Just sitting here having my morning pick me up. Thought I would take a second to thank Hillbuzz for providing this website and thank all of the wonderful people who post here. You have all been my “saving grace” through all the turmoil created by the last election. I appreciate the information provided here and the sense of humor. It’s like great versions of “Saturday Night Live” on a daily basis! Thanks again everyone and God Bless you.

The two men are due to meet in a few hours in the French city of Strasbourg, but their relation is not getting better.
Over the last few days,the French press has been giving a few details about the different motives of tension between Obama and Sarkozy :

If you add to this the hype provoked by Obama and Brown yesterday, when they laughed at Sarkozy, when they were asked what they thought about his threat to walk out of the G20 summit.

I lived over there for two years and still have to translate this way, colloquial French is just too difficult after 25 years!

i was reading a forum yesterday about Palin’s reaction to Levi going on the Fivehead Banks show and i had to walk away…these forums have been infiltrated with obots bent on destroying her. it’s hard to read sometimes.
I know, its heartbreaking and disturbing to see how much hatred is out there. God, I feel so bad for that family. I jut hope those hate-mongering Obots remember that karma is a bitch.

There are people in the media eager to use this kid and I doubt many that age would be savy enough to see what is happening.I pray for the Palins.This is intenional cruelity.
Fivehead? I dunno, I’ve always thought Tyra was pretty hot, though she does have that hella forehead. Vanessa Williams (of Ugly Betty) has that same thing goin’ on. What’s up with that? It does make them look just a little like an alien character from the original Star Trek show.
But I can’t say that either of them reminds me of a Klingon, like ANOTHER certain someone I could mention.
There’s a judge who is often on Fox as a commentator. He has the opposite thing going on – no forehead. Have you ever seen him? I think he’s hispanic, and his hair is salt and pepper, and slicked backwards, the way men wore their hair in the 30s – I guess maybe the 50s, too, because The Fonz did it too LOL. I always wonder if those are maybe hairplugs – because how could someone have NO forehead? His eyebrows are about an inch below his hairline.

Yes, that’s him. Are those hair plugs? People say that about Biden (although he still has a forehead). I don’t think I can tell hairplugs, myself, and I wonder how people do. But his (lack of) forehead is what was making me wonder.
It’s well known that Biden has plugs. There were pics of him published at the time he was getting them (long time ago). I don’t think he’s ever even denied it.
The Botox and game-show-emcee-capped teeth seemed to be new developments this last year, though.
Biden had the Botox and the teeth capping done for the campaign…he’s never denied doing that either. We remember someone bringing it up once and he just laughed.
Biden has many faults, but one thing you have to give the guy is that he doesn’t deny stuff like this — and typically only lies when he’s making things up, not when he’s answering a personal question about himself or something he’s done. He says really crazy things, but most of them he believes are true.
I don’t understand why ANY media thinks this is okay. She’s not the President or Vice President so they can trash her family and her kids, drag them through the mud?
It’s bad enough that Obama isn’t putting a stop to it, but the why isn’t Michael Steele screaming bloody murder about it? Is the Republican Party just so grateful to have a scapegoat that keeps the focus off their lameness that they will continue to allow this without objection?

Absolutely. Michael Steele needs to start kicking ass and taking names. There needs to be more outcry from other politicians, her supporters or just fair minded people to let the media know that this kind of character assassination on ANYONE let alone CHILDREN who are not running for office is unacceptable.

Probably because it seems inevitable that we’re going to give another full amnesty to the other millions and millions and millions of illegals here. We just did that 20 years ago, and in just those 20 years, the number has skyrocketet again.
I live in SoCal, and I’m all for diversity, but when one foreign group grows so large, assimilation takes a back seat… which spells trouble for the country, I think. There are many places here where you would have no idea you were in America – you couldn’t even speak English and be understood by anyone.
I’ve said this before, this is one, if not the, reason we moved outta the L A area.
Yep, left San Diego 13 years ago for these reasons and more. Sure, in the old days of immigration, there were sections of larger cities that were more language and culture exclusive …. Chinatown, Little Italy, etc. … but these were people who came to this country LEGALLY and learned to also function in American culture.
Illegals in SoCal appear to think all of America should provide them with everything they need and want yet they do not have to follow our laws, pay taxes, or learn English. We are supposed to adapt to them.

I’ve been thinking about fascism lately, with Obama “buying” and making rules for private corporations. Here is a definition of fascism:
a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
I think it sounds a lot like BO, except he is not into nationalism – he’s more into bashing America.
So I’m still left not knowing what to make of him.

Are you the one who is reading that book about communism and fascism? If so, does that book happen to mention the difference between socialism and communism? I don’t feel like I have a good grasp of the difference, but I know there is one.
Since I found out in the primaries what goons many in the democratic party are, I have tried opening my ears to the other side.
Sometimes I can bear it, like a discussion on economic issues, or BO’s eligibility question – but when the talk turns to gay issues or women’s issues, many of the republicans are in the stone age.
For example, there is some idiot on Free Republic who is saying that Title IX is proof that women are inferior. You can’t help someone like that – they just have to become extinct, I think.

And as much as I like Sarah, McCain did lose some moderate voters, who had doubts about BO, because of her.
But all in all, he gained much more than he ultimately lost.
I lost a lot of respect for him when he said Sarah Palin lost McCain a lot of votes. Anyone with any sense knows that McCain wouldn’t have pulled 40% of the vote without Sarah; she carried his tired old ass across the line, unfortunately in 2nd place. Without her, he might have ended up in THIRD after Ron Paul write-ins.
OK, so he’s not perfect. But he’s closer than most.

His analysis of Palin’s affect on the election bothered me, too.
Here’s what’s on my mind.
I was at Target and saw one of the thousands of special edition magazines on the Obamas. It had MO on the cover with the title “A First Lady for the Twenty-First Century”.
Because, as we all know, we should just be ashamed of the actual FIRST 1st Lady of the 21st century, Laura Bush, with her appropriate sense of style, humbleness, and endless work promoting literacy in the US (note the sarcasm.) She is very much missed!

It wasn’t any mainstream magazine, like Time or People or even a men’s or women’s magazine. It was just a special magazine, all about MO. (Obviously, I didn’t read it, just saw the cover). I saw it in the magazine section at Target and also Barnes & Noble. I would assume it’s being distributed nationwide.
All I’ve seen is slobbering over MO in Europe this week. She is so fabulous, and the world is so in love, yuk,yuk,yuk. I’m afraid we’ll be seeing a lot of this fawning for the next few weeks, months, years?

Now I could be over-analyzing, and I could be flat-out wrong, but it *looks* like Medvedev has Obama’s hand in the grip of what’s known as a “dominant handshake”.
A dominant handshake is where you turn your arm so that your palm is facing partially or completely downwards, thereby putting your hand “on top” and establishing dominance. It is a subtle but clear form of dominant body language.
It’s hard to tell from the photo and video, but it does look to me like Medvedev’s arm is turned pretty significantly, and it even looks like I’m catching glimpses of Obama’s knuckles. If I’m right, then he’s definitely giving it up to the Russian President.

Notice how in Bush’s picture, you can barely see his fingers past the first finger joint? But in Obama’s picture you can clearly see his fingers past the SECOND finger joint.
Any thoughts on this?
Can’t tell. But Bush looks a little skeptical where BO looks like he just sold the farm. Is he truly taking any of this seriously, hmm?
