERS)

“We remain resolved to halt the rise of piracy in this region. To achieve that goal, we must continue to work with our partners to prevent future attacks, be prepared to interdict acts of piracy and ensure that those who commit acts of piracy are held accountable for their crimes.” (OUR PARTNERS TO WHOM I BOW & SUBJUGATE MYSELF)

“To that end, White House officials say the Justice Department is looking at evidence and considering whether to file criminal charges against a Somali pirate captured during the standoff.” (CONSULT USS COLE FILE FOR ULTIMATE OUTCOME)

Reparations AND let’s prop up Somalia’s economy so the pirates have an alternative job market . . .

      Bet that one isn’t coming??

As our own economy crumbles around the edges & OUR citizens suffer unemployment, you just know BO will cut them some type of aid package to deter Somalians wanting to be pirates. We all know how that will turn out . . . they’ll gleefully accept the aid to feed their women, children, normal men & sick. THEN continue to do the pirating.

United Nations aid has rewarded this kind of behavior for decades now. Why be a productive nation when you can get freebies just by behaving badly??

Did you wonder how BO got that big cheering ovation from soldiers on his recent trip to Iraq??

“Cheered wildly by U.S. troops,” begins Jennifer Loven’s (Democrat) AP report on Obama’s surprise visit to Iraq on last Tuesday.

Quite a contrast to the silent treatment Marines gave Obama at his Camp LeJeune speech in late February. Just how did Obama manage to fix that little problem?

According to a sergeant in Iraq :
“We were pre-screened, asked by officials “Who voted for Obama?”, and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line. They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up.”

As supporting evidence for the digital-cameras part of the story, the sergeant suggests that the identical cameras can be verified in the AP photos.
