REMINDER: Turn your clocks back one hour tonight
At 2am, the time in most places falls back 1 hour here in the US.
If you are in bars, this means you actually get an extra hour to drink, because once the clock strikes 2am, it becomes 1am, meaning there’s two more hours before most bars in Chicago have to close (at 3am on Saturdays).
So, don’t forget about the time change and be an hour early for everything tomorrow morning, mad all your friends are late for breakfast or whatever, when you just don’t know what time it is.
Though, today, with so many people not even wearing watches anymore, and instead using their phones to tell time…with auto date and time updates…I wonder how much of a difference these “Turn Back the Clocks” reminders make anymore.
But, still, don’t forget.

I heard on Fox News this morning that they’re now using Daylight Saving’s Time in Tijuana, Mex. too. Hmm….why even have that pesky old boarder?
Except in Saskatchewan (hard to spell, easy to draw!)
My husband grew up there!
I love the end of Daylight Savings Time! Plus, my 8 year old just came up excited to tell me that Benjamin Franklin “invented” it! LOL
Mostly I just like getting an extra hour of sleep and waking up to sunlight instead of pitch darkness.
But I SO remember the bar days when we would love that couple extra hours of partying! Don’t miss it though.
Happy about the mornings and how it’ll make it easier to get the eff out of bed. Crappy about the drive home from work, though …
There is nothing worse (well okay, watching Obozo give a speech about anything is worse) than lying in bed with your eyes closed anticipating that the alarm will go off in about a half hour, only to have it GO THE HELL OFF IN FOUR SECONDS.
And then a warm, purring kittycat blinks blearily at you and puts her head back down as if to say, “Sucks to be you, lady.”
That’s for tonight. If Obama has his way we’ll be turning them back to the 7th century.
Oh man I was just thinking about this yesterday. Typical me thought process, as usual. I’m driving and going “Isn’t it almost time to fall back? Did we fall back already and I just don’t know it?”
I loathe the whole thing…I’m discombubulated for at least a week every time it happens.
I do love the extra hour to drink thing though.
haha, we are now in the middle of DST in Australia. We moved our clocks forward in October!!
I have been experiencing DST for more than 40 years. From memory, it started over here back in the 1960s.
luckily, where I’m at, the time remains the same. but back home, have alerted my folks.
We don’t mess with Father Time here in Arizona….
