Having trouble keeping my breakfast down, what with the 67% income tax increase here in Illinois and the pictures of the Obamas on date night in New York, including a play and dinner. What is wrong with this picture?
Don’t want to mislead on the tax story. Still has to pass Illinois house, and doesn’t look likely, but we will see. Also additional taxes on various services, such as cable.

I recently read that we were headed for the kind of inflation rate found in a lot of the depressed 3rd world countries.
I can’t wait for 2010 (the nation can’t wait) to change the landscape and stop Obama from running roughshod over this democracy. We need a Congress willing to buck his idiotic spending of the taxpayers’ money without any accountability.
I want to know where every bit of that stimulus money and bailout money has gone.
Someone needs to explain which one of these is bad and which one is good. Because that’s what I’m being told.
A. Big 3 auto chiefs fly private plane to DC when auto industry is going in the tank.
B. Dr. Utopia and wife fly private plane (funded by tax payer dollars) to NYC for their incredibly cute “date night”, when US economy is in the tank.

Missed Meet the Press this AM. Guess they moved the time up since I last watched. But I did catch This Week on ABC and was pleasantly surprised to hear some of Gwen Ifill’s (a known Obot) remarks about some of the Obama administrations actions thus far. She actually sounded sarcastic/skeptical about the auto industry piece and his larger agenda. Maybe glimmers of hope.
Last night in the grocery store, there was a table with books 50% off. There were 3 different Obama titles on sale, and about 10 or 12 novels – all hardback books.

I don’t condone murder, but I must say that I’m glad that creep isn’t on this earth anymore. Not after reading some of the gruesome stories about how he killed babies(and I DO mean babies, not fetuses).
I’m sure this will be the top story on the news tonight.
His killer has been apprehended and a press conference will happen around 4pm out of Wichita.

Kinda ironic, They were interviewing people who were at the church where he was shot and were so upset he was killed at a church “where he should feel safe and be at peace” well shouldn’t a mothers womb be a “place where babies feel safe and be at peace” yet he didn’t have a problem killing them.

Many churches these days put the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval on abortion. I think this pastor’s church was one that sanctions abortion.
Our church (Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod)has an organization, Lutherans for Life. I’ll have to ask pastor’s wife for a list of denominations that are pro-abortion.
As far as I know, the Catholic church, Baptists, and Mo.Synod & Wisconsin Lutherans are universally pro-life. And of course, evangelical fundamendalist groups.
As a whole, I believe denominations not mentioned here embrace pro-choice. Of course, there are air pocket pro-life factions in some of them.
It’s important to know what your faith—as well as your political party—-teaches & believes.
To my list of churches most likely pro-life: Mormons & Seventh Day Adventists.
I want to vomit. Mr and Mrs U take AF1 for a spin just to have dinner, while we are being told to hop in our little cars for a trip to McDonalds. These people do not deserve to occupy OUR white house. They are nothing more than a “celebrity” couple who belong on the pages of People Magazine with all the other elitists who think they know what American is all about.

I am praying for the suspect in the George Tiller murder. Wonder who that person is and what drove him to kill this late term abortonist. Was he someone looking forward to being a Father? That to me is the problem with abortion, fathers have no rights until the baby is born.
fathers should have the same rights as mom..from day one.
This was a lesson I continually spoke to my son about. His only right was to have or not have sex. I asked him if he could live a happy life knowing that a child of his was lost to abortion. Well my son did find himself, right as he graduated from college, in such a predicament. Thankfully, his ex-girlfriend (at the time) chose life. I now have a beautiful granddaughter, and a beautiful daughter-in-law and a son and daughter-in-law I’m very proud of. They live a very happy life that they work hard at.
I absolutely do not condone, or rejoice in, the murder of Tiller. 2 wrongs do not make a right. I am very saddened by the fact that we have laws in this country that allow Tiller, and others like him (thankfully not many) to perform the heinous late term abortions.
I remember when Roe V Wade passed. It was never intended for LATE TERM. It was to free women from being barefoot and pregnant and for the first 3 trimesters ONLY…or 12 weeks. This current 24 and 28 weeks baby killing shit is not what Roe was about.
The problem is, creeps like this Tiller worked around the law.
Both of my sisters had their kids(one of them twins) at 30 weeks.
I guess those thriving, intelligent, beautiful kids should have been left to die.
And Dr. Utopia certainly thinks so.
I bet he’ll LOVE this story.
KJA–I agree that two wrongs don’t make a right, but I just can’t feel bad for this doctor. To me, late-term abortions smack of the machinations of Dr. Josef Mengele and his Nazi death-camp “experiments.” It’s downright gruesome and inhumane.
Nevertheless, I will say a prayer for Tiller’s family and for the killer and his family.
I hope the courts show mercy.
P.S. As I’ve often stated here, I’m not very spiritually evolved, so I hope no one’s using me as any kind of barometer of morality.

My theory these days is that along with the rise of cultural relativism/multiculturism has been the demise of feminism. Oppressed women in other cultures have been abandoned by the left. It has been Sarah Palin who has revived feminism: in her Nebraska speech during the campaign and more recently her Indiana speech.

I am a huge tennis fan, and fell in love with Nadal when he was just hitting the circuit. Love him. My mom (she calls him my doll)and I make a point of watching the French every year together just to cheer him on. He is still so young and has many great things ahead of him in life, but it was still very difficult today to watch. Federer has had his day in the sun, so my money is going to be on Soderling if he continues to play like he did today. Your not a wuss MIA, we cried a bit here today too. Earlier in the day I was near tears thinking about the RBC and Hillary, and then Nadals loss just put me over the edge. IT SUCKS. Looking forward to Wimbledon

Wow, this is a very frightening scare tactic in hopes of inimidating the American people from writing or calling our Reps. This is beyond explanation.
Tammy, One of the commenters also got a letter from the IRS erroneously demanding more money. And it was all after correspondence to prez or congress. Of course, it could be coincidence; but now people are watching more closely.
The commenter was that same guy! He was responding to the other posters.
I’m telling you, this is fascism plain and simple!
Tammy–there was a poster besides the blogger who was tapped by the IRS (I think the amount was $222, like the old TV show, ROOM 222).
Anyway, I’m thrilled that the FBI agent said the things that he did. I’m telling ya, folks, the cops, the armed forces, the FBI, and CIA will ALL be on our side. They’re made up mostly of fellow and sister patriots. They’re pissed, too.

I just spent an entire weekend with no news, no politics and never heard a single utterance of Dr. Utopia’s name.
I spent all day Saturday at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, MD and stopped at one of my favorite record stores (Plan 9 in Richmond, VA) on the way home. Picked up a nice stack of rare rock vinyl for $1 each and a small stack of CDs.
Almost bought a new Blackberry Curve for $99 at a Best Buy on the way home, but decided to wait and stop at the local store. Glad I did, since they had it for $49!

Regarding Tiller. It wasn’t just full term babies he killed.
He failed to report underage girls coming to him for abortions. By not reporting those cases to the proper authorities, there is a better than good chance he let rapists/incestuous relations go happy and free to impregnate the next 13 year old. He only got his wrist slapped by the incoming democrat AG, whereas, the one prior had a ton of goods on the guy.
And after partial birth abortion was banned, he continued to do them under the broadly defined guise that ‘depression’ fell under ‘compromised the life of the mother’.
I feel the same of him that I do for other sadistic murderers – such as members of al qaeda…sad that there are such folks that roam the earth and sadder that there are those who support them for their own political gains.

Aren’t we a nation of laws anymore? If we don’t agree with something, we need to work within the law and change legislation. This was vigilante behavior.
A big part of what makes America great is that we are a nation of laws. Cheering this guy on is like cheering on the Taliban’s methods. There is no justification for what he did.
People are so worried about us “losing our country”. Well, glorifying people who act outside the law is making that a reality.
Sotomayor is in trouble for wanting to make decisions based on feelings, but it’s okay for this guy to kill someone because of his feelings?

That said, I have absolutely NO remorse for this monster, Tiller – nor for members of his family, who chose to live with him, support him, and derive they livlihoods from his actions.
His life’s work is between him and St.Peter now … BUT – I’d love to be a fly on the wall at THAT meeting …
You know what else is killing me in this whole story? Reporters were interviewing parishioners and one was emphasizing what a “good Christian” he was. This person chose to pursue a career in promoting his business of abortion services. THIS IS HOW HE MADE MONEY. He was performing abortions on girls as young as 13 and on women in their third term. I just don’t know how you can call someone who chose to remain in such a profession over 30 years, a “good Christian”.
Obviously, Dr. Tiller has no problem with the murder or torture of human beings.

I had such a busy day today that I had forgotten it’s the anniversary of the RBC meeting. Just thinking about that day makes my head pound.
Yeah…a little over a year ago…I was excited about things getting better and the possiblity of Pres. Hillary…but now I am depressed and don’t even go out much…things suck..
You must not let this effect your life that much. To the politicians this is just a game. Don’t let it destroy you or ruin your health. Go on with your life but believe in your beliefs and try to spread the word in what you feel is right and wrong. But please do not let them win by destroying you.
