See Atlas Shrugged on April 15th…and petition to have it play near you if your city is not on the theater list

Atlas Shrugged Part One opens on April 15th and is playing here in Chicago. I hope everyone reading this clicks on the link above to see if a theater nearby is showing this film.
I have for all intents and purposes stopped seeing movies in theaters. I just don’t want to help fund Hollywood, and with Netflix, Hulu, and other sources of online content I can eventually see every movie that comes out…even if it takes a while.
But I am going to see Atlas Shrugged opening day.
I think it will be an event to remember, like the first Tax Day Tea Party here in Chicago.
I have a Atlas Shrugged tee shirt I am going to wear and hope to have the book reread before the 15th.
Please support this film. It was independently produced and financed. It is apparently incredibly faithful to the book.
And its message could not possibly be more important or timely.

We have been promoting trying to get it here in Orlando. I can’t wait to see it!
Sounds great, Kevin. For those who haven’t read the book, it’s a great story and is exciting right to the end.
Wow, it is playing in San Francisco AND Berkeley!!
Trying out new Gravatar.
didn’t work
Again.
woohoo!!
Unfortunatly we’re going to be out of town on opening night! But we’re planning on going to see it as soon as we get back.
We should coordinate some man on street interviews on it.
Raise awareness on Michigan Ave.
Get a permit and talk to tourists.
Could be a fun vid for Youtube.
I’d actually really love to do that! I’ll start looking into it. Before or after the movie is released?
If I go see it will be the firts time in at least 10 years I have gone to a theater as I long ago tired of funding Hollywood libs. I will probably make an exception in this case.
BTW, if you live in an urban area, your library probably has thousands of movies if you include all the branches. Many times the good movies are checked out but the trick is to get on the waiting list and keep several on there trick will save you lots of money and allow you to see the movies you want without enriching Hollywood. Unfortunately if too many people start doing this I suspect the enlightened libs will make an effort to keep movies off library shelves.
Be fun to get some Chicago locals together and go as a group. Any takers?
I don’t know whether we’ll see it on opening day, but there is no doubt – we WILL see Atlas Shrugged.
This is great. I checked this website a couple of weeks ago and there wasn’t half as many theaters showing it. There weren’t any in Georgia. Now there is one in Atlanta. This should do pretty good.
Yeah, Neal Boortz got that one himself after talking to the producers.
Looks like it will be playing in Evanston. Very convenient for Chicago residents. I’ll have to check the weekend schedule to find the times.
One of the disadvantages of living on an island is it won’t get here for some time, if at all. Thank goodness for netflix, or may have to purchase it when it goes to DVD.
I did ask for it to come here, though.
Hey, I just got an idea. Help out if you choose, fellow Buzzers. The zip code for my nearest town is 96766 (Lihue, HI). If you would be so kind as to ask for it to come here, I would be extremely grateful.
I put in a request for Monterey (we actually have several theaters here!) but the city came up as Salinas…2 theaters and no one will go there because of the rampant gang activity. I doubt the illegals would be interested…unless there’s a Spanish version.
Canadians want to see this movie.
