Obama Operative David “Popcorn” Kernell — the son of disgraced Democrat Tennessee State Rep. Mike “Bad Father” Kernell — is officially an inmate in a federal penal facility tonight.
Where he’ll be exposed to other similar “p” words, I’m sure.
Like pen…ance.
Pen…itentiary.
Pen…cils (you know, for writing letters telling everyone how sorry he is).
All sorts of “p” words.
The cherubic-curled Obama volunteer will be in prison until at least Thanksgiving (you know, the holiday where turkeys are basted and stuffed), but will not serve his full year sentence in lock-up because of good behavior early release provisions. He will, however, remain a convicted felon for the rest of his life, thanks to his zeal to recklessly attack the Palin family in service to Obama.
After his prison stint, Kernell will live in a halfway house with many other Obama voters, where they can all contemplate where “Hope!” and “Change!” got them…and the rest of the country.

I could do without the prison rape jokes. That’s a form of humor that needs to die a quiet death.
A little insensitive of you to use the words “die” and “death”, in light of this weekend’s tragic events and the media firestorm swirling around about such inflammatory speech, in the same breathe you are chiding someone else’s humor.

Oh, come on, Kevin. Prison rape is not funny. Rape in general is not funny. That doesn’t change if someone is convicted of a crime.
I’m sure there are ways to defend yourself, but a metaphor is not the same thing as – allegedly, I’m inclined to give you the benefit of the doubt here – making light of rape.
Even if that wasn’t true, there is an old saying that “it’s easier to prove that someone is a hypocrite than to prove that they’re wrong”.

Yes, prison is like that, and it needs to change, not be something that people accept and make light of.
I am not making light of it.. at the same time much of the crime and thus prison is attributable to liberal disincentives to lead a productive life, on the one hand, and draconian punishment, on the other, for victimless offenses such as drug use on the other. In addition the liberal de-institutionalization of people with mental problems and dumping them on the streets has resulted in the use of jails and prisons as replacement warehouses.Out of this morass we have the current state of affairs where rich and connected folks like Kernell do little or no jail time and the poor and disconnected often are given heavy time.

I dont really want the kid to suffer in lock up. However I do want him to never be allowed in politics. I suspect that he will eventually get a pardon and run for his fathers seat.

Hey guys haven’t posted here in a while. Just waned to say Heidi, WOW!. These people have no shame, no respect. I heard in the book that is coming out, the anonymous one, they say he is cold, but this is just…WOW!

The prison sentence is too short but given this kid’s looks, the facility is a good choice. No I don’t think he’ll get off scot free, nor should he. But I agree with those who have opined that the rape jokes are a bit much.
I just want to mention that it’s kind of sad that a word like “pen-” immediately makes people think of rape. That particular body part has a lot of other functions too and it’s kind of sad that the first thing that comes to people’s mind is an act of violence.
The pen is migthier than the sword.
