Say what you want about Nancy Pelosi, but Drudge is right, she looks great

Posted on March 31, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Drudge ran a headline this morning noting how great Nancy Pelosi looks for a 70 year old.

We don’t think she’s a good Speaker of the House.  We believe she might actually be a criminal, in that she knew about the abuses of Congress critters like Eric Massa and Charlie Rangel long before they came to public light — not to mention all the lies she’s told and underhanded games she’s played in her quest to undermine our national intelligence agencies.

We’ve met her in person and she’s rude, dismissive, and aristocratic.  She has about a minute’s worth of prepared speech to deliver to a member of the public on about a dozen topics, and after that she seems lost, confused, and more than a little panic-stricken as she frantically blinks some kind of code to her handlers to be moved on to the next person waiting to shake her hand.

But, we need to give credit where credit is due and note how right Drudge is — she does look amazing for 70.  To be honest, she looks great for 40.

If we didn’t know how old she was, we’d swear she was in her early 50s, tops.

It’s a real shame she doesn’t take care of the country, and our Constitution, as well as she does herself.

And that she doesn’t share her anti-aging secrets with the rest of us.

That’s EXACTLY how she looks. Her eyes blink, and her lips move – nothing else, and her “pure of heart” gave out long ago. God I hate how long it takes to take down evil, and all the harm they cause in between.

Women in their fifties look better than that.
I know because I am one of them! My secret:
nightcream and stay out of the sun. No botox or alien skin tucking.

I know a woman who sells skincare products for a living and even she admits the best skincare is to: STAY OUT OF THE SUN.

I think the secret with aging is to not fight it and to realize as long as you have breath, you have something to contribute to this world. I work around the very young and the very old. Each has their own beauty. Like the seasons of the year, there are seasons to life if we are blessed to enjoy a long and full life.

Some people have good genes when it comes to aging at least of the skin. I’m lucky that both my mother and father both appeared more youthful than they really were. Too much sun, too much alcohol, and smoking are in general contributors to aging of the skin but not in all cases. My father was a farmer (plenty of sun and wind exposure) but did not really start looking old until his final illness when he was about 80. He did not abstain from alcohol but was a moderate drinker and did not smoke. My mother’s skin was almost unwrinkled even into her 70s. I’m almost 62 and have hardly any wrinkles although I have had my fair share of the sun when I was younger and still enjoy working outside. I’m the oldest of my siblings and we all appear much younger than we really are. None of us has had any cosmetic work done because we can’t afford it. However all of us seem to live by the principle of “moderation in all things”.

As to Nancy Pelosi, she does look good for 70 but in this day and age that’s not that exceptional. I see people in my line of work in their 80s and 90s who are active and appear much younger than they are and unlike Nancy, radiate a kind and generous spirit. To me a loving spirit shining through some wrinkles is far more beautiful than a mean, botoxed smooth face.

The best part of the SOTU addresses(with the sound muted…goes without saying) is watching her and Biden. He gets more and more pissed off as the night goes on, having to stand up every time she does. He gets this “oh Jeez, is she up AGAIN?” look on his face. By the time he gets his butt out of the chair, she’s back down and they’ve moved on.

Anyone who gets her degree of plastic surgery has a mental problem… any woman who is that afraid of getting old has major emotional fragilities. Granted, she’s not the Bride of Wildenstein, but she’s close. She’s over stretched to the point her face is in constant surprise and she has literaly no muscle movement under the skin.

Other celebs and public figures catch hell also for that amount of self mutilation. She should too…. she’s a horrible example for anyone on aging in good health and grace.

Add into it her total destruction of our way of life, her open contempt and bigory directed at the ‘average middle American’ and her delusions of grandure in her lifestyle….

The ripping is deserved from any direction.

Oh, KACK! Boyz, I don’t know who you’re comparing Nasty to as a 70 year old woman, but I think she looks AWFUL.
Considering how much she’s spent on cosmetic surgery, she should look WAY better.
If she stopped dying her hair and getting the Botox injections, lost the false eyelashes, etc. etc., she’s look like any other old lady, probably worse, because she only smiles if she’s in front of a camera.
Having an unlimited wardrobe budget helps, too.
She always wears suits that hide a lot of ‘issues’.

Just as a comparison, Tina Turner is 70 and she’s still smokin’.

Free with admission to Man’s Country, in fact.

    P 311 a dangerous new element.

Discovery Announcement ~ The densest element in the known Universe has been found!

    Pelosium:
A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the densest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Pelosium. Pelosium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311.
These particles are held together by dark forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.
The symbol of Pelosium is PU.
Pelosium’s mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Pelosium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes.
This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientist to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass.
When catalyzed with money, Pelosium activates CNNadnausium, an element that radiates orders of magnitude more energy, albeit as incoherent noise, since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons as Pelosium.

I was listening to NPR last night & they were interviewing some guy who just wrote a book about Pelosi. He was talking about how Boehner made such a great speech on the night healthcare was voted on. Nancy followed him & was stammering , blinking & swaying. The author’s comment was that oratory is not her strong suit, that she was better at the back-room dealing like Rahm Emanuel.

I don’t think history will be kind to her.

For those with small business interests:

This came from National Federation of Independent Business:

If you own a small business this recommended reading.

This organization is not free but very worthwhile to belong to. In a nut shell you can see how your representative voted on all issues pertaining to small business.

Healthcare Reform Law: Timeline for Small Business
The new healthcare reform law will be implemented over much of the next decade. From 2010 to 2013, changes largely involve new taxes, fees and mandates on individuals and small business. Most healthcare system changes begin in 2014 and later years. This document presents a timeline of some major provisions.

    2010
Small business tax credit: A temporary small business tax credit is available for some firms who provide qualified health coverage. However, the credit puts small business owners through a series of complicated tests to determine the actual amount of the credit. (1) Very few small firms will receive the full credit (only firms with 10 employees or less). For firms with 11-25 employees, the credit is reduced per employee. Firms with more than 25 employees get NO credit. (2) Only firms who pay their workers an average of $25,000 or less are eligible for the full credit. The credit is reduced as the average wage goes up, stopping when it reaches $50,000. (3) Only firms covering 50% or more of insurance costs will be eligible. (4) The credit is only available for a maximum of six years. There are additional provisions for start-up firms beginning business after the enactment of this law.

Age 26: Children may stay on their parents’ policies until age 26.

Tanning salon tax: A 10% excise tax on indoor tanning services begins July 1.

Economic substance doctrine: The bill alters long-standing judicial doctrine in ways that could reduce tax-planning options and increase litigation.

    2011
W-2 reporting: Employers will be required to report employees’ health benefits on W-2s.

Brand-name drug tax: Manufacturers and importers of brand-name drugs will pay a tax of $2.5 billion in 2011, $3.0 billion per year for 2012 through 2016, $3.5 billion for 2017, $4.2 billion for 2018, and $2.8 billion for 2019 and thereafter.

HSA & FSA limits: Consumers are prohibited from using HSA and FSA funds to purchase non-prescribed items, including over-the-counter medication (except insulin).

HSA penalty: The penalty for using HSAs for non-qualified purchases increases to 20%.

Federally subsidized long-term care: Employers may voluntarily participate in the CLASS long-term care program. Participating firms’ employees will be automatically enrolled and subject to payroll deductions unless they choose to opt out. This program will almost certainly cost the federal government far more than what the payroll deductions will cover. So this entitlement is yet another unfunded liability to add to federal deficits for decades to come.

    National Federation of Independent Business
    1201 F Street NW * Suite 200 * Washington, DC 20004 * 202-554-9000 * Fax 202-554-0496 * http://www.NFIB.com

Cafeteria plan safe harbor rules added: Employers will have to meet minimum contribution requirements to receive protection from nondiscrimination requirements under cafeteria plans.

    2012

1099 reporting: Businesses will have to send Form 1099s for every business-to- business transaction of $600 or more – a tremendous new paperwork burden for small business.

    2013

Medical device tax: Manufacturers and importers of certain medical devices will face a 2.3% excise tax.
Fewer deductible medical expenses: New limits are placed on the deductibility of medical expenses on individual income tax returns. This provision raises the 7.5% AGI floor on medical expenses deductions to 10%. The AGI floor for those 65 and older (and their spouses) remains at 7.5% through 2016.

“Medicare” payroll taxes: The Medicare payroll tax on wages and self-employment income in excess of $200,000 ($250,000 joint) will increase to 2.35% and is not indexed to inflation. This tax marks the first time that funds designated for Medicare will be diverted elsewhere – specifically to pay for the insurance policies of people under the Medicare age. This establishes a precedent for treating this payroll tax as a revenue raiser for other purposes.

“Medicare” investment tax: In addition to the payroll tax, there will be a 3.8% tax on investment incomes for higher-income taxpayers (“higher-income” is based on wage and self-employment income plus other factors). Like the payroll tax, these funds are officially designated for Medicare but will be spent elsewhere.

FSA limits: Cafeteria plan FSAs will be limited to a maximum of $2,500 (inflation-adjusted after 2013).

    2014

Small business health insurance tax: An annual fee on health insurance providers will be passed on to consumers. This tax will fall on the vast majority of plans that small businesses purchase, but not on self-insured plans (such as most big business and labor union policies). The fee is $8 billion for 2014, $11.3 billion for 2015 and 2016, $13.9 billion for 2017, $14.3 billion in 2018. For years beginning 2019, the $14.3 billion figure will be adjusted upwards for the growth in medical costs.

Health insurance exchanges: Exchanges open to individuals and small businesses with up to 50 employees. (An individual state may opt to increase that number to 100.)

Premium credits: The federal government begins subsidizing individuals up to 400% of the federal poverty line – around $88,000 today for a family of four. These credits will subsidize individuals purchasing insurance in exchanges (but not those with traditional employer-sponsored plans).

Medicaid eligibility expands: The income level for Medicaid eligibility rises, bringing millions of new people into this federal/state program for lower-income individuals. Initially, the federal government will absorb the entire debt or taxation burden of this expansion, with states facing financial pressure in later years. Combined with a related expansion in CHIP (the Children’s Health Insurance Program), the Medicaid expansion will account for nearly one-half of the total increase in insurance coverage.

Medicare cost-cutting: An independent Payment Advisory Board is created to recommend legislation to reduce the growth rate of Medicare costs.

    National Federation of Independent Business
    1201 F Street NW * Suite 200 * Washington, DC 20004 * 202-554-9000 * Fax 202-554-0496 * http://www.NFIB.com

Benefits package: Federal officials must define an essential benefits package with which all insurance policies must comply. (This provision includes restrictions on cost-sharing. )

Individual mandate: Starting in 2014, all U.S. citizens and legal residents must have “qualifying” health coverage or pay penalties. For an individual, the penalty begins in 2014 at the greater of $95 or 1.0% of household income. In 2015, it grows to $325 or 2.0%. In 2016, it reaches $695 or 2.5%. (For families, the figure will be $2,085.) After 2016, the amount will rise by a cost-of-living adjustment.

Employer mandate: The bill contains a complex employer mandate requiring some firms to provide insurance, pay penalties or both. The penalties are based on (1) the number of full-time (or part-timers counted as full-time equivalent) employees, (2) whether or not the firm offers coverage, and (3) whether or not one or more employees qualify for government subsidies toward the purchase of health insurance. An employee qualifies for a subsidy if his or her household income is below 400% of the federal poverty line ($88,000 for a family of four today). Here are some of the rules:

o More than 50 full-time employees. Does not offer insurance. One or more employees receiving premium subsidies. Penalty = $2,000 per full-time employee (minus the first 30 employees).

o More than 50 full-time employees. Offers insurance. One or more employees receiving premium subsidies. Penalty = lesser of $3,000 per subsidized employee or $2,000 per full-time employee (minus the first 30 employees).

o More than 50 full-time employees. Offers insurance. Has no employees receiving premium subsidies. No penalty on employer.

o 50 or fewer full-time employees. No penalty.

o If an employee’s household income is below 400% of the federal poverty line and his or her insurance premium falls between 8% and 9.8% of household income, the employer must offer the employee a voucher (equal to the amount the employer contributes toward an employee’s premium) to purchase insurance in the exchange. An employee meeting these characteristics will not trigger the employer penalties.

o Part-time employees’ hours will be converted into full-time equivalents for purposes of these calculations. For example, if 6 employees each work 5 hours per week, they will count as if the firm had one additional full-time employee (calculated monthly).

o Employers with more than 200 employees will be required to auto-enroll employees into the employer’s health plans, though the employee may opt out.

o There are extra penalties for firms who have a waiting period of more than 90 days before employees are eligible for insurance.

    2018

Cadillac tax: The government will collect a so-called “Cadillac Tax” – a 40% excise tax on health coverage in excess of $10,200 annually for an individual or $27,500 annually per family. The threshold amounts are higher (by $1,650 for individuals, $3,450 for families) for certain retirees over 55 and for employees in high-risk professions. The threshold amounts may be increased in response to higher medical costs prior to 2018 and for firms that have higher costs due to the age and gender of their employees. This tax is indexed for general inflation (not healthcare costs), so as healthcare costs rise, more and more people will be swept into this tax each year.

Below-C looks 55-nice only because of cosmetic diddling. Her real-time age is 55-twice, easily. The truth is in her elbows – the only part of her that tells the truth.

Well, then, my regards to Alice Roosevelt. Had I known it was she who said it first, I would have given her credit. (Hey, at least I didn’t try to claim that as a product of my own wit.)

Pelosi reminds me of a MUCH OLDER version of Heidi Montag, the Hills reality star. She got 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day. She looks horrible!! In the new promo, she can’t even speak properly or cry b/c of the all the work she’s done.

Hey, I’m 44 and I routinely get carded still. I know I don’t look 21, but I’m still quite attractive. But mostly what people notice about me is my giving nature and fun loving spirit. I hope to have beautiful grandkids and live in peace at 70. I don’t care about wrinkles.

First off, SanFran Nan looks artificially enhanced. If she didn’t have medical help to hide her age, she wouldn’t look nearly that good. What’s even more disheartening is how much of a socialist bastard Sarcozy has turned out to be. Never be fooled by Conservatives in Europe because they are friendlier statists in comparison to their labor/liberal compatriots.

This woman isn’t “of the people.” She’s a rich elitist who thinks the rules don’t apply to her. She really thinks that she’ll survive the health care nightmare. I absolutely despise this woman.

She’s a snake. Even snakes can look charming and gentile until you see them up close.

She is quite popular here. She’s not so popular in the comments section where anyone from anywhere can post. Given that she just delivered “free” health care to San Franciscans, I daresay the only way she gets removed as SotH is if the GOP wins a majority.

Need not marvel any longer. The BOTOX Lobby has been supplying her with that since it was discovered that it could make the ugly not so ugly. Before that she used Bondo a product used in body shops to fill in dents, and then sand them down. Down is where I expect she will go in November. Even her husband Paul has to sleep with a gun under his pillow to keep unwanted advances. As a favor, I know this is a woman’s blog and all things Hillary would would have been a much better president than the chosen one. Please post it, possibly some of your readers might be open minded enough to take a walk on the “dark side” LOL hey it’s just politics, it’s not like they are destroying the country economically or forcing things down our throats;-) Nice blog by the way, I’m Jim

She looks ok for 70, but not for any age younger than that. You were being overly kind in your opinion. The close-up shots of her puss will give you a different perspective. She’s a nasty person which makes her ugly in my opinion, and there’s no amount of nipping and tucking that can fix that!

I agree about Raquel, Sophia Loren, Helen Miren etc…. they all look great for their ages AND it looks believable. They may have had surgery, but it’s not obvious. A lot of why the look so great is internal as well as just taking care of themselves.

I think what galls me about saying Nancy looks good is she is one of those rich Dems that has used a bizillion dollars for their every whim…planes, clothes, food, vacations and yes, clearly with Nancy, at least 7 digits in sugery.

And here I (and we) are getting by with clipping coupons, grown our on veges, raising our own egg layers, shopping at Good Will and vacations are visits to relatives out of town. It’s insulting in a way….because now she wants even MORE of my money so she can what? Pull her navel up to her ears???

Surely you jest! This woman cannot close her eyes at night. And her smile muscles are frozen. A body language expert got lost in the woods the other night, trying to explain her facial expressions as a reaction to a complimentary comment from Diane Sawyer. How can one explain facial expressions that were created by a surgeon?

Rare closeups show sunken eyes, a vast network of wrinkles on face and neck. Most of her photos are taken at a distance.

no, she doesn’t look great for 70. What it should be is-She looks great for a 70 year old woman that has a good plastic surgeon and has had tons of it done. She’s been nipped, folded and tucked more than oragami. That is much different from a woman looking great at 70 without plastic surgery to hide the aging process

If you have the money and a good plastic surgeon, ANYONE can look that good no matter what the age. What impresses me are the woman that look incredible for their age without any surgery to make them that way.

I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but as a hetero male I must interject here. Nancy Piglosi would cause any self respecting straight guy’s manhood to behave like a frightened turtle or a shrinking violet. Her mane is comprised of snakes and a gaze upon her will turn one into a pillar of stone. Nancy Piglosi is Medusa reincarnated and is begging for a visit from Perseus. http://www.webwinds.com/thalassa/medusa.htm

The Piglosi makes me want to
