Question: Has the Democrats' Civil War already begun?
We fully expect the Democrat Party to essentially collapse some time after the November elections, with all-out war declared on the Leftists who took over the party in 2008.
The losses come November will be “unprecedented”, to borrow the current president’s favorite word (perhaps, like his books, also written for him by William Ayers).
Democrats love playing the blame game.
Democrat donors, who have given millions to the DNC, won’t love getting so little for their massive infusions of cash. Many wealthy people bet the farm on Dr. Utopia and the delusion his Liberal takeover of the Democrat Party would bring great riches to all of them, and the fruition of many insane dreams these rich loons have been nursing since their Ivy League dreamer days under the indoctrination of their bearded Lefty professors.
The MSM will suffer a major backlash, for having pushed the Utopia agenda and his takeover of the party. They promised “30 years of Democrat hegemony”, and many fools in the party believed them. Rich fools, who ponied up plenty of cash for what in 2010 will be major losing efforts.
There’s going to be Hell to pay.
The Centrists in the party, driven underground now, have been as quiet as the Democrat conservatives (who often seem rarer than unicorns). But, both parties have moderates, conservatives, and liberals. People tend to forget there are liberal Republicans, just as many ignore the conservative Democrats.
Essentially, that’s what we are, we realize…though the DNC has almost pushed us out of the party completely, to the point where we’re practically Independents.
Serious losses in 2010 under the Leftist agenda will cause the conservatives and moderates who still love the Party to step up and work to oust the radicals who have driven the Democrats to ruin. We see the prep getting ready for this…but have always thought it would take the actual losses in November for moves to be made against the current DNC.
Maybe this Civil War has already begun…and Evan Bayh’s retirement will ultimately be seen as the opening volley and first shot fired.
This act by Bayh is being called a vote of no confidence in Dr. Utopia and his radicals.
We see it for what it really is — Bayh wanting to get out of the Senate before he is defeated, and before he has to rack up any more crazy votes that will doom his future presidential intentions. We have news for Bayh — his December 24th, 2009 vote for the despicable Healthcare Rationing bill already prevents him from ever being president or vice president. If we have anything to say about it…and we sure as Hell plan to.
What do you think?
Do you think the Civil War in the DNC has already started…or do you think, as we did, that the Civil War won’t really start for Democrats until the “unprecedented” losses in November?
What do you think is to come?

Yep, HB, you guys nailed it!
moderate lifelong dems like Lady Lynn have indicated they are no longer democrats nor are they fundraising for this lunatic party now.
I think another one of these moderate dems is John Coale? (Greta’s hubby)
Both of these dems were PUMAs in 2008, I suspect there are many many more massive fundraisers for the dem. party that have left the party.
BTW.. I just saw on Hannity’s show… Jeb Bush in 2012. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry, as much as I would rather have Bush back rather than the Marxist fraud, NO more Bushes in 2012. Sorry, no!
Yeah. Am done with Bushes in the White House. Let’s move on to a new gene pool.
Surely the GOP is not that stupid?!?!?
If I had a dime for every purported candidate in 2012 I could retire to a very expensive condo overlooking Diamond Head… today. [Don't I wish!!!!! I can be packed and outta here in 15 minutes!]
It’s a long way to 2012.
HB… don’t forget.. not only unprecented… but historic as well !
Historic? Or hysteric?
I think the opening salvo was the formation of PUMA, but maybe Bayh’s retirement is the “official” start of the civil war within the Party. After all, the rank and file don’t count; only the elected (and selected) pols do.
The November elections will escalate the war. I personally have no stomach for trying to reform the Party, nor would I ever rejoin it or join any party again.
I’m not sure what the Party operatives will do after they get clobbered in the midterms, but I’m looking forward to finding out. I believe regardless of what tack they take, they won’t be seeing the inside of the White House for years and years to come. They’re toast.
Heya Bud,
Did you make it back to Jersey safe and sound?
Yep, thanks for asking. The movers ruined lots of our stuff (got it soaking wet), but no human casualties. Am now working on getting brother back into the system. I’ll probably call on Sarah Palin for help. I think it might help her–and all of us–to know what goes on in the lives of dev. disabled ADULTS and their caretakers who don’t have the resources she does.
I’m back, New Jersey, and so is my big mouth, so look out!
Speaking of speaking out, the thought police are in full force in Jersey. This is a story for another day though.
Hope you’re doing well and school is going smoothly. Hope you’re finding some time to REST, too!!
Don’t worry, we know who the RINO’s and FCINO’s are, especially if you know #demonsheep. I think there are a lot in congress taking a good look at themselves knowing we are too. My favorite dem ever was Zell Miller.
Civil War has begun and it’s getting harder and harder for Obama to reign them in. He puts our false stories, false “facts”, and blames everyone else. While he is a pro at it, many others aren’t. He has never known the meaning of “Responsibility” or “Respect.” He once worked at an ice cream store and gave it away to his friends, just like he is doing now. His parents never taught him decency, just that Americans we rich and bad and should help the rest of the world. Of course he never realized he was just that.
So we do what they are trying to do and that is break them apart. Thank you.
I know Rush was reading parts of Hitler’s MEIN KAMPF and it sounded just like Obama…
HB, I agree that there are some massive problems with the Dems and while it would be nice to step aside and watch it happen, the Repubs need to get their @$$es in gear NOW and come up with a common sense agenda that Republicans, Independents, and these centrist and conservatives Dems can all get behind and support.
This year they’re going to gain no matter what, but it all hinges on what happens after the election; as it is the Repubs in office are sitting on their hands, which I think could come back to bite them when 2012 rolls around.
This war was inevitable because Obama and his peeps did not do enough to “make up” with the Hillary Dems. He did not respect her enough and he did not respect us. And he’s only gotten worse. And don’t get me started on the Florida and Michigan nightmare primaries.
P.S. Now it’s our turn to give him the finger. Because we are cool too.
“Obama and his peeps did not do enough to “make up” with the Hillary Dems”
Heck LeighB, I don’t remember them ever trying to “make up” with us, in fact I recall they first told us to “fall in line”. Then the obots said they didn’t need us, that there were so few of us it wouldn’t matter.
I agree with Garlic, PUMAs started the revolt and it seems everyone else is starting to catch on now.
Right, Kei! Their attempt to “make nice” was the refrain, “Get over it!” followed by “Bitter sore-loser b*tches!”
I don’t know. I would agree with you if it weren’t for one thing: all the so-called conservative and moderate dems in office right now voted in lock-step with the rest of the party. Maybe there are conservative and moderate dems (like yourselves, HB), but none of them are in congress right now. You can’t convince me that there ARE any in there now; if there were, SOMEBODY would’ve had the nerve to vote with their constituency and against the ‘party-line’. Not even ONE of them squeaked out even one little squeak of protest until after the MA election when they suddenly were hearing footsteps behind them for reelection.
Agreed.
The time to prove they had common sense was over the last year. They failed.
HB– I hope you’re right, but I think you’re dreaming. In any event, this type of thought lulls people into sitting back and not working to overthrow the horrible government we have.
I totally agree and I am not buying into Bayh’s conversion back to sanity. He and every Dem who voted for the 2000+ page government takeover need to GO! And stay gone!
So you consider yourselves Conservative Democrats? That makes sense. I think that is why we get along. There are a lot of Americans who are fiscal conservatives. And I think we can agree at least on that, and we may differ on social issues, but that need not stop us from working together and saving our country from collapse.
If Bayh really resigned to protest the radicalization of the Demo party, why did he manage to it just days short of allowing others to file petitions to run for the seat? He did that so the party elites could pick the candidate, not the party members. Seems mighty anti-democratic to me.
Bingo. Bayh resigned to save whatever shred of credibility he thinks he has left. To those of us who have been watching closely, he has none. I think he, like the rest of those who voted for Obamacare, truly believed we would all love the bill “after we understood it” and that it and Utopia’s personality would help them win re-election. I would like to think that the Clintons have orchestrated the civil war but I don’t even think they predicted Scott Brown’s election. That this site exists is evidence that the civil war started two years ago. Brown’s election caused the party leadership and elected officials to finally take notice and now they are choosin sides.
HB presents the most insightful and accurate thoughts in their analysis. I also think that we the REGULAR people have been forced to actually learn and absorb more about politics than we ever thought we needed to. Having said that, however, I also feel that it is more than obvious that the Boyz are right inasmuch as there are major problems with both parties.
It is up to us, the voters, to make sure that those that are to be elected are the people who will actually represent us according to our wishes.
Obozo will be poison to have on the campaign trail for dems dluring this election season just as former President Bush was for repubs at the end of his term.
Speaking of civil war in Demland. . .did you see this WaPo article suggesting that BHO has never gained footing as President and maybe he is better suited for the next SCOTUS position??
Even more strange were the number of reader comments that expressed less than compliments about BHO and the writer. Also,
see the unscientific survey of readers saying BHO is NOT qualifIed for being President, SCOTUS or Senator!!!! Remember this is an article in the WASHINGTON POST!!!
The article is titled – Supreme Court Justice Barack Obama?http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/18/AR2010021803275.html
Hillbuzz, what percentage of democrats do you think would cross over to vote for Palin in 2012 instead of Obama? And what percentage would do the same for say Mitt Romney?
Theres always some crossover voting.
Would you guys seriously not support Hillary if it meant supporting Bayh as her VP? I’m no fan of either and would be delighted if you supported Palin instead (assuming a Palin/Clinton contest) but even your most casual fans would, I think, understand looking past Bayh’s December 24 vote if it meant getting HRC back to the White House.
Please remember that Bayh also voted in lockstep to increase the National debt by $1.9 trillion. He also voted yea to put the Becker dude on the Labor Relations Board. This guy wants to promote card check and ensure more union takeovers of the country. Bayh is from a right-to-work state and voted for a union bigwig. Once he decided to vote lockstep with the O, he has kept it up.
I am from Indiana. No one was happier than I was to hear his announcement this week. I was just surprised to see the Boyz say they would not support him even as a VP candidate.
AFinch, I just meant that Bayh has shown his true colors and would not stand up for what he says he believes in. A yes man or ma’am is not exactly what any president needs. They need someone to govern with them, to have ideas, and to challenge every now and then. O is surrounded by yes people and look where that has gotten us.
What Indiana sites do you go to in keeping up on our home state? I like Hoosier Access, Frugal Hoosiers, Howey Politics Indiana. I know there are Hoosiers lurking here. We need to do things the Boyz have suggested to help in our home state if we can.
I always enjoy your comments.
Thanks melanie. I do not visit any Indiana sites regularly–thanks for the recommendations. Occasionally, I’ll check out indianapolisteaparty.com. Do you know anything about chicksontheright.com. What do you think about the repub candidates for Bayh’s seat?
Thanks melanie. I don’t visit any Indiana sites regularly, so thanks for the recommendations. Occasionally, I’ll check out indianapolisteaparty.com and chicksontheright.com. What do you think about the Republican candidates for senate?
For some reason, my earlier responses are getting caught in the filter, so I apologize in advance for the repeats.
ANY and EVERY activity of the DemoRats, should be looked at as a Trojan Horse.
I’m not sure I’m with you on this one, boyz.
Heard and intresting theory , recently, and I hoping that it was just that, and not a reality
*right out of FDR’s playbook, apparently.
With all the stimulus money that has not been spent, they will begin to dump it into states that are going to be close contests i.e. look what we did for you bought votes
It’s already happening…stimulus money for a sports complex in central VA….1000 jobs added to the local economy…
I don’t know what else is out there, but if you’re in a state that’s going to be closely contested, look at what’s going on, and let us all know.
This is a good choice of weaponry for the left. I hope it proves ineffective.
We are historically short sighted at the polling booths
“The Centrists in the party, driven underground now, have been as quiet as the Democrat conservatives (who often seem rarer than unicorns). But, both parties have moderates, conservatives, and liberals. People tend to forget there are liberal Republicans, just as many ignore the conservative Democrats.”
Sorry to pick apart your piece like this, but I am a going to…The above is one of the most simple, truest, least “known” facts of US politics today. If more people knew it, or at the very least, understood it, I think we (as a nation) would all be better off. Why everything has to be 1 way or the other, with no regard to the shades of gray between black and white, I’ll never understand. This is where all the “hate” in politics around here gets touched off, the extremes of each party thrive on this hate and give us folks more toward the middle nothing but heartache, while slowing the system to the point that genuine and beneficial progress cannot often be achieved.
“The losses come November will be “unprecedented”, to borrow the current president’s favorite word…”
perhaps even “unexpected”
interesting read, but not surprising! the dems /libs dont really need to be told to play rough!

A better question is, “Is there a Civil War in BOTH Parties” The Republicans are also in a mess right now. They’re such fools when it comes to politics. They always seem to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Tea Party movement, which has people from BOTH parties will, be the defining piece for every election on a larger stage. It won’t matter what the letter after your name is, D or R, if you cross them, you’re toast.
