I just saw this on Facebook today — it’s the latest image the Tolerant Left is using to portray Willard “Mittens” Romney as out of touch with regular Americans. This is part of Barack Obama’s “Occupy & Persecute” re-election strategy, which replaces 2008 old-and-busted “Hope & Change” with unrestrained class warfare at a time when millions of Americans are suffering financially — and are thus primed to fall into the trap Democrats are setting for an emotional “Us vs. Them!” election.
Is this seriously the man that the Cocktail Party GOP establishment elite wants to send out as its standard bearer while the Occupy Wall Street types are being conditioned to make a frontal assault on Romney-as-classic-Wall-Street-Villain caricature?
Seriously?

Kim Curry If you read through the comments above, that is pointed out by those who posted the photos. The obvious point is Romney is so out of touch with people (measured by his continuous gaffes (i.e. saying the rest of the world doesn’t put hand over heart while singing their nat’l anthems (!)) plus eagerness to make a $10,000 bet, not wanting to release tax returns, and saying speaking fees of almost $400,000 wasn’t a lot of money). Maybe Mitt should have tried being a community organizer even for a week to see how the other 99% lives.

Morgan St Everest Dances I will work very hard to make sure Romney is not elected President but I am too attached to facts to not be informative while I do it: Mitt Romney, in this picture, is actually seated to have his shoes checked with a metal detector on the tarmac of the airport, not to have his shoes shined. In Being Liberal’s defense, Romney did in fact make a joke later insinuating he was getting his shoes shined but, alas, the iconic picture is more an example of public perception of Romney as a gauche elitist than it is evidence of that fact. And it IS a fact.

Griffin Howland just so you guys know, Obama has cut public sector jobs for about 8 months straight now, and has been creating private sector jobs for about 24 months straight, causing our unemployment to drop to 8.3%, and another 300,000 Americans will get a job in the private sector this month so ya. Then there's the picture of the obama-slave white guy scrambling up Air Force One's steps with his umbrella to keep the usurper's head from getting too much sun.
And the real elitism comes from the protected usurpation, his allowance to kill the Constitution and Rule of Law, grotesque theft of Americans. Witness in Georgia, the elitist Obama didn't even show up for court (nor did his lawyer), did not present evidence, did not refute evidence, yet was handed a judgement ruling in his favor.
So while the rest of us might be held to account under the law, Obama is ABOVE the law. Or they let this elitist be so.

I assume you know that the picture of Romney is a TSA screening not a shoe shine, right? Note the wand… This picture was debunked weeks ago.

Please check this picture of Romney further. I'm not a Romney fan. But I've seen this picture portrayed before as a having his shoes done. The truth seems to be it was a security check. Think of someone having their shoes done. The person sits at their feet to do the polishing. The man is waving a security wand over Romney and he was waving it over his shoes when the picture was snapped.
A quick google, will show this is indeed a security check!
Okay, so this is a TSA screening. Where can I go to sit down and not be required to take my shoes off while getting wanded? Where is the full-body radiation treatment the rest of us have to endure? Regardless of what is happening, the picture depicts Romney as entitled.
