Why does Obama have a more noticeable mustache when he travels. It is not a five o'clock shadow thing. Sometimes it is narrower today it is much fuller and much darker. When he was in Egypt last time it was pencil thin. Is he beginning to reveal he is a Muslim and after the next election it stays on? Haven't seen comments or story anywhere on this, but was sure someone here would know.

I don't like potato salad, but if you want to make yummy parsleyed smashed potatoes which need no gravy: peel, cut & boil potatoes, when they soften, drain & dump a bunch of butter on 'em and some parsley. If you boiled them long enough, they'll be falling apart, kind of like lumpy mashed potatoes, add some milk to make it creamy and stir. Yummy!
Testimony here! I am right there with Zilla! My kids are now 14 and 16, but things were no different back in 1995 … my OB wanted to do all those tests when I was pregnant and 34 at the time … I said No and the pressure Olympics began … I submitted only to the "required by law" tests (AIDS and I don't remember what else) and gestational diabetes screening. My OB was beside herself over my non-cooperation. With my next pregnancy, I went to a different OB and had a long frank talk with her right up front … she did not pressure me at all and was a dream Dr. to me … I remember wishing she was my sister. But you have to be very assertive right from the start and decide you are screening the Dr., not the other way 'round. ____Cautionary Coda: Years later, we found out that my daughter had a common congenital heart defect and had it surgically repaired. She is just fine. However, this defect is quite common in Down babies and I wonder if we had had an ultrasound scan that showed the defect … would there have been pressure to abort over that? I wonder how many babies get aborted over repairable problems?
Thousands of kids, perhaps millions, have been destroyed because they MIGHT have a problem, but didn't I'm sure. Just look at how many kids were supposed to have something wrong with then but didn't?
I, too, experienced all the pressure from doctors to do these tests b/c I was 39, then 41 with my last 2 pregnancies. The 1st time was when we lived in MD and we gave in to the pressure and agreed to see the genetic counsellor. They were so aggressive and used so many scare tactics, it was almost as though they were being paid on commission to get these abortions done. I finally had to get in the woman's face and tell her I wasn't going to do the tests b/c I honestly did not care if my baby was born with a disability. She looked at me like I had 2 heads. She could just honestly NOT believe that anyone (with any brains) could feel that way. For my 3rd pregnancy, I was living in AZ and told them all from the start that I would never agree to any tests and they were perfectly fine with it and never mentioned it again. No matter what the outcome could have been, my husband and I were prepared to deal with it. We loved all of our children from the moment we found out I was pregnant. They were ALWAYS our children, not a fetus, and never once did we consider them to be anything less than the blessings they are.
