Sarah Palin keeps gay men from dating in Chicago

Posted on November 29, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

We read a great piece on Sarah Palin today over at one of our favorite sites, www.Conservatives4Palin.com, that struck right to the heart of the matter regarding how unhinged Palin makes the Leftists.  We have never, ever in our lives witnessed hate as strong as what these loons launch at her.  It tops even George W. Bush and Cheney hate.  It tops REAGAN hate.  It’s unprecedented.

During Thanksgiving, all of us here did various volunteer assignments and stopped off for drinks here and there at various people’s houses, where we are always introduced as “our friend Sebastian, who is a Hillary Dem that likes Sarah too” or “Kevin, who is gay and used to be a Democrat but no longer after how they treated Hillary Clinton” or “Robby, who writes for that website and we can’t believe he wants to work for Sarah Palin”.

And, of course, the people introducing us know how much this will stir up, because the low-information fops in the room spill chardonnay all over themselves, like they would if Cheyenne Jackson was in the room and ripped off his face to reveal Bea Arthur.  Their brains literally can’t process who’s standing before them.  They’re just dumbfounded.  And then, when they regain the ability to speak, they start talking about how stupid Sarah Palin is, how irrelevant she is, and whatever else Anderson Cooper or Rachel Maddow told them to say.

If she’s so stupid, so irrelevant, and has no future in politics, then why does she induce brain aneurysms in these people, at the mere mention of her name?

There’s a great line in the C4P article above that hits on this meme, asking how often the musings of irrelevant people on Facebook, no less, warrant joint sessions of Congress by the current president for rebuttal.

We all flash back to this last August when the Chicago Diner, a vegetarian restaurant on Halsted in Boystown, used Sarah Palin shamelessly to commit charitable fraud.  At the Market Days Festival, while other restaurants had tip jars for their employees to solicit money from the crowd, the Chicago Diner decided to create fake “Sarah Palin Retirement Fund” jars that promised to give the money collected to Sarah Palin as she resigned her governorship and entered private life. Chicago Diner, a for-profit commercial enterprise, is forbidden under Illinois commerce clauses from misrepresenting itself as a “fund” for any purpose, though they refused to put a disclaimer on the jars clarifying the money was not going to Palin because, and we quote the manager we confronted about this, “then we would get less tips that way”.

When we talked about the Chicago Diner breaking the law and doing this last August, we caught a lot of heat for it in the LGBTQ community here in Boystown, with lots of nasty emails saying, “How can you stand up for Sarah Palin?”, “The Chicago Diner can do whatever it wants because we hate Palin,” and “It doesn’t matter if Chicago Diner is breaking the law because they are making fun of Palin and that’s good”.

It was crazy.  The language the Left uses to lash out makes sailors blush.  Marines have never heard some of the things these people toss around like so many non-dairy soy milkshakes. To think, they eat with those mouths.  It’s a wonder they aren’t riddled with cankers.

We still get people who say, “Aren’t you those DeMcCrats for McCain guys?  I hate you guys.  If you are gay, you must be Democrat,” because we canvassed Boystown for McCain/Palin in 2008 (mostly for Palin). So, standing up for Palin against the Chicago Diner, standing up to Sidetracks and other bars when they play misogynistic anti-Palin videos, and pushing back against whatever Anderson Cooper or Chris Matthews’ latest missive against Palin is, has meant being on the receiving end of a lot of nastiness for us on our home turf.

And, honestly, we say BRING IT.

Read that C4P article, which references Ayn Rand a lot, too.  One of the key points is that both Rand and Palin tapped into an innate goodness in America, a can-do spirit, an entrepreneurialism that’s so lacking in the Left.  The more they attack Palin, or attack us for standing up for her, the more we realize how little in common we have with the Left at all.

Besides hating Palin, what do they stand for?

Besides hating Hillary Clinton in the primaries, what did they stand for then?

Besides accusing anyone who doesn’t support Dr. Utopia of being a racist, what do they ever really have to say?

Let them eat their hate sandwiches and drink their irrational milkshakes inside the Chicago Diner all day, coming up with new charity scams, or whatever it is they do in there, but we’re going to keep being voices against the Left’s sexism and misogyny here in Boystown, whether they like it or not.

At Thanksgiving, someone told us all that we’d forever be single as long as we kept supporting Palin.  “This is different than Hillary,” they said, “because most gay men love Hillary.  But they hate Sarah.  If you keep supporting Sarah, no one will want to date you — they won’t be able to take it.  They will go crazy.”

We don’t know if that’s true or not, and frankly don’t care.  We went all-in with defeating Dr. Utopia back in 2007 and won’t stop until his socialist agenda itself is stopped.  We’ve never left campaign mode, and have honestly, between the lot of us, dated more people than any of us could ever want to date, so we aren’t too concerned about that.

This nation is more important than that nonsense.

There have been a couple of guys some of us have liked who we’ve wanted to go out with, and then they said something nasty, out of the blue, about Palin.  We’d stop them and say, “Well, actually, we like Governor Palin, and let us tell you why”.  And then we would talk about her record as a reformer, her belief in controlled government, her mission to get this country energy independent.  Their eyes would glaze and the two of us would realize we’d never even be friends, let alone anything else, but we’d make them listen to as much of the non-Matthews/Cooper/Olbermann take on Palin as we could cram in.

It’s what we plan on doing until such time as we can officially work for her campaign in 2012, at which point we’re sure the usual suspects around here will become completely unhinged again.  We bet there will be more rocks through our windows and hate mail galore.

But so be it.

We went rogue long before going rogue was even a concept, apparently.

Lovely history . . . It’s sad that supporting someone who believes in the strength of the individual over massive government is now “going rogue”. I became a registered republican while living in a sea of feminist leftist – I’m sure you have now discerned your true friends from the others by now.

We really do need a logo, symbol, slogan, color, or something to attract others who are also nonpartisan supporters of what’s good for our country.

Carrying the Palin bookjacket around is one great idea, especially if you also have a Hillary campaign button displayed on your person.

(If you need fresh cause for exasperation, try finding the current Palin book tour schedule, or information about today’s stop, via Google. All I found earlier today was more gratuitous Sarah-bashing.)

Hmmm. Isn’t there some hanky code in some gay bars? If you wear this color hanky around your arm, you want x. If you wear another color elsewhere, you want y. I don’t know. I read about it once and it had me very confused.

I like the image of the moose with red, white, and blue. I’d like to find one to put on my truck.

Yeah . . . a gay guy with a pickup. It’s almost lesbian of me. Honestly, I just have it to haul mulch for my garden . . . flower garden . . . NATIVE prairie flower garden. Oh god, I’ll never be butch enough.

LOL on the codes. Just don’t wear orange unless you mean it.

Personally, I think we should reserve the moose for Sarah herself.

We should use a PUMA. That works for those registered Republican, Democrat and Libertarian – or any other party. As for us independents, we’ve always been PUMA’s.

Besides, Pumas for Palin just.. works.

Do the haters know that as Gov, Sarah vetoed a bill that would take away benefits from gay couples because she thought that was unconstitutional ? Probably why there’s not much love for her from the GOP either. She doesn’t play politics with people’s lives.

Yup, she upheld the AK’s constitution regardless of her personal view re: gay marriage. She got hammered by the righties for that up in AK but for her sticking to the law was more important. Her best friend and college roomate, Tilly, was gay and Palin shrugged her shoulders and said, “doesn’t change anything she’s my friend and I love her.”
I’m pretty sure that if the people voted for gay marriage Palin as President would enforce it regardless of her personal views. She’d fight tooth and nail to make sure the voters’ will and the Const. was upheld. I seriously doubt Pres. Obama would have the testicular fortitude to do the same.
Palin doesn’t legislate her personal beliefs. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I truly struggle with being around people who are bleeding brain liberals…I don’t use heart, because I don’t think they have an American heart. In fact, I try to remove myself from having to deal with them. If I do have to deal with them, I carry a book around (before Going Rogue, it was anything that had Reagan on it) or I wear my Conservatives4Palin sweatshirt.

People have literally come up to me and pointed at my book or my shirt and say, “I can’t believe you are wearing that or reading that.” I answer back…”and I can’t believe you aren’t.” That usually shuts them up.

Thanks for the great post, Hillbuzz. I spend a lot of time over on C4P as “Recovering Democrat” …

This may be wishful thinking, but I believe Sarah Palin has a chance to TRULY bring this country together. She is the anti-Obama. As such she is everything he only pretends to be: a pragmatic reformer, a post-partisan uniter.

I realize that the “unity” seems a way off now. It seems impossible, frankly. But I have a little dream in my heart that after 4 years of the Fraud-In-Chief, the TRUTH of Sarah Palin will seem as refreshing as a cool breeze on a hot day.

Sarah had an 88% approval rating in libertarian Alaska.

I still have hope that people will give her the chance to help this country. Even though Reagan was despised by certain segments of the population, he remained very popular among the vast majority of Americans.

The stylist is absolutely correct. A nat’l convention is the red carpet of politics. God forbid Palin et al showing up in street clothes. Behar all but admitted the Palins were going to be mocked either way: event appropriate clothes or not.

Bottom line: Piss off Joy. Your’re a sh*t stain and only your mother likes you.

Honest. I don’t get it. I write funnier grocery lists. She is NEVER FUNNY!!! Ever. She is shrill, angry and perpetually bitchy…and none of it in a ‘good’ way.

I once read her ‘academics.’ She has a Master’s Degree in English. O. M. G!!! She was a public school teacher (she is dumb as a brick…and I am insulting building materials). Did you hear her ‘take’ on Black (trully…she said it is RAAACIST) Friday. Even Whoopi was like, WTF???

(And no!!!! I did NOT watch the View. I will never watch the View…it was a YouTube ‘This Chick is Nutz’ post.)

Sorry to all the women out there in varying degrees the same life change, but that woman is the poster girl for long term menopausal deficiencies. She is off her rocker! She is annoying, ney she is horrifying. She is the ultimate insecticide, since you simply have to tune into her show to have everything that crawls and flies within 500 feet of the tube keel over and die.

She’s an insecure, hateful, jealous harridan who denigrates any woman she perceives as being better looking, wittier or smarter than herself … which is pretty much every woman on the planet.

Your site is an inspiring read!
Regarding the prevalent and rampant misogyny toward conservative women, here is my recent personal experience. Two long-time women friends, self-styled “independent” Democrats at the voting booth, have recently erupted with fits of venom toward iconic Sarah P., whom I have been admiring alongside a long list of conservative bloggers, such as your site. Now what would provoke otherwise intelligent, sensible, sane, responsible, and very accepting women to trash a book they haven’t read by a woman they cannot bear to look at?!
One theory that matches the situation is the Freudian theory of psychological projection, which has is that what we deny about the sewage hidden in our subconscious, we in turn project upon our perceived enemies (competitors included). Nazis, liberal fascists and muslims are masters of this sort of denial and projection. So it seems are the bobble-heads of MSM. It’s like their psychic sewage is floating as scum to the surface for reexamination.
Now I don’t really want to know what psychic demons ferment in my friends’ subconscious vaults, ready to spew; but I think it advisable to stay a safe distance away. Clearing that deluded stuff is a job for professionals, to be sure. Meanwhile, I look toward wiser friends.

I think it’s unadmitted jealousy. They’re miserable their lives having pursued the feminist dream and ideals. Maybe they’ve had abortions or forgone having kids. Maybe they’ve never married or had bad marriage. Maybe they had a 4.0 at Princeton, got a partnership in a lawfirm at 25 and drive a Porche and they’re STILL simply unhappy with who they are. They have miserable holidays, forgotten birthdays and their vacations are solo.

And along comes Sarah— beautiful, bright, well loved by family and friends, a hunk of a hubby that adores her (and she him) a house full of kids and a clearly abortable child that she decided have and love.

Most of all, she’s happy…REALLY happy and people love her. She could walk away and go home to a house full of happiness and love.

THAT’s what gets them….they thought they could have it all and instead, Sarah is the one who does.

I agree. Their kids, if they have them, were being raised by nannies while Sarah was canvassing door to door with little Track and Bristol on their sled behind her.

Besides, Sarah and Bristol, just by existing, have basically blown up most the the Palin-hating feminists’ arguments for why abortion is “necessary.” Fetuses with Down Syndrome need to be allowed to be aborted because those babies will live miserable lives and their parents will suffer under the stress! Women need to be allowed to have abortions so their careers won’t be burdened down by children! Teenage girls need to be allowed to have abortions because otherwise they won’t be educated! Unless a baby is conceived in ideal circumstances, s/he and the parents will have miserable, miserable lives!

I’d be willing to bet that a lot of them had abortions and told themselves it was necessary if they wanted to finish school or have a career. Then Sarah becomes mayor, governor, VP candidate, and political sensation and they realize that everything they told themselves about why they had to have an abortion was a lie.

You hit it. Not just because of the abortions, but also because she’s attractive, non-neurotic, selfless… and obviously a lot happier with her life than they are with theirs. She’s the poster gal for the Judeo-Christian virtues that they’re trying to annihilate.

In a nutshell, Palin Derangement Syndrome.

You have a great point, Michael F. For the men who hate Palin, I think it stems from some latent misogyny that they suppress when it somces to liberalism and let fly when it comes to Sarah. Part of that could be due to sexual frustration over the fact that conservative women won’t sleep with them as readily.

You’re real patriots, guys. Thanks for employing both your minds and your spines in the service of America.

A while back you were talking about the fact that people need something to blame before they’ll retract support for someone who’s turned out to be a mistake. I keep thinking that if people could just repeatedly hear Obama in his own words from the campaign, placed up against current reality in office, more people would just turn against him outright, with a scapegoat or without! Clips of him railing about the importance of Afghanistan contrasted with his current “dithering”. Promises of transparency, with congressional bills posted for public discussion, bipartisanship, etc contrasted with reality. All of his whitewashed socialist statements during the campaign and quickly-dismissed radical and corrupt associations put up against what informed Americans now know. Remember the Biden local TV news interview (Florida, I think) in which the anchor asked about Marxist views? Biden acted incredulous and insulted, then the campaign banned the TV station from ever receiving another interview. How can we get Americans to remember, open their eyes, and LOOK?

Sarah Palin is an unjustly vilified wife, mother, and reformer whose likability cannot be tarnished by the unhinged, woman-bashing Obamabot leftists.

Ayn Rand was a twisted, un-American nutjob whose selfish psychobabble is nice when you’re a 18 year college freshman, but laughable once you grow up and realize the world does not revolve around you. Well most people realize that, the rest become objectivists. Her followers brought down the American economy, which should be enough to consign her to the dustpan of history. But of course, even Nazism still has its head-in-the-sand followers.

Sarah Palin does not deserve such a comparison. The two women would hate each others guts, but only Sarah would be right. C4Palin’s article is way, way off on that one.

I should imagine many gay guys don’t even know who Anita Bryant is. I am 40 (that’s ancient in gay years, by-the-way), and I only barely remember her. She was from Florida, fought against gay rights, and advertised orange juice.

I was 9 in 1978, but perhaps more politically aware than others my age. Jimmy Carter turned me into a Republican. Ronald Reagan cemented it. “Coming out” didn’t change that and it didn’t change my commitment to Jesus either. I was both Republican and Christian (not in that order) before I knew what gay was.

Palin has never attacked Gays in the way Anita Bryant did!

You do Palin no service by comparing her to a true Homophobe like Bryant.

Bryant attempted to overturn anti-discrimination ordinances in Dade County; Palin has never done anything similar in her political career.

Bryant was mentally ill. Check out her Playboy interview for an insight into her deranged mind. In it, Anita raves on and on about Gay Men drinking sperm. This rather specific and narrow topic really fascinated her.

      So, Palin is NOT Bryant
      And
      Bryant is NOT Palin.

They are two seperate individuals, who just happen to be conservative women.

    16. (ASKED OF LEANED REPUBLICANS) If the 2012 Republican presidential primary or caucus in your state were being held today, for whom would you vote?

    Bobby Jindal 1
    Ron Paul 1

Update #2: Only 24% of the adults polled say they would definitely vote to re-elect Obama in 2012. 41% of the adults polled say they definitely would not vote for him.

And many assume that if you are gay and Episcopalian, you must be a liberal and are cool with Republican/conservative bashing. He scared us a little because he was so aggressive towards the Soviets but he immediately stopped the free-fall that Jimmy Carter started with his naive arrogance in the Middle East. Obama so reminds me of Jimmy Carter. It’s the same exact deal except I don’t think Carter hated the U.S. the way Obama does. He didn’t have an axe to grind. I don’t think Palin is a Ronald Reagan but I think collectively the grass roots feeling among Americans is. We want to feel safe and secure. We want to be proud of our country. We don’t want constant angst. The era of Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel has been bad for this country. We need to get people eleccted who will change the system so career politicians can’t dominate government and corrupt the country. We need to vote these idiots out of office. We need a new generation of people who won’t take $300 million for their vote but who will vote for what their people tell them to vote for. Washington has stopped listening to the people…and they need to pay the price. We need Sarah Palin to help get that message across.

Anybody see Chuck Woolery on Huckabee last weekend? Now there’s a man who should run for office. Said the term “career politician” must be phased out … two terms and they’re out, no matter who they are … otherwise they become too powerful. (Greedy, dangerous and easily bought.) Perhaps there’s video on The Huckstser’s website or on YouTube … it’s one interview well worth seeking out. Quite refreshing when compared to the lefty drivel spewed in this town.

Just read this – Rep. Louis Gohmert and 40 co-sponsors are proposing a bill that will require the 9/11 co-conspirators to remain at GITMO and be tried before a military tribunal:

If you agree with this, please click on the link and see if your representative’s name is on the bill; if not, be sure and light a fire under them…..

As a liberty minded anti-socialist anti-government gay guy (the anti- learned from having relatives behind the iron curtain in Prague, to whom I can speak to in Czech; gives a whole new meaning to “inside” info,) I have lost many a date over the past 30 or so years for my political views, sometimes right in the middle of dinner. All I want is nooky, and the leftists among us want to talk politics, — no, actually government takeover of life and how we shall capitulate as quickly as possible. Oh well, to the trenches for Liberty, where someone waits for me.

Jim . . . once, before I was in a monogamous relationship, I was mid-nook (if you will) when I had to throw a guy outa bed and outa my house. In the throes of passion, he made some crack about Bob Dole (a real show-stopper for a then-20something guy). That was it. He was gone. My inner redneck came out and I told him to g-g-go, n-n-now!!!!!!!

We have dear friends who are from Poland, lived through the dark years, and having dinner with them a few weeks ago, they are horrified at Obama’s plans. They said, “We came to America to get away from this, and now they want to turn America into what we escaped!”

Sorry I’m late to this thread but my 11 year old daughter got on the local news here in Central Florida at the Sarah Palin book signing last week…she said “not many people support her, but the smart ones do and that’s why I’m here.” I was so proud!

I just came across this, and had to come ‘here’ to HillBuzz to post.

Our FLOTUS (did you know she has buff arms? I read it on the internets!) has BEATEN (won, achieved over, been selected) as the most fashionable (I can barely type this I am laughing so hard) ‘First Spouse’ on the Planet. Carla Bruni came in second.

Obviously, ACORN has a EuroChapter and they stuffed the ballot boxes. “New” Black Panthers probably stood guard at some ‘official’ polling fashion houses…threatening more than ‘popped zippers.’

Michelle, of the BoobBelts, upholestery fabric dresses, $540 sneakers, too small sweater sets, and ‘Mr. Coffee meets Wilma Flintstone’ Inaugural gownage IS THE MOST FASHIONABLE WOMAN IN THE WORLD.

We trully are in the End Times.

I read some of the comments that people made in the article and a lot were “spot on”. I cannot fathom anyone considering MO the best dressed. BTW, I liked your “Mr. Coffee meets Wilma Flinston” comment.

I’m a gay Republican guy in New York and I’ve had several cases where I’ve been in a bar chatting with a guy and politics come up and I say I’m Republican, they simply look at me with disgust and walk away saying they don’t ever want to speak to anyone like me again.

I just laugh it off, I wouldn’t want to talk to them either anymore.

We must encourage Gov. Palin to start speaking more and more on policy. She’s got got great instincts and the book tour is connecting her with more Americans. To be considered a serious player in whatever she does, she must study, learn and speak with depth on important issues now.
