Please Be Charitable to the Leftists on Tuesday When Obama Loses – do not taunt them or rub salt in their wounds (no matter how tempted you may be)
I would like to take a moment to ask you to please be charitable in the days ahead…but especially on Tuesday…while dealing with Obama cultists and all those on the Left when Barack Obama loses his reelection bid.
The Left will lash out with anger…and will generally behave like vampires doused in Holy Water, tossed out on their bare butts into the blazing sun, and then rolled around in pits of garlic and evaporated angels’ tears.
It will be tempting to taunt these people while they’re in their misery, but you have more class than that.
When I was growing up in Cleveland, the nuns who taught me in school always reminded us to be good sports at the end of any competition. If we lost, we were told to hold our heads up high and be proud of the fact that we brought our best to the field and were beaten by someone more talented and cunning than we were that day (but this should motivate us to raise our game for next time). When we’d win, the nuns encouraged us to celebrate the thrill of the competition and to be grateful we had such challenging opponents who brought the best out in us.
If I’m competing against someone for anything, I fully intend to beat that person and don’t ever hold back. I’ve never let anyone win anything…so a victory over me is always hard-won and well-fought. The more important something is to me, the more I will bring to the match…and in the end one shall stand and one shall fall. I have no intention of ever being the one who takes that fall, so if someone bests me at something then that person honestly deserved to win and I have to marvel at their cleverness, skill, or even luck. When I defeat an opponent and it’s clear that I’ve won, I do my level best to extend my hand in friendship to the person with a smile for a contest vigorously fought…especially if it challenged me in some ways. Oddly enough, a lot of my best friends started off as opponents or even enemies…but only because I remember what the nuns taught me and have never let crowns of laurels go to my head (or even be placed there).
On Tuesday, Democrats will suffer what to many of them will be a shocking and soul-crushing loss. A great many of them have been believing the lies told by the Ministry of Truth and have listened to that guy Nate Silver, who consistently spread the apocryphal notion that Barack Obama’s reelection was inevitable and that Americans wanted this country to keep moving to the Left and be transformed into a socialist paradise. If you are someone who has been listening to the nonstop propaganda churned out by MSNBC, the New York Times, and other Minitru mouthpieces then you will be in full meltdown mode come Tuesday night.
While I very much will enjoy my Schadenfreude (vintage 2012) as I watch the results roll in…and I am purposefully going to watch MSNBC for the first time in four years just to see the pundits and talking heads there collapse into puddles of tears…I’m not going to entertain any notion of taunting the lefties in my life who will be apoplectic beginning around 9pm EST as the results make it clear that Mitt Romney is now our President-Elect.
I am going to call Pat Schipp up at the National Enquirer and tell her how stupid she is — because on September 20th at around 130am she had called me on the telephone to be nasty to me and she claimed that “all the polls have Obama ahead and he can’t lose”…and then she said some disparaging things to me that I think deserve a rebuttal on Election Night. I am very much looking forward to this call, because Pat Shipp is stupid and deserves to be told just that when Mitt Romney wins BIG.
I am very tempted to phone up two ex-boyfriends of mine — Harvey and Jacobi — who are big Obama cultists and who have been very nasty to me since 2008, when they sided with Obama while I supported Hillary Clinton for the Democrat nomination. These guys ratcheted up the hatred and nastiness against me after I left the Democrat Party and supported McCain/Palin in the general election…and I very much want to mock them when Barack Obama loses and his regime collapses around him.
But, I’m just not going to do that. This is a Class versus Crass moment…and Sisters Francis Borgia, Mary Howard, Marie Therese, Lucille Immaculata, Barbara Jean, and others would not approve of gloating or tormenting my idiot ex-boyfriends. Come to think of it, they probably wouldn’t approve of my having boyfriends in the first place, but it is what it is.
We’re about to have classy people move back into the White House for the first time in four years. Classy people will be living in the Naval Observatory too. Let’s all stay classy ourselves and not engage in any taunting…not even to horrible ex-boyfriends.
I firmly believe in defeating the Left completely and obliterating the Democrat Party as we now know it so that never in our lifetimes do we have to go through something like the last four years again. Beginning November 7th, the factions of the Clinton Restoration and the Obama Remnant will jockey for control of the Democrat Party…and it will be four years of battle as the Left attempts to cling to power. I hope the moderates and centrists win and that the Obama cult is permanently discredited and disbanded, never to emerge again…with the lunatic Leftists locked away in the cellar beneath the DNC for another 30 or 40 years.
But, I’m not going to be unkind to the foolish people I know who believed that Barack Obama was a magical black man who had descended from Olympus to solve all their problems. They sure were stupid to think that, but yelling “I Told You So!” at them is just not my style. I was raised better than that…and was taught better manners by the ninja nuns who trained me to be fearless and unwavering in combat…but kind and humble in victory.
I just want you to think about this.
And ask you not to join in on any nastiness that will happen in a lot of places while people celebrate Obama’s defeat.
Every day is a choice in who we want to be as people…and I like choosing to be the battle-scarred and unrelenting competitor who brings his best to every match…but who reaches down and pulls up the loser and tells him we can go forward now as friends, since the struggle is over and the battle’s done.
If that dummy decides he wants to fight some more, I am all for it…and I’ll just kick his butt again and again and again for as long as it takes for the fool to give up whatever ghost is driving him to pursue that Leftist transformation of the country I love.
But, I would much rather he saw how stupid he was in 2008 and now realized that, yes, it’s a great thing that we’re not in fact getting four more years of terrible that we all have to suffer through.
Something to think about, as I said.

Kevin…
I agree we should not rub the leftists noses in it over this.
They will already be enraged enough, and I really don’t think any moonbat would be able to contain their anger. They will probably lash out anyway.
That is not to say I will not enjoy my Schadenfreude as well.
I WILL however, report any illegal actions to authorities that I see (and get on my cellphone camera).
I encourage everyone to be vigilant here in the aftermath and do the same.
Its time to take our country back and to prosecute those that believe they are above the law with their moral relativism!
But please,,,,,,,,,, I want to so bad.
Indeed. I had friended a woman who has been a lefty since the 60′s and never changed one iota. I, however, have..on 5/31/08 after the Rules and By Laws Committee Meeting on CSpan revealed the corruption of the party I once voted for as a yella-dog Democrat. I never looked back. When this woman began posting vulgar cartoons, attacks, etc., on my FB wall I merely asked her if she thought that would make me see her POV; we could agree to disagree and said that I had reevaluated my former positions and have changed in many ways since the 60′s. I mentioned that I have never spoken about her failures and non-change over the years but that I am against Socialism and Communism and am a devoted patriot. No answer for several days so I decided to behave as Jackie would have and “unfriended” her. No more comments. Period. Jackie never argued with anyone over beliefs and if someone talked behind her back or committed other social faux pas, they were without explanation taken off her invitation list.
I think we have to have a return to manners and social graces. We don’t have to get in anyone’s face. If someone is breaking the law, call the police. I see the Romney/Ryan era a return of graciousness and refinement. No vulgarity or low language. I love to hear them speak. Correct grammar will return, no “booty” skirts or boogying with legs spread (or sitting with legs splayed ala Michelle). I loved Ann’s graceful position when she was on the view, skirt covering her knees, ankles crossed…and when Whoopi Goldberg make a statement that was pure disinformation, Ann merely replied firmly, you have been misinformed or that is not correct. End of discussion. Elegance and propriety! Manners and protocol! And thank God we will be proud of them representing us abroad or at home. Because the head of state has so much influence on our national culture, that’s where I think the country is headed, Kevin.
Kevin,
You think even Rasmussen is wrong? He has it 49-49 today. He was exactly right last time. Why do you think he is off? The enthusiasm factor? Thanks.
All polls are wrong. Romney will end up much higher than the polls have him.
People have made a point to lie to pollsters this year…to discredit all of them.
Hopefully, this will be the last year you give any credence to the polls.
I’m thinking the Bradley Effect will show up this year.
I general trust Rasmussen, He has Romney 5 ahead just a week ago, so I think Romney will still win by that margin.
Rasmussen gets hit by the left for being to optimistic for the GOP, I Rasmussen under estimates Romney and overestimates Obama the left will then take his polling with more credibility.
with his polling result he can still say he is the closest to the actual result, as every other polling firm is so wrong.
Pollsters are COWARDS. The reason that the polls are off is the result of group think. The truth is that they have almost no clue what is going to happen on Tuesday and how this is going to turn out. They live in the same bubble as the media/government/academia. They have no idea what electorate is going to show up Tuesday because they don’t know the people that make up the electorate. They know that if they go out on a limb and get it wrong they will be ridiculed in there small circle damaging their reputation. God forbid they get it wrong by predicting the uprising of conservatism. These pollsters don’t care what we think, they only care about what their small peer group thinks of them. Fear of ridicule causes them to look at each other’s polls which are then adjusted accordingly so the poll results are similar. That way if they blow it, they blow it together meaning no peer ridicule.

All you need to know is that less than 48 hours before the election, FOUR blue states are too close to call. Trust your fellow citizens to do the right thing.
You are a better Christian than I. My first thought is to have no mercy on them that inflicted Obama on us. They did all they could to give Obama another term. PuffPo has gone to refusing to allow folks who post there to mention BenGazi. WashPo reports an increase in unemployment as jobs created.
I also have a hard time having sympathy for NY/NJ.They vote in big gov’t lefties with no respect for life who love gun control. So when they are needed most the folks of NY/NJ are left high and dry alone and defenseless from the roving gangs looting and causing mayhem. This would not have happened in Pa. There are hunting rifles in most homes as well as concealed carry laws. That is why there aren’t any roving gangs here.
I’ll be nice but I’m taking any s**t, either. I’m not about being nasty or taunting. I’ll just be glad that the nightmare of the last 4 years is over. I’ll be gracious but stern about any flack that comes my way. But, hey, is a mega party to celebrate the win rubbing it in their faces?
Anna –
Believe me. I don’t take any s***. But I’m not going to poke these people in the eye when they are laying on the ground crying.
I’m not going to comfort them…but I am not going to kick them either.
After the crying ends, if they still want to be Leftists they can be…and I intend to shove them back down on the ground in 2014. But I hope they learn their lesson from this and act like normal people in the future.
Please please please just a little bit of in your face gloating after all the unspeakable ugliness from the most corrupt partisan President and MSM in our lifetimes.
Fine, OK, but I will feel free to gloat in private, and maybe a tweet or two, but will otherwise try to display the dignity Mitt would expect.
Clear eyes, full heart, well you know the drill.
“The Left will lash out with anger…and will generally behave like vampires doused in Holy Water, tossed out on their bare butts into the blazing sun, and then rolled around in pits of garlic and evaporated angels’ tears.” Lol!
Reporting on Gov. Romney’s rally in Des Moines, IA this morning. Amazing turnout! I think IA might just turn red on Tuesday!
We will!
That line paints one of the most vivid word pictures evah! I imagined “Fright Night” (the original) meets “Raiders of the Lost Ark” meets “Terminator 2″.
Such a gifted wordsmith, Kevin.
Thank you Kevin, of course we will act appropriately, remember we are the ones that always cleaned up after our rallies and for the most part did not use profanity on our posters. We did not threaten death to our opponents nor did we describe horrible sexual acts on twitter. We will always be civil to each other because we know true peace comes from our individual actions. But behind my closed front door I will be doing the ‘happy dance’.
Yes!!We have more class than that.
I love you, Kevin. The world is a better place because you are in it.
We have no need to gloat. A good bit of internal schadenfreude cannot be avoided, but our focus should be on moving the country toward a more prosperous and free future.
We know who the ugly people are. They have to live within their own skins. It is not our place to shove it in their faces. They already know.
Kevin- You are psychic…..while scrubbing my kitchen floor I was thinking to myself who would be more fum to watch- Hollywood or the leftists on the mainstream media “news” shows. I will never engage in publicly shaming anyone for their vote (or loss) but – oh my, I will be secretly enjoying every shadenfrued-y moment…….
Thanks for letting me comment and keep up the great work.
I have no problem with rubbing the =professional= leftists’ noses in this crap. This is their day job, I have no problem in messing with them. People like Axelrod, Silver, Jarrett, etc.
That said, I used to be a non-professional leftist myself, and forgetting even that I’m a Catholic and need to be charitable to my fellow man, I remember my own prior delusions and that nastiness is unlikely to help a person convert.
I want to win in the long run, not to just to enjoy the short-term boost.
Re: Nate Silver:
Like many of us predicted Nate Silver has excuses in the waiting, and he has already started using them, BEFORE the election, since it is finally dawning on him that his model is all wet. He became popular 4 years ago because he was more pro-Obama than the regular pollsters and called a few more states. Well, that bias is still with him, but he’s on the wrong horse this time. He’s got “a system” that can pick winners perfectly, but he forgot to tell you it only picks correctly in one race, and they ran it in 2008.
Friday’s headline: “Nov. 2: For Romney to Win, State Polls Must Have Been Statistically Biased.” Huh? You mean your vaunted “system” is just a compilation of other incorrect tip sheets, and if they are wrong, Nate is wrong? I want my money back!
There’s no point trying to one-up Nate. He’s already started backing off his system and blaming others. Just like the guy in the White House. Withdraw, claim victory, deflect and blame. If we gloat they instinctively respond that your attitude proves their case. Denial is a serious thing, and these people are seriously ill. A sick person should be treated with love. So long as they begin the road to an honest recovery, support and encourage them. Set reasonable guidelines if you must listen to them, but be firm, so if they fall into their old ways, you no longer support them, because you will be supporting their sad addiction to pessimism and failure.
I think Silver is another one of those in the circle of “normal people” who aren’t yet in the real political game who want to be a somebody and be appreciated for it. Clearly the attention from Baseball Prospectus was enough… however, whereas baseball fans will be happy with any advanced analysis, political partisans will only be happy with analysis which favors themselves… and I’m sure Nate Silver likes the attention from his “tribe”.
That being said, he will need some out to maintain credibility if/when it all goes wrong. To me he’s just another numerologist playing a war with numbers. Frankly, everybody in the political poll use game seems to be.
—
Turns out the game of measuring people is really freaking difficult regardless of the environ. Its all going to be subject to some form of confirmation bias… it just comes down to what bias, partisan or otherwise, that its subject to.
sorry- that would be fun not “fum” – darn missing reading glasses……
They did try ans wreck the country. They rubbed it in our faces.
You need to treat the Democrats like losers, and remind them they lost the election otherwise they will pretend they won and try and stop Romney.
You need to say Romney won, deal with it, keep an open mind and Romney and Ryan will make you proud of your country and make people successful.
What we NEED to do is comfort them, tell them it will be ok, then help them see the turnaround as Mitt does is thing.
In other words, help them become conservatives and help us save the country.
EXACTLY RIGHT
As Kevin has said.
The Sisters taught us to be good winners and good losers.
Being a good winner can be quite a challenge.
So, try harder, and be a good winner.
Kevin,
Thank you for another thoughtful comment. But that is what you seem to do on a regular basis.
I work with this guy(we will call him Jim), who has been coming in my face and almost yelling at me that Obama will win. Jim talks of the polls as proof of this, not even bothering to look at the internals of those polls. I tell him that they are skewed with a democrat margin from +7 to +11 in some cases and it makes no difference. Kevin, I am not even bringing up the subject of the election, when out of the blue, here comes Jim spewing this stuff at me. And why does he think it necessary to do this? I do not want to hear it. I stay to myself and Jim will still come at me with this attack.
When the results come in and Romney is president-elect, it would be so tempting to do the “I told you so” dance. But, our God says to be humble. So I will listen to Him first and you second on this matter.
From an American who happens to be a black woman, love your site and I look forward to election night and the end of the Obama presidency
DebbB -
On Wednesday when you see Jim, I would just say to him “Looks like your polls were all wrong like I told you”.
And leave it at that.
I swear, a good role model in life is Julia Sugarbaker from Designing Women. The way they wrote that character, she’d get the best of dummies in every situation. The “Looks like your polls were all wrong” comment is something she would have said.
Kevin-
Loved the Julia Sugarbaker reference but isn’t there a part of you that envied the Delta Burke character when she would loudly say “excuse me, excuse me and then say something outrageous?
My late mother in law always told me to just smile at detractors….it will drive them nuts. She was a wonderful women who always looked for the good in people. She and my father in law were DEMs (and union) until he was promoted into a management position…then he broke the union at his shop. As a result my mother in law became a stanch REP and was very active in the party on all levels.
Keven will be so jealous…she actually met Sarah Palin as a Rep ladies luncheon and said that gal was going places, sadly she passed in early 08 and didn’t see Sarah’s rise to national prominence.
So just smile at the idiot and express your sympathy for his loss or tell him your understand his pain—we have been living with the same pain for 4 YEARS!
“You’re a better man than I, Gunga Din!”
Well okay, but can I enjoy the inevitable meltdowns if I do so quietly?
BTW, it literally took me months to get over the shock of Obama’s election in 2008. After I recovered I decided that – in the spirit of P.T.Barnum – it was the perfect time to return to working in the advertising business.
/lemonade
My first thought exactly…..”you’re a better man than I, Gunga Din”…..Kevin, I too, will be watching MSNBC…I cannot wait…I am looking forward to a gloat fest all evening…watching Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and their entire sorry excuse for a network go to pieces!!!
I hear you when you say it took a while to get over the O’s election in ’08. I was bed-ridden for 3 days in the depths of depression and despair. Some may call it wimpiness, but I knew how bad things were going to be and my system was totally shocked.
Not this time!
I eagerly await the inauguration of our future President, Mitt Romney.
Shucks, Kevin, I was hoping we could at least stomp on the malignant media (Minitrue). They certainly deserve it and have abdicated their responsibility to the American people.
I intend to write forever about how stupid Minitru is.
Just don’t be juvenile and taunt regular people in your lives who supported Obama. Don’t be petty to them like they would be to you. Be better than them.
Oh, don’t worry. Folks added the “Lady” as a nickname to my penguin name (originally was Penguin2), because I argued or responded in a civil manner. Couldn’t stand people getting ugly with each other, we can argue the issues, but not attack the person.
We just want to win and go back to being civil human beings again. One thing I noticed since this administration came in is the increase in vitriol and unrestrained nastiness towards people on our side. It’s almost as if they felt (with Obama setting the ugly example), they could do or say anything they wanted and get away with it. Would like to see that stopped.
Umm, am I the only one who thinks it’s possible to both gloat and remain classy at the same time?
You can surely wear a huge, broad S – M – I – L – E on your face quite naturally and genuinely, without uttering a single word, while the leftists around you are melting down in their apoplectic rages….
For that matter, how could you help it?
You write so well on this, Kevin, very much appreciated. I have my friends I can commiserate with via email and FB groups and such and will leave it at that. I am not even vocal about the election now in other forums unless it’s among friends. Thank you.
I’ll be at work with many lefty types. For you Kevin I will be gentlemanly when the race is called for Romney. BUT…. I will definately to a ‘happy dance.’
The polls will be carefully scrutinized after this election is over and many will lose their status, credibility and close down.
Polls are not suppossed to be biased but they are and their data is manipulated on purpose to sway voters.
I hope the MSM and the polls are a hot topic of media, voting manipulation and people wake-up and stop listening to these sources.
Imagine if they decide to manipuate the Internet next and believe me, it is a topic being discussed. Many sites are biased and serve one purpose to re-elect Barack Obama. At least, the net has various points of view and a wise and intelligent person will read a diverse amount of information to make an intelliget decision.
However, there are a lot of braindead folks around the net as well.
Hey, it is a world of artificial intelligence in more ways than we think.
I was thinking you could do an “Obama Celebrity Loser of the Day” post and picture everyday from November 7th through Inauguration Day. Eva Longoria could be your first “Loser”. All of these Obama Celebriities need to have their faces rubbed in it. Please, pretty please!
I actually really like that idea.
I’m sure you’ll come up with some gems. My list would include:
Bette “Bathhouse” Midler
Chelsea “Unfunny Female Comic #85″ Handler
Chris “Only Black Man Speak Da Trooth” Rock
Jeff “Pixar Knockoff” Katzenberg
Katy “Douchebag Dating” Perry

That reminds me, I meant to post this yesterday.

To name a few more
How about AFLECK!
Shut him up!
About half my friends and some of my co-workers are leftists (since I leave in New York State), but I would never be rude to them after the election. However, I cannot say the same about how they acted when Obama won 4 years ago. They gloated and were quite obnoxius.
I think that is the difference between most conservatives versus leftists. We can agree to disagree and still respect that some people have different viewpoints. Unlike the leftists, who cannot tolerate a difference of opinion. I believe conservatives actually are the liberal-minded among us, for being tolerant of everyone regardless of race, creed or color.
I agree entirely. I’m perfectly happy to debate my leftist friends, but when we do start talking politics, all they want to do is shut me up and stop me from talking. I’m perfectly happy to listen to their case (so I can then go on to take it apart) but they won’t listen to mine. This happens every time, so we don’t get to talk politics as a result…
I think it depends on the person rather than the viewpoint. I’ve met leftists and conservatives alike that will shut down a conversation at the drop of the hat.
Some people are just simply set in their ways and have no desire to argue and/or change.
I know myself I hate confrontation so if a discussion starts getting heated I look for any way to end it quickly.
Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into ending the
socialist expansion of our country. It could not have happened
without the complicity of the media and they must be held accountable. Debbie W-S and Stephanie Cutter became such big fat liars that some of the MSM could not even stomach their lies.
I was going to donate to Sandy relief but didn’t when I thought about the people who won’t even prepare for a disaster as well as NY/NJ.
Glenn Beck said don’t let your anger and disgust make you something you are not. I donated immediately.
You change people by example and we are better than that. Mitt is a great example.
Mutual respect is essential to civil society.
Disrespect is an essential element of the Left.
In addition to our votes, our behavior is critical to restoring our nation.
Conservatives and other non-leftists have been and must remain examples of what is needed and expected in a civil society.
In our euphoria Tuesday, it is so important to be adults towards those who have acted so malevolently and childishly.
Obama ran this poor country and his campaign on revenge and bitterness and division. The left wants disharmony not unity. Romney wants us to return to love of country, that includes NY and NJ too. They are our countrymen. Kindness wins over more hearts than rudeness. When Obama loses, nothing much has to be said. That will say it all.
ps. The New York Daily news and Long Island Newsday endorsed Romney. This is a good start and progress.
I am in Virginia, but there are 50 of these united states and they all matter
Yes, kindness, compassion and human decency definitely do win over more hearts than rudeness, bigotry and hatred. It is what won me over four years ago.
I’ll happy dance in private though my tears of relief and joy may be very public!
The next-President has run a very positive campaign by almost any standard. If it has been is negative, it is the result of the negative record of the current occupier of the White House and his policies.
Christie was Romney’s surrogate this past week. He treated the soon-to-be ex-President with much love and respect. Why would Christie, who lambasted O less than 2 weeks ago, act this way? Because he knows, O knows, R knows, Biden knows, and Ryan knows IT’S OVER! I fully believe O conceded to Christie, who passed this on to R, and Christie treated O like the little kid who has sinned for four years, the prodigal son, being offered forgiveness by the victor. It’s unfortunate O then proceeded to start sinning again when he left (“voting is the best revenge,” and showing up at rallies hung over), but he will have to be forgiven again and again and again, probably until he dies while re-enacting getting fellatio in the mock Oval Office at the Presidential Library in HI.
Or because Christie is a jerk-y careerist who is all about Christie and this helps him with his reelection. He could care less if it hurts Romney. The latest leak from Christie is that Romney was totes going to pick him as VP.. seriously, which doesn’t seem to be the case because Romney and Ryan were apparently negotiating back and forth about Ryan’s role in the Romney administration even before Ryan formally accepted on August 5th. This came after a lovely leak to the NY Post during the convention about how Christie didn’t want to be VP, Romney was totes going to lose, and Christie would be President in 2016.
BTW, the Redskins apparently lost today… smiles.
I’m trying to think of something appropriate to put up on my FB page. I’ve been assaulted with vile leftist posts from FB friends, and one I even had to block.
I can’t really, since some of them are relatives. I think the most I’m going to say is, “Buh-bye, Bronco Bama!” and leave it at that.
Kevin your comment about the nuns was so funny ! They WOULD approve of the great man you’ve become!! I appreciate your advice. Can I rub it in to the guy on Facebook who said he would eat his shoe if the economy didn’t improve from obamas policies by July 2010?
I will not gloat over private individuals, but I would love to gloat over those puffed up pundits on the news. Especially since they are spinning the fact that Romney is campaigning in PA as the campaign being desperate, instead of reporting the truth that Romney is campaigning there because the polls have shown that he has a chance to win in PA. Obama is the one that is desperately trying to regain lost ground. Check out this article on how the race has tightened even in Maine: http://www.pressherald.com/news/poll-suggests-tightening-presidential-race-_2012-11-04.html
I was thinking the most I would do to the weeping lefties in my world would be remind them of their words in 2008…”we survived Bush, you will survive Obama.” If they can dish that out, that can surely appreciate the wisdom in those words when the shoe is on the other foot.
I’m wondering now if I need to bite my tongue completely in the interests of winning hearts to our side. Flies, honey vs vinegar, you know the saying. I think the prospect of having a classy administration and first family can help me stay classy myself. Even if I’m doing the Snoopy dance in my heart.
I think a good tone is just “Now that this is over we can get on with getting the country back on track”.
Look forward…to the future…and let’s just be happy that things will only get better and not worse anymore.
What the left needs to do is join the Tea Party in forcing accountability in our government. This is something progressives NEVER ask themselves — why isn’t what we’re already spending enough? We could, for example, net more tax dollars by closing the child tax credit loopholes than repealing the Bush tax cuts. When our tax code actually cuts a check from the Treasury for people who have paid no taxes at all, you’re just asking for abuse, and it is rampant to the tune of $ 5 billion per year. A big win will give us the opportunity to point out that all this money being wasted is money not going to health care and education.
I like the idea of cutting out the child tax credit—I have a neighbor who has 16 ( yes, I said 16) kids, got every dime he paid in taxes back plus some and bragged about it!
But I take exception to the government (from local all the way up to the Feds) always asking for more money for education. How much freaking money does it take to educate a kid? We are paying over $10-11K per kid in our district. Getting rid of the teachers unions, getting back to the basics (cutting all programs that are touchy feely), bringing back PE and letting the kids actually play at recess would be a good start on education reform though.
I have one post planned on the subject of why I think Obama lost, which will be polite and based on observable evidence. Beyond that I am going to keep my mouth shut unless Leftists try to drag me into arguments.
I’ve had it planned for months, what I will say on FB…..
“IT’S MORNING IN AMERICA, AGAIN”…..Thank you GOD!
I love it.
Classy.
So true.
You are brilliant.
Ah……Kevin…….
Can we rub the “Reagan Pivots” in just a wittle bit?

I will be too busy crying tears of relief and joy to be gloating, but I appreciate your advise nevertheless.
Coincidently, I had this very conversation with my sister yesterday. I said, “We will leave the gloating to Glenn Beck and others…if we rub it in the leftist’s faces that makes us as bad as they are …”
It IS, however, tempting to imagine otherwise given what we have been through this past 4 yrs. It has seemed like an eternity to me.
Thanks again Kevin for all you have done. Godspeed, President Romney.
Fine, I’ll try to be charitable and kind, but should they come rioting and looting up my street, would it be unkind to shoot them? Seriously, I want to know.
No, looters are fair “targets” IMO
No, but etiquette DOES demand that you start with the scope-sighted rifle placed on the right of your shooting position.
Remember, polite looter-shooters always double-tap center-body-mass, and then are kind and ALWAYS finish what they shoot with a pistol shot to the back of the skull.
Thus sayeth the Armed Ms. Manners, my wife. . . (grin)
Rioters and looters will get all the kindness my M-4 Carbine can dispense. But in ID things will be peaceful as this is a widely and heavily armed state. An armed society is a polite society.
I will drop to my knees and give thanks to God for all the wonderful people who have banded together to restore our Country to our Founding principles. I am thankful to those who had the courage to run, Allen West, Mia Love, Ted Cruz, Gov. Romney, Paul Ryan, etc. I am exhausted but have enough energy for one final push to race across the finish line and have no intention of rubbing salt in the wound. I’m sure there will be a happy dance in the privacy of my home but only after giving thanks.
A good omen from my household, a loved one (veteran) has been so stressed over the way our military has been treated by this current Administration decided to take a day to unwind in a beautiful rural area and went hunting. Just before sunset, a big buck appeared. In this tough economy, we were able to fill up or freezer and help out a low income family. Our Election Day meal will be in honor of Paul Ryan…venison stew. Now, I’ll have to read Kevin’s earlier post to round out the rest of our Election Day meal.
No gloating but will definitely cling to our religion and 2nd Amendment Rights.
Indy, I love this…not just that you could fill your freezer and help someone less fortunate though that is wonderful too. The best part is the metaphor of the buck appearing before sunset; Providence providing for us in the moments before the darkest hour as long as we are willing to work for it. This will happen for our nation on Tuesday, too.
Love your comment, sunsets have special meaning to our family.
Our hunter sought solace with nature and came back to the house in much better spirits. The walk in the woods was an opportunity to decompress and step away from technology. We are unhappy with the way our troops have been treated (awful rules of engagement, Benghazi, holding their pay hostage during the debt ceiling debate, throwing them under the bus on numerous occasions, etc.) For those of us who have never served, our outrage cannot compare to those who have actually served in the military, there is something about the look in the eyes of a veteran at least that’s my experience. I’m looking forward to sunset on Tuesday, I may be inside as a poll observer but your comment gave me an idea, I will have my kids take pictures of the sunset that will deliver us victory.
Kevin, you call me shallow and base all you want, but after 8 years of hearing Bush is an idiot and 4 years of having a constant stream of Obama crammed in my face, my happy dance will be epic.
I just walked away from a gleeful, “Bet you didn’t think a hurricane was going to get Obama re-elected”.
Yeah, my two little genius’ are going to get an in your face, no holds barred happy dance. Followed up with a slice of, “I can’t wait for the indictments to start” pie.
I’m planning but a single gloat. I used to be on a discussion board that systematically drove all the conservatives away.
I plan but a single post.
The Electoral Count, and a picture of Nelson Muntz from “The Simpsons” pointing and saying “Ha-Ha!!”.
This link will prepare you and we all need to be class acts; but politely remember to ask why the desparation and panic by skewing polls which is not good.
If you are going to present data; be objective and not continuousally put out biased manipulation which is false.
http://scaredmonkeys.com/category/polls/skewed-polling/
the whole page above really delivers the punch and we need to be better than our dumb democrats … I would want a united country this time around so we can grow the economy and put people back to work. We are all in it together.
I will have my camera phone at the polling place. I will have my camera phone ready to capture any riots or illegal activity. But I plan to grab the high ground, save for capturing the MSNBC and others meltdown on dvd. Whenever I’m a little sad, I’ll pop in that dvd.
Kevin,
I found your political website a couple of weeks ago and have been reading it almost every day since. Thanks for your work on behalf of our country. In one of your posts, you wrote: “I love this country.” That’s one of my favorite things you have said. Try to get the same sentiment out of our current president. Even Saul Alinsky said that he loves this country.
Anyway, I’ve noticed something funny in the polls. Tell me what you think of this. As you can tell by my handle, I’m a non-statistician, but when I look at the Ohio polls, I see something funny going on. Out of 17 states that voted for Obama last time and are included in the RCP polling summary this time, Ohio is the ONLY state with less than a 3.8 percent decline in support for Obama. The figure: 1.8 percent decline in support. (That 3.8 percent is for New Jersey.) All other states, excluding New Jersey, are at least 4.1 percent (North Carolina) decline. The biggest decline is Michigan at 12.6 percent. The AVERAGE decline is 7.3 percent. How is it possible that Ohio is at only 25% of the AVERAGE decline? I live in Ohio and I just can’t see support for Obama in this state dropping by only 1.8 percent in the last four years. Screwy.
Looking at the following factors:
1. Crowd enthusiasm – for Romney (Even a blind man can see it.)
2. State polls with Romney on the positive side (even states no Republican had taken for the last twenty or twenty-four years, such as Minnesota and Michigan, are in play!)
3. Newspaper endorsements falling on Romney’s side (The editorial board at the San Antonio Express-News, though, should be ashamed of themselves.)
4. Voter enthusiasm lacking in The One’s side (A Stevie Wonder-headed rally in OH only drew about 200 people. A “Million Puppet March” only turned about 500 people. A “National Dance for Obama” GOTV flash-mob dance only drew all of 12 people. Crowds for The One at rallies are at one-tenth of what they were in 2008. Even Elizabeth Warren, who is supposed to win the U.S. Senate seat in the One-Party Commonwealth of Massachusets, held a rally with all kinds of Democrat endorsements – and nobody showed up!)
5. Renewed efforts by the Usual Suspects to steal the election cold (Look at the NAACP in Houston and you’ll know what I mean.)
Even when I converse with people around me here around Houston, I don’t even have to mention The One – you can sense even here that people have been deeply disappointed in him, and don’t like what they’re living day by day.
I would so love for the RNC to show, for one time, before Tuesday, a one-minute Point to Ponder, some words of wisdom from the past – Ronald Reagan, speaking in that one debate before Election Day 1980, asking the nation, “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?” I want his words juxtaposed with the lines of the unemployed, the price of gas and groceries going up, the pictures of the poor dead Ambassador, and all the other things that have defined The One’s era. An ad like that would be like the mortal dagger, sunk into the Democrat skin, and then twisted for maximum damage, the biggest “bang for the buck” possible. If the RNC won’t do it, maybe we should – and post it on YouTube.
Mike Barone predicts Romney will win. I believe Barone. But let me add one more thing. If things go the way I think they will go on Tuesday, The One won’t just suffer an Electoral Defeat as we know it. I believe he and the Democrats can look FORWARD to a nationwide… Electoral Massacre.
I repeat: an Electoral Massacre.
The polls always tighten the weekend before the election. I know this. It happens every time. This time it is raising the blood pressureto see it so I check and re-check Breitbart and Hillbuzz as a sedative. It works well.
So I guess sending invitations to Gloatfest 2012 to the staff of MSNBC is out of the question?
Drudge Report has a picture from the last debate. The Romneys are in the foreground and the Obamas are in the background. A little subtle taunting if lefties maybe.
You are EXACTLY right.
Sharp catch!
another great link on the absurdity of polls and it all boils down to common sense questions like the writer stated in this link.
http://townhall.com/tipsheet/carolplattliebau/2012/09/27/a_few_thoughts_on_the_skewed_polls
Kevin nailed it when he said many participants in the polls are lying; there is NO respect for the media today and this is a good stick to them statement. Who believes you anyway and make it worse for their credibility when all is said and done.
I notice we have converted a number for former leftists to Constitutional Republicanism these past 4 years. I want more. You catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar. I agree with Kevin. Let’s keep it classy. Move to the future and win over even MORE former Obama supporters.
Kevin: I am getting ready for my big day 5 am til midnite on the Romney volunteer campaign for orca.
I go in for a test run tomorrow night and up at 4 am or earlier to get there by 5 am.
I need good sleep tonite for sure and resting up tomorrow.
I will be seeing the results live and I will try and let you know what is going on if possible.
I have never done anything like this before in my life; but I owe this country a big one after I voted for Barack Obama foolishly in 2008, I am still apologizing for my naivety. Hillary was my first choice but the whole democratic party are left wing progressives who want transformation of this country. That is a fact.
Sigh, no fair. I have been waiting for so long to taunt and rub their noses in it, and I fully believe they oh-so-deserve to have their noses rubbed in it because of the depraved behavior they’ve indulged in for the past year.
But I’m still feeling scared, even though I have hope in my heart. I feel like I can’t breathe. So, I can’t even think about not rubbing noses in it yet, because I won’t be able to breathe until I see Virginia, Florida and North Carolina fall into the Romney column, and then Ohio and Pennsylvania do the same, or Wisconsin, Colorado, Iowa and New Hampshire report in with good numbers for Romney. Then, I’ll try to RESTRAIN myself from losing complete control and rubbing their depraved noses in it.
I’ll really try hard, too. I promise. I really, really do promise to try hard.

I work in a school so you KNOW there will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth!!
The day after Obama was elected they were literally hugging each other and crying for joy. I told them I had cried, too, but not for the same reason.
I will not gloat but I will not hold back my opinion if asked, which I probably will not be because they know which party I support – after all I have been wearing my elephant and tea pot jewelry for months now!!
There is indeed no need to rub the noses of the defeated left in and gloat over their misery on Tuesday. Thing is, they will start to attack Mitt Romney as soon as they have sobered up after 11/7, in full force, and be as vile as ever. That is exactly what they did over here after the Tories won the election in 2010.
So it’s better if we have a nice, celebratory break from all this vileness and enjoy what all the hard work has won, and not get sidetracked before battle starts again.
As for gloating – I’m reminded of what Willie Whitelaw, one of Mrs Thatcher’s most trusted advisors, was heard to say after a particularly heated battle in parliament, which they won: “Mustn’t gloat, bad form to gloat, not the done thing – but secretly I’m gloating like h*ll” – that’ll be me on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning!
How to treat one’s adversary after a victory on the playing field is beautifully illustrated by waht happens after a rugby match (where absolutely no quarter is given on the pitch):
The winning team lines up at the entrance to the changing rooms, a line at each side, and applauds the defeated team as they walk past. That defeated team then lines up and applauds the victors while they go inside.
We all know that this battle was not fought fairly by the left. Doesn’t matter: one can shame some people at least into behaving better by showing how good behaviour looks like.
Whoa: Early voting in Ohio shows GOP way ahead of 2008 counts; Axelrod speechless
Headline from Michelle Malkin’s Twitchy… I’m walking my dog out, will read it later. I think this is what Kevin is talking about!!!
Kevin,
Here’s another non-statistically accurate observation: For several weeks now, I have been using the search words “Conservative Websites” on line. For most of that time, the number 1 result is the headline “The Top 50 Conservative Websites.” Just within the past few days, the top 50 has been beaten by the headlines “The Top 100 Conservative Websites” and “The Top 150 Websites.” If Google results are based on the choices people make, I would say people aren’t satisfied with 50 anymore. They want double or triple that.
Here’s another one: Search for “Conservative Websites” and what do you get? 95,400 results. “Liberal Websites”: 27,700 results. “Progressive Websites”: 28,200 results. “Leftist Websites”: 12,700 results. Put “Liberal,” “Progressive,” and “Leftist” together and it still doesn’t add up to “Conservative.” Again, if Google results reflect people’s choices, the opposition gets only about 70 percent of what Conservatives get.
One thing that annoys me are the trolls on some of the websites. I’d like to punch some of the snotty Hot Air trolls in the face. The worst is a little snot named gumby who I’d like to chase after with a baseball bat. Not sure why they haven’t been banned.
The Panthers Won!!! Another sign like the large buck referred to in the hunting story for a R/R win. I too, was a Hillary Democrat, 40 year Democrat, who ended up voting for McCain, and have supported Romney since the primaries. Wished he was the candidate in 2008, after Hillary lost, but lost that discussion to McCain.
Here in the bluest of states, California, the Pasadena Star newspaper, endorsed Romney. That is an amazing thing, They are the second newspaper in the Los Angeles basin to do so this week.
Go Romney/Ryan!
And we will be gracious to all our leftists here on Wednesday…:).
In response to the original post: I won’t be taunting anyone when 0bama loses. Romney will be far from my ideal president, though infinitely better than the one who’ll be heading out the door. So I’ll be too busy preparing to hold Romney’s feet to the fire to do any taunting.
Kevin, here’s a link to something I will watch (and sing!) on election night:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXh7JR9oKVE
I won’t watch it because of the religious connotations, but because to me this piece is a natural for joyous celebration, and brings back vivid memories that are so sweet, and a bit painful simply because they are now ONLY memories.
I grew up in a choirloft, because my mother was a church musician. The nuns taught me the same things they taught you, and my mom taught me the discipline and fun of singing Gregorian chant and classical music in parts, along with the adults in the two church choirs she directed and accompanied.
Every Christmas when I was little/young and she was still alive, one of the big fun events of the holiday season was the singalong at Wolf Trap (I grew up just outside DC, in Virginia).
The US Army Band would play, the Singing Sergeants would do just that, and there was an open invitation to all area choirs to come and be on stage for the event, which always ended with the Hallelujah Chorus.
The open pavilion was always full even in the bitter cold, and not just because the event was free–it was FUN.
Catherine Filene Shouse was still alive, and I can still see her backstage in her mink, beautifully hatted and gloved against the cold, presiding over the table of hot chocolate and cookies.
When my daughter (now 19, and ready to vote Romney on Tuesday) was in middle school, her school chorus class went (if parents provided transportation), and I stood in the cold to the side and cried and laughed with nostalgia and joy to be able to photograph her on the same stage where I’d had some growing up fun of my own.
The composition was a bit different, but on it goes, and yes there were ladies backstage at an old folding table, with hot chocolate!
We are going together this year, and I’ll cry and smile all over again.
I guess one of the reasons I love this video is because it tells me something I loved is not lost–people singing (WELL) together in joy, and the joy and wonder that fosters.
I thought of it in connection with you too, because of the composition of the singers, and of your blog–all different kinds of people, with something basic and good in common.
In their case, beautiful music and joy in exercising it. In yours, that we are all free Americans who can come together.
It gives me true hope for us all, and our shared country.
Hallelujah!
To leftists–both the professionals at Minitru and the amateur jerks in our offices–WE, not al-Qaeda, are the enemy. For our own liberty, they should be regarded as OUR enemies. Control of the country and control of all aspects of our lives is their goal. They never flag in pursuing it. Most conservatives want to be left alone. We want to be able to do our civic duty at the voting booth and be about our business until the next election. These leftists live their struggle to oppress US. They deserve every ounce of taunting we can give them starting Wednesday, because they will go right back to their leftist project. I cannot share colliemom’s idea that some may be shamed into behaving better from a good example. If they were capable of shame, they wouldn’t be leftists. For the good of the country, we should INCREASE their pain. They are the anti-American Americans described by Daniel Greenfield (http://sultanknish.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-most-divisive-campaign-in-american.html). How would you react to a Communist openly mourning the fall of the Soviet Union in 1992? That’s what depressed Obama voters should receive from us.
Kevin, back on Oct. 20th you encouraged us to create future memories of what election night would be like. You said you were going to call Jacobi and Harvey. You created an expectation in me of delighting in reading your posting about it. *Sigh*
I will probably end up calling Jacobi and Harvey too.
But I will be nice to them when I call. “Just wanted to make sure you know that Obama lost in case you didn’t hear. Now, are you going to start being civil to people or are you going to be bad forever?”.
Kevin. . .
Given my experience with Lefties over the years. . . I think we all know the answer to that question already.
Because it’s never THEIR fault. Just like the reason Communism has failed is that the right people never were in charge to implement it properly. . .
Being a Leftie mean never having to say you’re sorry. . .
Boy, I’d hate to be Pat Shipp on tuesday night!
Absolutely agree. For most of us, behaving with civility is a given regardless how much we want to be snide.
For those more given to venting…behaving as the left would not, and has not, has certain satisfaction to it, and draws a sharp contrast to their behavior. Don’t let yourself be baited…it’ll drive them nuts. Let the snark out to trusyed friends.
And yes, it will be very good to have class back in the White House, and back on the face of America. And Kevin, I’m with you, it isn’t over with getting Obama out, we need to be mindful throughout the next 4years.
I still think a cleansing ceremony is in order….
(loved the vampire visual:-) )
Since I’m so moderate and bi-partisan, I think those who want to taunt and laugh at Regressives and the ones who want to stay classy, shouldn’t argue with each other. At the end, we’re all pro-Americans, and both sides have valid points, and we’re to respect both points of view.
These leftist followers are a joke. Either they are
not paying attention or they are dumber than rocks.
My acquaintances/friends that lean left have learned not to
say one word to me in support of Obama or say nasty words
against Sarah Palin. I bombard them with so many facts
that it makes their little heads spin. If I don’t know something,
I go home and research online, copy/paste facts in an email
to them.
That said, I never initiate political conversation. If someone says something stupid, then I have to correct them with facts. Works every time. They never have a comeback.
When Obama was first elected I bit my tongue so many times,
holding back a sharp retort when they glorified “The One”,
always without any facts to back up their statements. I must
admit there were a few occasions I couldn’t hold back my angst.
Lately, noone has said a word to me. I am having lunch with
a few lefty leaning friends on the 7th; date put on my calendar long ago, not willing to change for the entertainment value if Romney wins. I doubt they will say one word, which would be pretty funny by itself the day after an election. Unfortunately, if Obama wins they will be babbling on and on about how wonderful he is.
If I am annoyed with their leftist political talk I will not talk about either candidate, however, will lay out the facts on Bengahzi. When I am finished they will wish I talked only about political campaigns.
I will tell them to enjoy their lunch at Shaw’s Crab House in
Chicago because within a very short time Obama’s economic
policies will result in their income going down and their expenses
going up, thereby leaving little money for expensive lunches
with great wines.
My advice to those of you who have to put up with leftist loons is{ show them in every way that you are better than them. I am angry of course at the Obats who voted for a communist- Muslim sympathizer instead of two people who love this country more than thier lives ( McCain-Palin.) I am angry that those who raged against George W. Bush didn’t notice that Obama supported the worst of Bush’s policies and continued the bailouts and defeat of secular leaders in the Muslim world. I am angry because when Romney and Ryan get this economy going again my parents will be screwed because all the fiat money that the banks and businesses have been afraid to circulate under Obama, will be flowing like a raging river creating a flood of inflation that will shrink the nest eggs of seniors down to diddly.
But I am a conservative over all. I will continue to behave like a conservative and show the world that conservative people have more class under their fingernails than any leftist hater has in thier entire body. To conservative men. Please never stoop to the level of vulgar self loathing leftist men. If they sware in front of you or a lady, don’t parot them; just look at them with disgust. And conservative ladies, never let the mean girls of the left alter you in any way. Men don’t respect leftist chicks. And leftists chicks don’t respect themselves, they are not happy because they make God aweful choices and have to live with the guillt. I have no plans to rube Obama’s defeat in the faces of the Obama zombies. I just plan to make this country conservative and decent again to the point that it makes the leftist look as ugly as they are. They cannot live in a civilized world; so lets make this world civilized again. If it gets to hard for them here, they can all move to Venezuela and roll in the mud with Chavez; he will be glad to have them.
Aww, Kevin! Not even a “neener-neener-neener”? The Obots at work are unbearable! I’m cranky, freezing with no electricity, and will be coming off a 3 day diet of carrots, celery, and green tea just so I can gorge on pints of rocky road and bottles of Pinot Grigio on election night…I need at least one “Bwahahaha!!!!”
weekly standard reports massive decrease in early and absentee voting in Chicago http://weeklystandard.com/blogs/massive-decrease-early-and-absentee-voting-chicago_660299.html
Kevin, as a first time poster, I’ve been coming to your site for quite a while now and just want to compliment you for your interestingly different web site! It’s a breathe of fresh air which is always fun and exciting! Your articles make my day!
I totally agree that we should keep composure when we’re around leftists by not taunting them after the election.
Again, thanks for all you’ve done this election season, Kevin.
Vote Romney/Ryan 2012!!
