What’s on your minds today?
Do you think all Hell will break out over Dr. Utopia’s new Healthcare Rationing plan, released this morning, which will raise taxes drastically and unconstitutionally require Americans, for the first time in history, to purchase a product?
What do you think of our new depiction of the current president?

What a nightmare.. he will pass this nonsense whether America wants it or not.
He is a one term President … and I dont think he cares.
Welcome to socialist America.
The reason he doesn’t care is that he will have accomplished his purpose. The democratic party would set up an eternal monument to their savior. By creating an eternal, ever-growing government entitlement he would have guaranteed the destruction of America. The America that it is obvious he looks at with disdain based on his numerous “apologies” for it.
Senator Judas Brown just voted for the jobs bill.
CNN just reported that newly-elected Massachusetts REPUBLICAN will vote FOR the DEMOCRAT so-called JOBS bill! Unbelievable! I knew I didn’t trust this guy.
ANOTHER SOCIALIST IN REPUBLICAN CLOTHING.
Another sycophant of JOHN MCCAIN.
We GOTTA GET JOHN MCCAIN REMOVED!
Please help us get rid of these people… go to FreedomTorch.com/donate
I’m so mad I can’t see straight. You know, Scott Brown made a statement a week or so ago where he said, “I’m beholden to no one. No one helped me get here.”
And I said, WHAT!? No one helped you get there!? I’m sorry Scott… millions of CONSERVATIVES from around the country donated to your campaign to the tune of ONE MILLION DOLLARS A DAY. WE HELPED YOU GET THERE
Received this email from “Pass the torch for freedom” on facebook..not looking good for Brown, but I guess he did say he was his own kind of Republican..oh well..it’s gonna be a revolution..otherwise I am going to hide someplace in the hills. I swear I am tired of it!
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN2221899520100222
No, I am glad Brown voted for it.
This was not a jobs bill as much as an extension of the unemployment benefits.
Also, you repubs/conservatives don’t realise even something more important:
the marxist dems cannot whine about “Party of No” crap anymore.
I am a democrat/independent, and figured Brown would vote for it, and I am glad he did, this is a chess match at this point.
Just need to last and block all major socialist crap until November 2010, like the rationcare bill.
this was a 15 billion dollar bill, Brown voting for this does not upset me one bit. If he votes for that disgusting rationcare or cap n tax, I will hit the roof!
No better representation of the Fruitloop-in-Chief can be found anywhere else in Wonderland. Kudos! I can’t compete. This is my best effort.

On my mind today: This clip of Bernie Sanders basically saying, hey, let’s use reconciliation for everything!
http://www.breitbart.tv/sen-sanders-reconciliation-on-healthcare-launches-far-left-legislation-landslide/
Ugh. He makes my blood. Boil. I am re-TERRIFIED about healthcare. And I will remain stressed about it all week and until – I hope, I pray – it becomes definitively clear that the House does not have the votes for reconciliation (or reeeconciliation, as this sycophantic idiot interviewing Sanders says).
Un-f-ing-real that they are on the verge of attempting reconciliation for healthcare. After the American people have made it 100% clear we don’t want this. Unreal.
Kelly, every day brings that familiar socked in the stomach sick feeling, doesn’t it? I guess I have learned my lesson about “harmless hippies”. They are like a malignant tumor that keeps spreading and growing! Thanks goodnes for the internet, and blogs otherwise we wouldn’t know ANYTHING! I read a piece on the relationship of Wall Street, Goldman Sachs and Barclay’s bank in the Carbon credit scam–a global enterprise that is incredibly corrupt. And then you have the Trial lawyers, Big Pharma and Big Insurance they will never quit trying to pass Health Care and Cap and Trade.
Couldn’t have said it better. Yep, you wake up, take a kick in the gut, catch your breath, spend the day recovering, nursing your wounds, trying to pick yourself up, find hope and optimism somewhere, go to bed trying to focus on the positive and feel some semblance of a prayer, then wake up, and take another blow.
I. Am. Exhausted.
I am, too, Kelly. This is absolutely maddening. The damn Obama and his minions are stealing my life from me. It’s fight them all the time, every day, every hour. Stop them. Get my representative and Senators to vote NO. NO. NO.NO. NO!!!!!
We don’t want this. We don’t need this.
IMPEACHMENT!
Kelly:
I am tired too.
Yes, exhausted — or perhaps better, my nerves are really shot after months of this (beginning with the approval in early November of Pelosicare).
On the other hand, today I’m feeling the anger bubble up again, and the urge to call some Senators, the most stalwart (Coburn, DeMint), not my own, the clowns from New York, concerning the reconcilation option.
But also, seeing as this plan would be initiated in the House, to call Rep. Bachmann’s office to encourage her and her colleagues to do everything to turn the requisite number of Democrats there against it.
Kelly, I’m with you. Every day brings a new and vicious assault on the public that has already rejected their “agenda”. I find myself wanting to just walk away from it – let them all see what this horrific take over of another industry will do to the economy. But then I rally because I can’t walk away. It’s my life, my health, my economic crisis, my country they are trying to destroy.
This is just the new and approved strategy. If they can’t spin you, and they can’t bully you, they’ll exhaust you – beat you down until you’re so tired of it you walk away from the battlefield. What I can’t understand is why, with the released information of this vile tactic, the R’s would even show up at a meeting that was sold to them by the president as a “starting point” for non partisan action on this bill when he’s already figured out a way to pass the same old crap and screw their feet into the Blair House floor!! Are they all that stupid that they don’t realize that video from this “meeting” will be used against them in ads for the November elections? I’m no political genius but this mistake is glaring at me like the scene in Friday the 13th when the kids were going near the pond and the music is rising and you just know that Jason is in the pond – he’s rising from the dead and you find yourself screaming at the screen – DON’T GO NEAR THE POND! NO! NO! DON’T GO INTO THE POND!!!
I have alerted all of my family and friends, for the 8th time in 4 months, to call their representatives [congress and senate – one of mine is Lautenberg!!] to let them know they are even more furious and that using “reconciliation” as a tactic to pass failed bills [health care and energy taxes] that no one wants, will bite them in November. It’s up to them to stop this madness and to walk away from a president that cares only of himself and his “agenda” to the obvious detriment of his congress and senate, not to mention us citizens.
If you have any energy at all, make a call, you’ll find your congress and senate representatives’ contact info here: http://www.house.gov/ type in your zip code and the contact info [local and DC] will come up. Get your senators’ numbers here: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm Type in your state and the two senators will appear. Click on their names and you will get district telephone numbers.
I feel the same way. Every freaking day it’s something new and something that will destroy my way of life. I’ve even come to thinking (cause I’m a tad old) is that I thankfully won’t have to endure much of this healthcare crap cause I’ll be dead. What an effing way to have to think.
Brownwen – this reminds me. A few months back I saw Thomas Sowell (a BRILLIANT socio-economist at the Hoover Institute, I recommend anything and everything he’s written) say something similar. Sowell, for some background, is an African American man who, in his 20s, went the anger/marxist/blame others/America is evil route, and then had his awakening and now is vehement limited govt fiscal conservative. He’s been predicting Obama (meaning a man like Obama, hell bent in driving our country off the cliff in the name of marxist utopia) for decades. He’s 80 (so clearly he’s got some decades on you!). This past summer I saw him on Beck say, while discussing where this country might go if the progressives have their way, that he feels relieved he won’t have to live to see it.
It was one of the most chilling, odd, sad, and unfortunate things I’ve heard said in all of this madness.
How tragic and sad, isn’t it, to be at a point of thinking such things.
But I get it. On the flip, I’m 30, and I’m thinking, wow, should I even have kids? Do I want to bring children into this type of tyrannical world that could fail to look like the free world I grew up in?
F-ed up, really, is what it is, that they have us thinking this way. But that’s what they want – us to totally give up.
So we must not. We must soldier on. And channel this anger into action.
HB: Action plans pretty please!
Oh and speaking of Sowell: Boyz, I meant to post this in your History of the Race Industry post a few days back. Two fantastic books on this topic:
Sowell – Black Rednecks and White Liberals, an excellent book that looks at how liberals began to keep blacks suppressed and poor dating back to the 40s and 50s. (He’s got several other books on race, this is just a good start.)
White Guilt – how white guilt is exploited to keep us divided, and keep blacks suppressed, poor and dependent.
http://www.amazon.com/White-Guilt-Together-Destroyed-Promise/dp/0060578637/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1266862319&sr=1-1
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Rednecks-Liberals-Thomas-Sowell/dp/1594031436/ref=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1266862204&sr=8-26
Your reaction is natural. It is no coincidence that the birth rate in socialist Europe is in a death spiral. Russia’s is at 1.3 children per female–a point from which is nearly impossible for a society to recover. It’s ironic that we will rely on future generations to pay for this bill, but if it is enacted, it may cause people to stop having babies. BUT–the fight is not over yet. Chin up and soldier on!!
I adore Thomas Sowell, I’ve read one of this books, oh for the life of me wish I could remember it! I didn’t see him say this on Beck, how sad. Okay, now I’m fired up, cause if one of my idols can say this then it’s wrong, wrong, wrong! I won’t go down silently, I can tell you that!
I recall you saying we couldn’t get rid of Pelosi. Is this guy someone we should look at to do the job. I rely on your judgment well above mine, so I would like to know what you think and know of him.
Dear Fellow Concerned American:
I want to remind you of the scariest words in Washington – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. If that name still causes you to squirm, get angry and grind your teeth, then keep reading.
Like you, I’m tired of waking up every day to see Nancy Pelosi and her cronies work to fulfill the agenda of Barack Obama without regard for how it chips away at our national sovereignty, undermines our national economy and mortgages our children’s future. As a father, I’m worried about how their actions will impact my daughter, your children and future generations of Americans.
My concerns for our nation’s welfare are not strictly based on my affiliation with the Republican Party, but as a father, small business owner and patriotic American. I’m concerned that we continue to lose our rights and liberties daily as Washington politicians, led by Speaker Pelosi, want to force us to submit to socialism.
I’m a proud American who wants our nation to succeed in the vision of our Founding Fathers and refuses to see it continue down this wayward course of a death spiral.
That’s why I’m running for Congress against Nancy Pelosi.
You may think that a campaign of this nature is a lofty, unrealistic goal, but I believe that during these difficult economic times, the people of California’s 8th Congressional District deserve a Congressman who will represent their interests and that of America. In fact, I’m so confident that I can win this race for several reasons, that I’ve seeded the campaign with my hard-earned savings before I asked anyone for a dollar.
Just a few weeks ago, Nancy Pelosi was quoted in the venerable, inside-the-beltway newspaper, The Hill, stating, “I’m in campaign mode.”
Well, I can’t imagine why any Member of Congress, let alone the Speaker of the House would feel the need to boast about being in campaign mode, unless we were giving her a reason to worry. I think the people of the 8th District are starting to feel like the rest of my campaign team and America—it’s time for Nancy to RETIRE!
After all, millions of patriotic Americans have refused to remain quite while Pelosi’s Congress files bill after bill seeking to strip us of our individual liberties. Fortunately, there are still some of us who know what individual liberty, limited government, and the free markets mean to the success of this great Republic.
That’s why I need your help to ensure we get this message out to tens of thousands of voters in this district as well as to the millions of liberty-loving Americans who want Nancy Pelosi to retire. Will you please contribute to the fund to retire Nancy Pelosi by supporting my campaign TODAY?
Every day, millions of Americas are now waking up to these realities and are ready to join us in taking back OUR government. It starts by removing those in power who are more concerned with their stranglehold on power, than their oath to OUR Constitution.
While the dollar has weakened over 35%, destroying our nation’s purchasing power and savings, Pelosi and her cronies were seeking ways through Pelosicare and other initiatives, to tax my daughter and future generations of Americans into lifelong debt.
The Federal government spends relentlessly, starting with Pelosi’s rides on private Gulftstream jets and fresh flowers for her office, while Americans starved, unemployment now exceeds 10% and law-abiding citizens went without proper medical care.
We continue to send troops in harm’s way, in a muddled, unconstitutional nation-building morass, with no end in sight. Simultaneously, Pelosi takes lead from President Obama, and the European NGO’s in attempt to commit our wealth, unconstitutionally, to a tax scheme for the World Bank and IMF.
Nancy Pelosi rams health care “reform” legislation down our throats that will only worsen a problem and increase healthcare rationing, with a projection of costs that grows exponentially on a daily basis. The problem was first, CAUSED by the government, and will NEVER be solved by the government.
In spite of all of the bad news, I see signs of hope.
Activism and peaceful protests against all of the Federal government’s shenanigans are increasing. We must use this energy to beat back Nancy Pelosi and force her into retirement..
My lifelong experiences in life, international business, and civic involvement have prepared me to go to Washington and unwind that mess. I’ve already spent time meeting with international businessman, leaders and understand the global impact we have on other nations.
Our campaign to retire Nancy Pelosi is a personal one.
After all, the welfare of my daughter, your children and grandchildren are at stake. We cannot allow Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and their Democratic machine to strip us of our individual liberties while they continue to increase our national debt and jeopardize our national security.
The repercussions are unimaginable!
Our campaign is breaking new ground daily. We’ve already received endorsements that reflect the uniting force of liberty, as well as demonstrate our ability to win.
That’s right – I said win.
So please join the campaign and help in any way you can. Please follow this link to make a generous contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or any amount you can afford to give. The federal maximum contribution is $2400 per person, but any amount is appreciated.
Remember, the money we raise won’t match Pelosi’s war chest or the support she’ll receive from PACs and K Street lobbyists, but I know your support comes with the energy of liberty-loving Americans who are ready to take back control of the Congress.
Together we can retire Nancy Pelosi this coming November! Thank you.
Yours in liberty,
John Dennis
Candidate for Congress
California’s 8th Congressional District
P.S. This is your moment to decide the very future of this country and our national sovereignty! Pelosi will have a coalition of unions, pharmaceutical companies and other special interest groups funding her campaign in an effort to keep her where they need her—in the Speaker’s Chair. That’s why I need your immediate support TODAY. Please follow this link to make your contribution of $25, $50, $100 or $250 right away. Thank you.
You may also mail your contributions to:

I was just getting ready to post!
ARe we going to go for it? I say yes..we have got to scare Pelosi. NObody thought we could take MA.Did I see a facebook group “Impeach Nancy Pelosi”? Let’s stir it up!
Can John Dennis send Nancy home?
Dick Morris has a plan of running ads against vulnerable “conservative” dems to stop reconciliation. Do you think this is a worthy cause?
http://mainfo.blogspot.com/2010/02/how-we-can-fight-back-against.html
If this actually passes, the first call I will make is to my insurance guy to cancel my health insurance coverage. As soon as I have a written confirmation of the cancellation of my policy, I will digitize it and email it to the White House along with my contact information and SS#, notifying them that I, a sovereign citizen of the United States of America, elect NOT to purchase health insurance. I will not pay their tax penalty, and if they have a problem with that, they can come a get me. I would make an AWESOME political prisoner.
Dr. U, as an Indonesian, does not yet understand that you don’t play chicken with the United States of America.
Some people feel that is exactly what Obama is doing, playing chicken.
Not only Obama, Reid too — as per one of the hypotheses put forward by Neo-Neocon to clarify what they are actually up to:
http://neoneocon.com/2010/02/20/the-undead-the-public-option-rising-from-the-grave/
Dag,
You’d make her proud.
Love your plan, and your user name…
Does everyone realize what it means when Obama wants to have the government control what insurance companies charge you? And they get mad when people call them socialist/marxist? Our country is being ripped apart right before our eyes. Does this man realize that he is not a king? God help us.
Let’s fill them in, Danny. If the regime sets prices for private insurance that cause the insurance companies to lose money, they will stop offering new insurance policies, thus causing MORE people to be uninsured. The consequences of this will be a.) more people paying Obama’s tax penalty for being uninsured and b.) the regime bringing forth their “public option” and painting it as necessity because private insurance is “no longer viable”.
This is exactly how the Soviets operated. They would set production quotas for grain farmers – and then refuse to provide them with seed. When the farmers didn’t meet their quota, they were declared “enemies of the people” and imprisoned and/or executed. This is EXACTLY the same thing. It is evil to the bone and we can not roll over and let them do this.
I think Obama would love to take control of the insurance companies just like he has done GM and Chrysler. First, he needs them to have a financial crisis. He will accomplish this by limiting what the can charge for policies. Once, they are bankrupt, he will “bail them out” by taking majority ownership. He “wouldn’t want them to go under” because so many people would suffer if their policies are cancelled. Once he has ownership, he will then do whatever the heck he wants.
I am beginning to think that he is as evil as they come.
He is evil and so is his backer–$oro$.
MOmom: Precisely, Hot Air has that here, this is their plan – to bankrupt the insurance companies and force universal healthcare:
http://hotair.com/archives/2010/02/22/new-obamacare-bill-are-you-ready-for-price-controls-on-insurance-premiums/
I feel bad for the poor pig… he didn’t choose to hang out with this sucka. {gotta read the bill later; I’m in a webinar}
Great PShop work on the new Blue Queen of Farts, seapea!
However, in spite of the ‘porkulus’ connection, as mentioned by Hillboyz, I think the piglet, while adorable, is not appropriate.
As a Muslim, the ‘Queen’ would not touch a pig with a ten-foot pole.
I don’t know what could replace it, since the only thing he’d be cuddling would be himself. Maybe some sacks of cash.
Maybe he could cuddle a George Saurosaur?
Or a Sorosiraptor.
I am in awe of SeaPea’s work. Wow! Love LOVE the Hopey-O tapestry on the dress. It’s gorgeous.
If I may be so bold as to suggest a reversion to the earlier edition, though… maybe maybe keep the red hair? This is a parody of the Red Queen, and maybe parody is best when not too much is changed from the original. Plus, the original red hair is so Elizabethan. (Does anybody remember Blackadder’s queenie? Now there was one spoiled autocrat.)
On the other hand, if you start calling Dr O the Blue Queen instead, the blue hair makes perfect sense!
I believe that as soon as the bill is passed, there will be MASSIVE lawsuits filed on behalf of Americans. Judicial Watch is probably just waiting for this idiocy to pass, as it’s unconstitutional to FORCE people to buy insurance for their health.
This bill won’t improve people’s lives, it will KILL people.
You can’t MAKE people stop eating potato chips and ice cream, and neither can the Government.
To prove my point: my Aunt works at a “rest home” and two of the patients there are morbidly obese. Like 600 lbs. Paid for by Medicare.
Which means that you pay for it.
I pay for it, and guess what?
Those two “patients” demand all the food that they want, and they get it. They can’t be turned down because they are “sick”.
That is what a Government funded program looks like.
Once people are feeding off the teet of Government for free, they will “demand” care and will tell you to go to hell when you ask them to take care of themselves.
This is a takeover of our sovereignty, folks, and Americans better WAKE UP to this socialst/marxist takeover.
Anyone who thinks that a program like this is going to help the sick is sadly deluded.
I know ther are a few state attorney generals prepared to file suit. Indiana is one of them… not sure the other states.
I believe South Carolina is one, also.
Texas too. Wish NJ’s new Governor would jump into the fray.
Hey, does anyone know whether Bayh is using the fact that he won’t be running for office as an excuse to keep caving ObamaCare, or is he still amenable to voter influence?
In the wider perspective, who can we bother today to see that this monstrosity doesn’t become law?
Bayh is not a moderate.
He has voted with Obama on EVERY bill presented.
Of course he’s going to keep caving.
Why change his stripes now?
Exactly! This notion Evan Bayh is moderate is nonsense.
I have wondered myself whether Bayh decided to resign simply so he could have a free pass to vote for ObamaCare.
Who can still be pressured to not cave this time around? Anyone in Illinois? Indiana? Michigan?
Any of them who want to keep their “fat-cat” jobs, their immense expense accounts, and their benefit perks are susceptable to the “numbers”. I have been told that there is a magic number that congress responds to. If the number of calls they receive goes beyond that magic number, they know they are going to lose their jobs. This time, they all “seem” to be on board with Obama. I am hoping that with call after call, they realize that their “hope” to pass this bill will cost them more than they want to give up.
Good Lord, November can’t come soon enough.
Speaking of which . . .
Dr. Utopia’s closest living relative other than his sister is a doctor and a blogger . . .
http://www.ihatethemedia.com/barack-obama-closest-living-relative-is-a-conservative-blogger
Ironies abound. Link to said relative’s blog is in the article.
His (Wolf’s) argument against healthcare is one of the best I’ve read, and ironically from a relative of ‘The Won.’
He is 100% right about the VA. My internship as a “corpse-man” (rolls eyes) was at the VA in Waukegan, IL– near Chicago. My memories there still give me nightmares and pause. I sit and cry even today over some of the things that I saw go on there.
And these are our veterans! They are given no dignity or compassion. You rarely see the ‘stationed’ doctors, and the nurses are hateful and incredibly lazy, it’s amazing what they “don’t have to” do. IF I honestly had ONE, ONE that made me think they weren’t all pure evil, I wouldn’t paint so broadly. It may be different somewhere else, but not in Waukegan, not 10 years ago.
As for the doctors, the specialists used to be on the first floor, and they were new, happy doctors that were great, but they were like us, just passing through for internships. And they had no idea either on how to handle the general unbelievable actions of the nurses. It was always…’get me a corpsman.’ The stationed doctors were hardened, sometimes apathetic. Not nearly as bad as the nurses at all, but you rarely got to see them, and they were ALWAYS in a hurry.
I feared every morning that I would be the one to get a ‘cold’ (died in his sleep) patient. Because after we left for barracks at 7pm, they weren’t checked on until 6-7am when we did our morning duties. Half couldn’t remember their names, how to speak, or who their family was. And they’d die there alone. Some that did have family would die (suffer) alone because the nurse’s ‘didn’t have time’ or just didn’t care about contacting them to tell them that their dad, husband, brother, etc had taken a turn for the worse.
Even during day visits with vets that hadn’t passed yet, family members always left crying. It was worse than a funeral on our floor. The ones that didn’t have family would break your heart even more. They’d sit (lay) in bed all day, (and in other things I don’t want to go into.) They’d get so attached to you, and all of us knowing that we had to leave them there after internship.
Corpsman-interns were spread all over that hospital, from geriactrics to mental health (MH was the worst of the worst care–that was one of the most dehumanizing things I’ve ever been through, was on that floor.) :/
Anyway, being military we all had to go home to our barracks together. All of us were haunted at the end of the day. We couldn’t just ‘chat’ about it, you know? We were a bunch of happy kids studying at Corps School before our internship assignment.
Believe this–I thank God for that Hospital Corps intership program regardless of what I had to witness there. Because it’s the corps men and women that provide the real work and compassion there.
Without them, (and knowing a new class of ‘DOCS’ will be guarding our veterans after me), I couldn’t have lived with myself for having to leave for orders.
From Lucianne via American Thinker:
For the second time in five months, the Obama White House is being accused — by Democrats — of offering high ranking government jobs in return for political favors. What no one is reporting is that this is a violation of federal law that can lead to prison time, a fine or both, according to Title 18, Chapter 11, Section 211 of the United States Code.
The jobs in question? Secretary of the Navy and a position within the U.S. Agency for International Development.
The favor requested in return? Withdrawal from Senate challenges to two sitting United States Senators, both Democrats supported by President Obama. The Senators are Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania and Michael Bennet in Colorado.
link: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/02/the_new_scandal.html
Rep. Joe Sestak, of PA…WAS OFFERED a FEDERAL JOB (cushy one) for NOT running against Snarlin’ Arlen Specter…the newly minted Democratic Senator (who rubber stamps all things Obama).
I cannot link right now…but wpxi.com did a story on this last week.
OMG! If there is proof of this, we’re going to have an interesting summer.
I absolutely adore this picture! Awesome work seapea!
What are these guys smoking? Don’t they realize how angry the American public is going to be if they force this down our throats? They are either really stupid or they just don’t care. I tend to think they just don’t care at all about what the American public wants. They have their agenda and come hell or high water they are not going to back down from it.
Obama is a marxist.. he doesnt care.
Apperently the Dems dont care either.
http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/02/i_am_sarah_palins_brain.html
I loved this!! Exactly what was needed after all of the hit pieces by the media elite last week.
Can we make the pig resemble meeechelle? And don’t forget the lipstick!
Doc Zero refers to them as “the intellectually bankrupt Left.”
I think that a good comeback when people say Sarah isn’t smart enough.
http://www.doczero.org/2010/02/progress-into-entropy/
This is my comeback to those people:
http://robomonkey.wordpress.com/2010/02/22/palin-by-comparison/
President Obama was set to deliver his healthcare insurance reform bill this morning on TV. So I shut off the TV. I don’t understand him – as the supposedly canny politician that he is. I think the GOP should say “We are surprised that President Obama revealed HIS OWN version of healthcare insurance reform, THREE days before he is supposed to sit down with us to hear our plans and ideas. That he did not wait until AFTER our meeting with him, demonstrates, once again, how uninterested the Democratic Party is in “bi-partisanship” – we now have THREE versions of Reform: the House, the Senate and now the White House plan and in none of them were Republicans asked to or allowed to participate in the discussions/drafting of those refroms. Since Thursday is clearly nothing but a transparent political ploy, we must adivise the President that we will not be attending.”
And the GOP might be heartened by this from Rasmussen today:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 22% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. That matches yesterday’s result as the lowest level of strong approval yet recorded for this President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19 (see trends).
The only day that Barack Obama’s Approval Index ratings were lower than today was last December 22. Like today, that came at a time when the President was making a strong push for his proposed health care legislation. Most voters have consistently opposed that plan.

One thing I’m keeping an eye out for today or early this week is a wallop of a Facebook posting on the latest iteration of Obamacare from Sarah Palin.
Sarah will have something to say about this ..you betcha!!!!!!
Oh I really hope she throws some death stars today!!!
Boyz…I LOVE the use of OBAMA BLUE!!! Awesome work, SeaPea:)
What is on my mind today…well…in true Cloward Piven strategy we are being ‘overwhelmed.’
More on the fraud of GloBull warming is coming out…and apparently Dear Leader will NOT be able (yet another failed campaign promise) to lower the Seas.
Because…it was a LIE, a FRAUD, an OBFUSCATION of science that the seas had risen…
Once again, across the pond, the British press is kicking the American ‘stenographers’ collective arses…

Two more scientists, backpedling faster than Gibbsy in the Press Room. Martin Vermeer, of the Helinski University of Technology; and Stefan Rahmstorf, of Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research both want a climate/warming/sea level ‘mulligan.’ Seems (and who else saw this coming) there were some errors in their research.
People. Need. To. Go. To. Jail…for this!!!
Sorry if I posted this twice. I just want to make sure people read it:

What do you think of our new depiction of the current president?
My wife loves Alice in Wonderland even more than she dislikes Obama. This one (and the Tweedles) ought to go over great with her, too.
This is a great gem from down here in Texas.

Sometimes, ‘help’ arrives from the most unlikely sources.
…I repeated this story in class, correctly anticipating I would incur the wrath of some of my classmates, just as my conduct had outraged (and surprised) some of my co-workers. But I feared this disclosure could alienate my esteemed teacher. On the contrary; Professor Zinn, who would refuse to cross our picket lines, defended my decision.
Walking alone across campus, I saw Professor Zinn engaged in animated conversation with a man I recognized as Professor Murray Levin. Howard was already a legend by this time; I had no pedigree. Speaking up in class was one thing; here, I had no classmates to act as buffer. But my presence on the path clearly had been detected; going around the two men would have made me even more conspicuous. Now, I would have to say something. So, living in my head, I practiced a polite “hello,” determined I could at least get that out, and then keep on walking. All would have gone according to plan except that as I was making my exit, Professor Zinn exclaimed, “Wait!,” reaching out his arm to draw me into their conversation. He turned to Professor Levin. “Murray, I want you to meet my star pupil.” I could have predicted at that time, I would never forget those words, or how special I felt when he spoke them, for as long as I live….

CPAC Speaker booed off stage for opposing gay groups. I thought conservatives hated gays? Oh, yeah, I heard that from the mainstream media…what was I thinking.
I was thrilled when my DD sent me the youtube link to that! I’ve been telling her for ages that not all conservatives hate gays! I saw this myself on fox so to have her find it on her own, was fabulous!! She said there is hope yet!
Ugh!!! Michelle, (#24) you beat me to it!! Verrry interesting read.
And yeah, as so many people have commented- that picture is simultaneously great, scary, awesome, disturbing, etc….
That looks wonderful, Seapea!
Let’s talk about something less depressing than health care… namely U.S hockey. However, I’m not sure how NBC actually didn’t televise the game. They had snow cross and the ridiculous Russian ice dancers as well.
Just had to post this:
A man was telling his co-worker one day that the company was
transferring him to Chicago. He explained that he was going to
quit before he had to move there.
When asked why, he replied that he was just too afraid of all the
crime even though he would be passing up a big salary increase
and greater benefits.
His co worker said to reconsider. Chicago was a magnificent city,
with world class museums, loaded with a great history, sites,
good public transportation, etc.
Then he said, “Why I myself worked in Chicago for almost 10
years, and in all that time I never ever had a problem with crime
while I was working.”
The first asked, “What did you do there?”
To which the other replied, “I was tail-gunner on a bread truck.”
In a very exciting development at CPAC over the weekend, Ron Paul, the libertarian conservative from Texas, won the presidential straw poll with a massive 31% of the vote. Mitt Romney was in 2nd with 22%. Sarah Palin was 3rd with 7%, Tim Pawlenty got 6%. (Sarah was not at the event.)
This tells me that conservatives are just as fed up with RINOs as they are with Obummer, and that supporting the Constitution, sound money, and low taxes are a winning platform.
This clip is a great interview with Ron on Fox News about the straw poll and the future of the country.

And I for one will campaign against him. His writings on 9-11 are disgusting.
I agree with so much he has to say but I personally do not believe that if we left all the countries where we had bases and just did not occupy one acre of land anywhere else, that the terrorists would just say “okay, we’ll leave America alone now”. They hate us because we stand in the way of what they want to do which is spread Islam to all corners of the earth. And to take away all our forces leaving the rest of the world to fend for themselves against these nut jobs is not going to be good for any of us.
I agree that I think we should build up our defense and maybe go a little less on the offense, but I just think they will always hate us…they hate us because we are free. And if they do stop hating us, then some other group that is less well-off than we are as a nation will start to hate us just as much.
Iron Dog update: Davis/Palin had to scratch today do to Davis hurting back…

I’m watching the Olympics and Brokaw just did a story about Kevin Pearce and his family (the snowboardert that was hurt a few months ago) including hid brother, David, who has Down’s…Brokaw was going on about how wonderful David is, etc, etc and how wonderul it is how this family has taken care of David, etc, etc..blah blah
And I am thinking?? Why ok to carry on about this family but go out of their way to put Sarah and Trig down?? Sometimes I feel like I live in the un-real world..
