Ron Paul Won Nevada Caucus – And Nevada Voters Lost
While you were busy enjoying your bread and circuses yesterday, operatives from the Nevada GOP–aided and abetted by all four cable “news” networks–were busily manipulating the results of the Nevada Caucuses, handing another undeserved victory to Mittens “It’s My Turn, Peasants” Romneycare.
You probably aren’t aware of this, because the TeeVee told you that Mitt Romney won, nothing to see here, move along now, after a mere 5% of the vote had been counted.
But what the TeeVee didn’t tell you–for about an entire day–is that the Nevada GOP refused to release the results from Clark County, Nevada’s most populous county and the home of 60% of Nevada’s registered voters. In fact, as of this writing, more than 30 hours after the last caucus closed, the Nevada Caucuses are still not decided. (Well, not in the “lawfully and transparently counting the votes to see who got the most” sense. They’ve already been decided in the “we count the votes, and we already decided in advance that Mittens was going to win” sense.)
Here’s some coverage of the “special caucus” that Newt’s billionaire casino magnate backer bought for him. It was the last caucus that took place, and is in Clark County, where 60% of all Nevada voters are located. Later that night, CNN also aired the live counting of the votes at that caucus. In the video below, CNN joins the event at the point where the candidates’ supporters were giving stump speeches. Over two dozen caucus voters spoke on Ron Paul’s behalf, in an audience that was expected to be largely Seventh-Day Adventists and Orthodox Jews. Romney, Gingrich and Santorum only inspired two or three supporters to speak on their behalf, according to one witness who voted at the caucus.
Here are the results, counted and announced live on CNN:
Ron Paul: 183
Mittens Romney: 61
Newt Gingrich: 57
Rick Santorum: 16
It’s remarkable that the total is so high, given the fact that the caucus organizers forced those who wanted to vote to sign a “religious declaration” affidavit before giving them a ballot, likely in violation of the Voting Rights Act.
Even with religious discrimination the results favored Ron Paul, as the Paul campaign expected, based on their internal polling. (At some point in the past two weeks, I read that the Paul campaign had identified over 20,000 definite Ron Paul voters in advance of the caucuses. I’ll post a source if I can find it.)
Ron Paul’s vote totals have more than doubled in every primary or caucus so far over his 2008 totals, and since he has had a massive organization in Nevada for four years, and Nevada is a libertarian state, he was expected to either win or tie for first place. And in the ONE large Clark County caucus where the votes were counted in public, on live television, Ron Paul won by a landslide, as was expected.
Apparently, that was bad news for those in the Cocktail Party GOP in Nevada.
Miraculously, “irregularities” were quickly found that required the party operatives to sequester themselves in a smoke-filled room and “recount” the votes from Clark County (until they get the totals they had decided upon in advance?)
At 3:10 a.m. Monday, nearly 10% of the votes have still not been reported. At this point, Ron Paul is listed in third place with only 5,901 votes–fewer votes than he received in 2008, when he placed second to Mitt Romney in the Nevada caucuses.
And just as miraculously, the chairwoman of the GOP in Nevada resigned effective 12:01 Sunday morning, in a move she claimed was pre-planned and had nothing whatsoever to do with the voter fraud the Nevada GOP was apparently undertaking.
Here’s a shorter version of events of the caucus voting and counting.
Move along, peasants. Nothing to see here. Turn up the surround sound and pass the hot wings.

Well this caucus was for Jews who couldn't vote early on. But the Ron Paul crowd turned up and tried to get in even thou they were not Jewish.
Mitt Romney did win, his supporters are not outspoken.
Right, so if they voted for Ron Paul they weren't Jewish? Have you checked with a rabbi on that? Does that automatically mean you aren't a Jew? The only thing I know for SURE is that someone with the name "Chris" is not a Jew and might have a hard time claiming those voters weren't Jews…
Wow, there surely seems to be a pattern developing here considering the foul up with the Iowa vote counts as well. One has to wonder why Ron Paul campaign isn't screaming blody murder about this?
The Republican elite prove once again that the only difference between them and the leftist Dems is a letter.
Just my experience from a caucus in a rural area in Nevada — and I counted the votes with others looking on. Mitt did win our precinct, fair and square. I'll go online and double-check what was posted on the state site when that is available, to make sure it is the same as our report. Newt came in far behind everybody else. Our caucuses do have a secret ballot, not group votes.
If true, and I do not doubt for a second what you are saying, then it is all over and it will be Rat Boy Romney vs. Buffoon Obama in Nov. Just like in Iowa, they declared Rat Boy the winner when in fact he was not the winner but the damage had already ben done and everyone still thinks Rat Boy won. The GOPiss will just keep up with their cheating ways all the way to the end. Also, it seems that the LSM has split their efforts, they still cover for the Buffoon but are also hell-bent on shoving Rat Boy down our throats.
This is interesting, my son a 17 yr old political junkie was telling me base don his research Ron Paul should having been kicking ass in Nevada…
That's not reflected anywhere in the polls. In fact, he did better than the polls predicted, so… http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/pres…
I attended the caucus in Nevada on Saturday and I have to tell you that I am not at all sure that Ron Paul was the winner. I live a rural county that had a lot of Ron Paul supporters as did most of the rural counties. As a matter of fact, the number of people attending the campaign visit by Paul and Romney had equal attendance here. However…..you have to also remember that especially rural Nevada is also VERY LDS (Morman). Romney won in my group as well as the rest of the precients in my county over Ron Paul. If you take the time to look at the local results in the rural counties of Nevada, Romney took all but one small county. As far as Clark County (Las Vegas area) is concerned, I cannot say. However, my brother did attend the caucus in Clark County and he said it was a HUGE mess…so you never know!
This writer seems to echo your frustration, Kathleen. This is the most recent report I have found. All of the others, trailing by only a few hours, are reporting a landslide for Romney:
http://www.examiner.com/independent-in-national/f…
This writer also reports some stats on the hemorrhaging of Republicans from the party.
Bastards, every one!
What were the vote counts for the daytime Clark Co. caucus (where many more people would have voted)? Everything I am reading about possible fraud seems to come across as though the nighttime caucus was the definitive vote, but it wouldn't have been. If Romney won most of the large daytime caucus but Paul won most of the small nighttime caucus, Romney wins the county. Obviously.
Also, it is absurd that people could only attend the night caucus for religious reasons. If Clark Co. wanted to insure that people could vote after the Saturday Sabbath ended, that is fair, but they should have done so by simply having two differently timed *open* caucus', or only a nighttime caucus. Having one set up to only serve particular religious voters while keeping other voters out has got to be illegal in some way, and only caused a mess. Who came up with that set-up? Can they be fired?
Mitt and Barack are both seemingly pushing like-minded ideals, there's not much difference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0nUDUYl8sA&fe… Look it up. Vote for Mitt now. I dare you. Stand up. The people should not fear their government, but the government should fear it's people. Don't cower.
Although the MSM declared Romney won so early, I unfortunately believe he did. I am an insider hard core Paul supporter and know all the players. There were huge problems in Clark Co and a few problems throughout the various counties. All were checked by representatives from all four campaigns and signed off on every concern.
Where Ron Paul’s supporters failed was because THEY DID NOT SHOW UP TO VOTE or simply never got around to changing there registration to Republican. I was as shocked as everyone else about the actual support that Romney had here in Nevada.
Another thing that you missed is the Republican “leadership” is Ron Paul supporters so that is why we actually had a fair count and that is why it actually took so long. They had to make sure that it was accurate.
If Americans are repentant, RP will win, if not, we will get what we surely deserve! Obama and Mitt—No difference! Newt or Santorum— Same as Bush! Any vote other than RP is a wasted vote and we will end up judged! Mark my words! The Bible says: "When there is a righteous king, the people rejoice. When there is an evil king, the people mourn!" We've had a bunch of evil kings for many years, Why don't we just try something really new now and go back to the advice of our founders? Vote Ron Paul!
There is no doubt whatever Ron Paul was the winner by a good margin but was blacked out AGAIN.
To vote for Mitt because he is LDS is the same stupidity as the people who voted for Bo bacuse he is black.
