New Chicago Tour from Margaret Hicks at Chicago Elevated: The Disaster Tour!
Margaret Hicks is an absolute riot.
She’s a local tour guide from Chicago Elevated who gives the most amazing tours of various parts of the city, with as much emphasis on humor and fun as history. If you are coming to Chicago and looking for something interesting to do, then Hicks’ walking tours are a really fun way to do something different…and actually SEE Chicago, instead of looking at mostly the tops of cars driving by while on other tour buses.
Hicks’ new tour is about famous Chicago diasters.
The Disaster! Tour -
What do Fort Dearborn, an ill-fated cattle bridge and Dave Matthews have in common? They’re all part of a new tour brought to you by Chicago Elevated. The Disaster! Tour takes tourees through a series of unfortunate incidents, from the birth of our fair city through the modern day tribulations of Optimus Prime and tour buses over the river. We start with Fort Dearborn and maneuver through the rough times of wayward el trains to free-flying dirigibles that crash into buildings.
This tour will run Thursday/Friday/Saturday at 1:30.
As always, tours are $15.00 and 90 minutes.
If you’d like to come check this tour out, just write me back and let me know when you’d like to come, this is going to be a fascinating tour of human spirit and the inevitable mistakes that come from living in a crowded urban space.
And as always, if you’d like to be taken off the Chicago Elevated email list, just send an email back with the word “unsubscribe” in the subject line!
Thank you and I hope to see you all soon,
Margaret

Is there a stop at the home of the biggest disaster to hit Chicago (& the nation) – the Obama House?
"Optimus Prime," kind of a catchy new moniker for The One and Done POTUS. (I had to look it up. Apparently, Optimus Prime is the leader of the Autobots in the Generation One family of Transformer toys, apparently by Hasbro.) If I were near Chicago, I would definitely sign up for Margaret's "Elevated Tours." She sounds like a real kick in the pants!
OH! I wish we could get Margaret Hicks and her tour on national TV!!!!!!!!!
