Next time someone says Governor Palin is polarizing…tell him, no, she’s the POLAR OPPOSITE OF OBAMA.
It just occurred to me today that the next time someone tells you “Sarah Palin can’t win because she’s too polarizing!” you should look that person in the eyes, wink, and say, “No, Sarah Palin is the POLAR OPPOSITE OF OBAMA and that’s exactly why she’ll win, you betcha!”.
The “you betcha” always rattles these people, and it’s so fun to say.
But, in all seriousness, the Governor is indeed the polar opposite of Obama.
And, as I’ve been writing about for three and a half years now on this site, “polarizing” is a codeword for “bitch” that the Left uses to malign, berate, and ostracize female politicians who won’t shut up and go away when told.
“Bitch”, in my world, is not a pejorative in this context — it’s a prerequisite for ever getting anything done in politics, which is dominated by the old-boys-network of the permanent political class on both sides of the aisle.
I love the designs over at Essex & Orange that celebrate being “polarizing” Alaska-style, where polls indeed start rising when voters believe a candidate for office will actually do what she says, not back down, and be the POLAR OPPOSITE of the arrogant and incompetent people who got us into the nation’s financial mess to begin with.
“You say bitch like it’s a bad thing”.
“You say I’m polarizing, well I must be doing something right then”.
“You want to see polls a-rising? Keep being the Polar Opposite of Obama and you’ll do just fine!”
“You betcha!”

I look forward to your comments. Please follow these simple guidelines:
- Please do not complain about your comment not yet showing up
- Stay on topic of the article ("This is OT, but..." = bad!)
- I will STING if you troll, spam, bait, swear or attack someone

I guess this is O/T, and I apologize, but I'm still waiting for someone here to condemn the tasteless jokes made (at Trig's expense) by the comedian in Iowa prior to Sarah's speech. I'm so surprised to have not seen anything at Hillbuzz about this.
Gretta,
What are you talking about?
There was a troll who tried who stir something up about this the other day and it was shot down because the Palin family took no offense to the comic. One of my friends actually knows the comic in LA. The Palins liked his routine enough when they heard him delivering it somewhere else and specifically asked him to open for the Governor in Indianola.
So I question what you are trying to do here and I don’t think I have ever seen you post here before. I ran a search on your IP address and it’s not connected to any other comments ever in the 3.5 years’ worth of archives, which is a clue that you might be a troll come here just to make an issue where there is none.
Here are some other things that seem odd about your comment:
* Starting remarks by saying, “I guess this is O/T and I apologize”…pretty classic trolling right there.
* the whole “I’m so surprised” bit…like you are trying to goad me into making an issue of this where there is one
Clearly, I have no hesitation going to the mat for anyone with special needs and I do not shy away from any fights. If you read this site for more than three consecutive days you can surely see that.
I don’t know if you are a troll, but if you aren’t, then I’m so surprised to have seen you express yourself in classic troll speak.
Excellent post, Kevin! When Gov. Palin announces her '12 bid, it will be the crisp, clear, clean "Polar Rising" that will save this country from the fetid muck of Obamacrat corruption.
I love that graphic of the polar bear with a Palin 2012 sticker. If she's going to run I hope she announces soon, I can't wait to get my grrrrr on. I'm going to enjoy supporting Sarah Palin and driving libs nuts at the same time. That a two fer!
Kevin, great post!! And thanks for the link to the Essex and Orange website. I love the bumper sticker!
Can I just say – I love it!
BITCH ~ Babe In Total Control of Herself. They can call our Sarah that name all they want to, and I will use this definition of the word! Do I hope she runs? You betcha!
Great idea!
Sarah isn't polarizing she's de-polarizing – thawing out the stupidity of the left for all to see it was just frozen garbage.
Have you see this great editorial about Sarah?
"Sarah Palin may be the one liberals have been waiting for"
Posted by William A. Jacobson Friday, September 9, 2011 at 9:55am
"Pigs fly today. Anand Giridharadas at The NY Times picks up on this theme, recognizing that in vilifying Palin liberals have closed their minds to Palin’s ideas, which are liberal (in the traditional sense, not the modern Democratic Party sense):
Ms. Palin’s third point was more striking still: in contrast to the sweeping paeans to capitalism and the free market delivered by the Republican presidential candidates whose ranks she has yet to join, she sought to make a distinction between good capitalists and bad ones. The good ones, in her telling, are those small businesses that take risks and sink and swim in the churning market; the bad ones are well-connected megacorporations that live off bailouts, dodge taxes and profit terrifically while creating no jobs.
Strangely, she was saying things that liberals might like, if not for Ms. Palin’s having said them."
Oops Sorry, forgot the linky linky.
Palin knew Revere better than Obama knew Lincoln

Obama flubbed his history. Via Ed Morrissey, Obama inaccurately called Abraham Lincoln the founder of the Republican Party:

Sounds like you need a thread just for campaign slogans.
How about "Palin 2012: Refudiate Marxism"!
The kind of news Americans luv to hear!
Tell ya what, iffin you graduated from any of these institutions, make sure you let them know how you feel and make sure your normal donations will follow your feelings.
D'oh! Had to register with the NY Times! Ack!
Anand, the writer, says, "No one knows yet whether Ms. Palin will actually run for president. But she did just get more interesting. "
No, she been saying the same thing all along. It's just that someway, somehow, you actually listened to what she said and not what her critics thought about her hair.
I wonder if Anand will now be ostracized for his heresy?
