There are NO POSITIVE COMMENTS about the Obamas on this story...and there have been no positive comments for them on ANY story covering the purchase of this post-presidency estate for the Obamas' move to Hawaii. There's just no positive way for Democrats to spin this. ]

This Honolulu Magazine article is a GREAT one to comment on…joining scores of others who are disgusted by the Obamas’ nonstop orgy of extravagance while millions of Americans wonder where dinner’s coming from (ironic, that is, because Michelle Obama’s sending out emails asking people to SKIP MEALS and donate the savings to the Obama campaign).
Absolutely no one at all defends Obama in the slightest in those Facebook comments on the Honolulu Magazine site…and the anger at the Obamas for receiving a post-presidential gift from the wealthiest of “the 1%” really resonates with people. This is the Obamas’ “Let them eat cake moment” that we always knew would come during this campaign.
I wonder how many of “the 99%” Occupy Wall Street crowd will still be even remotely supporting Obama once they realize that he’s currently in the process of selling off ambassadorships, pardons, and even White House china for contributions to the trust Penny Pritzker’s organizing to buy the Obamas a lavish tax-free estate in Hawaii for their move out of the White House in January of next year.

It’s a great way to get this story to the people who REALLY need to see it…those who sympathize with OWS but have no idea that Barack and Michelle Obama aren’t just the 1%…but are in the dizzying heights of the 0.01% of the wealthiest and most would-be-royalty.
What would Andrew Breitbart do with this story to get it in front of those Daily Kos kids and OWS loons?
Sure will be hard for anyone to wage a class warfare campaign the next five weeks when Mitt Romney earned everything he has while the Obamas have an absolute tropical palace being gifted to them by the very same bankers that the OWS crowds railed against for months last year. Romney has made some decent money in his life, but he and Ann have NOTHING remotely as ostentatious and lavish as the oceanfront estate Obama’s receiving as a consolation prize when he loses the election.

I’m just amazed at how every single comment is a shot at the Obamas. Usually there’s a few O-Bots chiming in, I see zip, zero, nada in the way of positive comments.

There is no counter move possible to this story getting out.
It completely drives a wedge between Obama and the OWS thugs that Democrats thought would be their goon squads in this election.
Once people know that the Obamas are going to be moving into a $35 million mansion in January, there will be millions of Democrat voters who say F*** THEM! and sit home on election day.
I have no idea how to get this story to the OWS kids…but maybe you can via Facebook somehow.

Their Chicago house has been found to be owned by a trust, a “buffer”…..because when you apply for a loan they dig into your credit history, SSN#, track your past, etc…Obama can’t pass that scrutiny. Just like their Chicago house.. when investigated looks like a trust owns it, a “buffer”. When you get a loan for a house they dig into your past, credit, SSN#, etc. Maybe Obama’s background can’t pass that scrutiny. The comments are still there. You just have to hit that little purple “view comments” strip at the bottom. They come up 10 at a time. I don’t have Facebook either, but I can still read them.
There are a couple of nasties – some gal named Takara Taylor crying ‘RACISM!” and some guy who (1) doubts the story is true and (2) hopes that all us horrible hate-filled types end up hungry and homeless. Everyone else is ignoring them.

Whether through stupidity, malice, or good old fashioned cognitive dissonance, they won’t care. I used to think that the left would be furious when Obama broke almost all his promises on foreign policy and turned into Bush on steroids. More fool me. They just ignored it.
One of the things you have to realise about the leftist mindset is this: whenever someone on the right is rich, they stole and exploited their way into it. Whenever someone on their side is rich, they, like, totally earned it. Being antagonistic towards whatever perks someone on the left manages to get will be brushed off as being “anti elitist”. (Yeah, yeah. I know.) In summary: rich conservatives and libertarians are kleptocrats; rich leftists are beneficiaries of the “meritocracy”.
So prepare for some less than coherent fury from the far left at anyone who dares to point out his new, lavishly expensive dwelling. They’ll be portrayed as bitter clingers who object to the meritocracy and don’t like seeing a black man have nice things. (You know the race card is coming.)
I have a few friends (and one relative who defriended me!) I post rebuttals to on FB.
One woman actually put up a post asking if it was true that you needed to set up a PayPal account if you were going to be paid to post things on your page (!), then deleted the post after she got helpful answers.
She is married to a local Dem politician, works for a telecom company, serves on the board of our state’s NARAL, and somehow manages to spend all day at her desk posting literally hundreds of items from various Dem/abortion/occupy groups.
I’ve found that if you post something irrefutable to one of the talking point/blurbs/photoshops/ whatever, they DON’T respond–what response is there possible?
It goes immediately to “ignore and then in two days when we get our new talking point, it will always never have happened”.
If YOU post something irrefutable (like the side by side photos of Obama’s tone deaf “our stripes” “flag” next to the bloodtrails from the embassy, none of them touches it with 10 ten foot poles.
And one of the fave snarky put downs from some is that THEY live in “the reality based world”?
If Romney wins (please God WHEN), I don’t think there will be tranks enough to handle the meltdowns on the hard left and in the media.
I am amazed that all of the comments were negative as well – Hawaii tends to be very liberal politically. Clearly the O has lost his halo in the eyes of many of his former supporters.
When you factor in the campaign’s request to their supporters to donate all or a portion of indicviduals’ wedding and/or graduation gifts to the campaign, it makes their $35M “palace” just a little much to take for the average or even above-average person to take.
Think it: if the Obama’s were to pass the hat around to conservatives for a Hawaiian house for January occupancy, they’d get TWICE the mansion the libs are poneying up. As it is $35 million is a steal to keep us from going in further debt of $1.3 trillion/year.

Today on Glenn Beck they were doing Moron Trivia and they called a convenience store in New England. The lady they talked to was engaging and answered 3 of the 4 questions correctly. After the questions Glenn asked her who she was voting for (he never asks this). She paused (as though looking around) lowered her voice a little and said Romney. Glenn asked her if she knew if more of her friends thought the same way, and she said without hesitation yes.
I talk to people all the time, my job takes me to many different places here in Western Washington. There is a different feeling here. A lot of people I know are not afraid to say they are done with Obama and either will not vote for him (Commie son in law comes to mind) or will vote for Romney.
It’s our time people. We got this. I heard yesterday that even Legitimate Rape Guy was still in the race.
