QUESTION: What else is he hiding? Obama White House bans photographers from taking picture of him shirtless…and meek and timid press obey!
Has he gotten worse than this? Is that why he won't allow his picture to be taken? This shot is from 2008. Recently, it looks like Obama has had extreme weight loss. And not from working out. Is he hiding something health-related, perhaps a chronic condition the White House doesn't want talked about?
Straight guys almost never care if anyone takes pictures of them shirtless. They are heterosexual. They are secure in their bodies. They just don't care. See Ted Kennedy above. But, hopefully not just after you've eaten.
In a shocking display of timidity towards the White House, the national media has bowed to a White House dictate that they no longer photograph Obama shirtless.
The New York Times actually admits it’s complying with a White House fiat that Obama not be photographed without his shirt on, unless the water is covering his neck.
Can you imagine if George W. Bush had issued such an order?
The Hubble Space Telescope would have been enlisted by the enterprising media to snag paparazzi-grade prohibited shots of him, shirtless, eight days a week.
This started last year in Florida, when Obama went into the Gulf water and told reporters, point blank, “I’m not going to let you guys take a picture of me with my shirt off”. Secret Service then restrained the press, parking them at a distance even their telephoto lenses couldn’t reach Obama’s naked skin.
Can you imagine if George W. Bush had used any combination of words that sounded even vaguely similar to “I’m not going to let you guys [fill in this blank]“?
Here in Boystown, if a guy won’t take off his shirt for whatever reason, or demands people don’t take pictures of him with said shirt off (like at Pride, or during the Market Days street festival), it’s because Mary is ashamed of himself, his body, and has not been hitting the gym like he should be…if he wants to keep up with all the worked-out, buff, Brendens in our looks-obsessed little microcosm.
It’s incredibly rare to encounter a real-life, heterosexual man over the age of 30 who gives a damn whether someone takes a picture of him shirtless or not. Straight guys usually are secure enough in themselves to just let it all hang out. Ever see pictures of Ted Kennedy at the beach?
They’re marvelous for hanging on your fridge and inhibiting your appetite…and good examples of a man secure with himself, his sexuality, and his blubber, while on vacation.
There’s an endless list of things that are strange about our current president…but his obsession with control over his image and all information about him, particularly about his past, is the absolute most bizarre…considering how it’s nothing like any president before him, or any straight man I’ve ever known of.
Hmmmm…wonder what the reason for THAT could be.

OH, and why is NO ONE talking about or pointing out that Governor Abercrombie came out with his emphatic statement about no one getting the birth certificate WHILE OBAMA IS VACATIONING IN HAWAII? No one is curious if they met? No one is curious what Obama promised if Abercrombie did this? No one…? No one…? Hello. Is this thing on?
I really think the no photo deal is to hid his weight loss. Look at his legs and knees in pictures and videos. In particular if the wind is blowing, look at the legs. They are frail looking like a "frail little man". Not healthy at all – not for such an athlete as HE.
The days of wowzing the fawning female press by doing arm (bicep) curls with 32kg dumbbell weights–if he ever could do so (that's 70 lbs, folks)–are so over. I estimate he looks like he'd be lucky to curl 20lbs. He doesn't have the bulk to go more. (I curl 12–15 if I'm really on it and my left shoulder isn't complaining, and yes I'm a lady and not a kid, and it took a year of training to get there).
I suspect Abercrombie, who claims to have known the grandparents and Mommy Dearest, has got something up his sleeve–like a faked-out document.
I always did love that picture of Senator Teddy carrying around his feeding funnel.

Transparency doesn't apply to BO, not his life, not his politics, not his devious backroom deals and shadow government, nothing. I really don't want to see him without his shirt (or at all, come to think of it), but you're right, straight guys don't care about how fat and disgusting they get.
First off from a personal standpoint, I can say I actually agree with the White House on this issue (maybe the first in 2 years for me). I DO NOW WANT TO SEE HIS CHEST. I see nothing there that would make me want to see him or think of him as Manly or Masculine. Should they take pictures of him shirtless – YES if the situation makes itself available.
In reality, the White House can "issue" requests all day long (most Presidents have made requests of the press – it depends on what mood the press is in whither or not to follow them). The press SHOULD do it's job and investigate him and his administration for a growing list of offenses. This "no-photo demand" is something to keep people talking for a couple of weeks about. It is minor in the scheme of the Obama administration and is to keep people busy and put the serious issues on the "back-burner". They have done this for 2 years (in office) and a year (running for office). They keep everyone busy on the little things and everyone forgets or does not push on the BIG issues. They do this week in and week out – there is always some LITTLE thing to keep us talking and busy and they get by with the BIG things. If a little issue lasts 1-2 weeks, then you only need a few to keep everyone busy for a year. If this keeps up he will be safe in office for the next two years. If everyone catches on to it and the Republicans (and like minded Democrats) will investigate him and get him impeached and out of office way before the two years are up. That is what I hope happens – get him impeached and lets put the whole lot in Federal Prisons for the crimes committed.

Press freedom aside, I think this has a silver lining:
(1) No more topless Obama photos.
(2) No more people pretending (? it has to be a pretense, right?) to swoon over his allegedly awesome body.
(3) No more wondering if you're missing something, and maybe letting your intense dislike of the man get in the way of a good ogle.
(Okay, that one may just be me. Yes, I came to my senses.)
