Something is DEFINITELY fishy in the MSM right now: Chicago press hits Hillary, while liberal loons praise her

Posted on May 20, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

We got another email from someone very politically astute who believes there’s definitely something strange up in the media right now, in terms of treatment of Hillary Clinton that we believe is coming directly from Rahm Emanuel’s talking points.

Here’s what the email to us said — and we’d love to have your comments and thoughts on it below.  We agree there is SOMETHING strange going on, but don’t know exactly WHAT just yet:

“Dear HillBuzz,

Checkout video from MSNBC tuesday May 19 and monday May 18. Cause they talked about Hillary Clinton on both days. yes, always watch the enemy, Chris Matthews, to see what he says. Maybe you can attach video clip and fact check the names of the guys and pubs.

On Monday he had Roger Simon of Politico and Chris Cillizza (sp) of Washington Post. Everyone was singing Hillary’s praises.

On Tuesday, yesterday, he had Ryan Lizza of the New Yorker and a Mr. Cook (I think) of Mother Jones (I think, or else it was another very liberal publication) and he was probing whether there was a Clinton-Obama alliance cause the administration is so Clinton-filled. He also spoke of HRC’s political future and how great she is, they all said she is great, even, especially, the lib pub guy.

This is lots of Hill chat from MSNBC and the Tribune in one week (remember the story the Trib did where they claimed Clinton was off the reservation as Sec of State and had too much candor?). What is up? And why is that Trib dude the lone voice about Hillary being out in the wilderness and acting crazy (as Trib claims)?

Since you got lots of comments on the first post about the weirdness with the Trib article, folks might be interested to figure out why MSNBC was so Hill-friendly this week. “Laud her in liberal media, bash her in the Chicago Tribune.”

What the What?!?

I agree there’s something fishy lately. The O-trolls have had it in for HRC lately and whoever is signing the lil critters’ paychecks and giving them their orders is highly placed, IMHO.

Read a rumor floating around on the intertoobs that some wanna be advisors to Palin thought she should donate some of her PAC money to Hillary to help pay off HRC’s debt. The Good Guv, although totally open to being friends with the Clintons, nixed it b/c it would offend her donors who gave specifically to Sarah.

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/05/19/too-weird-to-check-palin-advisor-wanted-her-to-donate-to-hillary/

I totally get that logic. It would be unfair to donors who gave to her in support of her views then have their money go to someone who doesn’t. Besides one can still be friendly without agreeing on issues or cutting them a check. It might totally be bunk but it is interesting that Greta and her hubby are buddies with the Clintons and at the WHCD Todd sat with some employees of the Clintons. Could be a coincidence or future friendship.

Totally agreed. Greta’s husband may have had his heart in the right place but it was a whacky idea considering that the people who donate to PACs expect their money to be for that candidate’s use, not given to someone in another party. And besides, the most Sarah could legally have donated was a mere $5000.00.

Still I have a gut feeling the two women like each other. Sarah’s first time on the national stage, at the rollout in Dayton, she gave Hillary a shout-out, and then there’s Bill Clinton’s admiring comments about Sarah during the elections and his friendly phone call to Sarah afterwards.

Hill and Bill were severely plummeted by the Repubs for years causing Bill to govern with one hand tied behind his back and untold grief for Hill. I wouldn’t be so quick to think that they are buddy buddy with ANY Republicans. The trust just isn’t there. Just sayin’. Facts.

Good point. Conservative women were particularly bitchy and nasty to Hillary. And yet, the guv is her own person and wasn’t part of that trashfest as far as I can recall.

So maybe any friendliness, if it exists, is on a one-on-one basis?

I believe O’Reilly has explained to us the connection between GE-MSNBC and their desire to get some sort or other of a contract for some green-related technology that would make them a lot of money, thanks to PTOTUS. So, of course, they pushed him onto the (unthinking portion of) the American public and wouldn’t dare trash him, until after they get what they’re after, I suppose.

Why would the Chicago thugs care if she was gonna leave SoS position to run for Gov? I think they would be happy to get her out State. Yes, she will be back in politics and could run against O, but when. She would not run for Governor in 10, and immediately start running for president the next day. That’s Obama’s schtick, not Hillary’s.
My only guess is she is outsmarting him and they’re pissed off. They may want to boot her out before she looks too good, instead of just letting her do her job, and leave when she sees fit. These people want to control all of our lives, Hillary’s included.

Or maybe the part of the MSM that is now praising her is trying to paint her as so important to the role of SOS, that if she indicates an interest in leaving, they can use that to trash her (she doesn’t really care about the country, if she did, she’d stay where she’s doing the most good, etc). Not that they necessarily want her as SOS, but to have a way to cut her down.

(I’m so suspicious of the MSM anymore….)

Oh so there is a piece by Susan Estrich today on Rasmussen Reports where she says all these dem women are whispering to her that they don’t like Michelle, despite all the effort that has gone into making sure everyone loves her:

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/political_commentary/commentary_by_susan_estrich/the_michelle_of_it_all

Estrich concludes that it is all-you-fault if you don’t like poor Michelle.

Why the F is Estrich dissing Hillary to make a point about people who don’t like MO? True, a lot of people hated Hillary for almost no reason at all. I’ve met them. Why do hate her? “I don’t know I just do”. Whatever. As for MO, many women know about the ‘proud’ comment, the ‘if you can’t run your own house’ comment, and the ‘it depends on her tone’ comment, which is my personal favorite reason for disliking her. Guess what Susan, I can dislike who ever the F I want to, without having to explain why to you! And yes, she leaves me feeling ice cold as well.

How they didn’t come looking for her so she had to pursue affirmative action out fo state. Yeah, I am hearing way too much from her. All of her speeches have the implicit message that she is NOW JUST SO FABULOUS despite her humble beginnings. And if we all try really, really hard, someday we can be as fabulous as MO.

Maybe The One’s ratings not nearly as good as we are led to believe. Chris Dodd’s and Harry Reid’s numbers are very low, along with Pelosi. If 2010 is bad for Obama and the dems, I bet they become alot nicer to Hillary.

BILL CLINTON NAMED ENVOY TO HAITI
    BY U.N. CHIEF

The United Nations named former President Bill Clinton on Tuesday as its special envoy to Haiti, with a mission to help the impoverished nation achieve some measure of stability after devastating floods and other crises.

Because of his marriage to the U.S. secretary of state, State Department lawyers must approve and review some of Clinton’s international activities under an agreement between the U.S. Senate and the Clinton Foundation, which works in Haiti on a number of issues including health care, AIDS, the environment and economic development.

I have always loved Hillary too. I was three when she became First lady and I always recognized her as the pretty blond woman on TV who liked kids.
I have also met other people who irrationally dislike Hillary. Whenever I would ask for a reason they could never actually name a legitimate one.
I read Blinded By The Right by David Brock and I remember thinking that the his most interesting observations were about the personal lives of women like Laura Ingram and others who were very mean-spirited towards the Clintons in the nineties. He said that most of the people who irrationally hated Hillary and/or Bill did so because of personal cases of projection. It was more something people didn’t like about themselves that propelled that kind of unreasonable loathing.

Assuming HB is correct about barack’s less than utopian health, then perhaps he is already looking for a way to gracefully bow out (being so elegant and all) and knows that joe biden is in no way whatsoever qualified to be president.

Cue the slow, drawn out rehabilitation of HRC’s image in the MSM so all the mouth breathers can decide they like her again. Have dopey joe get another aneurysm (wink wink), install HRC as VP, and barry rides off into the sunset. Thusly:

    The end.

I didn’t read the link, yet, but what strikes me is that Hillary’s popularity is higher than BO’s, higher than it’s ever been, and that’s before the MSM decided to start liking her recently.

I’m certainly not a political expert, but it seems odd to me that they would start so early – they might find a reason to NOT want to have her held in high esteem in the meantime, and have to backtrack. So if this IS a plot, my guess would be that there might be a more immediate reason, not for something further down the line…

LOL Oh it wasn’t an article, it was that darn photo of him on the bike. I much prefer the “dolled up” job that Bitterpoliticz did on that photo – they put a big flower on the front, I think, and big baskets on the bike – I can’t remember anymore, but it was funny!

Hasn’t Susan E. always been a big Hillary supporter? Am I remembering right? If so, it occurred to me that maybe she wanted to get the info out there that many people don’t like MO, but needed cover to do it…?

Susan E has always had some sort of weird love/hate complex with HRC.
Esterich is a DEM strategist who was friends with the Big Dawg. But I think now she is just another DNC drone.

She wrote a book, I believe, called the Case for Hillary. It is on the bedstand but I have not read it.

Michelle is just a nasty woman. One one level I feel sort of sorry for her, because she is obviously very insecure. But I have to say that out of all the mean things she said, what disgusted me the most was her bitching and moaning about how supposedly hard her life is because it was so terribly difficult to pay for all her daughter’s piano lessons and ballet lessons and a bunch of other happy horse shit.
Meanwhile, there are women who give up food themselves so their children can eat. That was the point of no return with me and MO. What a spoiled, mean, unpleasant person. She hardly ever smiles, unless, I suspect, someone she dislikes is in pain. (people MO dislikes: the ones who don’t kiss her ass 24/7.) And when she does smile, the people she is smiling at no doubt fight the urge to run screaming in the opposite direction. Woman reminds me of my step mother in more ways than one, especially with her pathetic, constant unwarranted victimization.

Yes, I think they’re both all about themselves. I definitely think he’s a narcissist. I don’t know that she is that extreme, but at the very least, she is very self-absorbed. Her comments (such as you mentioned) are really clueless.

Does anyone know what sort of organization America Votes is?
I got a “fishy” computerized telephone survey call from them tonight. Weird questions with only extreme possibilities for responses. I couldn’t tell exactly where they were going with the questions, but they were definitely going somewhere. Questions were too convoluted to be an ordinary poll.

They describe themselves as progressive on their wesbite:

So, presumably, they are promoting a left of center agenda.

Oh, good grief. I should have thought to look this up myself. Sorry to impose but thanks for the information. I think I know what it was all about now. I guess they will be targeting the Republican who represents my area in the state legislature. I met the Democrat who is running – a nice guy, college professor, but he would not reveal his party affiliation until I pressed him about it specifically. His literature does not reveal that he is a Democrat either. Curious….

The media is scared of her, and of Sarah… It is disturbing because nothing on the msm goes unfiltered from the white house…. she could clean their clocks if she needed to.

Praising Hillary on Hardball? Thats rich. They singlehandidly began the demonization of her starting the very first day after the 2006 election that brought the Dems into the majority. I was regularly watching the show up til then. Each day, the show would begin with “Hillary”. Every single day. I realized that they were literally trying to make people sick of hearing her name. Then the disease spread among all the talking heads along the cable channel until I shut it off for good. Maybe they are trying to repair damage, but it won’t do them any good with me. I will not allow NBC or MSNBC into my house.

The (non)-He Man Women Haters Club that is MSNBC showed their true colors last year and IMO anything they say and do otherwise now is pure horsecrap.

Those misogynist pigs like Mr. Tingles and Keith Notamann give men a bad name. I’m ashamed to share a gender with any wussy who is afraid of a strong woman like Hkillary or Sarah.

Sarah Palin is a different kind of Republican. She is humble, not rich nor wants to get rich with politics. She is like Ronald Reagan who just goes with her ideas without backing off. There is not animisity between Sarah and Hillary, just fair competition. I hope these two ladies get to an undestanding and unite forces to take the false mesiah down.
