Whats on my mind this Saturday….??? where the hell you been, thats whats on my mind…. Soooo very glad your back. Hope all is well.
I thought you left us.
#1 has said it all.
I think your absence from this site is what’s on all of our minds today
Thank goodness you are back.
What’s on my mind? I’ll tell you what’s on my mind:
I am not happy with this mind game. I care about your guys, and I was thinking that maybe you cared enough about us to offer some explaination as to what is going on here. It both upsets me and infuriates me that you have refused to communicate. Even a few words would be helpful. Please be honest with us.
Great to see you back! Hope everything is going ok in Chicagoland!
Yeah, what’s up?
Boyz,
If you ever get to feeling like nobody cares, I invite you to read the posts from that last few days. To say you were missed, would be a gross understatement.
Hope you are well!
What’s on my mind is that you scared us half to death! I hope you simply won the lottery or fell in love or found some delightful project to get involved with.
Doesn’t matter, many of us have been sending good thoughts your way Hillbuzz, and hoping your absence doesn’t involve grief or illness. Some of us around here care about you and I hope you can feel that coming your way across the inner-tubes.
How do you know it’s who you think it is? Still no comment?? I still think it’s odd…
People, don’t be impolite. The absence may altogether personal and nobody’s busienss. Just be glad They’re baaaaaack!
I am not trying to be impolite, but, until I have some “proof” of who is back I am not so sure…a website usually doesn’t give people a “phishing” warning without a reason..
SDB -that was my feeble attempt at humor. But you’re absolutely right to be cautious. Suggestions on how to verify authenticity, anybody? Gee, maybe I’ll just scroll down and some smart tech person will already have posted one.
OK, I second #1.
What else is on mind? This stuff is for today.
Obama is called God by Newsweek editor. http://ace.mu.nu/archives/288231.php
Obama introduced Obamacare to get us all killed.

Sarah Palin is in NY and is expected to get around 20-30,000 people to see her. People are driving all the way from Virginia to see her.

prose: thanks. I followed some of the links from Ace’s blog and landed on this delusional apology for Sheik Obama:

Obama’s Flip-Flops for the Public Good
Kenneth T. Walsh, June 4, 2008
[excerpts from the end of the article follow]
“…What may be the most important factor of all is that Americans seem to think the country’s problems, from the economy to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, are so complex that Obama should be given a lot of leeway in searching for solutions.
In the end, Americans will understand and accept a president who changes course, as long as he does it for the public good or to acknowledge new realities, not for crass partisan reasons or to curry favor with particular interest groups. But there is hell to pay if a president breaks a fundamental promise and can’t justify it. Perhaps the best example is George H. W. Bush, who violated his “read my lips–no new taxes” pledge from the 1988 campaign. Partly as a result, Bush lost his re-election bid in 1992.
So far, Obama’s shifts have not risen to the level of a fundamental change in his views or a redefinition of his presidency. If Obama can continue to demonstrate his commitment to everyday Americans, and get results, voters probably won’t hold either his flexibility or his flip-flops against him.”
Thanks for that link to Sarah, Prose! The article was really nice.
But did you read the vile comments after the article?
Disgusting comments from eftist misogynists.
I thought the Left was all about having a “big tent”?
Nah.
Not if you’re a woman, a conservative or someone like Sarah who speaks the truth.
So happy you are here and all is well..
Maybe not with the world, but we will get to that later.
welcome back Hillbuzz..
that old wrong french toast thingy again huh???
Good to hear you are ok. If you need some time off for friends and family, and to take a mental health break, I understand, and encourage it. Maybe it would help to take the weekends off for yourselves and let us do what we’ve been doing the last several days in an open forum. I also agree that some of the regular bloggers could help in research and assisting in other areas to free up more of your time? I would be willing to help in any way I can. You are greatly appreciated and we have so much to accomplish in so little time.
YAY!! YOU’RE BACK! Missed you!
It’s D-Day! The Normandy Invasion was June 6, 1944 (and also my birthday, BTW, but not the same year)
The modern doctrine of using more than military strength to stabilize fragile nations like Iraq and Afghanistan has roots in a long forgotten speech Eisenhower gave in July 1951 at a dinner in London.
Ike felt that economic aid, diplomacy and information also played a part in transforming enemies into friends. Which we’ve done now for 60+ years.
That being said . . . “The hand of the aggressor is stayed by strength and strength alone!” Eisenhower asserted.
He continued: “I believe these people who talk about peace academically but who never had to dive in a ditch when a Messerschmitt 109 came over, they really don’t know what it is.”
Does this not fit Benito Obama to a T??
I miss the World War II generation terribly.
I miss those WW2 leaders too.
Did you hear that during the ceremonies today, PM Gordon Brown referred to the beach as Obama Beach?
I kid you not. I find that insulting!
BTW – Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday, NeeNee.
Happy Birthday, Nee Nee!
It’s my Dad’s birthday too.
Happy Birthday, Ms. Gemini! Wishing you a fantastic year!
FYI, Hillbuzz Boyz:
Since your return, for some reason my posts are almost instantaneous. And this is on the dial-up connection computer!
Good to have you back.
Today being 6 June, thoughts of D-Day is an obvious one, but also the conclusion of the Battle of Midway.
Tonight is game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Yes we can. Go Pens.
1. Welcome back!
2. Here in Virginia, we’re thinking about the race for Governor. There’s a 3-way race for the Democratic nomination between Creigh Deeds, Brian Moran, and Terry McAuliffe. Curious to hear others’ perspectives, especially on McAuliffe.
Forgot to mention — the Democratic primary’s on Tuesday.
And D-day, and the anniversary of the Battle of Midway.
And go Pens!
I am listening to Nicholas Sarkozy in his D-Day speech on CSPAN. Even through a translator, his words are more meaningful and more aligned with mine than those of our president. It was beautiful. Filled with gratitude to all of the allies of that dreadful war, Sarkozy also expressed a deep thanks to those young men from America who came to a far away place, who made the greatest sacrifice to defend the liberty of another.
Thank you, Mr. Sarkozy.
Did you see Mrs Sarkozy snub Obama? Sarky greeted him and then Obama was about to go to Carla standing next to her husband when she swept out past him and greeted Michelle instead. Obama looked surprised (that a woman wasn’t swooning in his presence?. I hear (from the Hillbuzz site, natch) that Carla Bruni can’t stand Obama.
Two things….I read that Brown made a mistake and called Omaha Beach Obama Beach. He referred to “Obama Beach,” then corrected himself to “Omaha Beach” a few words later, after a stir in the crowd. The suggestion was that he may have been confused by the French tabloid Liberation, which marked the president’s visit by splashing an “Obama Beach” on the cover of its weekend edition. It almost made me sick. Given the attitude Obama has about the military, and also about defending the US, one can only wonder what would have happened if he were at the helm on D-Day. Second: this hillbuzz mystery is almost surreal. I had thought that someone might have taken offense to some of hillbuzz’s insider type information, and then someone suggested the site was a “phishing” site, which seemed to me that they were suggesting we, hillbuzz fans, were being taken, and now the suggestion that maybe the real hillbuzz guys aren’t in control….sort of like the early ’50s sci fi bodysnatcher films….what are we to believe? Have the trolls taken over, or has hillbuzz triumphed over evil. If it really is you, hillbuzz, glad you are back….it was kind of scary.

WOW Garlic…That is so disturbing…Really nails it.
Talked to my Marine son tonight, who called to wish me happy birthday.
I’ve mentioned before that he NEVER comments on Benito Obama—just that “it doesn’t matter who the Commander in Chief is.”
Well, tonight when I asked him where his next duty station would be (14 months from now), he said “Afghanistan. Obama has 20,000 Marines there now (8,000 alone from Camp LeJeune, my son’s former base). It’s a tough nut to crack, but if they turn us loose—with the technology we have now vs. 2001—it could be done.” In his opinion, however, the Marines are still sent in with one hand tied behind their backs.
He then commented on Benito’s “date” in NYC last week which cost us $200,000. Not to mention the jaunt to Paris.
Original plans were to make the Marines a life career. He’s finishing up his 12th year in a few months and contemplating getting out. This is a young man who espoused conservative values and our founding fathers in junior high, listening to Rush with his mom. Joining the Marines was an outgrowth of this patriotism. However, I sense a seachange at the moment. And I can’t say I blame him. Can you imagine how disheartened our troops feel with the Puppetmaster-in-Chief yanking their strings??
Actually I just thought you were playing The Sims 3. Considering you guys disapperaed around June 2nd.
