Unbelievable! But then, I just heard that some friends of ours are going to Egypt in March. I asked them if they were nuts, and they said they’ve ben planning this trip for a long time and they don’t want to cancel or they’d lose money. I pointed out that the U.S. EVACUATED Americans from Egypt a couple of weeks ago. I can’t believe they’d allow tourists to go back in there! Why does anyone want to go to the Middle East if they don’t have to?

It depends who was in charge where they got on the boats.

If it was the Opposition, there would be no massacre. If it was Gadhafi people, then the risk was high.

    Question of the day;
Why is it important to point out the Social Secretary of the WH is gay?
    Does this really matter?
Why did the WH feel the need to add that to the announcement?
Would they have pointed out the sexuality of a heterosexual?
For some reason, I find this offensive. As if the WH is saying: “see, we have a gay person in our circle”, rather then telling us how credentialed he might be in his bio. It feels like pandering.
Am I wrong in my assessment?

I think between the new Social Secretary and the refusal to defend DOMA in court, Obama is pandering to the gay vote. He lied to moderates about being centerist to get elected (against gay marriage) and now that he needs to appeal to his base he’s showing his far left agenda.

I think this is a move that is directly responding to the Hillbuzz threat. Hillbuzz is making a great case that conservatives and Sarah Palin are not anti-gay; however, that argument will not be as effective now that Obama is pro-gay marriage. He will lie and say his thinking “evolved”

The big question is will this split the black vote? Will the black churches be true to their faith or be blinded by appeals to their race?

    The polls of “perceptions”.

Nobody thought John McCain was going to even be close to win the GOP nomination in May of 2007. Even when he was second behind Bush in 2000. The “next in line” meme was no where to be found….untill he actually won.

Mike(Criminals Pardoner) Huckabee manged to win some 40,000 Iowa caucus votes to be the winner of the 2008 GOP Iowa caucus. 40, thousands votes in a state where almost 200,000 are registred Republicans is a missery.
Now, perception(not reality) places him as the top to regain Iowa in 2012. Perception is what is placing Mitt Romney as the front runner in New Hamphire 2012 primary “polls”.
Romney was beaten bad by John McCain in the New Hamphire primary 2008. And New Hamphire is supposed to be “home state” for this Mormon. How can we explain that even pouring millions into his campaign, Romney lost his “home state” by 9 points to a candidate from Arizona??

Perception is playing good with Sarah Palin in South Carolina primary 2012. Palin’s star made Nikki Haley come from fourth place to win the governorship of this state. That is why Palin is ahead in this state’s “polls”.

Everything on these ealy “polls” are based on perceptions: Hillary Clinton and Rudy Gulliani in 2007??

When January 2012 rolls along what will count is who can muster the most people to go vote in those primaries and caucuses. And the most exciting, historic, youthfull and attractive candidate will be the one who will win.

Mike Huckabee’s 40,000 misserable votes in 2008 Iowa caucuses could be nothing compared to what a a young and attractive Sarah Palin could do there in 2012.

Note: Iowa has over 700,000 registred Reoublican voters. It was some 645,000 in 2008. Mike(Rapist-Cop killer Pardoner)Huckabee won some 40,000 votes in the 2008 Iowa caucus.
That meager vote turn out was the 37% of the vote that gave this fat Baptist minister an early win in Iowa. Could this fat moderate repeat the same against a charismatic Evangelical like Sarah Palin in 2012? No chance!

People should not be voting because of looks.

They need to be voting because the candidate is the best when it comes to things like foreign policy.

To pick a candidate because of charisma is always a mistake… look at Hitler, it was said that he had charisma.

this is something that needs to be defunded.

I would love to see Congress put a limit on the White House expenditure.

In other words there needs to be a financial limit on what is available for parties and the like. Public funding should be limited to the State Dinner scenario.

If the occupants of the White House want to have entertainment then maybe their guests need to chip in for the tab.

Why are they being so inconsistent?

Obama on the Oscars. I think they should back off on the TV exposure. I didn’t help the Democratic cause last November elections & more than likely backfired especially in the Midwest. Obama-Reid-Pelosi team turned the Midwest from blue to red. Overhead some conversations in my office about several lifetime Democrats planning on voting Republican for now on. I don’t think the pollsters(even Rassmusen) realize how badly the Democratic & the public union brand name has been
    damaged here.

This is the second report of a prosecution relating to extremist Islam in GB… yet they do not get that letting in these people only increases the risk:

    Is Zimbabwe next?

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/03/01/3152078.htm

These Zimbabweans have been charged for watching a video of the Egyptian uprising.

The regime in Zimbabwe is not taking any chances. However, will there be an outcry from the Western powers?

    It will probably be crickets.
