If this performance of The Star Spangled Banner doesn’t make you cry, you are dead. Or your soul is dead, like The Grinch (pre-Cindy Lou Who) or Ebeneezer Scrooge (pre-Tiny Tim) or Michelle Obama (pre-your husband, who is not a Muslim, getting elected president.)
I hate the phrase, “it’s for The Children.” Too often, it’s used to justify hideous government excesses and violations of freedom. But in this case, what we’re doing really is for the children of America. Just remember that when you watch these girls perform. You’re working underground, as a member of the American Resistance, for them, for your own kids, for your nieces, nephews, grandchildren, for the kids at your church or synagogue, the kids down your street…for all the kids who have come after you and deserve to grow up in the greatest country on the face of the Earth, like you did.*
As Kevin DuJan said back on Memorial Day of 2009,
Today we think the focus should be on the men and women in uniform, past and present, who kept this nation safe and protected our freedoms…Whatever you are doing today, whether it’s a barbeque or a party or whatever, try to work the national anthem in there for a moment, and pause briefly to remember this is indeed not just “a pretend holiday”, but something that matters a great deal.
What did you do today to honor a Veteran?
*Unless you’re Barack Hussein Obama, who is not a Muslim, but coincidentally grew up in the largest Muslim country in the world, Indonesia. (Mr. President, you’ll just have to take our word for the fact that the United States of America is the greatest country that ever was.)

Anthony Weiner is doing the "holding hands with the wife" photo op:
http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2011/05/29/20…
That is *not* a comfortable couple. The meeja is trying to overstate the accusations now – the only evidence at the moment is that he sent a lewd picture, not that the Comely Coed is his mistress. The more they can overstate, the better the chance he can say "it wasn't as bad as the wingnuts said it was!" The fact that it's still pretty bad doesn't seem to impinge.
first sign of guilt
plus "the other woman's" latest statement was written by a political attorney – once we read that this morning – our radar went off that there must be more to this story – now with a "holding hands with the wife" photo – hmmmmmm – is not looking good for the weiney
Of course, the left is now trying to paint this as Breitbart (yeah, I know, that seems to be their mad lib of choice) picking on some 21 year old "girl". Because adults are always girls when the left wants to paint them as victims:

First, no one named the student until she herself released a statement. Secondly, her statement raised so many questions when she could have just quashed the rumours. Thirdly, why is Weiner not calling in a federal investigation for this horrendous breach of a Congressman's electronic account? (Incidentally, filing a false police report is a crime.) Why has Twitter not closed his account to investigate? Why has this notorious publicity whore not called a press conference?
Gotta chuckle over the NY Post's coverage of "Weiner-gate," replete with numerous puns that this story practically begs for! http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/weiner_goes…
There are also some interesting analyses over the past few days at DaTechGuy's blog (which I don't normally follow, but came across via memeorandum).
CBS has now reported the story. Also, Weiner has retained legal counsel. H/T Legal Insurrection.

Sarah's Rolling Thunder pics … nice … and I love the one of her greeting Allen West … beautiful http://www.sarahpac.com/posts/images-from-rolling…
We got a warm fuzzy from Sarah's Rolling Thunder pictures – with the biggest surprise being Sarah with Allen West at Rolling Thunder!!
So how did the media horde following Sarah (looking for a gaffe) not report the story of these two Mega-Rock Stars together for the first time?
Where is the speculation? The questions? only crickets chirp chirp from the top-tier LSM journalists and Fox – all of whom were on hand for every moment of Sarah's visit. So, how do they not report such news? Instead all we get is speculation about Utah Liberal Jon Huntsman and East Coast Liberal Chris Christie (both of whom at some point when told to do so in the future will either (1) attack Sarah Palin and the Tea Party; (2) run as a Dem, (3) run with a Dem (i.e., with Obama), or (4) as an Independent).
http://www.sarahpac.com/posts/images-from-rolling…
I think the Rolling Thunder joint appearance just gave us a natural first 2012 campaign image for Palin/West 2012 – we just need a photoshop whiz to lead the way.
This is how the President of the United States should be: full of joy and respect to honor the fallen warriors who have given their lives so that we can live free. She and her family do this from the heart, not as a photo op.
Bless you Sarah and family. Please run, our country needs you!
A beautiful day here in northern upstate New York and in a few minutes I am going
to attend a memorial service at our local VFW post.
I have to take a break from Weinergate to honor our armed forces for all they have done for
our great nation..
When I return though I have the whole day off from work to scour the internet and other blogs
with this Weinergate issue that isn't going away……
iowntheworld.com has some great posts along with aceofspades and others ….
You know this man is guilty…and the coverup borders on ridiculous now.
THANK YOU to the men and women who have served in our military. And a personal Thank You to Allen West for the service, inspiration and leadership you continue to provide.
Surprise!
Now Obama crony capitalist Goldman Sachs (top Obama donor, rescued by and top beneficiary of TARP, top employer of Dems and their families/cronies) helping to normalize $5.00 gallon gas prices this summer.
Mr Boehner – where are the investigations?

Bull pucky. We are nowhere near permanent decline or ruin. We are just going through growing pains as we explore new ideas (this whole century long experiment in communism has, I think, reached its pinnacle with obama). Most Americans are just preparing for a leader. One who will impel us to believe in ourselves again.
>>>She just got off a motorcycle in front of her legion yesterday….
Don't think president Obama (who is not a muslim) is furthering the rise of Islam in America and around the world? Ignore the sycophants, apologists and ignoramuses who turned him into a media darling and examine his actual record since he came into office. Islam is in a much stronger position vis a' vis the United States and the West since he was elected and is growing stronger day by day, in large part because he has fostered its spread in any number of ways and done nothing substantial to deter and prevent atrocities and potential calamities such as nuclear war in the Middle East. Talk about letting the genie out of the bottle…that's exactly what he has done.
Pause and reflect. And then do everything you can to keep him from getting re-elected in 2012. That would be the best way to honor the men and women of the Armed Forces and protect our freedom and way of life at the same time.

I can't believe that nobody has commented on this awesome video! God Bless America and those that keep her safe.

Awesome vocals for the anthem. Who were these girls? Where was this. Thanks for sharing!! Beautiful.
This was at a Texas Tech basketball game. My son went to school there and sent this video to me when it happened. It was awesome!
They're called the Texas Cuties and the clip is a few years old now.
Cactus Cuties, but they are, indeed, from Texas.
Thankfully, I am most certainly alive, because this is–far and away–the most moving rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" I've ever experienced in my somewhat long life! I'm still reaching for the "kleenex" tissue! Anyone who could hear these young ladies' performance and not be moved is most assuredly not an American at heart! We must all be willing to stand up, speak out, and fight in all ways necessary to continue to defend our precious, God-given freedom that's enshrined for all posterity in our founding documents! I thank every current and former member of our U.S. military for their courageous service and sacrifice, which allows each and every one of us to sleep under the blanket of freedom every night. Every time I see an American flag, today and every day, I thank God for this country, for its freedom-loving/good-hearted citizens, and I pray/say to myself, "long may you wave, Old Glory, long may you wave."
A LONE MARINE
This is an inspiring story:
WASHINGTON – In a city dedicated to monumental sacrifices, there's one that stands strong and never surrenders.
"It just gives me chills," says Jennifer Phillips of Virginia Beach. "I can't believe he's out there."
Retired Marine Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers has stood at this post since 2002.
"It’s an extremely long time to hold a salute that long," says Air Force Master Sergeant Russ Ware of Columbia, MD. "Takes a lot determination and a lot of discipline. This guy does it every year."

He did it this weekend with an uncasted broken wrist and appeared to be in distress, but he stood his post in the median for three hours.. I am unable to embed the video, but it can be seen here:

Nice clean rendition, not many frills and trills, wonderful tight harmony. But, sorry, I'm just not a big fan of any kids singing. That out of the way, the beat the carp (sic) out of the butchery most so-called professionals do to our Anthem when they perform it.
Here is a rendition of the Anthem that I do like. Has a bit of a taste of "Why We Fight" to it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4e6YE9S_Ow&fe…
Oh, and P.S., look who's pressuring Thomas to recuse himself…none other than the star of "Weiner-gate"!
For an administration that claimed it would be "the most transparent" evah, it's looking more and more opaque, particularly when it comes to what it's saying to its potential donors at closed-to-the-press fundraisers vs. what it's saying to the public via the LSM.

Thank God, my soul is not dead. Children really are our future. That was a beautiful clip and I wish those girls the greatest lives and boundless happiness. God Bless America.
