Lindsey Graham about to be outed…whom did he cross on the Left to end his usefulness to them?
If you include a shoutout to Bette Davis in your official Senate picture, you aren't fooling anyone.
Apparently, Lindsey Graham is about to be outed…because he did not give the Left votes they wanted in this lame duck session.
That seems stupid, frankly, because Graham squeals “How high?” whenever the Left tells him to do anything.
Whenever I write about closeted gay Republicans, I know a lot of you write in thread comments that “people shouldn’t care about their sexual identity”. This is, on the surface, true. If we lived in a world of “should”, then this would be the case…where in addition to this these closeted gay Republicans “should” stick to conservative principles, vote the way their constituents want them to, and never allow the Left to blackmail them. But, that’s not the magical world we live in.
Instead, we have men like Lindsey Graham, who are closeted gays, who have been blackmailed by the Left for years…so that whenever the Left needs a turncoat Republican to stick the GOP and conservatives in the back, and the Maine Sisters and Lisa Murkowski are busy somewhere, Graham can be counted on to do whatever the Left wants…lest the Left release the pictures it has of him, doing whatever it is he’s doing, which I’m sure isn’t flower-arranging.
The Left might be cutting Graham loose now that Mark Kirk is heading to the Senate from Illinois, and he’s another gay Republican the Left has all the goods on and will out in spectacular fashion the next time they need to give the GOP a black eye about something. Apparently, there’s a video — not just pictures — of Kirk at some party, which was an all-boy affair. In the last days of the Senate race here in Illinois this year, there was buzz in GOP circles that somehow David Axelrod had got ahold of “the video”. That was the first many of us had ever heard of a “video”…but the fact that Kirk’s campaign was worried about it getting out must mean a video of him and guys up to various hijinks could possibly exist. Maybe Democrats have it. Maybe they will start blackmailing Kirk as Graham’s replacement. Maybe there’s no video but Kirk’s just led a very interesting, closeted life and he realizes he set himself for all sorts of guessing games in the years ahead, as to whether or not videos exist.
Republicans prove they are the Party of Stupid in many ways, but how they handle their closeted gay Senators and Congressmen is the most foolish.
They should, honestly, have all these guys just come out of the closet one day…all together…in a big prime time special or something. Just get it all over with. Do it on a day that no one is really paying attention to politics, like on Super Bowl Sunday or something. And then the Democrats won’t be able to blackmail anyone.
What’s hilarious is that in Illinois Aaron Schock, another closeted gay Republican, is being groomed to be the GOP’s 2014 Senate nominee against Dick Durbin…which would mean, if Schock wins, that Illinois would have two closeted gay Republicans representing it. If Schock would just come out, he’d probably win that 2014 race by a wider margin…because he’s great looking, a nice and smart man, and it would be mighty hard to make an argument against his election in many circles here in Chicago. If the GOP can pull just an extra point or two in Chicago and do well in its suburbs, it wins in Illinois. Schock could do that as a young, gay, conservative…and could do wonders to changing the perception of both conservatives AND gays in Democrat and Republican ranks, respectively.
But, GOP consultants must be telling him to stay in the closet or risk losing conservative support…just as Kirk, Graham, Charlie Crist, Larry Craig, Mark Foley, and all sorts of other gay Republicans have been told through the years that they had to allow Democrats to blackmail them and go along with this stupid game if they wanted to keep their positions.
GOP consultants are stupid.
Democrats lose so much power and leverage if all of these guys would just come out, come out, wherever they are.

The voting record of every liberal leftist voting pol today gets exposed to the public via the internet.Grahamnesty has been exposed and now will get outed. Hooray. The TEA Party led RINO hunt that began with the demise of Dede Scozzafava continues taking down Bennett, Castle, and Christ.
In years past the congressional RINO corruptocrats who were leftist tools of the democrap statists in Congress had the media covering their scat encrusted keesters back home by burying the voting records of leftist useful idiots such as Goober and Daschle.
Congresscritters who voted contrary to the will of their people they supposedly represent & who rise to national prominence bring attention to their voting records and doom themselves. When the voters back home gets wind of such exposed pols they get thrown out of office by voters.
Goober Graham has since 2008 been outing himself as a leftist tool to his South Carolina conservative constituents. Moves are already underway to primary him in 2014 because of his RINO voting record. To try and save his political posterior in South Carolina he has been voting with conservatives recently as illustrated by his dumping his global warming deal with statist democraps earlier this year.
Goober not only has painted himself into the proverbial political corner but caught his posterior in a painfully pinching crack forcing him to His vote the conservative positions recently to assauage the angry constiituents while displeasing his leftist blackmailing beltway bosses
Goober's come to Jesus recent conservative stance has obviously outraged his leftist masters left who are now set to out him as gay. Goober Graham is about to get what he has long deserved.
One needs to be mindful that it was Goober and his allies in Columbia many of them closet gays who attempted to smear and politically destroy Nikki Haley as an adultress in Bible Belt South Carolina during the Republican gubentorial race.
Goober Grahamnesty will soon have has his memesis in the Statehouse back home, voters universally outraged at his RINO voting record, a non-old boys black Republican Congressman assuming office, and his Beltway boss leftists democraps outraged and poised to out him as gay.
Can we say Goober Graham is cooked! Stick in the fork! He's done! Good riddance to bad rubbish. Goober can join Daschle in the ranks of the defeated and deposed. Nikki Haley can appoint a new conservative republican Senator from South Carolina. The Mills of God Grind Slowly but they Grind Exceeding Fine.
He needs to call Sarah Palin asap and get instructions on how to respond. When they tried to make an issue of her writing on her hand, she just mocked them by writing "Hi Mom!" on her hand. When they tried to say she had pretended to be Trig's mother so that her daughter wouldn't be known to have had a baby out of wedlock, she essentially said that was not possible because her daughter was pregnant at that time, out of wedlock. She could teach Graham a thing or two about being who you are, and telling others to take a hike.
If he's gay and comes out on his own, he can't be blackmailed any more, can he? Then, if he's actually Conservative, he can start voting that way, and his constituents in SC will stop being so pissed at him.
I want him out of the Senate because he's not a reliable vote for Conservative issues. If he was a reliable vote, I wouldn't care if he was Martian, as long as he fulfilled the SC residence requirements before being elected.
OMG – Kevin, although you have been sending out the alarms and warnings for as long as I've been reading and commenting, I am still shocked that it will happen. It just seems Shakespearean in tragedy that his hubris and misplaced trust in his blackmailers kept him in office this long. After all we as a nation have seen and experienced in politicians trying to hold "secrets" that we now know will always be disclosed, why would anyone STILL try to beat the odds? Sad and also maddening because more important than the politician, is the family, friends, supporters, and staffs that get blindsided or outed, and all the suffering that causes.
Has anyone here ever seen the 1961 movie "Victim"? It's on YouTube if you want to watch it – it's about gay guys in England being blackmailed back when homosexuality was still illegal there. I just watched it again yesterday and it's really surreal thinking of gay public figures still being blackmailed. Not that I don't believe it…
It kills me how the article talks about "whether he's gay, straight, or asexual". Clearly, these are the only three possible sexual orientations. *eyeroll*
There was an excellent novel and movie with the same theme called "Advise and Consent", dating back to the early 1960s. Henry Fonda played a leftish academic type that the president (Fredric March) wanted to appoint to Secretary of State. The plot revolves around the machinations that occur in the Senate over the vote, one of which involves a senator from Utah who is being blackmailed due to an affair he had with a fellow soldier while in the army. I won't give away the ending in case anyone hasn't seen it – it's an excellent movie although it is a bit dated by today's standards. But it clearly shows the film's creators' view of how politics REALLY work.
We have has two Congress Critters from the Second District in Oklahoma who were widely thought to be gay, but, strangely enough both were Democrats. They were the late Mike Synar (lifelong bachelor who was rarely seen in OK), who died of cancer and Brad Carson (married to a quiet little blonde whose body language screamed "I never touch this man in private."), who tried to move from the House to the Senate. He was far too Liberal and to my knowledge moved out of state.
It seems to me that if I were a closeted gay politician that now would be a great time to come out. I mean, wasn't Obama just heralding himself yet again after signing DADT at how tolerant his party is? In fact, Graham blew his golden opportunity; he should have made his coming out speech right on the tail of the signing. Really, what could anyone have said?
Is there any way to change this, maybe by getting donors involved? (I'm thinking on my feet here, so stay with me.)
How could you get one of the big 'uns to tell Schock that, until he comes out, no more money? Or get them to pressure the more localised money distributors (the RNC seems to be finished)?
This is from the same guy who kept insisting that he had a torrid love affair with Nicki Haley, so I'm going to just say that anything that comes out of his mouth is suspect.
As for Graham, it's fairly obvious that he's gay, considering that he's a 50-something single man from South Carolina. I think that everyone in South Carolina suspects that as well (because being an unmarried middle-aged straight man isn't allowed in South Carolina). However, they'd prefer him to remain quiet about it already because South Carolina is really not ready for that. (They just elected a woman of Indian descent governor; the good ole boys need some time to recover from that.)
As for all the other people mentioned as gay on this blog, I think that it is done (as with Graham) to preserve their careers. People might root for the gay designers on Project Runway or invite the nice gay couple down the street for dinner. I think that they are less likely to vote for gay politicians or their tween daughters would be less likely to want to see the teenybopper movie where the actor plays the romantic lead. For gay Republican politicians, this is even worse because a good thirty percent of primary voters are socials cons like Huckabee who are still very prejudiced against gays. Just look at any conservative blog site about repeals against Don't Ask Don't Tell, and you'll see the same arguments that Pat Robertson was probably making in the 1980s.
I think they should come out, too. When the large number of gay people in the Republican "establishment" are finally out, we can all see just how loving and tolerant the whackadoos on the left really are to gay people. Hopefully, that would mean more gay people will wake up and join we conservatives in saving America from petty, hate-filled, intolerant, mean-spirited, anti-American socialists.

Is Lindsey Graham still in Military Service? He was part of JAG (Judge Advocate Generals offices) and was even an instructor for them (according to Wikipedia he was an instructor through 2010. But nothing after that.
Maybe he is waiting for DADT to go away so he can come out and not mess out on his Military Retirements benefits. He has been in the military since 1982.

I think that closeted gay republicans should come out collectively against the left and not allow that information to be used against them. I think it's sad that they've been blackmailed by a party who is supposedly screaming for "gay rights".
I agree, I think gay republicans that were open about being gay would find that the intolerance and vile would come from the leftist bastards (hope that's ok to say, I'm just sook fed up with the left!!!). I think it would really shine a huge spotlight on just how vicious the left is.
I noticed he was sucking up to the Tea Party all the sudden. It seemed strange. Surely he doesn't think the Tea Party folks are that stupid? Maybe he does. Or your theory makes more sense. When the Republicans start turning the screws on Obama he is going to use every form of blackmail and bribery he can think of.
You're right Bev, we in S.C. have noticed that also, especially in the past two weeks. He has not been himself, he's been very different. In a recent interview on Fox, he almost sounded like DeMint! His smug, condescending attitude is gone too. I think he's scared silly, and it's really tragic.

I wish he would do that (call Axerats bluff). If he then visits Hillbuzz regularly, he may be able to redeem himself with me. I think his politics are probably conservative but the impending threat of being outed has prevented him from voting that way. If i am wrong then I want him gone!

GOP consultants are the one's who have painted the Tea Party as aliens from another planet. They have scared establishment Republicans away from listening to and considering the Tea Party from day one. Even after realizing their colossal miscalculation, these consultants won't eat the necessary crow to admit their error.
Keeping gay repubs in the closet is another colossal error that I doubt will be corrected any time soon. The GOP never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
As for Senator Graham, I sympathize with his plight, but cannot forgive him choosing his own career over obligations to his constituents and his country. Blackmail is wrong and unfortunate, but it is also dead wrong to give into the demands of a blackmailer.
If elected officials cannot be honest with themselves, how can they ever be honest with those whom they are sworn to serve? Moral courage is in short supply.
