What’s on your mind this Monday?

Here in Chicago, it’s now official that we’ve had the coldest August on record…and are poised to have the coldest fall and winter in years too, we believe. So much for anthropogenic global warming.  The cold coincides perfectly with the lowest solar flare activity in years, which is what we believe’s affecting our planet’s climate.  Curbing pollution is always a good thing, but it’s not going to impact what’s going on with the sun. No amount of Cap&Trade can do that.

****

Boston Globe is pushing the Cape Wind Project some more…which we think should be named the Edware Moore Kennedy Memorial Cape Wind Project, so that liberal loons would be forced to stop opposing it and the clean energy project could finally be built, after 7 years of Kennedy stalling, and bring electricity to 300,000 people on the Cape Islands in Massachusetts.

****

Dr. Utopia’s approval ratings are down to 46%, according to Gallop, which heavily favors Dems and has been adjusting its numbers to make the White House look as good as possible, in our opinion.  So if Gallop says it’s down to 46%, Dr. Utopia’s in real trouble.  How long before you think it will get below 40%?  We think sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas, when holiday shoppers realize how little money they have to spend and how, just a year before, Dr. Utopia promised them all things would be unicorns and rainbows by now.

****

Totally on a tangent, we heard a leaked copy of Whitney Houston’s new album, dropping later this week, today.  It’s FANTASTIC.  Not what we were expecting, kind of sedate, but something we will listen to over and over again.  We are rooting for Whitney 100% and want her to have the biggest comeback in a generation.  She’s earned it. Just wait until you hear it.

There are more of us ex-Dem-pats out there speaking up, which I will too at the 9-12 DC Tea Par-TAY :)

I will be in Washington on the 12th also.

The town on Long Island in which I live, has three buses going to DC that day.

The Dem party that I used to know were not socialists or communists. I understood the liberal leanings, but this is either going to ruin the Dem party, or give it such power it will always be in charge. That’s what’s so scary. Obama has to succeed in the socialization of our country. If he doesn’t the Dem’s are over as a party, they are finished. He will not let that happen without the fight of his life. This is getting beyond ugly, people.

I agree ….. and the fact he has his hands on the census could turn this into something truly dangerous as well. We could lose the power of voters entirely.

Yes, the census. They will manipulate the numbers to suit their needs. Obama will win by any means neccessary. We all know this as a fact. He will cheat, steal, and get out the obots. He knows if he loses, the party is over. He always gets what he wants. Pure evil is at work here, and only the people in large numbers can beat him. 18 million of us couldn’t beat him, so I’m talking LARGE numbers.

No doubt in my mind that Obama knew about this deal and did not try and stop it. I pray that this will get some coverage and that irrefutable evidence will surface. I wonder if this is the event that Biden warned about? The deal has been in the works for over 2 years supposedly.

To suggest that Scotland/GB released a terrorist responsible for killing so many Americans without, at the very LEAST, notifying our state department is ridiculous.

If they did release him without telling us, then so much for Obama’s great efforts to engender greater international cooperation.

However, my guess is that they told us, and that Hillary knew, and strongly objected. I would not be surprised if she comes out at some later point and discusses this… or at least orchestrates a leak to damage Obama. I’d guess about the time his poll numbers stop falling.

I keep reading this and find it puzzling – Hillary did object strongly, and the release was delayed because of it. It was in our papers – did you not get that news in America? Hillary also said she took it personally, because she knew some of the American families who had lost loved ones.

Too late, I think for Libya to do anything to make amends for the obscene greeting Ghaddafi gave him.
It’s time for America to kick the UN out of our country and certainly time to get some backbone and refuse entry to Ghaddafi. We’ve played host to terrorists long enough.

Yeah, don’t hold your breath. Even when his rating dip below President Bush’s, they’ll refer to him as “the most popular President evah!” They have to say that, it’s the only reason he was elected. Popularity. Not experience. Not policy. Not his life history (which no one actually knows). Not his ability to deal properly with foreign nations. People voted for him because he is black (that’s RAAAAAACIST!) and because he was painted as “cool” to the public and they believed it.

I hear rumors Obama will announce his plan for MANDATORY CIVILIAN CORPS. on 9/11. He wants to take control of student loans and force students to do mandatory community service to get the loans. I am not sure what his plans for others are. 9/11 is still a big wound for so many people and Mr. Change You Can Believe In is just rubbing salt in it.

Further, see link below to article re: the appointment of Obama’s Energy Czar who applauded the attacks on American Imperialism which took place in our country on Sept. 11. Does Obama have any friends who are not radical terrorists?

Does this mando community service garner a decrease in interest rate and is it for only the subsidized loans?
Right now, both un & sub loans are running about 6.8% which is ridiculously high. Parent loans are crazy high and are going up.
Which of the student loans are they talking about? There are different types and not everyone qualifies for all of them.
Another question – there are lots of grants but only those who qualify for a Pells Grant qualify for other grants. So, are they also in the lump for community service?

I believe it is Dick Morris who I’ve seen speaking about Obama’s plans for student loans.

Basically they want to start by offering to pay for anyone’s college — in return, that person will have to work for the government for TEN YEARS.

Then the government will start imposing more and more regulations on banks and other institutions who do student lending, slowly forcing everyone out of the market, thereby increasing their own rolls.

I think it would be absolutely foolish for Obama to try to push this through. He will be absolutely blasted for it.

China is a good strategy, since we have such a huge debt load with them. A way to put them on notice that they are going to have much better luck getting that debt paid off under her Administration versus Obambi’s.

Also, I wouldn’t believe anything about speaking engagements until we hear back from her office. This would be just like the press to make this crap up to try and discredit her or label her as erratic.

I think Eric Holder is trying to jockey for power, because Obama is no leader. I know a lot of you don’t like Dick Cheney, but he made a comment about this yesterday on FoxNews Sunday with Chris Wallace. Basically, it was the POTUS is the boss and the fact that his Cabinet are doing what they want, does NOT show good leadership abilities.

We are living in a very dangerous time, and if the POTUS has no power then there will be a lot of crazy shit happen. People are ruthless and hungry when there is a power vacuum.

      Obama is doing the two-step.

I do not believe Eric Holder is acting alone. Obama and his cadre of disciples are far to savvy to allow someone like Eric Holder to make them look stupid.

Rather, I believe the investigation of the CIA officials was announced for a couple reasons.

      1) Smokescreen / distraction — Obama’s getting killed in the polls over health care. They’re floating stuff out there to run interference.

      2) Appease the base, try to use this to drum up anti-Bush sentiment and rally the core to support health care reform.

      3) Because all they announced is the “investigation”, in another couple weeks or months they can announce they found no reason to prosecute and drop the whole thing.

      4) Obama has plausible deniability on being responsible for the investigation, and they can trumpet the “Attorney General is beholden to the People, not the President” card.

      5) If things get out of hand, Obama can step in and look like the good guy.

Unfortunately, I think it was a huge miscalculation.

This was Obama’s weakness all along — he had great lofty rhetoric, but no substance. His team knew what to say to fire people up, but the community organization model that worked so well in Chicago doesn’t work en masse on the rest of the country. In fact, the reaction to those methods are damaging Obama at every turn, now that people are figuring out there is nothing behind the curtain except a naked Emperor.

This is just another miscalculation, and Obama has trapped himself into a corner yet again.

Eric, I agree, but I also think there is so much hubris in the Oval Office right now, that with a leader who creates chaos due to his own ineptitude. Everyone says “he is so brilliant!” I have not seen evidence of that yet. Whatever you might say about the Bush/Cheney White House, you cannot say that it was a disorganized mess. You knew who was in control and you didn’t mess around.

Give it time. With every passing day, we will see more evidence of his inexperience. There is no mistake that he won’t make his college records public. He saw what those records did for John Kerry and George W. Bush. He’s got stuff to hide and if they were to come out, it would refute everything the kool aid drinking crowd had believed about him. But, it’s only a matter of time before those records leak.

When Sarah Palin herself confirms the speech, I will beleive it. How many times have people used her name to get large audiences and then tried to blame her for not showing up, when she never agreed to be there in the first place?

Conservatives4Palin has a really funny “3am phone call” audio up. Go check it out, and then cry because it is true. That bozo in the WH is more afraid of Sarah and VP Cheney than he is of the Taliban. But then, he seems to agree with the Taliban on so many things.

Well, an Oligarchy can be the de jure form of government, or it can be the de facto form of government. In other words, we could be referred to as a “Republic”, when in fact we might be a “Social Democracy”.

In any case, “socialism” refers to an ideology ownership of resources and national wealth is more or less evenly distributed among the citizens.

“Oligarchy” simply describes “government by the few” — where power is consolidated among a relatively small group.

Socialism necessitates authoritarianism because it is contrary to human nature for the “Have’s” to indiscriminately distribute the fruits of their labor to the “Have Not’s” — this is why every true socialist state has, at one or more points in their history, dabbled in elements of fascism.

Some people will argue that fascist regimes are autocratical in nature, but I disagree. One man, or woman, simply does not have the power to truly rule an entire country without help. Even Hitler had men upon whom he relied to help actually administer his tyrannical rule.

Therefore, most fascist regimes are in fact oligarchies in practice. Hence, socialism and oligarchy can very easily co-exist. In fact, it’s quite likely that they would.

I just checked and the rumor may be true about Chappaquidick. I was surprised to see who her in-laws will be…a former senator or congressman from Iowa, who did time for corruption, and a women from PA who probably lost her try at a second term because of her vote for Bill Clintons controversial budget in 1993. Hers was the deciding vote. I remember being pretty annoyed at her as I am a PA independent/conservative. Chelsea may have found the best in-laws possible…as everyone but the two kids seem to be bringing baggage to the family picnic table. Best of luck to Chelsea and Marc….I think they will make it. But if it is actually on Chappaquidick, I may even send her a wedding gift.

If I recall correctly, her soon to be Mother in law was also involved in corruption in PA. Something about voting machines being fixed but I can’t remember the details.

Does anybody know about this? I saw it posted on Facebook?

Thanks linda. I am so pleased that Hillary was totally against this.

The BBC’s Daniel Sandford in Washington called it “uncharacteristically undiplomatic language” from Mrs Clinton.

Talk about being undiplomatic. They didn’t give 2 shits what we Americans thought, just their precious oil deal.

Maybe now that the Republicans are getting a taste of the thugery, we can all come together and beat these people back. Together this time.
