Mitch Daniels Looks and Acts Like Actor Leslie Jordan (Beverly Leslie From Will & Grace and Brother Boy from Sordid Lives) Republican Reponse to State of the Union Address Tonight
Whenever Cocktail Party Republicans start talking about how wonderful Mitch Daniels supposedly is, before my mind conjures up an image of the actual Daniels, I first think of actor Leslie Jordan who played Beverly Leslie on Will & Grace and Brother Boy on Sordid Lives.
Daniels is 5’4″ tall, shops in the boys’ department at Sears, has the world’s most egregious comb-over, and speaks with a squeaky little voice that’s frequently been used in Indiana to discuss terms of surrender to The Tolerant Left on many issues important to conservatives and Tea Party Americans.
He is a wimp of the first order, which is what the Cocktail Party favors in its candidates — for reasons I will never understand.
Why was this man chosen to give the Republican State of the Union Address….when that honor should have gone to someone like Congressman Allen West, who would have absolutely clobbered Barack Obama in a memorable way.
Instead, the Cocktail Party serves up another wimpy, squeaky, milquetoast cucumber and mayonnaise darling.
WHY?

UPDATE: MSNBC is really stoking the “Mitch Daniels will replace Romney” if Newt Gingrich wins Florida meme.
Chuck Todd was really pushing this in particular. MSBC was repeating over and over that “Newt can’t beat Obama” and that “only Romney can beat Obama”. If you can’t see for yourself that the media wants Romney to be the nominee so that he will in fact lose to Obama, then there is no help for you.
It is clear, however, that the media and Cocktail Party are now scared that Romney has imploded and that’s where this “we’ll just insert Mitch Daniels” into this instead.

I’ll put Daniels’ speech up as soon as I see it on YouTube.
They’ve got him sitting on a phone book, stiffly reading off a TelePrompter. He is a good reader, but he has no emotion in his voice. He reminds me of my high school principal reading the morning’s announcements. He gives a long, running stream of information that I tune out. He’s trying hard not too blink too much, but blink just enough so that he doesn’t seem off-putting. That itself is unnatural and off-putting.
Mitch Daniels is creepy.
This is not as big a disaster as 2009 when Bobby Jindal delivered the Republican response to Obama — Daniels did not make a fool of himself, but he also did nothing to show me what the fuss is about this man.
Mitch Daniels needs to get someone to buzz his head and get rid of the comb-over. He also must learn how to speak so it doesn’t sound like he’s reading.
Allen West should have been picked to do this State of the Union Response. He would have knocked it out of the park.
Mitch Daniels reminded me of Kathleen Sebelius when she did the Democrats’ response in 2008:
She did that same, standing there, reading from a TelePrompTer, pretending to be the principal of a nice, moderately-priced, private school in the suburbs morning announcement routine.

I will say that if Rachel Maddow doesn’t like Daniels and if he pissed off the unions by trying to strip their collective bargaining rights that earns him points in my book — but it still can’t overcome how much of a twerp he comes off as when he speaks or how nebbishly he behaves himself on camera.
This is not a man who can defeat Barack Obama…and the Cocktail Party has no ability to just waltz in and decide, “Screw you voters, we’re running that little guy from Indiana who sounds funny” instead of anyone people are voting on.

Bwa ha ha ha! The resemblance is uncanny! And remember, the Cocktail Party wanted Mitch to run for president but his philandering wife didn't want the spotlight. We dodged a bullet there!
All I gotta say, is OMG, this is who they pick for a rebuttal?!?!
you know what, these repubs look like they are willing to let 2012 go, there are so many better people to pick, not some governor, who may be a good governor, but a forgetabble one.
Bob Mccdoneld of VA would have been better, susanna martinez, there are so many others. Why do these pick these lame cocktail party repubs. I liked when they picked paul ryan last year, he did an awesome job.
The reason the cocktail party GOP wants Daniels to give the GOP rebuttal to the SOTU (which I prefer to call STFU BO) is because they're actually considering running him as their chosen one if Mittens fails in the FL primary. Sort of their trial buffoon balloon so to speak. Yep, they really do want to do everything they can to make sure their candidate is the weakest possible to go against BO in the general. They ignore the Tea Party and Gov. Palin, they bash Newt and prop up Mittens. They really do want the status quo (corrupt crony capitalist/permanent political class) system to remain in place because it's how they keep getting richer at the American taxpayers' expense. It no longer matters whether there's a D or an R next to a politician's name. If they've been in office more than a couple of years, they're part of the CCC/PPC. It's really just one corrupt vulturous party, with two wings.
I have said this before, the GOP establishment has much more in common with the left in terms of ideology and behavior than they do with the Tea Party. The GOP cucumber and mayo society does NOT want to win. Instead they want an excuse NOT to win. They are perfectly fine with BHO in office. That's why they keep running stealth candidates for Obama.
So we can just replace candidates now? Since when is that a thing?
I think the Cocktail Party elitist GOP is about to get a lesson in humility if they try this or any other substitution stunt.
Tea Party. It's what's for breakfast.
All I know is that if the establishment gets to make a substitution, the Tea Party had better demand one of our own. And if we have to send a team of highly trained persons on snowmachines to get her, so be it.
I made sure all the TVs in the house were turned off during Zero's SOTU and I just hung out on Twitter, then when it was over I flipped the TV on to see the GOP response, and Mitch Daniels was so freaking DULL that it was unwatchable. I turned the TV back off and paid attention to my husband.
The GOP elitists snobs are jackasses if they think this piece of milquetoast would do anything but hand Zero another 4 years. We HAVE 4 candidates remaining who have been working their asses off seeking the GOp nomination but the moron establishment thinks that they can just decree that another limp wristed gutless weenie should be coronated because THEY don't like that we've been thinking for ourselves and voting for who we feel will actually do the job best? Screw them. Jackasses.
I want to see a Gingrich/Santorum ticket. I really like RS and endorsed him, but more and more I think it is NEWT who has the wherewithal to beat the ever living snot out Caliph WTF and his leftarded minions.
Regarding the TVs being off in your house, I was at the gym during the buildup/beginning of the State of the Union. I went ahead and did my cardio first so that I could avoid having to look at the TVs when it came on.
Once I got home, my husband and I went out to eat. Unfortunately, the TVs at the restaurant were still playing the address. We ended up sitting at a four person table, both facing away from the TVs so that we didn't have to watch it.
Looking at Daniels accomplishments it looks like he's able to do more behind the scenes than in public. Unfortunately for him, we need a candidate who can do both.
