Obama Campaign Accuses Romney of Lying for Quoting Obama
Barack Obama’s re-election campaign has posted a new ad accusing Mitt Romney of launching a false attack. The ad plays a clip of Romney quoting Obama’s speech where he said “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” The ad then shows text saying Obama never said that. A few seconds later, the ad even plays a clip of Obama saying those exact words.
This is phenomenal. Obama’s campaign is literally calling Romney a “liar” and a “say anything” candidate for quoting Obama’s own speech! The emperor is truly naked folks.
This is also just another example in a growing litany of evidence that whatever terrible thing the Progressive Left accuses the right of doing, they are already doing it themselves.

Personally, I think this is a mistake on the part of the Obama campaign. Claiming your guy didn’t say something and then playing your guy saying that exact thing is pretty dumb. It will be interesting to see if the campaign pulls this ad. If they do, you can also catch Beck’s analysis (currently free). He doesn’t show the ad but he does play the audio and then plays Romney’s speech and Obama’s speech side by side.
This whole incident rekindles my theory that the main factor in choosing Biden for Vice President was to give the late night comedians a more obvious target to roast. Obama’s off-prompter gaffe record isn’t exactly stellar. All I know is that Romney better ride this horse as far as it will go because after this, I doubt Obama will go off prompter again through the rest of the campaign.
On the other hand, he seems to be so arrogant that maybe he will and just assume he can lie his way out of it like he’s trying to do here. What say you?

Proves that bo is a complete loser. You get the whole package when you vote for this guy – insanity, stupidity, and mendacity. When you produce an ad claiming that the other side lied about you and it could be used in a counter-ad, it shows that the bo campaign is a complete tailspin. It is losing its mind.
I certainly don’t want to underestimate the Obama campaign, but I tend to agree with you. They’ve made so many missteps lately.
In other news, Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.
Obama, he is soooooo… yesterday.
More proof that there will be no presidential “debates” this year. In 2008, Obama had to “debate”, both in the Primaries and the General, and the middle finger became legendary. This time Barkah is an incumbent who had no primary debates to worry about, does not want to give Mitt a teleprompter-less forum with side-by-side comparison, and will use “national security” or “domestic emergency” events to whisk him safely away from any presidential debate that might get scheduled.
Romney needs to be aware that if his team presses hard for a debate, and actually nails Barkah down to a commitment, that date will loom larger in history than a bombed-out aspirin factory in Sudan, because “It’s all about sex” President Clinton has become “It’s all about ex” President Obama.
Huh?
Sorry, Tamminator, It’s just that every time I turn around Obama is doing or saying the most unprecedented thing in service of his precious presidency. As he seems to shrivel and implode before our very eyes, I am just taking his trajectory to its extreme conclusion, in order that I may be pleasantly surprised when he acts like a man and abides by rules, yet steeled for the inevitable desperate treachery to be visited upon, if not us, then Romney come October.
I actually hope Obama does avoid debating Romney. I don’t see any way he comes out of that looking good. I think not debating will actually suppress Obama voters and energize Romney voters. Plus, it will look really bad to the true “undecideds” who are looking forward to the debates to make their decisions. Never in modern history has a President failed to debate.
BTW the three debates between Obama and Romney have already been announced: 10/3, 10/16, 10/22.
